Remember I am not a medical professional. I am relaying things I have learned from other Lyme sufferers or from research I have done. When you implement any supplements or diet changes only do one at a time so if something doesn’t agree with you or you have a reaction you can easily identify what caused the reaction. I am listing on these pages what I have observed or seen studies to support that they have worked. It is best to alternate the things you use. I have found that works the best it also keeps things that would be otherwise safe to use from building up to the point where they become toxic like some vitamins. Some things can take three to four days before you will realize the effects.
Avoid GMOs at all cost the terrible impact they have on our health has been well research and documented. They have been shown to cause leaky gut syndrome, cancer, blood disorders, digestive disorders etc. The toxins they produce have even been found to cross the blood brain barrier and the placenta.
To fight infection you need to make sure you detox everyday. So I will make a list of things important for cleansing the body of toxins.
1 Water make sure that you drink lots of unchlorinated water. Chlorine is toxic to the body and very difficult for the body to get rid of. If you cannot avoid chlorinated water then I would recommend taking a boron supplement it is one of the few things that can remove chlorine from the body.
2 Dandelion you can use this as a tea as greens in a salad some like to cook them. I love deep frying the flowers. I have a post on here on how I deep fry them. Dandelions have been shown to remove heavy metals and many other toxins from the body. It has many micro-nutrients and has been shown to hinder and even reverse cancer. It has been shown to protect and heal the renal system.
3 Potassium Iodide protects the body from radioactive iodine. Iodine is needed for the proper function of the lymphatic system which helps to develop immunity to pathogens we come in contact with. It also bone in bone health. Helps remove many toxins from the body. I would not take anymore then 50 mcg a day.
4 Chlorophyll helps to detox is one of the few things that will help to remove mercury from the body. It also helps to support and protect the health of our blood. Has many antioxidant properties.
It did upset my stomach if I took it on an empty stomach but it fights candida and many other infections.
Good sources of chlorophyll is any produce that is green.
5 Citruline for some it is difficult for their bodies to remove ammonia from their bodies. If our citruline levels get low our bodies cannot remove ammonia. Citruline helps remove ammonia from our bodies. It also helps fight infection and prevents muscle fatigue.
Good sources of citruline are melons, squash, cucumbers, pumpkins, fish, and eggs.
Remember when pathogens die they put out toxins so detoxing must be a daily thing. One thing I did not mention earlier that helped with my detoxing was salt water with lemon and honey. There are many natural ways to fight infection. I am listing as many as I can to make it easier for each person to find something that may help them because each of us has certain herbs that are more readily available to us depending on our location globally. The list is big I would recommend you choose things based on your research of the herb. Www.webmd.com is a great resource for information on drug interactions and side effects of herbs.

Supporting Immune System
Supporting the immune system is important because when we have an infection or even cancer it can wear our immune system down. I don’t really believe for the most part in stimulating it because that can cause other problems. There are parts of the immune system that I will discuss later that Lyme sufferers could try to stimulate.
1 Aloe Vera the stomach is key to our immune system if it does not heal then all the other things we do will be futile. Aloe Vera helps heal leaky gut. I have had the best results with liquid aloe vera capsules.

9 Vitamin E (A-tocopherol) helps with deep down healing and has antioxidant properties. If there is a DL in the front of the name it is man made and the body has a difficult time using it so I would stay away from supplements that have a DL in them for example DL-A-tocopherol.
Good sources are sunflower seeds, nuts, spinach, broccoli, kiwi, mango, and tomatoes.
10 Horsetail Herb (Aquamin) this has silica which the bones need to stay healthy. It also needs silica to build new bone. !! Good sources are meat and milk from grass fed animals. For some reason grain fed animals do not produce as much.
15 Ginkgo Biloba aids in blood circulation which helps with healing.
16 Selenium needed for the proper synthesis of hormones so we can fight disease and heal. Also helps repair DNA.
Good sources are sea food, brazil nuts, milk products, and greens. Make sure if you take in a supplement you do not get too much. No more then 150 mcg because your body can store it. 17 Potassium Iodide I mentioned this earlier but many people are low in this. It is very important in the function of the lymphatic system and healing of the bone.
18 Cholesterol helps balance hormones also keeps the lymphatic system from becoming clogged. It is integral in all functions of the body. It also functions as an antioxidant and protects our DNA. The type of cholesterol our body needs is Oxidized Cholesterol found in unprocessed foods. Good sources of cholesterol are free range chicken eggs, milk products from grass feed animals. Again I don’t know why but grain fed animals produce a bad type of cholesterol. Avocados, legumes, and beans are also good sources of cholesterol.
19 Choline we need choline to break down fats so our bodies can use them. Choline also helps with nerve repair. Helps provide the body with more energy.
Good sources of choline are eggs, and milk products.

It also has antimicrobial properties and reduces Candida.

28 Multivitamin take a good quality multivitamin if you can. I would not take more then a few times a week because usually if you do you only end up peeing the rest of them out.
Lyme Sufferers Only
This is one that I am nervous mentioning because it could result in someone getting very ill. If you have Lyme and your immune system has been suppressed there are things that will help, only do this if you have had the numbers of the spyrochete lowered in your body or it may set off a nightmarish cytokine response. Lyme decreases IL-4 to stealth itself from the immune system.
Echinacia (E. angustifolia and E. Pallida) are the types to use. This has been know to increase IL-4. Also a Chinese herb called Furling has been shown to increase IL-4 production.
Modern day wheat can be hard for our bodies to process. If you are like me and if you can find it try getting Einkorn Wheat. It is the type that our ancestors used and it is easier for our bodies to process.
