Cancer, what causes it? What may help with it.

This is not medical advice. I am posting this for educational and informational purposes.

These are the notes I compiled together from my friend in our group on Facebook , Synergistic Illness. They are an amazing group of people with amazing thinking abilities in my opinion. After ready my friends post and their notes I came to realize that just like diabetes, autoimmunity is not caused by one thing but is a result of a number of things working synergistically to effect the body cancer is also an illness caused by a synergistic effect of a number of things. It also lead me to believe that restoring homeostasis to the things in the body that can contribute to cancer is the best way to recover. An imbalance either direction can contribute to cancer. Most of the things in this article I have posted information on them.

Acidosis and alkalosis are signs of health problems that need addressed. If the health problems causing them are addressed then trying to fight any illness is futile and is like running on a hamster wheel. I have posted on those.

Mitochondria regulate our immune response and oxidative stress. Many things can cause mitochondria dysfunction. This can lead to metabolic issues, excess oxidative stress and autoimmunity which can lead to cancer and other chronic illness.

There are many problems in cancer research and it leads to many mistakes in their attempts to cure it. The part that frustrates me is the main causes of cancer are things like inflammation, metabolic disorders and autoimmune issues. I believe people are focusing too much on the symptom and not the cause. If they focused on getting the body at homeostasis they would have more success in fighting any chronic illness including cancer. Cancer is a symptom not necessarily the cause of the illness. Science now focuses on the symptoms instead of the cause. I guess this may be because the pharmaceutical industry is the cause of many types of chronic illness and if they looked at the cause they may lose funding from the pharmaceutical industry. Also the biotech industry is owned by the pharmaceutical industry and it is a cause of much of the chronic illness now days. So many researchers are stuck in a hard place, if they looked at the cause they risk losing funding and most likely would lose their jobs.

Cancer is usually metabolic illness or autoimmunity and sometimes both. One thing common in most cancers is that it uses glycolysis instead of phosphorylation. Not all cancer uses the Warburg effect some do use oxygen and glucose. What I found common in most cancer is they require and acidic environment to thrive.

Fructose feeds cancer in a different way then glucose does. I do not believe fructose in fruits would do this because naturals source of fructose are usually things that inhibit cancer growth. When things get extracted from a plant and are in their pure form the way they effect the body changes and it acts more like a drug with side effects.

There are many things that can set off mast cell activation syndrome. It is very important to address whatever is causing it and get the immune system back to homeostasis because excessive mast cell activity can lead to chronic illness and cancer. People were promoting antioxidants for cancer. The problem with that is there are man metabolic issues that if not corrected will cause antioxidants to cause or increase cancer. In this study they claimed bile acid caused cancer. When I looked deeper into it I found it was a lack of certain gut bacteria that break down the more toxic forms of bile. Bile acids are also involved in inhibiting cancer. This is why it is important to try and achieve homeostasis. We have to get the idea of killing things out of our heads and learn to support the body so it can do what it was designed to do. There are bile acids that are carcinogenic, our gut bacteria and fiber help reduce those. Also our bodies when functioning properly will recycle bile and reduce the carcinogenic effects. This is why if we have an over production or under production of bile we need to address what is causing it, whether it be from toxins, inflammation, a gut microbiome imbalance or any of the other number of things that can disrupt bile homeostasis.

Cancer as an infection. I have suspected this as a child. I would see people who got diagnosed with cancer take antibiotics and shortly after their cancer would be gone. This stands to reason because some infections cause inflammation and metabolic issues which lead to cancer. Even now you see studies showing an antibiotic reduces cancer. Problem with that is it disrupts our gut bacteria which is known to cause cancer.

This study shows that folic acid and B12 can increaste the risk of cancer. This leads me to believe that the person may have problems converting B12. It would build up in the body and studies have shown this increases risk of cancer. This can be corrected with proper nutrients. Also folic acid is different then folate and has been known to cause cancer because the body makes very little of the enzyme needed to break down folic acid. This study shows the importance of homeostasis because in many studies I have read over stimulation of something can cause another form of cancer to develop and completely inhibiting something can cause other forms of cancer to develop. Homeostasis should be the goal because once the body is at homeostasis it will do what it was designed to do and that is to keep us healthy. We achieve homeostasis with proper nutritional support, addressing any metabolic issues, addressing health issues like a deficiency in certain gut bacteria. We should also help support our antioxidant system so that antixodants can do their job. If our antioxidant system is not working then antioxidants will actually increase our oxidative stress. It is very important to reduce inflammation but the body also uses inflammation to tell the body something is wrong and it will stimulate healing. So we do not want to completely block inflammation but reduce excess inflammation.
