Why isn’t society asking why?

written by Lee Stevenson, sorry I am not the best editor.

Chronic illness used to be rare. Now people have come to accept it as a normal part of life. I do not understand why they are not questioning things and wondering why this is the case now days. Cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease are rampant. So many new types of chronic illness have been springing up there are new diseases with new name springing up left and right. Why would these diseases no one every heard of or seen before start happening? Why isn’t society asking why? Since the introduction of the Covid vaccine people are dying suddenly of cardiac failure , liver failure and kidney failure on a level never seen before in history. Many of they are very young. People are developing types of cancer that medical professionals have never seen before. They are saying it is the most aggressive and fastest growing cancer they have ever seen since they have introduced the Covid vaccines. Why are people not asking why? There are many things we should be questioning and should have been before they introduced the Covid vaccines.

They tell us that nitrite and nitrate will cause cancer we should avoid eating it. It is needed to protect the body in many ways and a deficiency can cause ischemia to organs in the body leading to organ damage and brain damage. It can also cause obesity and metabolic diseases. Low nitric oxide makes a person very prone to infection. Low nitric oxide causes cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Who profits from all these illnesses? You have to consider many of the government organizations world wide get most of their funding to do research from the pharmaceutical industry. Political figures world wide get most of their funding from the pharmaceutical industry. So who are they going to protect the citizen or the one who is keeping them in power?

They tell us that cholesterol and fat are bad for us. Every cell in the body needs fat and cholesterol. The heart and brain cannot function without fat and cholesterol. The brain is made up of at least 60% fat and cholesterol. The body uses fat as it’s main source of energy. If it does not get enough fats the mitochondria start to become dysfunctional, they start relying on glucose for energy which can cause systemic inflammation and oxidative stress. Cholesterol is one of the most potent antioxidants. Studies have shown those with lower LDL die younger and are more prone to mental decline when they age. If LDL is high it indicates the antioxidant system is working but the body is fighting something whether it is a toxin, infection, injury from a pharmaceutical product or even stress. If your under a lot of stress or have an infection or have been exposed to a toxin and your LDL remains low then you have a much higher risk of mortality because it indicates your antioxidant system may not be working. Reducing LDL instead of addressing the problem causes the brain to shrink, damages the heart and many other organs and rapidly speeds up aging. Who profits from this?

Society has been indoctrinated to be afraid of germs. They have found those who get certain infections like zika, measles, or chicken pox have a higher resistance to developing cancer and allergies. Certain pharmaceutical products that are supposed to protect you from those supposed dangerous infections do the opposite they make you more prone to developing cancer and allergies. Who profits from this? Do you give government entities money to do research? The political figures world wide are not going to bite the hand that feeds them. They are going to continue to help those who put them in power , have a steady supply of customers so they can guarantee their political careers are more secure. Go against the pharmaceutical industry and you have pretty much guaranteed political suicide. They make people paranoid of dirt but dirt is were we get our microbes that protect our brain, keep our microbes in our gut balanced and prevent infections. Who profits from all of this?

The biotech industry is owned by the pharmaceutical industry. Our food supply has become severely toxic. The governments world wide know this but do all they can to protect the biotech/pharmaceutical industry. They only care about power and money. The political figures who do go against the biotech or pharmaceutical industry will not remain in power long. We got to see the power and authority the pharmaceutical industry has with the Covid pandemic. They easily got things forced on people and rights taken away. Peoples greed for power and money has blinded them to the fact that they are powerless without the pharmaceutical industry. They will have to face God for putting their faith in man and not God and caving to the sinful will of the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. God does not take excuses for answers. So ultimately they will pay for what they are doing.

I remember a time where people died in their sleep and lived a life pretty free of suffering. Chronic illness is so rampant now that most die a slow and miserable death. Many have come to accept this as normal. Cancer and autoimmunity used to be rare now it is common and people don’t even think twice when someone has cancer or autoimmune disease. When I was younger it was even rare for elderly to be on a medication now going by statistics up to 80% of U.S. citizens are on a medication. Medications only address the symptoms they do not address the cause of illness. Medications usually damage the body causing a person to eventually rely on multiple medications. They get people on medical hamster wheels by damaging them with their vaccines, medications, farm chemical, GMO foods and then they have life time customers who die slow miserable deaths. Why have people come to accept these things as normal?

They are challenging vaccine mandates and winning.

Written by Lee Stevenson,

Many are challenging the vaccine mandates and winning. Some have been awarded money. Since the data is coming out showing those who got the Covid vaccine had a much much higher mortality rate and a much much higher rate of infection people are winning their vaccine lawsuits. My question now is can the social media companies be sued for lying about the safety and efficacy of the Covid vaccines? They influenced many to get the vaccine with their lies. So many have been harmed by their lies. Should they not be held accountable? I would say more people need to start lawyering up. Even states are being sued and losing.

I would not be surprised if those injured or harmed by the vaccines start suing the social media sites because they were lying about the safety and efficacy of the vaccines. If someone based their decision to get the vaccine based on the misinformation the social media sites promoted, because they censored information that showed the harm being done, it seems they most likely can be sued also. Information already came out showing that the social media site were deliberately censoring information when people where warning about the harm the vaccines were doing.

Won ten million.

How lying, deception and immorality effect the minds and a person’s health.

Written by Lee Stevenson

People can deliberately suppress memories of guilt from deception, lying or doing something immoral. But it comes at a price it effects and even starts damaging the brain causing personality alterations, changes in behavior and it negatively impacts their health.

These is not to be taken ans something to diagnose someone with or treat them or oneself. Therapist are best for healing mentally. I am writing this so people can be aware when they start seeing changes in others behavior, but you should not assume because they show some of the symptoms they are being deceptive, lying are being immoral. Some illnesses and toxins can cause some of these symptoms. This usually occurs suddenly and more and more of the symptoms occur with the longer the suppress the guilt or memories of guilt.

Ever notice those people who are prejudice , or who may steal or may commit immoral sexual acts. They cannot recall the things they have done. It is called ethical amnesia. They develop cognitive dissonance because they do not want to admit that they were capable of such things and they conflict with their own self image of who they believe they are morally. They intentionally suppress their memories of guilt. These ones will be ale to recall all the days events but not the time that the immoral act took place. They have memory gaps and cannot tell you all that occurred. For example if a wife spent time with another man. And she committed infidelity. She would remember all the things she did that day but would have memory lapses of the times the event took place that caused the guilt.

These ones subconsciously try to cleanse or remove their guilt by being more prosocial. They will start doing many acts of charity and kindness. They are trying to restore the image they perceived of themselves. They will start speaking out for victims such as children who have been sexually abused or wives who have been abused. They stop talking about their lives in fear it will bring back the memories of guilt or that something they say will expose their guilt and they will have to face it. Even though they have suppressed the memories of guilt they will have Freudian slips of things that can revel they are suppressing guilt surrounding something.

But you may say we all do that. The difference is those ones continually put themselves in positions to fail morally. They also continue to have more and more memory lapses it takes a lot of mental energy to suppress guilt. They will often times start being paranoid and start thinking everyone is out to get them and start pushing people away except those involved with approving of their immoral behavior. They will surround themselves who approve of immoral behavior to make themselves feel they are no different them anyone else and may even be better morally.

If someone does something that reminds them of their guilt they will get angry at them attack them , hate them and resent them. Studies have shown this damages the mind and they continue to lead double lives but the morally decline more and more. They start believing rules and morals do not apply to them. They make up stories that others are the cause of their unhappiness and the convince themselves of it. It becomes easier and easier for them to lie and believe their own lies. This cause even more moral decline. Sadly the quality of their friends continues to decrease as their morals decrease. They stat comparing their morality to others and start looking for flaws in others to make themselves feel like their actions were not immoral and that they are more moral then others. The decline in their morals is a result of them losing their ability to learn from past errors causing them to make even more immoral decisions.

Lying takes a toll on their health because in suppressing the lies they are still aware of the consequences subconsciously so it keep their limbic system upregulated and their HPA upregalted which has dramatic negative effects on their health. In time their minds can adjust to lying and the limbic system and HPA will normalize but the negative effect of them supressing their memory causes them to not only become more deceptive to themselves and others but they lose the ability to detect when someone is is being deceptive or lying. The person’s lies eventually come out even it they suppressed the memory . To try and cover for that lie they have to tell more lies until eventually most will lose trust in them because it become clear they are an untruthful and non remorseful person. People will start avoiding them and distancing themselves from them.

When people have done something that makes them feel shame and guilt. They sometimes will go into a state of denial and avoidance. They avoid, deflect, create fantasies and experience frequent episodes of anger, they will refuse to look at fact and this habit can carry over to other areas of their life not just with the act them committed to make them feel guilt, they also experience psychological projection. This is to try and hide the pain, and trauma from realizing what the long term effects of their actions would be if their immoral act is found out.

Psychological projection is a result of the person trying to disown a part of themselves they do not like, it is a form of self denial. They will blame shift, start shame dumping trying to humiliate the victim, they will over idealize things such as animals or even people. They will refuse to look at the fact. Narcissist and those with Border Line personality disorder are the most prone to doing this.

They project their guilt on others accusing them of what they are actually guilty of. They feel vulnerable because of what they have done so they start bullying the victim. This usually comes from them being insecure or fearing what they may lose because of their actions. This makes them develop disassociative personality disorder, if they do not admit their guilt or continue to add to their guilt. Meaning they may develop two personalities. They can experience amnesia of the events of the immoral acts they had done, they will have gaps in memory, lose their sense of identity to will seek out people with qualities they like and try to imitate them to establish their identity. They have a reduced emotional response, so cannot connect emotionally with others. They compartmentalize their thoughts. They separate their thoughts from their feelings and also thoughts that are not compatible with what they think such as thoughts of guilt. They lose the concept of who they are and their ability of self assessment. Self assessment is how we identify what we like and what we do not like, what we feel is right and what we feel is wrong. They become people pleasers in and attempt to reestablish their identity. They could even experience a change in the sex they identify with. This is in an effort to try and hide the guilt and shame. It is also an attempt to hide the guilt because they fear what the long term outcome will be if they get caught. This is also a sign of being neurotic.

Manipulation and responsibility avoidance. They will create false stories to try and make the victim believe what they saw is not what had occurred. They well act surprised or offended and even angry that it was suggested they had done it. They are hoping the person has insecurities or self doubt. If they do then it can provoke guilt and shame in them, this causes the victim to false reason and start believing they were wrong even though they were right in their assessment. If lying and excuses do not work they will start diverting the blame and making excuses this is involved in impression management.

Impression management the more they do this, the more difficult it gets. They have to remember all the excuses, lies and deception they have done. This causes them to start forgetting things and become easily confused. So if something is sprung upon them quickly they have a difficult time separating the guilt, and suppression of the memories of guilt in their brain making them more prone to slipping up.

They use impression management to persuade people to think a certain way. This is where the increase in their sexual activities come in. Because of their suppression of the guilt memories and has increased other areas of the brain causing them to start seeking out multiple sex partners, because they cannot get joy from little things anymore they start getting thrills from the ability to manipulate and deceive people. This causes them to mostly feel anger and envy especially towards their victim or anyone who could remind them of their guilt even the person they may have committed the immoral act with. They are cool and calm if they believe they are deceiving someone but if they cannot deceive that person then they get very angry towards that person and may even hate them. They lose the ability to feel remorse or shame so their morality declines and so does their empathy and compassion. At this point they try to give people gifts, fake showing them positive emotions, and even act like they are concerned for them. If these things do not get the person to do their will then they will experience their full furry. They will have many people they do this with. They will do everything they can to gain power over them even using sex to draw them in. These ones are the ones who will excessively complement someone. They are trying to convince those around them that they are the greatest. They get very good at hiding who they really are but in private around their families . They can be very mentally and physically abusive. They become very sensitive if someone points out a short coming and will severely attack them and even get violent with them. Anyone they feel can expose their guilt they will smear their reputation and push them out of their life. They go to extremes to try to make it look like they have integrity, and will self promote their integrity.

If all else fails they will try to use anger and intimidation. They will threaten people. Try to put them in a vulnerable postions. They develop many defensive and assertive strategies that usually are subtle and not obvious. They will do things like shaming and belittling someone and pretend like it is a joke to down play what they are really doing. If it comes to solving a problem together they will try to make the other person look as if they are unreasonable or not cooperative. In actuality they are they want the person they are disagreeing with to surrender to their terms. They do this in an effort to make the victim admit everything was their fault and they will not acknowledge their own guilt. They will do things to try to make you feel inferior such as pointing out your short comings and even fabricating them and using errors you made in the past as evidence. They may even us that as evidence that you have a mental illness. We all show since of mental illness at one time or another it is when these symptoms persist over a very long period of time it is a problem . Stress , trauma or illness can all cause us to have mental issues at times. But those who are mentally ill the symptoms last much longer and are more pronounced.

It is all about control so they try to shape your personality and how you think to be like theirs. If they do something that is offensive to you are disrespect you they will accuse you of being too sensitive. They will never apologize because they feel nor remorse or guilt. If you ever meet someone who does not apologize no matter what , it does not matter how nice they are be very careful. When they have been guilty of an immoral act they will try to get you to over think it. Do not do that it will cause you to become confused, which is what they want. If they see you are not thinking about it then they will try to do things to keep your thought focus and over thinking things. If you make them justify why they are reacting the way they do and why they feel the way they do, it usually shuts them down because they know they cannot, they sometime throw things at someone to try and convince them they do not deserve to have any guilt , usually it is pretty obvious. Best to walk away because when that fails they will resort to violence. All these things they are doing is because they are trying to maintain their self esteem.

Situational avoidance they will avoid people and place or activities that could remind them of their guilt.

Cognitive avoidance they deliberately turn their minds , thoughts and memories and avoid thinking about them to suppress their guilt. It is a conscious decision, so they are deliberately choosing to block the memories and lie to themselves. They will do things to try and distract themselves so they will not think about those thoughts. They will take an interest in things and try developing hobbies or get pets to distract themselves.

They will also use toxic positivety. They They will try to convince themselves things are better then they are. They feel insure because they realize the bad outcome and long term effects that their immorality can cause if they are found out. There are things they will refuse to discuss problems or concerns because it is not in compliance with the positive view they have. They blame others for the problems they created and refuse to hold themselves accountable. If they did then it would disprove the false image they have developed of themselves of being moral. They will believe others problems or struggles are their fault because they did not try hard enough or they somehow failed, or are flawed. They have difficulty expressing emotions when they are at this point. They cannot handle stress or unpleasant thoughts because it takes a lot of the brains resources to suppress the guilt and the memories of guilt. They will avoid things that can remind them of their guilt. They will refuse to acknowledge problems and struggle to cope with them especially if they are hit with a new unexpected problem. This can cause them to feel powerless and can make their guilt and shame return resulting in depression and anxiety.

They also will fantasize and day dream a lot as part of their toxic positivety. To avoid their guilt they will start playing out different scenarios in their head of problems and how they can gain control over them. They are not about solving problems but about controlling them. They may day dream on how they can protect their reputation as things are found out. How they could manipulate things so the victim looks like the villain.

Somatic avoidance they will avoid things that bring them joy. Lose the ability to feel remorse, guilt or shame. These are replaced with anger, sadness, resentment, frustration, depression extreme grief. They do this in an effort to exchange the feeling of guilt and shame. This is substitution avoidance.

Substitution avoidance is to avoid feelings of guilt or shame. They replace the feeling of remorse, guilt and shame with anger, resentment, hatred, sadness, depression, and grief. They also try to releive their guilt by increasing their immoral sexual activities which only farther increases their guilt but they have learn to suppress it so it gets easier and easier for them to cross the lines of immorality. They also find other distraction like painting the house. Getting pets, developing a hobby. Sometimes they turn to drugs, and alcohol or develop and addictive type compulsive behavior such as gambling.

When all else fails they will start blaming and accusing the victim and others for the negative effects their immorality had on their lives. They will accuse the victim, people they associate with. They do this and many other things like blame shifting to try and convince themselves their immoral act was not their fault or was justified. They will refuse to play and down play the severity of what they have done. They will start looking for shorting comings and flaws in others in order to make them feel better about themselves.

This is sad because their morals decline more and more. They surround themselves with people who have lower morals and compare themselves to them. As their morals decline they have to choose friends with even lower morals. Eventually they reach the scum at the bottom of the barrel. Usually by then they have experienced violence, have gotten sexually transmitted diseases and was in dangerous situations that almost cost their live many times if they survive that long.

Studies have shown if they confess their guilt , and face it their brain can heal and they can become trust worthy and honest again. Studies have shown that partial confession actually damages the brain more then fully confessing. Their ability to recognize moral boundaries can be restored and their ability to inhibit immoral behavior becomes restore. Also their ability to learn from past error is restored , and they learn to be more cautious when it comes to things pertaining to morality. When their actions show they have truly turned their life around many of their friends and families trust in time can be restored. That note was based on my experience and when I had tried to suppress my guilt.

How repressed or suppressed guilt effects the mind.

Written by Lee Stevenson.

Guilt helps us recognize when we have done something wrong and guides us to taking corrective actions so we do not commit the error again. Suppressing guilt by willfully forgetting the sin that they committed causes damage to the brain and the body. There is a lot of research supporting this. The science has validated what the bible has already taught us. The brain damage gets worse and worse the more the person refuses to remember the guilt and holds onto it. By not repenting it damages their brain and body more and more. They also lose the ability to tell right from wrong causing more and more moral decline. they will take many steps to try to feel they have done no wrong such as increasing acts of charity and kindness, paying more attention to external appearance of themselves and the things around them become obsessed with them looking perfect. The friends they choose will become lower and lower in morality because by surrounding themselves with those who are less moral , they compare themselves and in their minds they say , I am not that bad of a person. But because their morals will continue to decline so will the friends they select, they will select friends who are more and more immoral. They will look at others short comings and pick at them about it that have more morals then they do to try and convince themselves they are morally ok. They well start hating and resenting those who have more morals then they do, even family and start pushing them away.

The problem with suppressing guilt the more guilt someone suppresses the more lies they have to defend until they become suspicious of any questions and will attack a person for asking you questions. This is because they realize how easily they could slip up and reveal something. They will down play what they did and consider it a laps in judgment but those lapses get easier and easier . To the point they no longer feel remorse or guilt but actually view those trying to point out their error as their enemy and in doing so because their actions towards them , they have made them their enemies in their minds. This longer the suppressed guilt is not dealt with the more they will project their negative emotions on others and lash out at them for the littlest things. They are sad in a worldly way, of what they have lost because of their sin. They are not sad in a good way and that means of the loss of being closer to God.

To compensate they will become obsessed with image and how things appear in an attempt to be viewed as righteous to others. They will become obsessed with thier appearance, they will try to use a tone of voice that seems kind to appear to be kind, they will start trying to control everything around them.

Eventually when they have reached the bottom they will take pride in wrong doing and how well they have gotten at hiding it. But they are not hiding it, those aware of their spiritual condition will start trying to distance themselves from them. The only ones they will fool are those in the same low spiritual state. They will see their spiritual state and take advantage of it. (Habakkuk 2:4)  4 Look at the one who is proud; He is not upright within himself. But the righteous one will live by his faithfulness.

King David suppressed his guilt. He had a harsher judgment of others because of his suppressed guilt. It resulted in God punishing David in front of everyone. Because king David do not easily admit his guilt it brought more severe punishment on him .

God would not bless Cain because he was refusing to admit he was sinning. There are many examples of this occurring, people chose to suppress their guilt. This causes them to hate the ones who are righteous. Resulting in them attacking and hating those who are. This is why Cain killed Able.

David did pay the consequences for his sin but God forgive him when he repented thus preserved his life.

Studies have shown repressed memories of guilt ruins your mental and physical health. Causes depression, poor memory , anger , violent tendencies, arrogant attitude which presents as someone looking down on others and seeking out their imperfections and short comings lead to depression and a loss of self identity. It is also them to have unwanted intrusive thoughts. This is because they made their battle to return to God much more difficult. (Luke 11:24-26) 24 “When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through waterless places in search of a resting-place, and after finding none, it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I moved.’ 25 And on arriving, it finds the house swept clean and adorned. 26 Then it goes and takes along seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and after getting inside, they dwell there. So the final circumstances of that man become worse than the first.”

They will start seeing the wicked as good and even downplay their wickedness, essentially acquitting the wicked and actually find pleasure in it and are learning to hate those who adhere to God’s word. They can fool those who do not know their bibles well. But those who do their actions will show those how remain righteous who the person really is. Sadly they will try to help them , and it will cause them to lash out at them and be resentful and hateful towards them. These one may appear to have a form of Godly devotion but because of their repressed sin they will fear God’s great day of judgment.

On a science level repressing and suppressing memories of guilt makes the frontal cortex shrink, and it continues to shrink until eventually starts causing lose of cognitive function, brain fog, dementia, loss of motor skills causing clumsiness, loss of self identity. When they try to think who They are they do not know. They will lose the ability to switch between thoughts or ideas, causing them to become easily confused. They will lose the ability to understand another persons point of view. they will lose the ability to control emotions so anger, frustration, excitement will become exaggerated.

The bible validates the science. (Daniel 4:31, 32) 31 While the word was yet in the king’s mouth, a voice came down from the heavens: “To you it is being said, O King Neb·u·chad·nezʹzar, ‘The kingdom has gone away from you, 32 and from mankind you are being driven away. With the beasts of the field your dwelling will be, and you will be given vegetation to eat just like bulls, and seven times will pass over you, until you know that the Most High is Ruler in the kingdom of mankind and that he grants it to whomever he wants.. . .

(Deuteronomy 28:32-34) 32 Your sons and your daughters will be given to another people while you look on, and you will always long for them, but your hands will be powerless. 33 The fruitage of your ground and all that you produce will be eaten by a people whom you have not known, and you will always be defrauded and crushed. 34 You will be driven mad by what your eyes see.

They lose the ability to even recognize when they are sinning.(Proverbs 5:3-6)  3 For the lips of a wayward woman drip like a honeycomb, And her mouth is smoother than oil.  4 But in the end she is as bitter as wormwood And as sharp as a two-edged sword.  5 Her feet descend into death. Her steps lead straight to the Grave.  6 She gives no thought to the path of life. Her course wanders, but she does not know where.

Their health will decline mentally and physically. But if they repent they can heal. (James 5:14, 15) 14 Is there anyone sick among you? Let him call the elders of the congregation to him, and let them pray over him, applying oil to him in the name of Jehovah. 15 And the prayer of faith will make the sick one well, and Jehovah will raise him up. Also, if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. , (Proverbs 3:7, 8)  7 Do not become wise in your own eyes. Fear Jehovah and turn away from bad.  8 It will be a healing to your body And refreshment for your bones. , (Psalm 38:5-8)  5 My wounds stink and fester Because of my foolishness.  6 I am distressed and extremely downcast; I walk around sad all day long.  7 There is a burning within me; My whole body is sick.  8 I have grown numb and become completely crushed; My anguished heart makes me groan aloud.

(James 2:10, 11) 10 For if anyone obeys all the Law but makes a false step in one point, he has become an offender against all of it. 11 For the one who said, “You must not commit adultery,” also said, “You must not murder.” If, now, you do not commit adultery but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of law.

(2 Corinthians 7:9, 10) 9 now I rejoice, not because you were just saddened, but because you were saddened into repenting. For you were saddened in a godly way, so that you suffered no harm because of us. 10 For sadness in a godly way produces repentance leading to salvation, leaving no regret; but the sadness of the world produces death.

(2 Samuel 12:5, 6) 5 At this David grew very angry against the man, and he said to Nathan: “As surely as Jehovah is living, the man who did this deserves to die! 6 And he should pay for the lamb four times over, because he did this and showed no compassion.”

(2 Samuel 12:7) 7 Then Nathan said to David: “You are the man! This is what Jehovah the God of Israel says: ‘I myself anointed you as king over Israel, and I rescued you from the hand of Saul.

(2 Samuel 12:11, 12) . . .This is what Jehovah says: ‘Here I am bringing against you calamity from within your own house; and before your own eyes, I will take your wives and give them to another man, and he will lie down with your wives in broad daylight. 12 Although you acted in secret, I will do this in front of all Israel and in broad daylight.’”

(Proverbs 22:8) Whoever sows unrighteousness will reap disaster, And the rod of his fury will come to its end.

(Romans 8:13) for if you live according to the flesh, you are sure to die; but if you put the practices of the body to death by the spirit, you will live.

(Romans 2:13-16) . . .. 14 For when people of the nations, who do not have law, do by nature the things of the law, these people, although not having law, are a law to themselves. 15 They are the very ones who demonstrate the matter of the law to be written in their hearts, while their conscience is bearing witness with them, and by their own thoughts they are being accused or even excused. 16 This will take place in the day when God through Christ Jesus judges the secret things of mankind, according to the good news I declare.

(Genesis 4:3-7) . . .. 4 But Abel brought some firstlings of his flock, including their fat. While Jehovah looked with favor on Abel and on his offering, 5 he did not look with any favor on Cain and on his offering. So Cain grew hot with anger and was dejected. 6 Then Jehovah said to Cain: “Why are you so angry and dejected? 7 If you turn to doing good, will you not be restored to favor? But if you do not turn to doing good, sin is crouching at the door, and its craving is to dominate you; but will you get the mastery over it?”

(Genesis 4:8) 8 After that Cain said to his brother Abel: “Let us go over into the field.” So while they were in the field, Cain assaulted his brother Abel and killed him.

(2 Samuel 13:11-18) . . .” 12 But she said to him: “No, my brother! Do not humiliate me, for such a thing is not done in Israel. Do not do this disgraceful thing. 13 How could I live down my shame? And you will be regarded as one of the disgraceful men in Israel. Now speak, please, to the king, for he will not withhold me from you.” 14 But he refused to listen to her, and he overpowered her and humiliated her by raping her. 15 Then Amʹnon began hating her with a very intense hatred, so that his hatred for her became greater than the love he had felt for her. Amʹnon said to her: “Get up; go away!” 16 At this she said to him: “No, my brother, for sending me away now is worse than what you have done with me!” But he refused to listen to her. 17 With that he called his young attendant and said: “Get this person out of my presence, please, and lock the door behind her.” 18 (Now she was wearing a special robe, for those were the garments that the virgin daughters of the king wore.) So his attendant led her outside, and he locked the door behind her.

(Psalm 32:1-3) 32 Happy is the one whose transgression is pardoned, whose sin is covered.  2 Happy is the man whom Jehovah does not charge with guilt, In whose spirit there is no deceit.  3 When I kept silent, my bones wasted away because of my groaning all day long.

(Proverbs 17:15) 15 Anyone who acquits the wicked one and anyone who condemns the righteous one —Both of them are detestable to Jehovah.

(Proverbs 17:15) 15 Anyone who acquits the wicked one and anyone who condemns the righteous one —Both of them are detestable to Jehovah.

(John 8:44-47) 44 You are from your father the Devil, and you wish to do the desires of your father. That one was a murderer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of the lie. 45 Because I, on the other hand, tell you the truth, you do not believe me. 46 Who of you convicts me of sin? If I speak truth, why is it that you do not believe me? 47 The one who is from God listens to the sayings of God. This is why you do not listen, because you are not from God.”

(1 John 1:8-10) 8 If we make the statement, “We have no sin,” we are misleading ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous so as to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we make the statement, “We have not sinned,” we are making him a liar, and his word is not in us.

(Proverbs 28:13, 14) 13 The one covering over his transgressions will not succeed, But whoever confesses and abandons them will be shown mercy. 14 Happy is the man who is always on guard, But whoever hardens his heart will fall into calamity.

(2 Samuel 12:13) 13 David then said to Nathan: “I have sinned against Jehovah.” Nathan replied to David: “Jehovah, in turn, forgives your sin. You will not die.

(Hebrews 10:26, 27) 26 For if we practice sin willfully after having received the accurate knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins left, 27 but there is a certain fearful expectation of judgment and a burning indignation that is going to consume those in opposition. . .

Lyme Brain.

Written by Lee Stevenson.

The brain can heal but it takes someone very experienced to heal the brain from Lyme. Something not mentioned lyme can cause thrombosis that inhibits blood flow throughout the body. Covid and the covid vaccine can also cause many of these things to occur. The issues in the brain caused by Lyme is referred to as neuroborreliosis. Gut dysbiosis, mold exposure, many other infections especially herpes, and toxin exposure can cause much of this to occur but Lyme seems to really hit the brain. Many vaccine can cause this to occur.

Infection causes many of these things to occur. It can also occur in gut dysbiosis , tick born illness especially Lyme disease causes the most severe symptoms. I am going to discuss how the brain is effected by Lyme disease but keep in mind other infections and the things I mentioned can also cause these things to occur. Vaccine injury resembles the symptoms of tick born illness, especially injury by the Covid vaccines. Many who are vaccine injured often times get misdiagnosed with tick born illness. Vaccine injury makes a person more prone to getting tick born illness.

Somnolence which is excess sleepiness. This is caused by the brain swelling and many other injuries to the brain. A person will feel excessively sleepy no matter how much they sleep.

Insomnia difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep. Those who have had lyme call this wired but tired.

Emotional lability short emotional outburst, sudden episodes of laughing or crying. Over response to things emotionally. This can be caused by the brain inflammation or brain ischemia. Lyme causes both. Lyme can cause extreme episodes of depression.

Lyme causes impaired memory and concentration this is from the inflammation, damage to the brain and sometimes the ischemia.

Dementia impairments in memory , thinking, emotional problems, issues with language processing. Psychological symptoms can include depression, psychotic hallucinations and delusions, apathy, and anxiety. The most commonly affected areas include memory, visuospatial function affecting perception and orientation, language, attention and problem solving.

Lyme causes brain lesions which damages many areas of the brain.

Lymphocytic meningitis severe headache, possible fever, photophobia(light intolerance or light sensitivity) and meningism (swollen meningism usually causes neck stiffness, when severe it can cause severe swelling at back of the neck). Stiffness in knees, change in appetite, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, seizures, loss of consciousness, non-blanching rash (skin lesions that do not fade when glass is pressed to the.)

Cranial neuritis blurred vision, Bell’s palsy, tingling and numbness in various areas, skin sensitive to touch. Week or paralyzed muscles, visual changes like blurred or double vision, issues with hearing.

Radiculopathy pinching of nerve in spinal cord. This can effect a variety of areas , it causes weakness or numbness in limbs, can cause pain and tingling. There will be pain in the area the spinal cord is pinched. Pain in and around the chest while breathing.

Hemorrages in the brain. Bleeding in the brain.

Myelitis inflammation in nerves that causes pain, tingling in extremities, loss of strength in extremities, loss of feeling, pain in area myelitis has occurred. Could cause problems with bowel or bladder control. And can develop a fever.

Vasculitis which can result in stroke. This is inflammation in the blood vessels which results in inhibited blood flow. This can cause headaches, fatigue, weight loss, aches and pains throughout the body. Can cause pain after eating and cause stomach ulcers. Can cause numbness in hands or feet, you can develop shortness of breath and even cough up blood, and bleeding under the skin which can cause skin lesions.

Brain atrophy the brain pretty much starts dying.

Brain calcification calcium deposits in blood vessels in the brain which severely effects how it functions. This can cause movement disorders, mental dysfunction, muscle rigidity and muscle trembling. It can cause uncontrolled movement of the limbs, difficulty swallowing, decline in intellectual function, impaired speech, headaches, severe dizziness, seizures and either the inability to urinate or excessive urination.

I do not make money from this blog. By the time I recovered from the Lyme and the damage from  the fluoroquinolones I was too old for anyone to even look at my application, so I have not been able to find work. I suspect I do not get phone calls because of my age. I am 58 years old and they probably view hiring me as a liability. So I have no source of income. I do have a link where a person can donate to help me out. As long as I am not working I am going to try and post things I believe will help people. I post this information for free so don’t feel obligated to donate. I would prefer if it came from the heart and not because of a feeling of obligation. We all need to learn to protect our temporal junction.

Written by Lee Stevenson, sorry I have not edited this but I will try to make corrections later. It took me many days and hours to research this. When it comes to the human brain and how it functions it can be very difficult to determine which research is valid and which is not. So it can be very mentally taxing to learn about it. I will say this study has taught me a lot about others and myself and how we can all make better decisions. Keep in mind this is not medical advice I am writing this for educational purposes . If you are not well seek the aid of a qualified professional with proven experience and success. Learning these things can better help use make wiser decisions and even better understand if we were seeking therapy because we could better understand if the person we chose is going to help us heal or is going to only try and tell us what we want to hear to avoid hurting our feelings or causing conflict which will not help a person to heal.

I am going to discuss the temporal junction and how all of us are effected by it’s dysfunction at one time in our life. This can cause a dramatic change in our behavior and thinking. This can lead to decisions that can dramatically effect our lives and others negatively and it can last a life time. Hypoactivity of the temporal junction can be caused by our own thinking or by external stimulus and people. When we have hypoactivation we tend to be easier to manipulate, we have an exaggerated view of our abilities and importance , we can become manipulative and deceptive. We become goal driven so will pretty much cross many moral boundaries and dangers and ignore the consequences. The end results can cause TJ fatiuge which causes a total loss of self identity and total loss of being able to identify when something is immoral or in appropriate.

By being aware of how the TJ is effected we can learn to be aware of when it has been effected and make better decisions and learn to avoid it’s dysfunction as much as possible. When the temporal junction is dysfunctional a person will be more inclined to make decision for themselves and not want any outside input or ideas. They will prefer to work alone. They lose the ability to cooperate with others and will usually not cooperate. They start to believe only they and their knowledge can solve their problems or help them achieve their goals. Notice these things are involved in narcissistic behavior. So you can see how a very kind, humble and caring person can suddenly become narcissistic.

There are ways to avoid this and improve it’s function. Most experience dysfunction of the temporal junction many times in their lives. Chronic illness can also cause this to occur. The temporal junction is how we feel about emotions, it communicates with all other areas that help us identify who we are and makes us aware of ourselves , of what makes us happy and what does not. What we like and what we do not. It makes us aware of who we are as a person and helps us to set goals based on that knowledge. So hyperactivation of temporal junction or losing function of it through TJ fatigue can cause us to lose our identity. Temporal junction dysfunction can effect many of our senses including our hearing, eye sight , smell and taste. It is involved in joy we feel when we eat a meal or smell a flower. So loss of it’s function can take a lot of joy from our lives.

I have not had a chance to research how it effects things on a physical level except that it’s hyperactivation causes us to over respond to environmental stimulus such as sound and visual information and temporal junction fatigue can make our eyes more sensitive to light cause blurred vision, cause loss of hearing and ringing or buzzing in the ears. Many who have Lyme experience this. By being aware of temporal junction hyperactivation and temporal junction fatigue it can make us aware we are prone to making bad decisions and we can do our best to take steps to prevent it , if we are aware of the mental state we are in. We can be aware of when it is being hyperactivated and takes step to prevent it so we do not eventually suffer from TJ fatigue which really can destroy our lives from the behavior changes that occur. When the TJ is hyperactivated we tend to make uninhibited decisions which can cause us to cross moral boundries we should not. When it has become fatigued we lose all sense of morality. So it is very important we protect TJ function as much as possible and when not possible it is important to recognize we are in a position of vulnerability to make a bad decision and avoid situations that my cause us to.

A sign the FJ is hyperactivated is obsessive and compulsive thoughts. We will over think everything. Another sign the FJ is hyperactivated we start becoming more controlling and manipulative towards others. Other symptoms are we become restless and have difficulty sleeping , relaxing , we become hyper, we become wired but tired. We may be sleepy but we cannot stop our thinking so we can sleep. We lose our ability to be empathetic and sympathetic. We all have experienced this at one time or another and have acted on it. By learning to be aware of it we can make better decisions when it occurs. When the TJ becomes hyperactivated we become too driven to accomplish something and become to motivated causing a person to make many bad decisions and even immoral ones. When the TJ becomes hyperactivated or becomes fatigued, we lose self identity, and all moral values, we lose empathy, and sympathy for others. It even effects how we feel about ourselves. So it robs us of the ability to feel happy, content and satisfied. We start making decisions with no consideration of how it effects others and we lose the sense of how our decision effect others.

Other symptoms of dysfunctional TJ is we will avoid social interaction unless it would benefit ourselves. We also stop listening to the suggestions and ideas of others unless it supports what we want to believe. We no longer like working with others and prefer to work by ourselves or do a task by ourselves. Another symptom of TJ hyperactivation is we start overthinking what peoples facial expressions, body language and the things they say and we start looking for hidden motives and intentions. I have noticed myself, included if I have guilt I have not dealt with then I will start to do this. Guilt can really cause the TJ to become hyperactivated. So it is best to avoid guilt as much as possible. We all have experienced psychotic episodes. This is caused by temporal hyperactivation. Psychotics seem to get stuck in a state of TJ hyperactivation. One good thing about TJ hyperactivation or fatigue we can retrain the mind and correct it’s dysfunction and because the TJ is connected to many other parts of the brain it can also help correct other mental issues we may be having. But the insula is connected to many areas of the brain and requires therapy in order to heal it and correct it’s function. Hyperactivation of the TJ also causes borderline personality disorder. We all experience this at one time or another so it is inappropriate to go around labeling people as psychotic or as having a borderline personality disorder. It is when the symptoms persist for extended periods of time that it may indicate damage to those areas of the brain. Hyperactivation of the TJ and TJ fatigue dramatically effects our physical health and mental health. Usually when there is hyperactivation of the TJ it causes hyperactivation of the HPA, once the TJ is fatigued usually the HPA has become fatigued. This causes a total loss of motivation and desire to live. Hyperactivation and TJ fatigue causes us to lose our ability to inhibit things and to prevent us doing immoral things. If our TJ is over activated we become more prone to angry outburst, acting on sexual urges inappropriately, doing acts of violence, and many other immoral or inappropriate things.

One way that the temporal junction can become hyperactivated is if we start comparing ourselves to others. It can give us a false sense of pride and importance. For example if we view ourselves as better looking then others, or we view others as having lower morals or are not as good at decision making , or we may perceive they have a rougher life then you because they are not as wise. This can result in hyperactivation of the TJ. Studies have shown those who are over confident or overly proud are easier to manipulate and easier to deceive and make many more errors in their decision making . They have shown those who lack confidence make fewer errors. Those who become over confident start putting more confidence in themselves then in things they may have learned that guide them morally. They are more vulnerable to manipulations by others when they are in this heightened state of TJ activity. Because they already have a heightened sense of value and importance, someone starts to woo them and complement them they can easily get them to do their will. Whether it be selling them something, taking advantage of them sexually or in whatever other way a person will take advantage of others. This can destroy their relationships with others. It can also dramatically effect their lives because they are more prone to making bad decisions and it could effect them for the rest of their lives. By being aware of when we are getting too prideful or having a heightened view of our own self worth we could learn to avoid this type of thinking and learn to be balanced on our view of ourselves. If we have a heightened view of ourselves we start looking down on others and viewing their flaws while becoming blind to our own. This to can be taken advantage of by others. We should never compare ourselves to others. This causes us to devalue others and not see their worth. That will destroy our relationships with others. And effect how we interact with others. They may see us as being confident at first but once they get to know someone who has a heightened sense of pride and self worth they will start distancing themselves from them because they make bad decisions that either hurt them, cause them stress or are morally wrong which can smear their reputation just from association. They can push family away because they view themselves as being wiser and more capable then others. This can eventually lead to TJ fatigue which really really causes the person to go down the wrong roads. Now I will discuss what the temporal junction does then I will discuss other things that can cause the TJ to become hypoactivated. Then I will discuss how we can protect ourselves from these things occurring.

The temporal junction is what gives us our awareness of self. It gives us awareness of who we are and where we fit in , in the world. When the temporal junction is not functioning properly we cannot use our knowledge of who we are and we can develop psychopathy. The temporal junction communicates with the insula which helps us interact with others and be more aware of how they feel and how our actions effect others emotionally. It is involved in the feeling of pride, empathy, sympathy, our perspective on things, guilt, shame, embarrassment, gratitude, social cognition (being able to pick up cues from our social interactions to respond appropriately), perceiving others intentions such as whether they are being deceptive or not, making moral judgments based on our beliefs, moral values and our autobiography memories. (memories that shaped who we are). Temporal junction fatigue can cause anxiety, loss of the ability to access autobiographical information , loss of the ability to produce short term memories. In other words TJ fatigue can make us lose our self identity and awareness of where we fit into the world.

Loss of function can dramatically effect our thinking and decision making causing us making some very bad decisions. It regulates our feeling of fear or of a threat. TJ also regulates our desire to explore and learn. It is also involved in motivation. Deceptive people get the TJ to hyperactivate to motivate us to do or respond how they would like us to. TJ is also involved in our ability to perceive time such as when something happened or when we need to do certain things. So the TJ is involved in self consciousness and how we feel emotions. It is also involved in our ability to read faces and body language. The TJ is where we feel love, joy, happiness, desires, sense of justice, sense of loss, of being offended, hatred, goal setting, feeling of satisfaction, mercy and it guides our ability to forgive others. The TJ regulates our ability to determine which beliefs are false and which are true, it helps us determine what is deceptive behavior, what is a lie and what is not.

now it is important to discuss some things that can cause it’s dysfunction and things we can do to help prevent it. The temporal junction also helps us to control compulsive behavior such as lust, anger, or violent reactions. It’s dysfunction can cause us to become aggressive and even become violent. I am also going to discuss how to heal the TJ when we have been put in situations that could not be avoided that cause it’s dysfunction. TJ is also involved in our perspective taking. The TJ helps us to determine what things are highest in priority and which ones are not. It also is involved in setting goals. The importance of protecting the TJ is it helps us identify who we are and who we want to be. Sadly those who experienced trauma especially childhood trauma or have PTSD will have damage insula which is needed to understand our emotions and be aware of others so they will need to repair the insula also in order to fully understand who we are and who we want to be. It is involved in all things we feel even disgust, surprise, it is even involved in how we feel pain emotionally or physically and how we perceive others pain emotionally or physically.

With hyperactivation our emotions feelings and how we perceive them become exaggerated. For example a lot of times when people are trying to deceive you they will be excessively kind, constantly complement you and constantly point out your value. This can cause the TJ to become hyperactivated causing overconfidence, and get you to believe you have more value , and others as having less value, and it makes it easier to deceive you into doing their will, or get you to make a bad decision. Con men will use the TJ hyperactivation by either causing a lot of commotion to get a person over stimulated causing TJ hyperactivation , or they will try to make a person feel like they will be missing out and they need to make a decision quickly. Another way people will take advantage of TJ hyperactivation they will try to force people into making a decision and giving them very little time to do so. This causes the persons TJ to become hyperactivated. At a very young age I got tired of people getting me to make bad decisions by saying I had to make the decision now and not giving me time to fully understand how the decision effected me or others, that I started telling them then I will not decide and I will have no part of what you are asking me to do. If I do not fully understand what I am getting into then I will just walk away from the decision no matter how critical it may seen. Most of the time I have found the people pressuring me, changed their mind and sometimes even realize they were making a mistake and were being selfish and would apologize after I told them, I would not decide and wanted no part of it. Sometimes they stopped being my friend completely and it turned out they were up to no good and I would have been involved in it, or it was revealed they had selfish motives. But they did not give me all the details so their motives seemed honorable. So be very careful if someone is pressuring you to make a decision by constantly asking or by trying to make you decide quickly.

Peer pressure works the same way. The TJ is involved in hyper activation but peers may pressure someone to do something dangerous or immoral. They will keep the pressure on which cause the TJ to become hyperactivated until the person give in and performs the dangerous or immoral act. The trauma caused by either experience can cause emotional things can lead to TJ fatigue to occurring which dramatically changes our thinking in a negative way and our ability to make moral decisions. This is taking advantage of the motivational part of our TJ.

Excess visual stimulation, audio , emotional stimulation especially negative emotions, stress or trauma can cause hyperactivation of the TJ. Loud and constant notice has been found to be one of the most severe causes of hyperactivation of the TJ. Constant pressure to make decisions or being ask to make a sudden decision and not being given a reasonable amount of information or time can cause TJ hyperactivation. When this occurs we become disassociated with our identity of self , of what makes us who we are and of our moral values and the things that make us unique. When this occurs we no longer have the feelings that guide us in making the right decisions. This is when we have to let our knowing mentally what is right and wrong guide us and not doubt them for example we know that having immoral sexual relations is wrong. When there is hyperactivation of the TJ it can cause us to cross the line and have immoral relations. If it involve being deceptive and possibly conning someone to make money we could easily be tricked into participating. This could result in the destruction of our lives and others, and of pushing people away from us including family. Sometimes the damage we caused is so severe it effects many lives for the rest of their lives. So if we have hyperactivation of the TJ we need to be aware and when the occurs we need to not let feelings guide us but let what we know is right and wrong guide us so we do not make such errors.

Spreading ourselves thin by making too many promises , by trying to accomplish too much, trying to help too many people, or by having too much stress or trauma in our lives can cause hyperactiavtion. It is best to have a few good friends and get to know them well then to have many friends and not have the time to know them well and to spread ourselves too thin. I have learned the hard way to not make promises but to tell the people if I am able to do something I will let you know but I cannot make any promises. Often times things come up that are beyond our control and we cannot help them we feel remorse and guilt which can cause overactivation of the TJ. Or we may make too many promises and get ourselves spread so thin that our brains become overwhelmed and this can induce hyperactivation of the TJ.

Even our good qualities can cause hyperactivation of the temporal junction. I am just now learning to balance my empathy and sympathy for others. I see others suffering , and in bad situations. My TJ becomes hyperactivated causing me to get grouchy, get mean , and to make it difficult to prioritize things and organize my thoughts. I will also respond inappropriately to a situation. This is of no benefit to anyone because it only slows me down and makes it more difficult to make good decisions. So even our good qualities can cause us to have hyperactivation of the TJ and cause us to become overconfident , devalue others , and make bad decisions because when it is hyperativated all our our emotion become hyperactivated even our sense of pride and self worth. We need to learn to give ourselves much more time so when something unforeseen occurs we can deal with it much more easily. If we keep making plans for our days to be filled every day and leave no time for other things then when something unforeseen does happen it makes us less able to deal with it in a balanced and wise way because our TJ will be in a constant state of hyperactivation which can eventually lead to TJ fatigue.

Loss of function in the temporal junction causes a loss of our self identity and who we are, a loss of fear, hypersexuality in some it can actually cause hyposexuality, loss of interest in being social, loss in the ability to pick up and respond to social cues appropriately, can cause neglect for family, loss of morality, risk taking especially sexually, loss of morality will cross moral boundaries, increased rude behavior, will constantly try to take over and control conversations, our ability to take our perspective and compare it to others also becomes inhibited with TJ dysfunction. When this occurs our perspective can become bias because we will only look at things from our perspective. When the TJ is disfunctional we are less able to respond emotionally our emotions become blunted, emotions with increased expression are anger, frustration, depression, anxiety, will start developing many new interest by not fully following through with them, loss of TJ is involved in remembering our interactions with others. Los of function means we will remember their names and faces but we will not remember our interactions with them this includes family. So we can experience a loss of memories of how certain ones made us feel and how we interacted with them socially. Because TJ is involved in how we feel about emotions and connects to areas of the brain that help us determine what we think, TJ disruption can cause us to react inappropriately to the emotions of others. Usually when someone with TJ dysfunction is faced with a situation that requires empathy or sympathy they will react with anger or resentment towards the person. When the TJ is dysfunctional we lose our ability to see a threat or to feel fear. Loss of TJ makes us lose our ability to determine if our actions are moral and if they are not. TJ also helps us determine what is true or what is not.

Those who dwell to much on peer pressure are more prone to give into it and make bad decisions because it negatively effects the TJ. When the TJ is dysfunctional we lose memories of our emotional and physical pain which causes us to be unaware of others emotional and physical pain. Associating with others who’s values are not what ours are , or who have less consideration of others can reshape our TJ making us more like them it is called behavior mimicry. This also causes us to lose our knowledge of who we are and what our goals are. It also helps us reshape our goals if our situation has changed and adapt emotionally and goal wise. So if we leave peer pressure or stress or other things that effect the TJ we lose the ability to adapt and adjust to changes. We start living in the now and for ourselves.

So you can see the importance of maintaining TJ health and restoring it’s health if we see the sign’s it is starting to be impaired. If we lose TJ function then we become unable to control compulsive behavior such as lust anger and violence and we can commit acts of violence, immoral sexual acts. When you lose control of TJ function it clearly effects you in a way that you could easily put yourself in vulnerable position making it easier for others to have power or control over you. It could even eventually lead to being imprisoned or effect others negatively resulting in them , hurting you in some way. We all can and many do experience this at one time in their life. From excess stress or trauma and sometimes both. This is when it is very important to let what we have learned about morality and what the right decision is guide us and not what we feel the right decision is.

Things that can cause it’s dysfunction is spreading ourselves to thin, sudden chronic stress being thrust upon us, trauma, excess environmental stimulation especially loud noise, lack of sleep, having to rapidly change focus excessively for example multitasking too much, or being in an environment were we have to make many decisions rapidly, being in a new environment where we have to learn too many new things which can overwhelm the temporal lobe. For example sometimes starting a new job requires learning so many new things it can activate and eventually overwhelm the temporal lobe. This can eventually lead to temporal junction fatigue. I will discuss below things that help prevent and overcome temporal junction fatigue.

Frontal cortex is involved in cooperating with others. Those who have experienced trauma, chronic stress or childhood abuse can experience a dysfunction in the signaling between the temporal junction and frontal cortex. This can cause them to be non cooperative with others and to believe only they can solve their problems and be non receptive to suggestions or ideas from others. For those ones they need to heal the frontal cortex and work on improving temporal junction health. This requires help from a therapist who has experience at correcting those issues. It communicates with the Temporal Junction which is involved in being aware of stimulation in our environment, including communicating with others, reading their faces and body language. This gives our minds the ability to prioritize and focus on certain stimulus. It is also involved in our ability to empathize with others. It is involved in setting goals , and motivation to fulfill those goals to direct our attention to those goals based on the priority of the goals.

TJ over activation can cause manic, bipolar and narcissistic behavior. This occurs in most people at one time or another in their life. Certain learned behavior can effect it’s function in a negative way and it has been shown that behavior can be unlearned. In some forms of autism this ability is inhibited. It is over activated in manic behavior. When it is over activated a person will become extremely focused on one goal while neglecting other responsibilities that do not involve achieving their chosen goal. This is why those who are manic or bipolar often times will become focused on one goal and forget responsibilities such as paying the bills or they may neglect family and family responsibilities. The goal can be something as simple as cleaning and organizing a room.

TJ hyperactivation can someone to become overconfident in their skills and abilities. This is caused by hyperactivation of the TJ. For example if someone is stressed or spread themselves too thin it can effect their temporal junction. This impairs their ability to think clearly and they may have grandiose thoughts. For example if they owned a business and they have been stressed or experienced trauma at the time. This could cause them to take on more clients then they can handle having no regard whether they have the ability to handle them. This causes a loss of the inhibitory mechanisms in the brain. This can cause them to make many bad decisions. This can include not just their business decisions but even decisions in life, for example they could start making decisions that negatively effect their family , and studies have shown it even increases the risk of a person getting involved in immoral sexual relations. This shows the importance of making decisions that will not add more stress on ourselves. This also shows the importance of not putting ourselves in positions to make sudden decisions when possible because the stress can effect the temporal junction causing us to make the wrong decision. This can cause temporal junction burn out from the stress of having to deal with the consequences which can be very long term.

The symptoms involved with temporal junction burnout are inability to perform and complete regular task, becoming very irritable, loss of empathy and compassion for others. Aggressive and even violent behavior, less sensitive to important social cues, becoming easily distracted, forgetfulness, extremely cranky, low tolerance for increased stress, dominating conversations, acting needy or desperate, asking inappropriate questions or saying inappropriate things, low self esteem and confidence, which is effected by others. A person with temporal junction burn out will lose their self identity and base their self esteem on cues from their interactions with others and how they perceive the views them.

Because their thinking is impaired they can perceive things incorrectly and make bad choices. When this occurs it is more difficult for someone to know when they are being manipulated or deceived. They tend to over think their social interactions. This also causes them to say things in a way it does not come across as intended and what they meant to say is not what they say. They will experience feelings of restlessness, loss of the ability of ones own cognitive processes and and understand how to regulate them and use them. In other words they lose the ability to determine what thoughts are important and which ones are not and deciding which thought to give more priority to. This also causes them to lose understanding of their own abilities. Notice all things involved in self identity.

Those with temporal junction fatigue are less prone to think things through and act out on impulse, which can result in bad relationship decisions, bad financial decisions, they may get involved in risky behavior, loss of self discipline, short tempers, feeling of unpleasantness (unable to relax). Temporal burn out occurs when someone is in a constant state of TJ hyperactivation, what adds to this is they may make bad decisions with many consequences that cause even more TJ activity causing the burn out of the TJ to happen much more rapidly. So it is best not to complicate our lives and not to have so many friends we rarely have time for ourselves or to be so helpful with others we barely have time to address our own responsibilities. This also leaves us time if something unforeseen happens. Imagine if we make a decision and our TJ is in a state of hyperactivation because the decision is important and hyperactivation of the TJ can help us become more focus on solving the problem when it is very important. Then something unexpected happens requiring more of our mental focus. This causes an increase in TJ activation making us more prone to making bad and wrong decisions because we start to lose our inhibition and moral guidance. I am guilty of causing this on myself but am now taking steps to prevent this from occurring as much as possible.

To prevent TJ hyperactiavtion we need to learn to not spread ourselves too thin. Not to make make promises unless we know we will have the time and they will not add more burden to us when we may already be burdened. We need to make sure we leave enough time in each day to deal with unforeseen things that may happen. We need to try and keep our lives as simple as we can. The more things we own the more things we have to take care of spreading ourselves thinner. Learning to be happy with the simple things in life can help us prevent complicating our lives more which would increase TJ activity. Learning not to compare our lives and happiness to others but keeping in touch with who we are and what makes us happy can help protect our thinking. Be aware when the TJ is hyperactive or fatigued we have the tendency to lose our identity and start mimicking others in an attempt to establish our identity which will farther push us away from knowing who we are and what makes us happy. It can cause us to lose our identity and we will constantly seek it by seeing things we my like in others and start emulating it. We lose contact with our autobiography memories when the TJ is hyperactivated or fatigued. Those are the memories that shaped who we are , what makes us unique, what brings us joy and makes us happy. It also shapes our self perception of our self worth. Ever see those people who try to excessively please others , who try to be excessively nice, who are much more sensitive to criticism, who will do inappropriate things or cross moral boundaries to please others. These are ones who are in a state of TJ hyperactivation or TJ fatigue. They lost their self identity so are trying to get others approval in an attempt to establish their identity.

If we no longer can recognize those things then we also become disassociated form our religious values, moral values, and ethical beliefs and can easily be influenced by others and many other things that made us who we are and we can easily be deceived. In doing so we may even attack those reaching out wanting to help us. I have found myself guilty of this at times. I am working very hard to make sure I am aware when this is happening and respond appropriately. Because we are more prone to lying when the TJ is hyperactivated or fatigue we can cause others to lose their trust in us. And rightfully so you would have proven you cannot be trusted because often times when in a state of hyperactivation of the TJ or TJ fatigue a person will not remember some of the immoral or inappropriate things they have done. So they will believe they have done no wrong. But the truth always gets revealed in one way or another. Just recently I was in a state of TJ hyperactivation. I stated an untruth and did not realize it. A friend pointed it out to me and I did not believe them because I work very hard to be truthful and not be deceptive. Once I calmed down I remembered I did lie. It was not deliberate, I thought I was saying the right thing at the time. The best thing to do when this occurs is to admit your error, take corrective actions, apologize to anyone harmed and work hard to try and not let your TJ get dysregulated. If we do not then we start to become immune to crossing moral boundaries. We also earn a reputation of not being able to be trusted or of being an immoral person. Also we need to learn if we made errors and do not take corrective action it will keep our TJ in a state of hyperactivation making us more prone to bad decisions moral and goal wise.

To help prevent TJ dysfunction learning to meditate on positive things, learn mindful meditation, learn to meditate on which things have priority and by achieving them will have the most positive and long term effects on your life. Studies have shown those who meditate on the past memories that brought a person joy not only improves temporal junction health but health of the brain overall. Studies have shown just looking at pictures of nature improves temporal junction health.

Learn to identify and eliminate unnecessary stress such as gossip, getting involved in the affairs of others and their disputes if they do not concern you, avoid watching the news excessively it has been shown to have a negative impact on the function of the temporal junction, be cautious of taking on more responsibilities if we are already stressed or spread thin. Even if we appear to have the time or mental resources we also have to keep in mind time and unforeseen circumstance befall us all and by not spreading ourselves too thin we can be prepared if something does occur. Meditating on prioritizing decisions, deciding which goals or decisions will have the best long term positive effects on our lives improves our ability to prioritize and learn which goals or task should have the most priority. Studies have shown with practice this improves our ability to make quicker decisions with less errors. Meditate on our goals and which ones will have the most and long term positive effects on our lives and which task and goals deserve the most attention. If we have a difficult time meditating on such things we could write them down, think about the task and goals and number them from one on up in order of priority with number one being the top in priority.

We need to learn to adapt our thinking and be more flexible in our thinking. Things can change very quickly in our lives. If we struggle to restore them or refuse to let them go then we run on a figurative hamster wheel keeping us in a state of hyperactivation of the TJ. We need to learn things can change rapidly in our lives and often times we can do nothing about it. We need to learn to remain calm as possible when this happens, learn technique to control stress when we cannot avoid it. We need to learn to keep focused on the present and what we can do about our circumstances now and not dwell on the past that cannot be changed and often times would never fully be gotten back. I have done things in my youth that deeply hurt others I took corrective actions and repented but the scars left hurt them enough that even though they forgave me the relationship or friendship was never the same. I had to learn that my actions had put a wall between us and that I would have to move on and make new friends and be much more considerate of others and how my decisions effect others. Though it was not intentional I had made the decision at a time my TJ was hyperactivated. I didn’t know why I made a decision that was obviously stupid at the time but since studying how those things occur it has made me more aware of when I am more prone to making bad decision and not respond inappropriately when someone else is in a state of TJ hyperactivation or TJ fatigue. Our response when someone is experiencing this can make their situation worse or help them. We have to be very careful with them when they are in those states though they can be very deceptive and manipulative. If they cannot manipulate or deceive you they can become very angry at you and aggressive towards you, resent you and even get violent with you. So learn when it is best to leave such a situation.

Another thing that can cause TJ over activation is constantly dwelling on past mistakes . If we keep dwelling on them it can fatigue the TJ. Studies have found those who confess their mistakes are better able to learn from them and move forward. Those who will not admit their error start to suffer TJ dysfunction causing them to be unable to identify what is moral and what is not. It will even cause them to reshape their religious beliefs to support their behavior. Since our morals and religious beliefs are a part of who we are this can farther push them away from self identity. You ever see those people who mimic those they are around them and will try to please them excessively. They are trying to establish their identity because they have lost the perception of who they are, they have lost their identity so they are trying to establish it by imitating others. That only pushes them farther away from knowing who they are and what goals would make them happy. These ones become caught up in trying to show others their value, and importance. Their value in their minds become based on how others perceive them and on how they believe others perceive them. So if they perceive someone does not see their value or importance they may lose confidence, some react by striking out at those who do not appear to see their value or importance. So you can see why it is important to try and avoid things that cause us guilt. We are all imperfect and make mistakes. To protect our TJ if we error we need to admit the error, confess it and learn from it and take steps to prevent making the same errors. If we do not admit our error and take corrective action it can result in TJ dysfunction causing us to make many bad decisions that will carry more guilt then when it becomes dysfunctional we will lose the ability to know when we are making decisions that are not moral, thus losing our awareness of who we are. The guilt can involve minor mistakes we have made but the ones that have the most impact on our lives and our brain function is when we make decisions that compromise our morals. So protecting the TJ also protects our moral values. If we have done something that carries extreme guilt. We know eventually the truth will come out. So if we confess, and deal with the consequences we no longer have to dwell on it and we can move on. Ironically ever see those people who do immoral things and then do not remember doing them. The excess guilt causes TJ dysfunction inhibiting their ability to recall the immoral actions they had taken. I have not found studies to show if those memories come back or not once TJ function is restored but I would not doubt if they do. If that is the case they would most likely benefit from seeing a therapist to help them admit their error and also help to learn from them. Often times it involves more then one person having guilt. Some will push all the guilt onto others involved in the error. This can damage the TJ causing loss of function and they will become deceptive and manipulative. They also lose the ability to tell when they are being lied to or deceived. So if the guilt was shared it is best for a person to accept their part in it and confess it and take steps to move forward and to prevent making the same errors again to protect their TJ.

One of the toughest ones and something I had to learn to deal with is the sense of loss. Before I got ill I could by almost whatever I wanted. My property was paid off and I was starting to focus on improving it and also was saving money to buy a new truck and almost had enough saved up. Because of medicine only treating the symptoms of illness and not the cause I lost everything I had very quickly. I lost my job, my property, and all the money I had and become very deeply in debt. By the time I realize modern medicine only treats the symptoms and I turned to natural medicine and started healing I had already lost everything. I am now healed from natural methods. Modern medicine caused me to become broke in months, in order to make sure I had a home, I had to sign my house an property over to a family member so they would pay the taxes. So my life changed dramatically. But my TJ was protected because my Facebook friends got me to keep focused on what was important and that was healing. They got me to realize those things were not as valuable as my life. So they taught me not to dwell on the losses I suffered but to dwell on what I could do now in order to improve my life and what decisions I could make that would have a positive outcome on my life. Also an elder taught me to distinguish between what would make my life easier and what would make my life happier. It took a while for me to understand but after I did it made me remember a story this couple told me that made me realize fully what it meant. They fought a lot and it was clear they did not really love each other. I was about ten years old, and wondered why they married each other. Of course a ten year old does not know any better. So I ask them why they got married, they did not get offended but actually laughed. They said that it was out of convenience , they had agreed they did not love each other but he needed someone to help around the house and she needed someone to help her financially so they got married out of convenience. So their marriage was more based on an agreement (convenience). So decisions that make life convenient for us are not always the decisions that will bring us happiness.

As you can see if we do not protect the TJ then any of us could easily become a very bad person or make very bad decisions no matter how moral we are or how hard we try to stick to our religious values.

Makes you realize why Satan when he is attacking someone he unleashes an all out attack to overwhelm them. It would cause TJ dysfunction and if a person did not keep meditating on God’s word, or on good things it could damage the TJ getting them to break their moral values. When you are constantly attacked and being accused of things you would not do , or someone you care about continually wrongs you which are things Satan can drive people to do the TJ becomes hyperactivated and can eventually become fatigued. Often times we are in a position we cannot remove ourselves from it. When this occurs we need to keep in mind it is not our fault, they may not know any better, they may be stressed , they may be projecting their inner feelings or short comings onto you as a way to release them. Either way if we respond when this occurs our TJ is hyperactive and we will respond inappropriately. It is best to wait until we have calmed down and often times we realize the behavior was so crazy it isn’t even worth thinking about or even addressing.

What studies have shown is going in nature and even looking at nature has the most beneficial effect on the brain our mood and has been shown to be very healing to the brain. Day dreaming about things you like and the joy they bring improves overall brain function.

Studies have also found doing acts of charity and kindness improves overall brain function. Showing acts of empathy and sympathy have been shown to improve temporal TJ function. When we make decisions the brain can still identify the emotions but when the TJ is not functioning properly how we perceive those emotions becomes distorted and so does the way we react to them. Even little things like offering words of comfort to someone when they are dealing with hard times can improve TJ function.

Trauma and betrayal can dramatically effect the temporal junction. When this occurs we tend to over analyze things. This can cause us to lash out at the very ones who are trying to help and support us and guide us as we heal. I have found myself being guilty of that. This causes others to move away from you and to try and avoid you. It causes ones who have done this to push those away that would be a support for them and to hurt many people. When this occurs and someone finds they are unable to stop dwelling on and over thinking what may have happened it would be best if they got therapy. Many will seek therapist that tell them what they want to hear. It is best to find a therapist based on their success rate at helping people heal not one that will say what the patient wants to hear. In order to move on you have to accept

TJ also controls our sense of justice. If we feel someone was unjust to us or we feel an unjust act had occurred to someone else and it is something we can do nothing about we need to learn from it and dwell on how we can avoid putting ourselves in a situation for it to occur again. If we only dwell on the unjust act it can cause TJ fatigue and I discuss the horrible consequences of that. It could cause us to commit and act of violence or seek revenge on someone. A sense of justice is good to have but over thinking on it can skew our sense of justice and cause us to act out inappropriately on it.

Hatred damages the TJ . We are supposed to hate bad things. But if they occur to us we may have a difficult time letting go of the fact that it has happened and even forgiving the person or people. We have to keep in mind we all make mistakes. We all offend , hurt each other, and wrong each other. As we learn from our mistakes we learn to become better people. We have to think how good it feels when we have erred and repented and was forgiven. If the person does not repent, and continues their behavior it is best if we learn from it and dwell on how we can prevent putting ourselves in a situation for them to wrong us again when possible. If we cannot prevent them wronging us we have to learn not to dwell on it because it will damage our TJ and we could start making very bad decisions. The TJ helps us respond to things in a balanced and appropriate way.

Conflicts with others can also damage the TJ. Those who experienced trauma, chronic stress, or have PTSD will often times avoid conflict and try and find the neutral ground . Sometimes this involves them convincing themselves of things that are not true, or even tolerating things they should not in order to avoid conflict. The TJ helps us to balance that and know when the conflict is worth addressing and when it is worth avoiding and how to have a balanced reaction to conflict. It also helps us determine if the conflict would be resolved or if it would only make things worse. So it helps us determine if a conflict is worth having, when we should be neutral and when we should not be and how we can respond in an appropriate way. It is best to avoid conflict that does not concern us, avoid things such as gossip that can lead to excess conflict, avoid talking about things such as politics or things others can get offended by. We cannot avoid conflict but we can learn things that can help us avoid it and meditate on how we can respond if we do offend someone. Often times our believes may conflict with someone else. So they can become offended by ours. I have had this occur many times. Because I do not believe in getting vengeance many people have really gotten harsh with me because they have felt I should seek revenge towards someone. If I did that it could cause me to end up in a bad situation such as jail and makes me no better then the other person. So I have learned to respond to those who are offended by my beliefs or what I do. I love foraging in the wild for food. Many make fun of me and even belittle me for doing it. I have learned to feel sorry for them because they do not realize how wonderful the experience is and the variety of taste of the foods you can get from the wild and how much more nutrition it has. I no longer get offended or angry when they belittle or make fun of me. Developing strategies like this will help to protect the TJ.

I have a friend who taught me to look at things from a different perspective when I am wronged. They taught me to think they may not know any better and may need to learn. I have found that to be very true. They also taught me to let it go when the person is not going to change and I can do nothing about it. So when I am wronged my temporal junction recovers very quickly after the event has occurred. Another thing my friend taught me was to step back and try and see the whole picture. It help me learn a very valuable piece of information. Ever see those people who project their inner guilt or short comings onto others. Those ones have usually experienced trauma as a child , are experiencing chronic stress or PTSD so they to project their inner feeling, guilt or short comings onto others. Studies have shown reacting negatively and taking it personal and lashing out at the person only damages them more. Even though the things they say are not true about you but true about them, do not take it personal. Studies have shown when they do this to therapist and the therapist remains silent and does not react negatively it actually increases their chance of healing because it works as a release for them and they are better able to let go of negative emotions. So if someone is projecting onto us we need to step back and understand if it was because of trauma or stress , or if it was inappropriate projection. This way we can respond in the appropriate way. If we take it personal and respond immediately we usually will respond in an inappropriate way increasing the stress in what is already a stressful situation and damage their TJ and our own.

Unfortunately the friend I mentioned their temporal junction seems to have gotten damaged. They projected on me and I responded in an inappropriate way which made things even worse. They started treating me harsher and harsher until I eventually had to stop talking to them. Studying the temporal junction helped me a lot in understanding why they started treating me the way they did. I still get that warm feeling inside when you think of a friend , but I knew it was in my best interest to stop talking to them because their behavior towards me was becoming worse and worse and if I tolerated it I would only be reinforcing the behavior and they would have no reason or desire to change or and try to heal. Their harsh behavior towards me started to effect my TJ and I started responding inappropriately towards their actions towards me and saying things I should not have said. Unfortunately their insula is damaged also so they will not feel remorse or guilt for the things they said or did. Studies have shown that only therapist who know how to address insula damage can help them heal and the success rate is low because those with a damaged insula will seek out therapist that support their view of things. It is sad because this person was a wonderful person. When the insula is damaged a person becomes non receptive to outside information or suggestion form others. It is why the success rate for them healing is very very low. They will only respond to those who’s say things they want to hear and not what they need to. Sadly this makes the very open to deception and they can be taken advantage of. But they lack the ability to learn from past pain emotionally and physically and of learning form times they endangered themselves in the past. So they continually put themselves in dangerous decisions or even in situations to make bad moral decisions. The most difficult time of having to deal with this is when you realize you cannot help and it is best if you walk away to prevent emotional and even physical harm to yourself.

Embarrassment also activates the TJ and if over activated it can cause us to over respond to emotions causing us to over react or make a bad decision. If we dwell on the embarrassment or compromise moral norms we could constantly put ourselves in a position to be embarrassed or humiliated. This causes hyperactivation of the TJ. This leads to TJ fatigue. Then we lose the ability to feel embarrassed which when balanced it helps us to adjust our behavior so we can become better people and learn from our errors and make better decisions. If we lose our ability to feel embarrassed lose a key part of being guided morally. We will not even realize when we have done embarrassing or morally wrong things. Peer pressure and people giving into it is a result of hyper TJ activation. If we maintain awareness of who we are and protect our TJ it makes us less prone to peer pressure. We are all imperfect humans, the ones causing us to be embarrassed have done things that were embarrassing. Do not let others get you to focus on the embarrassment. Admit that the event happened, learn from it dwell on how you may be able to avoid it in the future or deal with when someone is trying to cause you to dwell on it. Do not let people constantly get you to dwell on it. This is something manipulative people do they will get you to dwell on something embarrassing you have done, or some error you made , or even exaggerate things. If we have learned from our experiences and used it to make ourselves a better person and make better decisions then we have no reason to dwell on thing we have done in the past. By learning to overcome things and becoming a better person and avoiding making those errors again it protects our TJ. If we have moved on and have grown and become wiser then we should not let people hold our past against us. If they get that power over us they can cause activation of the TJ and even eventually fatigue it which is worse. Either way it can cause us to react inappropriately to certain situations or decisions.

Meditation on a variety of things has been shown to improve overall brain health. Mindful meditation on our day without judging things and meditating on what we learned from it and how that knowledge can benefit future decisions. For example if we made a bad decision, instead of judging ourselves, or feeling embarrassed or shamed . We can think on how that occurred, how we could avoid putting ourselves in that situations again and how we can use that knowledge to make better decisions and become a better person. Also meditating on things that has made us happy in the past such as childhood memories that made us happy can improve overall brain function. Since spreading ourselves thin, chronic stress or trauma can damage the TJ. Meditating on one thing can help to repair the TJ . For example when mine TJ was damaged from Lyme my friends in the Facebook group taught me to focus on one things I really like and imagine doing it in my own mind. I had a 1978 ¾ Ford pickup truck I had just started to restore and it was laying in parts in my garage. I was just getting ready to put it back together and paint it when I got ill. My friends told me to imagine myself putting it back together and think about nothing else. I have to say from personal experience the results on healing my brain were dramatic. My brain function dramatically improve about the third day I started doing it. It was very difficult to visualize at first. But after three days it became easier and easier and my thinking became clearer and clearer. But you have to focus on thinking about nothing else. That part was very difficult and took me about a week to be able to do successfully.

I have discussed how to increase gray matter and BDNF in others post. Studies have shown those are decreased in temporal dysfunction so increasing those would improve TJ function. Gray matter loss if found to occur in most times of mental illness and mental dysfunction.

So you can see how easily our temporal junction can be effected, the importance of doing our best to protect it and to maintain it’s health the best we can. If it does get upregulated or fatigued it is very important to make sure the things that guide us morally is what we rely on to guide us and not what we feel is the right thing to do. If we do not do that then we can make decisions that not only add stress and trauma to our lives but it could actually endanger us or cost us our life.

Hormones neurotransmitters and the brain.

Written by Lee stevenson, sorry there will be a lot of typos I am not the best editor.

This is not medical advice , if you are ill please seek the help of someone qualified. I am writing this for educational purposes. By knowing these things it can better guide you to knowing whether the professional you seek knows what they are doing or whether they do not.

COMT MAO enzymes

Our hormones and neurotransmitters regulate how we think, how we feel emotionally, and it also regulates our energy levels in our bodies. Though men usually have fast COMT and fast MAO and women usually have slow I would not assume that is the case. I have seen many women with fast COMT and fast MAO and men with slow COMT and slow MAO. When there is excess amounts of hormones for too long it starts to desensitize the receptor and a person will need more and more of the hormone until the receptors stop functioning entirely. This is why it is better to correct the problem instead of treating it with medications or herbs. Herbs can help to alleviate symptoms as you work to correct the problems. If you have slow MAO you will do poorly when you consume things that have catechols such as green tea, coffee, bananas, citrus fruit, chocolate it will cause anxiety, inability to relax, aggressiveness if MAO is slow, If MAO is high it those will make you feel better.

COMT ( catechol-o-methyltransferase) and MAO (monoamine oxidase) help to regulate neurotransmitters and hormones. I have found people can switch between fast and slow COMT and fast and slow MAO activity but it seems the switching between MAO high and slow expression happens much less often in most people. Something COMT needs whether fast or slow is glutathion, magnesium and vitamin C. There are many toxins that inhibit COMT but mercury is the most common because it is used in some vaccines. Nutrients even determine if things are fast or slow. When stressed based on the nutrient levels at the time a person could be effected either way. So I don’t assume someone is fast or slow I pay attention to what their symptoms are.

COMT effects MAO because it regulates hormone levels and neurotransmitters. Hormones effect MAO , testosterone and androgen inhibits MAO causing lower neuropeptide levels. Estrogen and progesterone decrease MAO causing higher neuropeptide levels. COMT breaks down hormones , dopamine, epinephrine and norepinephine adrenal hormones. Because women have lower catechols and adrenal hormones they are much more sensitive to things that would cause fear such as getting in a fight, or dealing with a dangerous situation. But they can handle stress better then men. Because men have low levels they can they are less prone to fear but cannot handle as much stress. Mean can get overwhelmed by stress much more easily. Now this does not hold true for those who experienced trauma as a child especially sexual abuse because it damages many areas of the brain making those areas none receptive to certain stimuli while other areas of the brain are over activated. Those ones need a therapist who knows how to use nutrients, to heal the brain and how to use therapy to heal the brain. Studies have shown those areas can heal but when the areas start working again the victim will start remembering things they had not remembered and start feeling things they never felt before which can be overwhelming and confusing for them.

Slow COMT slows down the ability to break do neurotransmitters such as dopamine, estrogen and adrenal hormones such as epinephrin and norepinephrin. Meaning adrenal hormones and sex hormone levels could become too high. Stress slows down COMT. Slow COMT are the warriors or problem solvers, because of the high dopamine and adrenal hormone levels. When these people get stressed many areas of the brain can shut down from the increased dopamine and adrenal hormones. It can cause them to be worriers, experience head pain, get annoyed easily and have difficulty falling asleep. Odd these people will not back down from a fight but when stressed they collapse. I am one of them. But I almost have it corrected. People with slow COMT tend to over react to stress, and pressure because it increases dopamine and adrenal hormone levels which are already high. This causes many areas of the brain to shut down. Estrogen has a calming effect when broken down by COMT because it produces calming metabolites but in high levels makes a woman anxious, she cannot calm down or relax because it slows down MAO. Too little estrogen will cause excessive crying and depression. Fast COMT is why men tend to be grumpier.

Slow COMT causes high estrogen and progesterone which speeds up MAO activity. This can cause low hormone levels low dopamine and low serotonin levels. COMT and MAO have to be addressed along with balancing hormones when this occurs. Stress slows COMT and MAO. Men already have low levels so when they are decreased more they could get involved in risky and dangerous behavior to try and increase them. They will be more prone to being angry and getting violent when levels are low. Men’s hormones are a bit more resistant to change. There is a form of COMT that can alternate between fast and slow expression.

MAO deficiency can cause aggressive behavior, low impulse control. Hyper activeness, ADHD, autism, if severe skin flushing sweating, diarrhea and headaches. It can also cause violent behavior. Those with low MAO enzymes will be aggressive, experience weight gain, and can be violent. People think those with certain gene mutations experience high and low. That is not true life , diet, and toxins can effect these enzymes. Even our microbiome can effect our COMT and MAO because they effect our hormones and catechols.

Because COMT breaks down dopamine it’s over expression can cause anxiety, impusliveness, obsessive behavior that can lead to addiction to drugs , alcohol or even behavior that is dangerous, ADHD, irritability, hyperactivity, poor sleep quality. These are what they call type A personalities. They feel pressured to perform. They usually will be people pleasers.

In woman during pregnancy MAO activity decreases, shortly after child birth it increases. This is why many women experience depression after pregnancy. Those who experience this usually get depressed in the winter.

Slow MAO activity causes high dopamine and high serotonin levels. Estrogen and Progesterone slow down MAO. So women have higher dopamine and adrenal hormone levels then men, making them more prone to the negative effects of stress. So this means women are more prone to the mental effects of stress. Low MAO activity. can cause hypomania, depression, anxiety, hypertension, and a stiff neck. Low MAO activity causes loss of impulse control , extreme agitation, nausea, muscle twitching, and straight forwardness. Low MAO is what can cause people to get stuck in fight or flight mode. Slow MAO causes a person to worry more and and experience anxiety. Because women have slow MAO they are more prone to worrying and experiencing anxiety. When MOA and COMT are slow and we get xenoestrogens a toxin produced by man, into our bodies or some phytoestrogen it can cause dopamine levels to get too high. This causes excess anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain. A woman with this problem will have a very low tolerance to stress and trauma. Excess estrogen will slow down many methylation pathways. This makes me wonder about the men now days who are showing to have high estrogen levels from the toxins in our food and many farm chemicals in our food.

Slow MAO causes high tyramine levels which acts just like histamines. So they think they have high histamines so they take an antihistimine. This causes them to experience difficulty sleeping, increased sexual drive but unable to achieve and orgasm, weight gain, dry mouth, sleepiness and POTS.

I see this all the time people post they are having histamine issues when it is actually tyramine. The foods they name are high in tyramine. People with high tyramine levels from inhibited MAO will react to aged or fermented foods, oranges, bananas that are too ripe, beers and wines, Avocado’s , fava beans and lima beans because they are high in tyramine. Inhibited mitochondrial beta oxidation also causes high tyramine. At the end of this article you will see the importance of this.

Slow MAO can also experience a burning tongue, nausea , hiccups, muscle twitching, restlessness, restless leg syndrome, nervousness, hyperactivity, hyper sexuality, mania, OCD, hypertension, sweating especially at night, heart palpitations, hypertension, skin may get pale, fatigue, weight gain, anxiety, bloating, headaches, moody, breast tenderness, irritable and easy to anger. When very severe they can experience difficulty breathing, asthma, many heart issues, disorientation, autism, aspbergers, dementia, adrenal fatigue, glucose imbalance, low luteinizing hormone, low growth hormone, High T4 and low T3 from low conversion of thyroid hormones. Women need to get their estrogen and progesterone levels balanced if they are slow MAO. Slow COMT tend to be more lean and cannot gain weight.

Estrogen decreases COMT activity. Even though COMT breaks down estrogen it is inhibited 30% by estrogen. The hormones produced from estrogen have a calming effect. I have watched some women’s hormone levels jump up and down meaning their COMT and MAO levels are also fluctuating. When COMT or MAO is fast it will show up on OATS test with high homovanillic acid. There are other enzymes that break down dopamine which I will try to discuss. So it stands to reason if COMT or MAO is slow then dopamine will be high and homovanillic acid levels will be low. It takes two weeks for the body to replace MAO when they have been completely inhibited by a drug.

Usually if someone is having issues with slow MAO it will effect their CBS and BH4 pathways. If BH4 levels are low dopamine will get low. When BH4 activity is low it puts more of a burden on the CBS pathway. These ones will have high hydrogen sulfide, and high ammonia levels and will react to foods high in glutamine, and phenylalanine. They will also get ill when they eat meat or cruciferous vegetables , onions or garlic because of the high sulfur content. Normally phenylalanine and tyrosine would increase alertness and arousal but if someone has slow MAO the tyrosine will increase tryptamine causing and allergy like reaction. Phenylalanine will increase ammonia causing high glutamate levels. Glutamate is an excitotoxin in high levels it damages the brain. If levels get high enough a person will get headaches so severe they will think their head is going to split open.

Fast MAO is usually found in men because androgen and testosterone causes Fast MAO expression which rapidly break down dopamine and serotonin which can cause anxiety, impulsiveness, obsessive behavior which can lead to drug addiction or even addiction to doing dangerous things. It can also cause ADHD, irritability, hyperactivity, poor sleep quality, these are the type A personality people who can be people pleasers because they feel pressure to perform. Foods high in catechols help. Because men have lower catechol levels they can tolerate more in their diet. I have seen woman with fast COMT and fast MAO and they show many of the traits a man would with a few differences. They tend to be more disassociative and more unforgiving when they have fast COMT and fast MAO. that is just my observation.

Testosterone and androgen increase COMT and MAO. Since some woman have low estrogen and progesterone , and high androgen now days I would not doubt of many of them are now fast COMT and fast MAO.

Slow MAO can be caused by adrenal fatigue. The body tries to preserve the adrenal hormones by slowing MAO. It is very important for those with slow MAO to manage stress and learn stress management techniques.

Fast MAO can be caused by inflammation and oxidative stress. Fast MAO can cause Crohn’s usually MAO inhibitors helps with Chron’s Fast MAO causes processed sugar and processed carbohydrate cravings. These ones will wake in the middle of the night hungry. Fast MAO causes low dopamine and adrenal hormones. Because men have fast MAO they are more prone to having social anxiety especially if they have been stressed.

Fast MAO causes a craving for processed sugar and processed carbohydrates. Eating them makes it worse. From the low serotonin they will be prone to constipation. Those with low MAO get depressed during the winter. They experience insomnia, low tolerance to pain, low self esteem, OCD, panic, many with PTSD have fast MAO. They also have poor dream recall, have aggressive behavior, and can be violent very quickly and unpredictably. Very impulsive and often times do not think their decision’s through.

Symptoms of fast MAO depression, lack of motivation, lack of sex drive, no desire to live, chest pain, stiff neck, nausea, loss of libido,

Whether someone has fast or slow MAO they should reduce inflammation and oxidative stress so the body can balance things out. They should pay attention to how their COMT and MAO are working so they can make the adjustments in their protocols.

Nutrients needed for low MAO:

Iron, zinc picolinate, copper and riboflavin, glutathione, folate (make certain it is not folic acid), vitamin B12, vitamin B2, SAMe, vitamin C

Herbs for the adrenals. Such as eleuthero, ashwangha, passion flower, lemon balm, valerian

Nutrients and foods to avoid: Pay attention to high phenol foods those with low MAO can react to phenols.

Foods high in tryptophan and phenylalanine, phytoestrogens,

Fermented and aged foods.

MAO inhibitors: need to be avoided by those with slow MAO activity. Those with slow MAO may react to methy donors so should try to get non methylated forms of vitamins. I reacted to methyl groups but once I healed I was fine. For example Hydroxy B12 my be a better option for those with low MAO. Those with low nitric oxide should not take hydroxy B12.

Things that contain apigenin, luteolin,

Virodhamine and endogenous cannabinoid.

Nutrients and supplements for low MAO:

Riboflavin phosphate increases MAO this helps reduce aggressiveness.

Magnesium malate or magnesium glycinate. Especially needed if you take SAMe.

Things that increase MAO: Increasing MAO will reduce neurotransmitters preventing excess neurotransmitters.

Fulvi acid increases MAO it is high in organic, non sulfured black strap molasses, calcium.

Indian snake root

Methylene blue

St Jon’s wort

Things a person with low MAO should avoid: MAO inhibition can cause high levels of neurotansmitters. Drugs that inhibit MAO can cause serotonin syndrome.

These should be avoided until they are healed are tyrosine, tryptophan, soy sauce, chocolate, alcohol, raisins, curcumin, passion flower , nutmeg, kava, calcium , riboflavin.

Andrographin, angelica, bayberry, bilberry, celery, coffee, curcumin, echinacea, coriander , evening primrose, St John’s wort, Uva Ursa and other things with berberine.

Nutrients needed for fast MAO: be aware of any foods you are sensitive to and avoid them as much as possible.

High protein, lots of fiber, complex carbohydrates, glutathione, tryptophan,

Fermented foods and aged foods.

Some things that help with fast MAO:

Rhodiola

Green tea

Foods high in Querciten

Things to avoid with fast MAO:

Riboflavin

Eating process sugar and processed carbs will make things worse so fight the cravings when possible.

Kyurenine maintains brain health. Kyurenine pathway produces serotonin from tryptophan. It is not the Kyrenine pathway itself that is the problem but the way I worded this it may seem to be. The problem is when it becomes dysfunctional and is producing high levels of quinolinic acid. It metabolizes tryptophan and produces metabolites that are very healing to the body reduces inflammation and oxidative stress when functioning properly. It produces Quinolinic acid which is involved in many psychiatric disorders, and neurodegenerative processes in the brain. Quinolinic acid is an excitotoxin. Quinolinic acid affects neurons located mainly in the hippocampus, striatum, and neocortex, due to the selectivity toward quinolinic acid by the specific NMDA receptors residing in those regions. Quinolinic acid causes excess cell death. When it is dysfunctional serotonin levels can become decreased. Those with Lyme disease have extremely high levels of quinolinic acid. High ammonia levels can also cause high quinolinic acid levels.

High quinolinic acid levels will resemble high glutamate levels because glutamate increases, and it causes glutamate to be released, but you also may only you may sleep a lot, have brain fog and get very severe headaches and severe depression, loss of the ability to focus, loss of the ability to learn, severe forgetfulness.

kyurenine pathway when functioning properly will produce beneficial metabolites from tryptophan. It produces toxic metabolites when there is excess Inflammation, oxidative stress, infection, high glyphosate, or if someone has taken antibiotics such as fluoroquinolones which can cause it to dysfunction producing too much quinolinic acid, which causes brain swelling and brain fog, and brain cell death. KYNA inhibits the convulsive and excitotoxic effects of too much glutamate transmission. This occurs because it has to be used to neutralize excess glutamate. High levels of kynurenic acid have been identified in patients suffering from tick-borne encephalitis, schizophrenia and HIV-related illnesses. Notice all conditions that involve confusion and psychotic symptoms. Kynurenic acid acts in the brain as NMDAr antagonist, key in glutamatergic neurotransmission system, which is thought to be involved in the pathophysiology and pathogenesis of schizophrenia. So even though it is involved in producing ATP it’s upregulation can cause many problems in the brain. So it is very important to get rid of any infections causing it’s upregulation, inflammation and oxidative stress. It’s upregulation causes a pyridoxine 5-posphate deficiency which effects many metabolic and mitochondria functions negatively.

Reducing KYNA increases glutamatergic function in the hippocampus and enhances cognitive abilities and synaptic plasticity. Hippocampus has been found to be dysfunctional in those who suffered child hood abuse, experienced chronic stress or who have PTSD. By reducing it, it would increase a persons desire to experience life spatial recognition, passive avoidance, and spatial discrimination. So they would become more enthused about life, be more aware of their surroundings and be able to identify bad situations and avoid them. Their ability to learn from mistakes they have made that could have endangered them or caused them harm improves. Those who have hippocampal damage will constantly make bad decisions that endanger them, bring them pain whether physically or emotionally. They cannot remember those experiences when the hippocampus is not functioning so they will continually put themselves in bad situations that can damage their lives, relationships and the effects often times are completely life changing bringing more trauma on themselves. It is not good to inhibit this pathway because inhibiting it can cause MAO to be inhibited. KYNA also damages the amydala which is also damaged in those who experienced childhood trauma, chronic stress and who have PTSD. Stress also activates KYNA pathway so stress management technique learning is important to reduces it’s activation. You do not want to inhibit it because it is involved in helping us overcome social defeat. Low kynurenine levels have been implicated in aggression, depression, and headaches. So it should never be inhibited. If you experience any of those symptoms then tryptophan can help alleviate the feelings of social defeat, aggressiveness , depression and headaches.

kynurenic acid exerts its neuroprotective effect by acting as an antagonist of the glutamate receptor, N-methyl-d-aspartate (NMDA), quinolinic acid exerts its neurotoxic effect by acting as an agonist of the NMDA receptor. So you can see it is not so much KYNA that is the problem but when inflammation, toxins, stress, trauma has caused it to start producing quinolinic acid in higher amounts then kynurenic acid. The reason it does this is to produce more ATP in the body because when injured , or when you have an infection the body needs more ATP. Also if you have a metabolic issue slowing the production of ATP found in obesity then KYNA pathway will compensate and more quinlolinc acid is produced.

The headaches caused by high quinolinic acid is because it prevents glutamate from being uptaken into cells causing high levels of glutamate in the brain which is an excitotoxin when levels are high.

caffeine and regular black tea consumption can elevate quinolinic acid levels so should be avoided if KYNA is upregulated.

KYNA production of quinolinic acid activates an inflammatory response, and increases oxidative stress in the body and brain. Once inflammation and oxidative stress has activated it, these will need addressed. Remember oxidative stress and inflammation is what caused the production of quinolinic acid, so a cycle is created that needs to be broken. Major depression and bipolar depression contain increased quinolinic acid. High quinolinic acid levels causes a person to be less caring towards others. It can cause amyotropic lateral sclerosis, Alzheimer’s, restricted blood flow to the brain, Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease. Quinolinic acid also causes low acetylcholine levels which causes brain fog, lack in the ability to concentrate, hindered ability to learn, inability to focus, poor memory recall, and low energy levels or enthusiasm. Sulfation issues need corrected , because it is involved in regulating KYNA. The excess glutamate causes restlessness, anxiety, inability to focus, increased pain throughout the body. If levels get high enough a person can get ringing or strange sounds in their ears and splitting headaches.

Exercise helps to reduce KYNA, learning to manage stress and reduce it reduces KYNA.

Things that help to decrease the production of quinolinic acid are melatonin, selenium, L-theanine, green tea, curcumin combine with black pepper, niacin, Pyridoxal 5-phosphate, cruciferous vegetables, astanxanthan from natural sources, man made astaxanthan is toxic to the body, glutathione, riboflavin, Vitamin E which is found in COD liver oil and extra virgin olive oil. Zinc picolinate can help but in high dose it can do the opposite, grape seed extract, and pine bark extract. Amino acids leucine, isoleucine, phenylalanine, and methionine reduce quinolinic acid production. Chromium, lipoic acid and vanadium help to get out of ketosis if beta oxidation is inhibited.

These should be avoided if quinolinic acid levels are high because they will increase it more arginine, tryptophan, and glutamine. Quinolinic acid causes Pellagra (niacin deficienty) which causes excess weight loss, scaly skin lesions, delusions and confusion. Magnesium can actually increase quinolinic acid so those with high quinolinic acid levels will react to magnesium. You will also react to carbohydrates because they increase tryptophan levels which get converted to quinolinic acid when KYNA is dysfunctional.

N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT) melatonin and serotonin are needed to produce it. Very healing to the brain but can cause hallucinations.Holding your breath (hypoxia) Yoga increases DMT. Fast MAO causes low levels. Slow MAO have increased levels.

DMT acts on Sig1R it can interact with other neurotransmitter receptors and change their function by forming complexes with them. When it’s inside the cell, it binds anti-stress proteins and aids them in performing their functions. In the nucleus, it recruits other proteins that bind to DNA and activate or deactivate different genes via epigenetic mechanisms. Other compounds bind to it as well, including cocaine and the sex hormone progesterone. It protects the brain from cell death even during oxygen deprivation. DMT is shown to lead to the production of cyclic adenosine monophosphate. (cAMP), a secondary receptor messenger. Forskolin can increase cAMP. Low cAMP levels causes depression by increasing cAMP it would improve mood. Also many hormones and neurotransmitters are regulated by cAMP. DMT also 5-hydroxytryptamine 2A receptor or the trace amine–associated receptor to cause its psychedelic effect.

DMT is found in many hallucinogenic plants and mushrooms that are being used to heal injury to the brain. DMT prevents anxiety and depression. DMT has been found to restore inflammatory and immune homeostasis.

DMT improves HPA function which helps to reduce fatigue and improve tolerance to stress. DMT improves brain plasticity and has been found to help those who’s brains have been damaged by trauma, chronic stress, and PTSD. It improves the health of tissue throughout the body.

DMT is produced from tryptamine by certain enzymes. MAO breaks it down so fast MAO would have low levels and slow MAO would have higher levels. This may be way fermented and aged foods make some feel better because they are high in tryptamine. It inhibits MAO for a very short amount of time. L-amino acid decarboxylase converts tryptamine to DMT. L-amino acid decarboxylase needs pyridoxal 5-phosphate to form DMT. The enzymes that produce it need oil soluble vitamins such as vitamin A, vitamin E, and Vitamin D most of those can be acquired from cod liver oil and olive oil, omega 3 oils increases DMT. L-amino acid decarboxylase that is involved in DMT production are also involved in serotonin and dopamine production. Ironically it’s expression is increased by cAMP. L-amino acid decarboxylase other biogenic amines. So if this enzyme is slow a person would have issues when consuming fermented foods. Lack of sufficient P5P is the main cause of it being slow. Those with Slow MAO will react to tryptamine an biogenic amines so be they could try this they would need to address issues with MAO. Also those who’s beta oxidation in their mitochondria is inhibited would need to address their mitochondrial issues because it causes high tyramine. So if they have mitochondrial issues and slow MAO it is going to cause them a lot of problems.

Knowing if someone committed infidelity.

I would often times be betrayed in my relationships. I wanted to know how I could be more aware of when someone has been unfaithful, so I looked at how the one who was unfaithful is effected. I have found this to be very common changes in people who have cheated on someone. I usually keep my nose out of it when I see this occur but it still hurts seeing it happen.

Those who have affairs will have increased dopamine at first. They will feel more attractive, more content and have a heightened sense of pleasure. They become more emotionally open increasing their feeling of well being. But when the guilt kicks in it changes their personality. When the affair first occurs they will have more confidence. This behavior can become addictive so they may start having multiple affairs.

These are the most common changes that occur in people when they have had an affair. The guilt and anxiety of the consequences cause the HPA to become upregulated. This effects their sleep, memory becomes poor, they will start having angry outburst and may become withdrawn from people. They start feeling incomplete or like something is missing and lose the knowledge of self identity. This causes them to seek their identity by imitating others.

When they first commit the act of infidelity they will become withdrawn and avoid the person they wronged. Later to justify in their minds the wrong doing they will start pointing out the person they wronged short comings.

In the later stages they become self involved believing everyone is beneath them. They also easily lie because the areas involved in moral values shut down. They become very defensive and will only see things from their perspective. They will get angry at others if they make them aware of a flaw they may have or if they are wrong about something and will lash out at them.

They will only make friendships with those they can control. They start viewing relationships as a means to accomplish things or get what they want so they will only associate with those they can control or manipulate.

They start to devalue others in order to try and reduce their feelings of guilt. They will lose the ability to see good in others for the most part and will only see their negative qualities in an effort to make themselves feel better by believing others are worse then they are. This also causes them to not accept the opinions or ideas of others and they will become angry at ones who do try to share an idea or opinion with them. They become very closed minded and pick and choose knowledge they accept if it supports them down playing their guilt.

Because the areas of the brain involved in feeling guilt shut down they also lose the ability to feel empathy for others.

Internally they will feel inadequate, but will overcompensate by being overly confident or will start basing things on appearances and their achievements but inside they have many fears. The fears for the most part is because these things cause them to lose their self identity they no longer know who they are. To farther add to the loss of identity they will hide who they really are from people and only display positive behavior to them.

Thet start rebuking others often and start believing the world is wrong and they are right. They will seek out information to support that belief and reject anything that exposes the reality of their thinking and will get angry and lash out at anyone who provides information that shows they are incorrect about something. This causes them to start being overly defensive if they are incorrect about other things or if they have made an error and it has been pointed out. This is in an effort to maintain their belief they are right and the world is wrong. What adds to this behavior and makes it is worse because they did something wrong they believe others are capable of wrong doing. They start only seeing others negative qualities this causes them to lose their ability to trust others. Areas of the brain involved morality are shut down from the guilt, this causes them to only be able to access memories of when they have made errors farther increasing their lack of trust in others because their brain can no longer access positive memories.

They lose their ability to feel satisfied after sex. They also have the reduced ability to feel love. This will cause them to seek the attention of others trying to compensate for it. But they may have episodes where they become withdrawn when this does not make them feel better.

Those who have had an affair often times lose their ability to set goals and quickly lose interest in things. This causes them to make many bad decisions because they start making decisions based on impulse.

They also will display excess anger partially because they are now unable to see the positive things in people and are mostly aware of their negative qualities. This is is a way to try and make themselves feel better about their guilt and make themselves feel better by convincing themselves others are worse then they are.

Their ability to make decision becomes impaired and they will make decisions based on impulse but because they no longer can access positive memories often times they will make errors in their decisions that effect their lives or others negatively.

If they are a spiritual person they will avoid any scriptures that may make them feel guilt or make them aware of their error and will choose to listen to scriptures that seem to support their behavior.

If a person admits their guilt, learns from it their brain can heal and they will learn from their error.

Effects of trauma and chronic stress on the brain.

Written by Lee Stevenson. Sorry there are many typos. I got tired writing this. I will fix them when I get a chance.

I am writing this in hope it can make others aware. This is not medical advice if you are ill seek the help of a qualified and experienced professional who has knowledge and experience of these issues I will be discussing. I am writing this for educational purposes hoping others can become aware and maybe even realize when they need the help of a professional. One thing I do know when we have mental issues people will take advantage of that to harm us or put us in a vulnerable position. This can also cause ones to make decisions that can negatively effect them or someone else the rest of their lives. By being aware of these things a person could learn to correct it and it could help them find someone who is experienced and has had a proven success record it helping to correct the damage to these areas of the brain. It also could make a person aware of problems they have so they can make better decisions by taking into consideration they have those issues mentally. We all can experience these symptoms at one time or another but those who’s brains have been damaged will experience them more spontaneously, more exaggerated and for a longer duration of time. Those with healthy brains and hormone levels will recover from trauma or stress much more quickly and become focused much more quickly. Most of those with these issues are very functional until they experience severe trauma or stress. There are subtle things that they consistently do that makes them stand out if a person knows what to watch for. Sadly I have seen many therapist who do not address the underlying problem but tell them what they believe they need to hear instead of doing what they need to do. Maybe they think by calming them down it will help so they tell them what they want to hear instead of what they need to. But if you read the research it is not helping because they have to face their brains are damaged and start taking steps to heal it. By telling them what they want to hear they are making things worse.

One thing I noticed that is very important for healing is cholesterol. It is needed for healing throughout the body, for fighting infection, and for proper metabolism. The brain cannot function without cholesterol. When there is excess oxidative stress, excess inflammation or a deficiency it severely limits the body and the brains ability to heal. The oxidative stress and inflammation causes cholesterol to be diverted to healing the body from the injury of the oxidative stress and inflammation which deprives other areas of the body of the cholesterol needed. Cholesterol is needed to make hormones and steroid hormones to keep the brain healthy. Without cholesterol neurosterones cannat be produced to maintain the health of the brain.

Keep in mind any of us could show these symptoms at one time or another if we experience stress, trauma or infection but they rapidly go away when a person’s brain is not damaged. Those who do have these issues usually get good at hiding them. But when they experience trauma, stress, or or anxiety they become more more expressed and it takes them a much longer amount of time to recover enough them can hide them again.

Because many areas of the brain are connected dysfunction in one area can can dysfunction in another area. There are so many things that can damage the brain such as inhibited blood flow which often times occurs with vaccine injury. Physical trauma that can cause many of the things I mentioned below to occur. But I am going to speak of the effects of trauma and chronic stress because they are heavily involved in damage that occurs to the brain. Often times it is a combination of things resulting in multiple areas of the brain being damage. I will be generalizing , and mentioning the most common effects. This is because different areas say such as the frontal cortex could be functioning in one area and not another. This could cause different behaviors. By lumping things together concerning certain areas of the brain it can give a person some idea of what areas of the brain have been effected. One of the reasons those who have been sexually molested as a child have more brain damage is because they tend to internalize their emotions. This causes a decrease in gray matter. Gray matter maintains overall health of the brain. Often times they internalize because of the same, or sometimes they even want to protect the abuser because it is someone the family has deep respect for or care for. Sometimes the abuser makes threats to frighten the child so they will not tell others about the abuse that occurred. Sometimes when the child speaks of the abuse they are not believe and the abuse continues so to prevent the anger and other negative emotions that come with not being believed and protected could be another reason they internalize their emotions.

Each person is effected differently with damaged areas of the brain. They communicate with each other, for example if one person’s amygdala is less damaged then another person and they have damage in the brain in an area that another does not with similar issues then their symptoms may be more severe while the one with areas not damaged wil only show certain symptoms from the damage to the amydala but will not show as many as the person with other damaged areas. Often times people with damaged area of the brain will show no symptoms unless there is increased stress or trauma.

This occurs in those who have post traumatic stress syndrome and female children who have been sexually molested. It can also occur from chronic stress, infection, from toxins such as heavy metals and vaccine injury. The older they are the less severe the damage is. It causes alterations in their brain that are very difficult to correct because the behavior it causes. They tend to be bias in their thinking. Infection , toxins , and many medications especially fluoroquinolones can cause this to occur. I was fortunate because when I was injured by fluoroqinolones and Lyme disease friends on Facebook taught me to do many of these things. Trauma alters the microbiome which also causes damage to the brain.

Females who were sexually assaulted at a young age have a difficult time correcting the times of brain damage cause by the assault. It causes them to be biased and non flexible in their thinking. It is the damage caused to their brains that causes this to happen. By being aware of these things maybe we will judge others less harshly and support them when possible. Hopefully some information may help someone who may have one of these problems and guide them to getting the help they need. The degrees of damage will vary so the symptoms for each person will very some may have more damage in certain areas then others. Many of the things I learn in this was from my research to learn to heal my brain from the damage Lyme and fluoroquinolone drugs caused to my brain.

Those under chronic stress, have experienced trauma or have PTSD have excess oxidative stress and inflammation which damages the brain. Those things need addressed in order to heal. Also damage to various are of the brain causes alterations in the microbiome, leaky gut and gut inflammation which cause brain inflammation and damage.

There are peptides that can rapidly heal the brain but I will not discuss them because I do not have enough knowledge of them to be certain of the safety. I do not trust the research until I have compared many research papers on something.

Studies have shown even with adjustments in diet if the person experiencing this type of damage does not get help form someone who is trained in knowledge of the damage caused and how to retrain the mind to help correct the dysfunction recovery is very very low.

In studies woman who were sexually assaulted or abused as a child had more damage to various regions of the brain. The older the woman was when it occurred the less severe the symptoms are because they have other memories they can relate to in order to make decisions. Parts of their brain had already been developed helping to prevent the damage. Each person who experienced trauma is effected differently. By learning we can help to figure out what areas of the brain need healing. Trauma damages the brain many with PTSD suffer from these things but female children who have been sexually assaulted suffer the most severely from brain dysfunction.

When someone has PTSD their glucose and insulin becomes disregulated. It is very important to work on correcting them. Those with more severe PTSD can experience obesity or chronic fatigue. It inhibits ATP production. Adjustments in diet and nutrients can help to relieve this. Antioxidants and anti-inflammatory foods help to increase gray matter in the brain. Betaine (trimethyl glycine)(not beataine HCL or TMG-HCL but TMG alone. ) helps to increase gray matter. Coffee in moderation increases gray matter but if consumed in excess it does the opposite. Berry consumption increases gray matter. Consuming nuts and seeds especially pumpkin seeds increases gray matter. Vitamin C helps increase gray matter. Eggs and other foods that are high in choline increases gray matter by increasing acetylcholine. Lactobacillus planatarum, Staphylococcus aureus which most are deficient in now, Commensal E coli such as E coli nissle , produce acetylcholine. Bacillus subtilis produces acetycholine but must be taken with Bacillus coagulins or it will cause health issues. Bacillus acetylcholini produces acetylcholine from choline. B virtamins such as pyridoxal 5-phosphate, methyl folate, thiamine, vitamin B12, and niacin increase gray matter. Minerals and vitamins should be taken with food if not they will decrease the good microbes in your gut. Salt deficiency can cause a loss of gray matter. By consuming himalayan salt studies have shown the micronutrients in it help to prevent overconsumption of salt. A deficiency in cholesterol causes over all brain shrinking so it is important to get enough cholesterol. Vitamin E found in Cod liver oil has been shown to increase gray matter.

Low levels of butyric acid producing bacteria can cause a decrease in gray matter. Low ATP production occurs in those who have PTSD. It is important to correct this because it causes brain shrinkage. Those with PTSD usually have gut leakage and inflammation which shrinks the brain. These also need to be corrected. Lactose improves brain function but in high levels it can damage the brain . Levels get higher in those with inhibited ATP production so if it is not corrected consuming things that increase lactose levels can damage the brain even more. Maltose has been shown to reduce brain shrinkage and improve glucose levels. Inhibited ATP production also causes issues with fat metabolism and it can make symptoms worse if this is not corrected and fats are consumed.

Calcium improves brain function but in those who have had PTSD for decades they usually have issues with calcium regulation and will get worse taking calcium if they do not correct it.

Increasing gray matter will heal many areas of the brain. Gray matter is reduced in those who have experienced trauma especially as a child. Low gray matter levels can cause memory loss and dementia later in life. Low gray matter levels makes it difficult to see then end consequences of decisions and the end reward for actions. It can make a person more prone to seeing the negativity of things and less able to see the reward or positive outcomes. For example when a person with a healthy brain experiences stress the next time they are better able to deal with it and can see the positive effects of their previous trials and how it helped improve their decision making, those with low gray matter will only be able to focus on the negative effects of stress. Yoga, meditation and exercise increases gray matter. Excess exposure to media has been shown to decrease gray matter. Those who spend more time on social media, watch TV, listening to media broadcast have lower gray matter levels. The more the exposure the less gray matter they will have. Exposure to chronic stress can cause a loss of gray matter which will cause memory loss and cause poor decision making. Those who learn to inhibit the stress response have more gray matter. This takes special training and is usually not successful in those who experienced trauma early in life because the trauma causes them to have bias in their thinking. They tend to only see the possible negative outcome and cannot see picture positive outcomes in their mind. Mindful meditation improves gray matter. That means you mediate on your day and do not judge things but focus on what you have learned and how it can benefit you in making future decisions. You more focus on how mistakes or things that happened can help you make better decisions or avoid certain situations such as if we made a bad decision and it effected our life negatively we would not focus on the error but focus on how to avoid the error again. Because those who have experienced trauma in life early will have atrophied hypocampas they will have a difficult time doing this because it is needed for non-judgmental awareness.

Consuming rice or oats in the morning increases gray matter but consuming bread in the morning decreases it. Omega 3 fatty acids increases gray matter. Learning new things or learning new skills increases gray matter. Playing video games increases gray matter. Excess video game playing and violent games have the opposite effect and reduces gray matter levels.

Exposure to complex environments increases gray matter such as driving in heavy traffick. But in excess the stress can start to damage the brain. Experiencing novel new things increases gray matter in the brain. For example learning new things or experiencing new things, increases gray matter. Doing things that increase creativity increases gray matter. Sharing your ideas with others without fear of judgment and listening to their suggestions without judging helps to increase creativity. So acquire friends you can share ideas with and they will not judge them. Learning a new craft such as pottery or knitting can increase creativity. Often times those with PTSD do not want to learn a new craft but by forcing themselves to it can retrain their brain. Learning relaxation techniques increased gray matter. Looking to do things in a new way can also increase gray matter. For example combine old knowledge with newly acquired knowledge to solve problems. Listening to music that makes a person feel good can increase gray matter. Helping others and doing acts of kindness increases gray matter. Practicing empathy, forgiveness and kindness even when stressed can help to increase gray matter. Drawing, painting, doing word puzzles, can also increase gray matter. Singing or humming increases gray matter. Experiencing new foods increases gray matter. Lithium helps increase gray matter but decreases sex drive. Taking it long term can cause weight gain and many other negative health effects. Damage to the hippocampus makes it difficult for someone to remember facts or events accurately. When stressed has added trauma a person with hippocampus damage can experiences transient global amnesia. It develops suddenly then suddenly goes away when the stress or trauma has been reduced. I am certain certain I have seen this occur in people. I have seen them make a bad decision based on impulse because those with damaged areas of the brain are prone to do it, they were immoral decisions that negatively effected their life and the lives of others long term. When this occurs in people who have inhibited impulse control they do not think about the long term consequences until after they do them. So the stress induced by what they realize they have done probably causes the memory loss. Because after I seen those people do the things that did you could tell they absolutely believed they did not do that and had no memory recall of it.

When stressed those who have experienced trauma will act negatively to acts of kindness , touch and affection because oxytocin increases which can cause the memories of the trauma to return and the negative feelings that came with it. This can cause mood swings, anger, and even violent behavior.

When traumatized the ventral prefrontal cortex loses it’s ability to inhibit the amygdala and because upregulated it increases adrenal hormones, extend period of upregulation causes it to start to atrophy and lose function.

Most of the nutrients I mentioned earlier improve overall brain function.

Chronic trauma and stress causes serotonin resistance and inhibited ability for it to be released in the brain. Infection, heavy metals, eating foods high in glyphosate, some medications especially fluoroquinolone can cause this to occur. Serotonin receptor density becomes decreased. This results in decreased GABA. So this has to be corrected before other issues are corrected in the brain. This usually causes dopamine receptor resistance also. This will cause the person to be more competitive and seek risking and sometimes dangerous behavior in and effort to increase serotonin levels this could include risky sexual behavior if the prefrontal cortex is damage also which occurs in those who experienced trauma as a child. This can also cause borderline personality disorder. It can increase anxiety, cause OCD, cause a loss of inhibition. Causing bad decision making that can negatively effect their life and the lives of others. It can cause severe depression, lack of self control causing impulsive behavior. This can cause an increase in aggressive behavior causing anger and even violent behavior. This also causes brain fog and difficulty making decisions. It reduces the brains ability to respond to stress because it effects many other areas of the brain. The effects of dopamine are very similar and many of the areas of the brain are effected by dopamine and serotoning so I will cover dopamine at the end of this article. The effects are very similar to serotonin.

Serotonin resistance which occurs in those who experienced trauma or chronic stress causes severe depression. Serotonin resistance impair the ability to sleep so those with serotonin resistance will not experience REM sleep so will not wake refreshed. People with serotonin resistance When they dream often times it will be nightmares. Serotonin resistance cause cause them to develop chronic fatigue. This can also cause fibromyaldia like symptoms and chronic pain. Serotonin deficiency causes poor memory and reduced ability to learn. They can have sudden trauma or stressful or traumatic memories will spring up suddenly in their minds. This can also cause sudden changes in mood and personality. This can cause a person to have trouble concentrating, become fidgety, chronically bored. They can become hyper. In order to try to increase serotonin they will get involved in risky and sometimes dangerous behavior. If it gets more severe a person can develop ADHD, dementia and schizophrenia. Those with damaged or low numbers of serotonin receptors take everything serious so they will take subtle jokes or comments as personal attacks. They may also experience frequent headaches. When there is damaged or low responsive serotonin receptors a person will become easily annoyed and experience extreme rage easily. Those with low serotonin levels will have an increased sex drive and sometimes masturbate frequently. This can also cause them to not be inhibited and will cross boundaries, so are often times have sexual relations with others even when they are married. But they do not have the emotional constructiveness so would not experience the satisfaction those who have normal functioning serotonin levels would when they have sex. Those with low serotonin receptor responsiveness often times will have low self esteem. They are more prone to being obese because they tend to crave carbohydrates . That is because the body uses carbohydrates to produce serotonin. But they will not respond to the serotonin so the cravings will continue. Those with low serotonin receptor responsiveness will sometimes experience restless leg syndrome. Those who’s receptors do not respond to serotonin will be easily stressed and will be less open to agreement. They are also sensitive to loud noises. Those with inhibited serotonin receptors have a difficult time fully connecting emotionally with others. Ironically their bodies will increases serotonin in an effort to compensate which will cause muscle twitching and muscle aches. The symptoms of non responsive serrotonin receptors are similar to non responsive dopamine receptor. Those with low serotonin receptor responsiveness have low impulse control so often times will cross moral boundaries they should not and do dangerous things that can harm them or others. Those often times have high levels of serotonin but their bodies do not respond to the serotonin. this causes many health problems. Often times when someone shows symptoms of low serotonin they will give them serotonin reuptake inhibitors. This will cause them many health problems because their receptors are non responsive , so it does no good increasing serotonin the receptors need repaired. When serotonin levels are normal a person will feel more content, and happy. Low serotonin causes constipation and high serotonin levels can cause diarrhea. Excess serotonin in the gut can cause nausea. Most of the serotonin the body uses is produced in the gut. Low serotonin will cause wounds in the body to heal much more slowly. If serotonin levels get too high a person can become agitated restless, lose inhibitions sexually and because hypersexual, a person can become confused, dizzy, become disoriented have hallucinations and seizures. High serotonin is usually drug induced.

When more severe it can cause muscle tremors, Bell’s Palsey, loss of motor control causing clumsiness.

Things that can increases serotonin and dopamine receptors and their sensitivity are . Making subtle changes that can improve your life. Those with damaged serotonin and dopamine receptors tend to not like change and may have to force themselves to make changes. Even things like paining a room a different color can increase the receptors sensitivity. Getting sunlight especially in the morning increases receptor sensitivity. Dwelling on theories of things a person can do to improve their life and the possible positive outcome can increase the receptors sensitivity. Mindful meditation increases the receptors sensitivity. Exercise even yoga increases the receptors sensitivity. Slowly implementing them and working to bring about these changes helps. One must be careful those making too many changes too quickly can cause stress and have the opposite effect.

Excess social media, excess TV watching, excess news, excess internet surfing, Gambling, and pornography has been found to make the serotonin and dopamine receptors unresponsive. So limiting these will improve the receptors function. Protein rich foods especially ones that contain tryptophan, phenylalanine, and tyrosine improve the receptors function. Also magnesium, Omega 3 oils, CoQ10, acetylcarnitine, melatonin, and vitamin D increases their density making them more receptive.

St John’s wort, Periwinkle, and Bacopa improves the receptors health and function.

Increasing BDNF improves overall brain health. Tumeric, resvertrol in things like grape seed extract, panax gensing, rhodiola, gingko, extra virgin olive oil, saffron, lemon balm, and perriwinkle increases BDNF. Ashwangha increases BDNF and reduces adrenal hormone levels which helps with anxiety. These most likely should be taken in the morning with food because they increase motivation and the feeling of well being, and increase energy levels.

Avena sativa (oat straw), Lavender, mugwort, japanese honetsuckle tea, rooibos tea reduces cortisol levels helps to reduce fear and anxiety, and improve tolerance to stress but can have a relaxant effect so should be used later at night.

Arnica and wild daisy improves over all brain and body health.

Inositol increases serotonin and dopamine receptor density. Commensal E coli such as E coli nissle, Bifidobacterium infantis, Bacteroides ovatus, produce inositol. It is produce from phytic acid found in beans , legumes, nuts and seeds. This helps prevent depression, bipolarism, it also improve insulin sensitivity and improves glucose levels which improves brain function. This also helps to normalize hormone and neurotransmitter levels. It prevents high androgen levels helping to prevent PCOS.

This is damaged and inhibited in women who suffered sexual abuse or trauma as a child, this can also be damage by the many things mentioned previously. It is made worse in women because estrogen and progesterone cause increased dysfunction when a woman is under stress. This is also damaged in PTSD.

frontoparietal network is involved in executive function and goal oriented thinking. It is also involved in task that are mentally demanding. It is important in rule based learning and moral problem solving. Those deficient in this will tend to manipulate people and take advantage of them and not feel remorse. It is also involved in actively taking in information of our environment organizing it to be able to anticipate the most probable outcome. Those with frontoparietal network dysfunction will get confused when they are over stimulated by stressful events, they will have a difficult time planning and making decisions in the context of goal-directed behavior. Those who have disrupted frontoparietal networks tend to break rules and moral norms without feeling remorse. They lack the ability to stay focused to achieve long term goals. They also have a hard time in identifying when information is irrelevant when making decisions so often times make errors in their decision making. This also causes them to lose the ability to inhibit ineffective or inappropriate solutions. They lack flexibility in their thinking and are not open to suggestions. They have a short attention span. This can also cause vision decline and blurred vision. They are more prone to acting on impulsive and compulsive behavior seeking instant gratification without thinking about the long term consequences that they actions may have. They may cross moral boundaries when they are married and have sexual relations with someone else and they will not think of the long term consequences of their actions. They have a difficult time adjusting to changes in their environment. It is involved in visual attention , the ability to take in visual information and compare the information to past experience to make a decision. Those with disrupted frontoparietal network have a difficult time doing this and the more information they have to process the more difficult it is for them to make decisions. Often times it results in them making an incorrect or immoral decision. They get easily distracted by sudden movements or sounds. Those with damage to frontoparietal cortex have a hard time coordinating visual information with motor skills. They can be clumsy. These ones can have a hard time with learning to drive or ride a bike because of the difficulty combining visual information with motor skills. Ever notice those people who run into doors ways a lot. This is something that those with low functioning frontoparietal networks do especially when under stress. The frontoparietal network is critical for our ability to coordinate behavior in a rapid, accurate, and flexible goal-driven manner. Those with healthy a frontoparietal network score higher on intelligence test. The frontoparietal network is involved in brain wide communication. It communicates with many other areas of the brain to improve cognitive function and decision making. It is also involved in a person’s ability to multitask. Because the frontoparietal network is involved in communicating with many areas of the brain it is involved in our sense of self. Those with low frontoparietal network function become disassociated. They lose their sense of self. These are the people who go through many friendships and relationships because they are emulating others, trying to established their identity. Sadly that only makes them use more of their sense of self. These ones usually are the people pleasers. They seem very kind but many of their relationships do not last because they cannot fully connect and relate to others because they have no sense of self so they try to do what they things would please others. Their personalities change based on who they have been associating with because they integrate their behavior into their own, they will try to like what others like instead of developing their own likes and dislikes.

Things mentioned above for other brain regions also improve the function of the frontoparietal network.

It’s function has been found to be disrupted in autism, schizophrenia, depression, dementia, and Alzheimer’s.

Mindfulness training improves it’s function. Practicing improving executive skills helps to improve it’s function. Setting goals by putting them in writing and practicing implementing them helps to improve it’s function. By teaching the brain to prepare for task or goals it improves frontoparietal function. Also trying to view mentally possible positive outcomes improves it’s function.

Frontal Cortex controls behavior and impulse control. It helps to regulate emotions and decision making and solve problems by balancing the two. It is involved in the retention of short term memory and being able to feel the rewards from task we have done or things we have accomplished. It also helps us to be aware of our environment and make accurate decisions based on the information we have taken in. Inhibited function causes poor judgment and bad decision making and lack of mood regulation. A person with damage to the frontal cortex will be more prone to breaking rules and crossing moral boundaries without feeling remorse. Those are the people who never apologize. This causes them to make frequent moral judgment errors in their decision making. They are more prone to fits of anger, violence, suicidal thinking, especially if there is increased stress. Low frontal cortex function causes a lack in the ability to focus and pay attention. During time of stress , depression or frustration they can become hyperactive and impulsive and make bad moral decisions. They have a hard time performing task when the decision involves something that requires them to determine what is right and what is wrong morally. They have difficulty distinguishing between right from wrong. They have difficulty controlling their thoughts and will tend to overthink things causing themselves to become more confused. It also is key in regulating information from other brain areas so stress will cause them to become very confused. Those with low frontal cortex function have an inhibited ability to fully connect with others. This also causes those with this type of damage to have a difficult time learning to drive or ride a bike. They also may run into door ways especially when stressed. I have met people like this and I noticed the quality of their life, their friends and relationships continually declined through their life. They hurt, lied to, betrayed , offended and wronged so many people that they figuratively burn all their bridges so have no one to turn to. So they have to accept what friends they can. Since the frontal cortex keeps us from acting recklessly by keeping our emotions and impulses under control, it prevents us from getting overwhelmed emotionally and doing reckless things. For example if it is functioning and we get overwhelmed and something annoys us we can usually think on it determine the importance and if it would be worth addressing or if it should be addressed. When the frontal cortex is not functioning properly and someone may annoy or offend us instead of having self control a person will lash out at someone and usually say or do things they should not. Damage to the frontal cortex can make it difficult for a person to control their emotions.

When the frontal cortex activity has gotten to low it can cause excess drowsiness, and they will not feel refreshed when they wake. They will have disrupted sleep and will be tired but have difficulty going to sleep. The mind can be trained to correct this. They also lose their ability to respond to environmental signals and lose spatial awareness causing them to lose motor function and become clumsy.

Those with low frontal cortex activity lack the ability to feel compassion, empathy, remorse or guilt. This can cause them to disassociate from people after a while because they only see their negative qualities and do not see their good qualities. This gets worse when they are under stress.

The frontal cortex allows us to adapt to changes in our environment and is needed for problem solving from the integration information taken in , and anticipatory problem solving and the performance of behavior based on them. Low frontal cortex activity causes decision bias. They tend to only focus on negative outcomes. It also effects their relationships because because they will only focus on their negative qualities and only recognize when the person is experiencing a negative emotion but not acknowledge when they are having a positive emotion. The bias thinking caused by this caused them to not be open to suggestions or alternative solutions to problems. They sometimes will make similar mistakes repeatedly. They focus on the possible negative outcome and lack the ability to imagine the positive outcome of things.

Those with frontal cortex dysfunction have problems with planning for things based on past memories and lack the ability to modify strategies or behavior when solving problems. They have difficulty paying attention to detail, and staying focused to complete a task. This causes them to make errors in decision making. This causes them to make poor decisions when making friends because they will make judgment errors about the person. They are unaware of deception and can be easily deceived. This can get them involved in bad decisions from not being aware of what they are getting involved in. They lack of impulse control can cause them to make immoral decisions or break rules that can cause them more stress adding to their mental dysfunction.

Those who have low frontal cortex function do not feel remorse or guilt for wrong doing. So if they have an angry outburst, betray someone, treat them poorly, or get violent with them they will not feel remorse or guilt these people do not apologize unless it is beneficial for them to. The have a tendency to manipulate people and use them to achieve instant gratification. They also will form many friendships in the believe that one of they will eventually bring them happiness. Since they only focus on the negative aspects of people they eventually start to be disassociated from people and will seek out a new friend. They experience frequent episodes of anger , depression and even suicidal thoughts. They tend to make decision based on instant gratification and cannot process the thoughts to determine what the long term outcomes could be. This causes them to make decision that can cause them to negatively impact their lives or others lives. Since the have low willpower they can be prone to making bad moral decisions without feeling remorse or guilt.

Those with low frontal cortex function will lack motivation and social flexibility they will repeatedly seek out people with certain qualities.

Low frontal cortex activity can cause high glutamate and low GABA levels which can cause the inability to sleep or get sleep that is refreshing. They also can experience frequent and severe headaches, anxiety, excess fear, depression, because excess glutamate has excitotoxic effects on the brain. Low GABA causes depression. This can cause suicidal thoughts and increased pain from the damage it causes to the cannabinoid receptors. Over time if this continues the brain becomes conditioned to make decisions based on fear which causes bad decision making.

Low frontal cortex activity can cause excess hunger and the person will not experience satiety after eating. The low ATP production from damage to the mitochondria and high adrenal activation can cause obeisty and severe fatigue. Those with low prefrontal cortex activity lack shyness because of the lack of inhibition. They have a tendency to be hypersexually active, hyperoralty, they will stick inappropriate things in their mouths.

Some with low prefrontal cortex activity tend to explore their environment with tactile exploration(touching or handling). This enhances prefrontal cortex function. , improves learning ability and problem solving. It increases tolerance to stress, reduces pain and increases cardiovascular health. Things such as working with the hands, building things, painting, drawing, knitting, making pottery, has been shown to improve prefrontal cortex function and over all brain health. This also improves those with low prefrontal cortex function to be able to properly bond with others. Often times because of their apathy and lack of motivation it will cause them to not want to do these things. But studies have shown if they force them to it improves frontal cortex health which improves mood, improves their positive outlook on things and increases their ability to handle stress.

This can also cause schizophrenia, and bipolarism when it becomes more severe. Even if they change their diet studies have shown of they do not seek professional help with someone experienced with retraining the mind successful recovery from thipsychosis s is very very low.

Some bacteria that increase GABA can improve overall brain health , the feeling of well being and improve sleep. Some strains stimulate the release and production of GABA in the brain. The ones that produce GABA prevent excess glutamate which in excess is an excitotoxin to the brain and neurons. munciniphila, Lactobacillus rhanmosus, L rhamnosus GG, L planatarum, L bulguricus, L brevis, L buchneri, L rossiae, L holgardii and Bifidobacterium dentium produces GABA. Also Bacillus fragilis, Bacteroides ovatus, Bacteroides fragilis, , Lactococcus species, and Alistipes species increases GABA. These also increase GABA receptor responsiveness. Overgrowth of Ruminococcus species and Fusobacterium species can cause low levels of GABA and damage the brain.

Probiotics that can increase the feeling of well being are Lactobacillus gasseri and L helviticus.

Improving vagus nerve health also improves the function of the prefrontal cortex and overall brain health. Humming and singing improves vagus nerve health. Also bifidobacterium longhum improves brain health.

Extinction training improves frontal cortex function and activity. Improves long term memory. Extinction trying involved writing down a positive future story full of optimism. Do not get caught up in hateful talk or gossip. Expressing gratitude improves frontal cortex function. Laughing increase prefrontal cortex function. Doing acts of kindness improves it’s function. Learning a new skill improves it’s function. Mindful meditation increases it’s function. Doing small task even when you do not want to increases hippocampus function.

Insular cortes (insula) helps to regulate emotion it can become atrophied especially in women who experience sexual abuse as a child. It is involved in emotions such as empathy, compassion, taste, motor control, self-awareness cognitive function, interpersonal experiences (social connectiveness). It is also involved in regulation of homeostatic emotions such as hunger , pain , fatigue, and thirst and blood pressure regulation during and after exercise. Its functions include compassion and empathy, taste, perception, motor control, self-awareness, cognitive functioning, and interpersonal experience. It is involved in cognitive awareness of your body and it’s functions. This gives us the ability to realize when something wrong in the body and respond. Reduced gray matter from the traumatic event reduces it’s function and can cause it to atrophy. The insula is where one imagines pain when seeing images of painful events and thinking about it happening to one’s own body. Other function insula is our perception of things such as passive listening to music, laughter, and crying, empathy and compassion, and language. Studies have shown when it is atrophied it can heal. Damage to the insula can cause vertigo and loss of balance. Chronic stress and increased cortisol levels which can be caused by health problems causes insula atrophy. Those with inhibited insula will cross moral boundaries that are not accepted as be normal like having sex with many people on impulse. They tend to break rules and moral boundaries.

Associative learning is the process by which a person or learns an association between two stimuli or events. In other words it is involved in the punish reward learning in the brain. When the insulin is atrophied this is inhibited and they will not learn or even recognize the possible negative outcomes of their actions. The also cannot visualize possible positive outcomes. It is also observed in observational learning especially when observing people. Through play, children learn social skills such as sharing and collaboration. Children develop emotional skills such as learning to deal with the emotion of anger, through play activities. Those who experienced trauma young have a reduced ability to acquire these types of skills.

Those with low insula function have an inhibited ability to feel empathy, and understand normal moral violations. It is also involved in normal emotional processing low function cause cause a loss in the feeling of well being, depression, anxiety. Loss of function can also inhibit the bodies ability to have an orgasm. It is involved in having a balanced anger, pain, happiness, and sadness response. It’s low function can cause a loss of this ability which can cause someone to feel disassociated from themselves and others.

It helps to maintain focus so someone does not make careless errors. Loss of insula function cause also cause a loss of language skills. The low ATP production from the increased adrenal hormones causes the energy supply to the brain to be blunted. This causes the insula to atrophy. Insula atrophy causes excess apathy and lack of motivation. When more severe it can cause visual hallucinations. Low insula function causes apathy motivation , loss of ability to feel compassion, empathy and the ability to forgive others. It can cause increased anger, and increased tendency towards violence. This is why those with Alzheimer’s can been calm and then have a sudden episode of violent actions. They have atrophied insula.

When function is severely inhibited a person can develop psychosis. A person will have difficulty determining what is real and what is not real. When this occurs they usually develop problems with sleep and will socially withdraw. They will develop beliefs that will not change not matter how solid the evidence is you present them with. They will ignore it and get angry often times lashing out at the person who presented the evidence. They will misidentify objects and persons. They can be prone to getting lost when driving because of this. They have a decreased response to external stimuli. Mothers with low insula function will often times ignore a crying baby, neglect them and even abuse them. They also lose the ability to feel pleasure so they can suffer from severe depression. They also suffer from severe cognitive decline. It is believe that insula atrophy contributes to Parkinson’s disease. Those with insula atrophy have an increased disgust towards things such as foods and people. Insula atrophy can cause obesity and fatigue. The insula is responsible for learning from painful experiences. It is why we remember them so vividly. Because of this we learn from painful experiences. If we cannot do anything about it we learn how to better deal with it. If it was because of an event that happened from a decision we made then we learn how to avoid those types of situations or adjust our behavior. Those with low insula function will have a reduced ability to do this so will not learn from mistakes that may have brought them pain. Often times they will make the same bad decision they can cause them more pain and even endanger them. Those with low insula function will often times repeatedly put themselves in situations were they can be harmed. Damage to the insula causes a person not to be afraid of future pain. This can cause them to make decisions that can put them in danger. I suspect that this may occur to prevent them from recalling the traumatic experience. They may have taught their brains to resist insular activation because when activated they would remember the traumatic event. The insula processes love, hate, disgust, pain, sadness, and happiness. From an anatomical perspective. So the insular is how we feel the physical effects of emotion. Because a persons with insula inhibition cannot feel the physical effects of things that make them happy, of love, hate or other emotions they do not learn and adapt. This causes them to make many errors in their relationships. This means they will not take the appropriate actions when they experience and emotion. Those with insula dysfunction will usually develop cardiovascular disease. When the insular is not functioning properly a person will have difficulty processing sound, images they see, and they will not experience the gratification from eating something they like because their sense of taste, smell and the feeling of happiness that a person would normally get is inhibited. Because those with insla dysfunction do not feel the physical effects of love they will base their decisions mostly on rationalizing which causes them often times make hurtful decisions because they do not feel empathy and compassion. This can cause their relationships to be stressful because they often times hurt people emotionally and do not feel remorse or empathy. These often times go through man friends or relationships.

Insula helps to maintain focus so those with low insula activity can make careless decisions that cause themselves or other harmed emotionally or even physically. Those with low insula activity can be prone to addiction to drugs and alcohol. Low insula function makes a person feel more vulnerable. Low insula function causes a persons ability to feel content or satisfaction when they have completed a task. Those with low insula function are not aware of their bodies so can get injured, or have an illness and not realize it until they are very sick. When the insula is damaged a person will have difficulty reciprocating trust. Normally when the insula is working correctly a person will reciprocate trust when it is warranted and without trust when it is not. Those with low insula function have a difficult time trusting others which effects there relationships. The insula is responsible for learning from painful experiences. It is why we remember them so vividly.

Mindfulness training improves the health of the insula. Meditating on possible positive outcomes of things can improve function of the insula. Performing task even when you do not desire to improves the health of the insula. Increasing oxygen with diaphragmatic breathing improves function of the insula and other areas of the brain. Improving sleep quality improves function of the insula. Also getting therapy to retrain the brain improves function of the insula. Excess alcohol consumption decreases insula function this is why alcoholic experience depression a lot. The insula shapes our belief system and when it is not functioning we can have a distorted beliefs from the inability to look at things objectively and unbiased. Helping others and do acts of kindness improves insula function. Extinction trying also involves recognizing when we are felling a bad or inappropriate thought and learning to teach our minds to not dwell on it. To think of more positive things. Over time those with low frontal cortex activity can become condition to respond a certain way whether good or bad. They need to learn to be aware when that is happening and learn the appropriate way to respond. Extinction training helps prevent the reactivation of fear caused by the past trauma.

With sleep got to bed at the same time whether you go to sleep or not it trains the body that is time to sleep. Studies have shown watching the sun set improves sleep quality. Thinking about positive things improves sleep quality. Those with prefrontal cortex dysregulation tend to reward themelves with bad behavior , be aware of this and work to replace it with more appropriate behavior that will not cause bad decisions and bring more stress on oneself.

People with damaged insula rarely apologize unless it will benefit them because they do not feel guilt or remorse.

The hippocampus- there are two in the brain one on the left and one on the right side of the brain. In those who experience excess trauma or stress especially female children of sexual abuse they have upregulated hippocampus levels. This has been found to be true in PTSD also. It is involved in the brains ability to stabilize short term memory-to long term memory. It is involved in spatial awareness which is awareness of our surrounding which helps us to navigate. Over activation for to long can cause a person to lose their ability to navigate. Increased levels caus loss of short term memory and disorientation. It causes the loss in the ability to recall the recent past, but we maintain long term memory. It is sensitive to conflict. When there is one goal that has both positive and negative outcomes for example getting married the increased hippocampus activation will make it difficult for the person to make a decision. This can cause someone to make errors in decision making if it is dysfunctional. Depression from other damaged to the brain can damage the hippocampus. The hippocampus is also involved in our ability to feel empathy and be creative. In victims of sexual assault the hippocampus is upregulated in some areas but atrophied in others inhibiting it’s ability to receive and send signals to other areas of the brain. This causes them to be insecure because they lose the ability to establish a stable, realistic and cohesive sense of self. So it is involved in our emotional state and identity. It makes us lose the sense of who we are when it is damaged. Cognitive behavior therapy has been shown to improve it’s function. Therapy to teach someone how to overcome depression. If the hippocampus is dysfunctional for too long a person can develop diabetes. Those with hippocampus damage will have no perception of self identity so will try to develop their identity by imitating others. They also may get lost when traveling. Damage to they hippocampus can increase a person’s willingness to lie. Some have became sexually perverted when their hippocampus has been damaged.

Reveratrol in grape seed extract improves hippocampus function. DIM (diindolymethane) improves hippocampus function. Carbohydrate deficiency can cause hippocampus dysfunction. Exercise increases hippocampus function even aerobics. These should mostly come from more complex carbohydrates and fruit. Most B vitamins improve hippocampus function. Dietary yeast can improve hippocampus function. Avoid stress try to learn to be more aware of the fact you have injury to the brain and are prone to making bad decisions and take the time to things them threw because the added stress from making a bad decision will harm the hippocampus. When the hippocampus is dysfunctional it can cause thiamine to become deficient. This can cause soreness in the ribs and sternum. It causes inflammaiton in connective tissue in the body. Learning new things has been shown to improve hippocampus function. Whole grains, nuts , and seeds improve hippocampus function. Mindful meditation improves hippocampus function. Doing puzzles and memorization games increases hippocampus function. Playing strategy type games improves hippocampus function. Eating fatty fish and berries improves hippocampus function. Avoid bad fats especially transfats that damage the brain. Practicing optimism, gratitude can help to improve hippocampus function. Working on having a more positive view of oneself improves hippocampus function. Write down things you like about yourself. I did the and it does help but it took a while for me to get the hang of it. Gotu kola can improve hippocampus health. Rhodiola, Panax gensing, Lions mane mushroom, and gingko can improve hippocampus health. Damage to they hippocamus can increase a person’s willingness to lie. Some have became sexually perverted when their hippocampus has been damaged. Often times ones with a damaged hippocampus becomes disassociated from themselves and others, so will have no sense of self identity. So they do not really know who they are. In order to compensate they will imitate the behavior of others and often times becomes people pleasers. This is an attempt to develop who they are but it blinds them to their own qualities causing them frustration and depression.

Amydala- the frontal cortex loses it’s ability to decrease activation of the amydala so it is over activated in those who experience chronic stress, trauma, or have PTSD. It’s primary function is in processing memories, decision making and emotional response and emotional memories. It is involved in fear conditioning and it is where memories of fear are stored. It is involved in the fight or flight response and our response to pheromones. When functioning properly it improves our ability to retain memory. Exposure to chronic stress or trauma can damage the amydala causing it to become dysfunctional. It can be over activated in those who have experienced trauma this causes a loss of fear, hypersexuality, hyperorality (sticking in appropriate objects in ones mouth), It can also cause the loss in the ability to recognize familiar objects. When I had Lyme very bad I lost the ability to recognize my family for a while. I worried that this would not come back but it did heal and my memories came back. Mothers with damage to the amygdala lack maternal behavior towards children and often times will neglect them or physically abuse them. Fear canuses it upregulation and damage to other areas of the brain can cause increased fear. For it to function properly the frontal cortex needs to be healed. It is involved in facial recognition and emotional intelligence.

Increased expression causes increased sexual arousal and aggressive behavior. When a women is stressed they are effected differently they lose serotonin receptors in the brain which effects the amygdala and many other areas of the brain so to heal the amydala that would also need addressed. When there are low expression of serotonin it causes and increase in amydala expression which increases adrenal hormones. If it goes on for an extended period of time this can inhibit ATP production , cause insulin, and lectin resistance and cause issues with glucose regulation which farther damages the brain. This causes anxiety and increased violent behavior.

Doing acts of kindness and charity improves amydala function and improves memory. Meditation on positive things improves amygdala function. Psychiatric therapy to unlearn the fear response can help improve amydala function. Recognize when it is being triggered and take step to relax and learn to handle stress more positively. Like if a life changing event took place of course it will change our life dramatically but we could try and dwell on the things we will do to make our life happier in the future and how we will adapt in a positive way to the changes. When this happens we start judging ourselves and others which can damage the amydala. We need to learn to let things go and stop holding onto them. If we made and error we need to forgive ourselves and take steps to prevent making error in the future. Being aware of the short comings this causes can helps us be aware when we are putting ourselves in a situation we my make a bad decision. Imagining yourself happy and being kind actually helps to improve amygdala function. Often times those with upregulated amygdala will seek the approval of others. Learn to be happy with who you are and what your likes and dislikes are. We all of care things that make us who we are, often times we do not entirely lose them. Focus on those things. Like what you like and dislike. If we become people pleasers we lose our identity and can be manipulated into making bad decisions. When we start emulating others because we want to fit in or want to please them we lose who we are. This can increase damage to the amygdala. Increasing GABA also improves amydala function. Experiencing new things improves amydala function. I remember a friend in one of our Lyme groups on Facebook said she took up pottery making , the thought at the time because of my brain damage repulsed me. But she said it really helped heal her amydala. So I decided to learn to read research papers as my new thing to learn. Many friend on Facebook spent hours teaching me. It seemed like my amydala was not going to heal then one day it was like a light switch was flipped on and things started working again. It takes about three months based on research to for the amygdala to heal. This is about how long it took for me to heal.

The amygdala learns through experience and association. This improves it’s function. If we avoid tackling certain problems because of fears then the amydala will remain dysfunctional. We may have to start out slowly in dealing with them and as our experience and association improve the function of the amydala improves. For example if we got stung by a bee we could develop fear of bees. We can retrain our minds to see the experience differently, for example I do not get to upset when I get stung by bees because it was usually and error I made and the bee was only trying to protect itself or the colony. So I learn from it and try to be more aware and more cautious. Because bees serve many useful functions I do my best to try and not harm them again. So may develop a fear of bees if say they had been walking through a yard full of clover in their bare feet and got stung by a bee. The sight, of the bee, the clover or a busing of a bee can set of the fear and panic. In this instance exposure to what cause the fear will help to remove the fear. This also teaches us how to avoid getting stung by the bee again. Some psychotherapist have them visualize those things before they expose themselves. I do not know the effectiveness of this I have not found studies on it.

People tend to avoid things that make them anxious or cause fear this prevent their amydala from learning and adapting. Learning to be aware of that fear and exposing ourselves to it and and slowly learning how to control how effects us it can help the amygdala function better. The fear seem real and seems it cannot be changed but it can be. Doing things can help us to stop thinking negative thoughts and start being able to see things more positively. If it is not dealt with it effects peoples perspective of the world and others which effects their relationships negatively. Healing the amydala helps to prevent us from overthinking the past and or overthinking the future and viewing it in a negative way.

Some supplements that may help are tyrosine, bacopa, rhodiola, NAC N-acetylcysteine ) improves amygdala function. Omega 3 oils , ashwangha, magnesium, St John’s wort, P5P in the form of pyridoxal 5-posphate not more then 50mg improves amygdala function.Vitamin B12 and thiamine improve amydala function. Increasing endogenous cannabinoids, lemon balm, reducing oxidative stress and inflammation improves amygdala protection.

Precuneus- It is involved in mental imagery, concerning oneself. It is involved in daily memory formation, visual spatial recognition, the ability to observe surroundings and predict the most probable outcome and prepare a response. It coordinates mental images with visual images which helps with creative thoughts and solutions to problems. It is also involved in attention shifting. When it’s function is inhibited it will make it difficult for a person to shift their attention from one person to another or one things and another it can cause them confusion and brain fog. It is involved in the judgment of people as to whether we will show them compassion , empathy or whether we will forgive them or we will not. When precuneus function is inhibited the person shows less empathy, compassion and is less forgiving. It is also involved in response inhibition. Those with inhibited precuneus do not think about what their response will be , their response will be spontaneous and often times inappropriate or cause injury emotionally or physically to others, but because of the other brain injuries they usually do not see their error and will not feel remorse. The precuneus is also the main area of the brain that a person feels happiness so when not functioning properly a person’s ability to be happy will be inhibited. The precuneus is also involved in our ability to be respectful, considerate and polite.

Precuneus function can be improved with mindfulness thinking . We do not overthink the past or the future but try and focus on the present. We label thoughts and feeling in the body with and objective manor and do not judge them. This can help us to more clearly make the appropriate adjustments, especially if we have made a mistake. Instead of judging what has happen we could thing what have we learned from it and what step could I do to prevent the error again? We should not be self critical when we do this. Avoiding pain prevents the brain from learning to deal with it effectively. But by viewing the pain objectively our minds can learn from it and learn to adapt. Each time we deal with painful things our minds get more efficient and better at handling them. We have to accept and observe certain types of thoughts rather then judging and avoiding them. This helps us to be better at handling stress, anxiety and pain and improves our ability to relax. This also improves our relationships with others. We are better able to understand them and their feelings.

Those who have been sexually assaulted as a child, chronic stress can cause low nucleas accumbens function. Nucleas accumbens function is low in PTSD. Usually women who have been sexually assaulted as a child experience more severe inhibition of the nucleas accumbens.

Nucleas accumbens mediates emotional and motivational processing. It also modulates pleasure and reward processing. When it is deficient a person can lose the ability to few pleasure and reward for good deeds or finishing a task. This cause them to have a lack of motivation and be apathetic. It is also involved in associative learning. Meaning learning occurs based on Stimulus, the nucleas accumbens groups information into one associative memory for example when we think of a car we may have had in the past we do not just think of the headlamp but we think of the many aspects of the car we remember. Memory can be recalled based on association. When the nucleas accumbens is not functioning properly it can cause us to only recall negative memories and have difficulty remembering the good memories. We recall memories based on association. For example we learn to be satisfied when we doe something often times by the end result and the rewards that came from it like when we work and get a paycheck. We also learn from people complementing us and encouraging us when we do something good or when we have finished a task. This becomes inhibited when nucleas accumbens function is inhibited. This can also cause increased feeling of pain in the body when they experience stress, or trauma.

Low nucleas accumbens function causes bias thinking especially when they are stressed. Or if they are in a position were they have to make quick or unexpected decisions. They will not be open to new information or suggestions. Fear and anxiety may increase. Their minds have been conditioned for negative expectations and it is very difficult to break this cycle. Adding to it the stress can bring the traumatic experience back to memory causing flash back farther increasing the confusion and decision making. They lack the ability to adapt to changes and have a difficult time seeing possible positive outcomes they can only focus on the negative. The more threats they perceive , which when the nucleas accumbens is inhibited they can be exaggerated the more difficult their decisions making becomes. This also increases neurological pain and fatigue even more. When stress is increased they can become emotionally detached from people and their environment. If severe enough they can develop psychosis or borderline personality disorder.

Low nucleas accumbens function causes negative recall bias. It is caused by the amydalla becoming over activated by the low nucleas accumbens function. This will cause someone to only see bad even when something very positive is present. For example if they had a friend and they had many good times with the friend but the friend said something to disturb them and make them angry . They will not focus on the many good times but the one time the friend did something negative. Because of this they can start categorizing people negatively and labeling them and start thinking of them as losers, failures or jerks. This caused them to constantly seek new friends and when this occurs again they start thinking negatively of the friend and will negatively categorize and label them and think negative thoughts about them. They can even get disgusted by them. This is a protective mechanism but is over exaggerated in those with low nucleas accumbens function. This causes their interpersonal relationships to be unstable. They also develop sleep disorders. They usually experience severe depression, anxiety and could experience suicidal thoughts.

They will have severe memory gaps and will not remember things they have done. There was once a woman having sex cheating on her husband did not remember. When her mind healed she started to remember. It is caused by basal forebrain amnesia. I wonder if the guilt, or thoughts of the consequences increased the stress causing the loss of memory. It can also lead to insecurities, sadness, anger, bitterness, and many other negative emotions.

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/271754599_Basal_Forebrain_Amnesia

Those with low nucleas accumbens function have a maladaptive response to stress. They will have a tendency to put task off, or try to avoid things that cause them stress. They will do things to distract themselves like surfing the internet or getting on social media. Or they may sit and daydream.

If the damage gets severe enough it can cause people to develop split personality disorder, develop OCD

Memory extinction therapy improves the function of the nucleas accumbens. Those who have been traumatized learn to change thinking by accepting new data and ideas. Also exposure therapy helps improve nucleas accumbens health, which improves the ability to adapt, take in new information, and improve flexibility in thinking.

Learning to celebrate small victories can help improve nucleas accumbens function. Using too much negative wording can damage the nucleas accumbens. For example if we make a mistake we should not have thoughts we are stupid. We could think I wish we would have made a better decision, I what can I learn from this so I can avoid the same mistake in the future. If we acted inappropriately instead of thinking I am a jerk. That was not a good way to react, I will work on correcting that. When we make errors dwell on how we can take what we learned in apply it in the future so we do not make future errors. Saying positive things to others and complimenting them improves the health of the nucleas accumbens. Trying to find humor in some situations can improve the function of the nucleas accumbens.

When faced with new task that is difficult we should not think this is difficult. If we think we are learning something new and dwell on the benefits of learning it we improve nucleas accumbens health.

Often times when the nucleas accumbens is deficient a person will feel like they are going to have a nervous break down. Things we endure build our ability to endure stress by training our brain and providing memories that make it easier to make decisions based on what we learned. This improves the function of many brain regions and makes us more flexible so we can move forward.

The bias thinking can be overcome by being open to new ideas, information or suggestions. This improves the ability to adapt our thinking and be more flexible in our thinking which can improve our ability to make decisions and decrease errors made in decision making.

Often times the dopamine receptors become damaged and are non responsive especially in children who have been sexually molested or abused and those who have PTSD. Those who have tick born illness often times have severely damaged dopamine receptors. Toxins such as mercury and other heavy metals can damage the dopamine and other receptors in the brain making them non responsive. When this occurs it will have no effect on the brain when dopamine is increased. Sometimes the body tries to increase dopamine to try and compensate but because the receptor in the brain are not able to respond to the dopamine it ends up causing health issues throughout the body. Damage to the dopamine receptors if not addressed can cause Parkinson’s disease. Low dopamine can cause someone to be prone to drug and alcohol abuse. Impaired dopamine cause a person to have a feeling of reward for things they accomplish. Have an impaired ability to avoid bad situations , learn from errors and from being punished. This causes them to be impulsive and make the same types of errors repeatedly. The lack of impulse control can cause some to become obese from eating unhealthy foods. Those with low dopamine receptor response will experience extreme sadness, will be apathetic, lack motivation, and they will have cold hands and feet. Because those with low dopamine receptor activity do not learn from post errors, and past dangers they put themselves in they fail to learn from the mistakes and continue to make the same decisions and put themselves in bad situations. They often times will be thrill seekers and deliberately do things in an attempt to increase dopamine. Those with low dopamine responsiveness are unable to learn how to avoid and even escape bad situations, sometimes they are not able to identify when they have put themselves in a bad situations. They will not avoid them, so will constantly do things that negatively impact their health, and even put their life in danger. Those with low dopamine will have a low sex drive, and will not feel gratifications from sex. Those with high dopamine will have an extremely increased sex drive. Those who’s dopamine receptors are damaged will have feelings of hopelessness. Those who have a damaged dopamine system may engage in addictive or taboo behavior in and attempt to increase dopamine because they do not feel the reward that others feel that having a functional dopamine system. For example people who get addicted to gambling often times have a damaged dopamine system. Low dopamine can cause symptoms similar to high serotonin. Low dopamine can cause symptoms similar to high serotonin. A person will get muscle tremors and feel muscle pain. Stiffness and difficulty moving. They will have loss of balance and disturbed sleep patterns. Excess dopamine can actually get someone to get stuck in fight or flight mode. Excess dopamine can cause salt cravings because it cause cause the body to remove too much salt. Low dopamine cause cause high insulin levels and high dopamine reduces insulin. When a person has the correct dopamine levels they will feel alert, focused , happy and more motivated.

Dopamine is what gives you the sense of satisfaction from doing task or completing something. Low dopamine gives you feeling of not being gratified. If dopamine levels are high it will make it seem like time is going slow but when dopamine levels are low and serotonin levels are high it will make a person have no sense of time and they will not be able to perceive if 15 minutes passed or 8 hours so they often times will be late for things. Low dopamine receptor response can make a person feel tired and they may lack motivation

High hydrogen sulfide levels inhibits the break down of dopamine. But it increases oxidative stress so would cause the lose of dopamine receptor so the high dopamine would be ineffective. Those with high H2S levels will have high serotonin, and low adrenal hormone levels. A deficiency in the methanogens , inflammation, oxidative stress, high mercury levels, fluorquinolone injury or eating foods high in glyphosate can cause high hydrogen sulfide levels.

Low dopamine can inhibit ATP production causing obesity and fatigue. Low ATP farther decreases dopamine and dopamine receptors because the oxidative stress causes dopamine to be oxidized and dopamine receptors to become damage. Increasing ATP, AMPK activators helps.

Excess inflammation and excess oxidative stress, or even stress can cause the to release dopamine instead of norepinephrine or epinephrine. This will cause anxiety and increased sensitivity to pain.

Pathogenic clostridium spp alters dopamine metabolism and causes damage to the dopamine receptors. This will make a person have manic behavior and be bipolar. Tyrosine is needed to produce dopamine. A lack of protein in the diet can cause low dopamine.

Oxidative stress and systemic inflammation can be caused by infection, toxins and leaky or inflamed gut, causes a loss of dopamine receptors. If a person loses dopamine receptors then they will not experience the sense of gratification when they accomplish things. Leaky gut causes high inflammation levels and high levels of lipopolysaccharides (endotoxins) which damage the dopamine receptors and causes high a-synuclein levels. A-synuclein causes Parkinson’s disease. High levels of unconjugated bile acid also cause high a-synuclein levels. This is cause by a lack of microbes that conjugates bile acid. A-synuclein build up in the brain blocking receptors in the brain especially the dopamine receptors.

Berberine containing herbs such as bayberry increases dopamine production by the microbes in the gut. But if the dopamine receptors are damaged increasing dopamine will not help. Balance is key. Excess dopamine and serotonin can have negative effects on health it is best to increase receptors to improve sensitivity to dopamine.

Butyrate producing microbes prevents the loss of dopamine receptors.

GLP-1 regulated by our gut microbes increases dopamine signaling in the brain, increases dopamine recycling and dopamine storage capacity.

Lactobacillus planatarum prevents oxidative stress reducing dopamine receptor loss.

Lactobacillus buchneri and Ruminococcus albus reduces oxidative stress which prevents dopamine receptor loss.

IFN-a and inflammatory cytokine increases under stress, infection, gut inflammation or leaky gut. It cause loss of dopamine receptors.

Akkermansia in low levels actually protects from leaky gut preventing loss of dopamine receptors but it’s overgrowth causes leaky gut causing dopamine receptor damage.

Most lactobacillus increases dopamine and improve adrenal function but if oxidative stress and inflammation is not addressed it will not mater because the receptors needed will be damaged making a person insensitive to the effects of dopamine and other catecholamines. They also will but insensitive to the effects of adrenal hormones mentally.

L rhanmosus increases IFG1. L rhamnosus prevents the break down of dopamine so increases it’s levels It inhibits MAO-B.

L planatarum produces acetylcholine from choline. Acetylcholine regulates neurotransmitters like dopamine. It protects against Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. L planatrarum increases butyrate producing microbes. Butyrate protects the brain preventing loss of dopamine receptors. L casei shiroto, Bifidobacterium longum, also increases the butyrate producing microbes in the gut. Those who have high levels of H2S would not benefit from the effects of butyrate because hydrogen sulfide blocks the beneficial effects of butyrate. As a matter of fact in most test results I see often times those having issues with dopamine have high H2S levels and high butyrate levels. The levels of dopamine in their brains is usually high but they have a loss of dopamine receptors so do not reap the benefits of the dopamine. Bifidobacrterium infantis

It improves tryptophan metabolism. It improves melatonin, dopamine and serotonin levels.

Eubacterium Sp, Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, commensal Clostridium, Flavonifractor plautii

, Butyriciococcus , Bacteroides nordii , Anaerostipes species, produces butyrate.

Some Prevotella produces butyrate and conjugates bile acids which helps prevent loss of dopamine and dopamine receptors. Prevotella is a double edged sword and needs balanced just like dopamine does because excess dopamine will cause a Prevotella overgrowth. So if you see a Prevotella overgrowth the person most likely has excess dopamine.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus DR7 is found in cows milk. It upregulates the tryptophan and serrotonin pathways and prevents tryptophan metabolism shunting to the kyneurine pathway which prevents anxiety , depression and mood swings. It increases the microbes that help to balance serotonin and dopamine in the body.

Bifidobacterium animalis reduces oxidative stress. It inhibits MAO. This increases feel good hormones and dopamine but could increase tyramine so those with low BH4 levels or inhibited beta oxidation need to correct those before taking this one. B animalis increases Akkersmansia. Reduces H pylori.

Bifidobacterium infantis improves melatonin, dopamine and serotonin levels. Helps restore healthy HPA axis function which would help with anxiety and Addison’s disease. Reduces pain and inflammation throughout the body.

Staphylococcus species produce dopamine. They can also convert L-dopa to dopamine. Staphylococcus produces dopamine from tyrosine and L-dopa. Staphylococcus produces most of the dopamine needed in the body.

Bacillus cereus produces dopamine. Fifty percent of dopamine is produced in the gut.

Bacillus subtillus produces GABA , ncreases dopamine and noradrenalin. It should not be taken alone but should be taken with Bacillus coagulans to prevent it causing health issues.

Bacillus mycoides increases dopamine and noradrenalin

Pathogenic streptococcus can increase serotonin. This can cause tryptophan issues and cause high dopamine levels.

Lactococcus species produces high amounts of dopamine

Ruminococcus spp decreases dopamine

Enterococcus faecalis produces dopamine

These things increase dopamine receptors:

Uridine expecially in the form of cytidine

inotsitol produce by commensal E coli

Forskolin

Lavender

Caffeine in moderation

Testosterone

Cordalis

sunlight and far infrared

Acetyl L-carnitine

Lobelia increases dopamine receptors.

Magnesium

L-threonate

Cordyceps mushroom

Meditation

Exercise

Resisting urges especially ones involving addiction.

Doing puzzles or hobbies such as coloring, artwork, word puzzles.

Doing task we do not like to do.

Velvet bean increases dopamine but can damage dopamine receptors.

Increasing BDNF increases dopamine receptors. Lions mane mushroom, HDAC inhibitors such as increasing butyrate producing gut bacteria, forskilin, valproic acid, and niacinamide increases BDNF.

Things that contain scopoletin prevent the oxidation of dopamine to toxic dopamine analogues. Deadly belladonna, stinging nettles, chicory, passion flower, black haw, fenugreek, vinegar, and dandelion coffee contain scopoletin.

oleic acid (omega 9 oil) increases dopamine and oxytocin it is found in butter, olive oil, free range beef fat, avocado oil, most nuts, pumpkin and chia seeds, cheese and eggs.

Agmatine increases dopamine receptors. Foods that contain it are soy sauce, coffee, flour, sauerkraut, miso, fish oil and oily fish, milk kefir, aged white cheeses and coffee.

In order for BH4 to function properly vitamin C is needed, nitric oxide is needed, vitamins B1, B2, B3, SAMe, are needed. Also PQQ can help improve BH4 function. Low ATP levels can cause BH4 dysfunction D-ribose, niacinamide, CoQ10 can help to increase ATP levels. Betaine also known as TMG (trimethylglycine) can help to recycle metabolites needed for proper BH4 function. Issues causing low oxygen or iron dysfunction or deficiency need addressed because iron and oxygen is needed for proper BH4 function. BH4 increases dopamine release in the brain and stimulate VMAT2. VMAT2 is called the God receptor because it is stimulated when people pray or are involved in worship. When VMAT2 function is lost people lose their connectivity to God and other people. Vaccines are known for damaging the VMAT2 receptor. Eating GMOs, foods high in glyphosate and fluoroquinolone drugs can also damage the VMAT2 receptor.

If a person is experiencing any issues with neurotransmitters it would probably be wise to use antioxidants, NRF2 activators and do and anti-inflammatory diet along with taking anti-inflammatory herbs.

Trimethylamine speeds up aging of the brain this can be caused by low levels of methanogens in the gut or high levels of trimethylamine producing microbes in the gut. TMAO damages many neurons and receptors in the brain. Eubacterium spp also help to prevent high TMAO levels. Increased Prevotella levels can increase TMAO. Faecalibacterium prausnitzii helps reduce TMAO. Pathogenic Clostridium spp can increase TMAO levels. Pathogenic Eschericha spp can cause high TMAO levels. Eschericha Coli nissle and other commensal E coli actually prevent high TMAO levels. Enterococcus faecalis reduces TMAO levels. Methanobrevibacter smithii reduces TMAO. Colinsella spp. increases TMAO . Providencia rettgeri . Methanomassillicoccus coccus , Methanomassillicoccus luminylensis , Methanomicrococcus blatticola , Methanosphaera stadtmanae , Methanobrevibacter smithii , Methanomassiliicoccus intestinalis , Methanomethylophilus alvus prevent high H2S and high TMAO levels. Anaerotruncus spp, Anaerococcus species , Romboutsia spp, Lachnoclostridium sp , Tenericutes spp, Erysipelatoclostridium spp,. bdellovibrio bacteriovorus spp , Mica vibrio aeruginosavorous , Hugatella spp, produce Trimethylamine, so if overgrown they can cause high TMAO levels or if deficie

Before I discuss GABA I do need to warn about something. Those who have trauma from being molested by a trusted figure such as a family member or a religious figure with have many other issues and GABA could actually make them worse because their NMDA receptore is upregulated. Chronic stress and other trauma can also cause this to occur so it would be best to try and reduce inflammation and oxidative stress and heal the brain and let GABA balance out by supporting the body nutritionally. Ones who have been molested by a trusted figure will suffer from disassociation. Also their insula will have low function these ones cannot feel the physical effects of emotion. They often times have selective amnesia or dissociative amnesia. They will develop disassociative disorder. Children are much more prone to this. Dissociative amnesia is where a person cannot remember important information about their life. This can include their life history and or their identity. This also occurs when a person experiences chronic stress or trauma. They will remember most of a day but there will be specific parts they cannot remember. These things things occur more severely in children who have been molested by someone who was a trusted figure because they have to maintain two diametrically opposing views of the person who assaulted them.

GABA (gamma-amino butyric acid) Mild stress can activate the GABA receptors but chronic stress inhibits them. GABA helps the cells in the brain communicate. GABA reduces stress, increases relaxation, reduces pain and improves sleep quality. GABA prevents over activation of the sympathetic nervous system. Low GABA can chronic stress from upactivtion of the sympathetic nervous system. Insomnia and disrupted sleep pattern. Low GABA activity can effect memory, make it difficult to consenstrate, cause muscle pain, and headaches. High GABA can cause tingling or flushing, constipation, burning throat, muscle weakness, fatigue, shortness of breath. High levels usually occur from supplementing with GABA. GABA helps to prevent over activation of the HPA by acting on other areas of the brain that are effected by adrenal hormones. It helps break the cycle by calming those areas. GABA is produced from glutamate and pyridoxal 5-phosphate a form of vitamin B produced in the body. Chronic stress , infection, toxins especially glyphosate , mercury and fluoroquinolone drugs can inhibit vitamin B6 conversion to P5P. This can cause glutamate to build up in the brain. Glutamate is excitotoxic to the brain in high levels and can cause an over activation of different areas of the brain and inhibit other areas. It especially activated the HPA and can cause someone to get stuck in fight or flight mode. Often time those who experienced trauma , chronic stress or have PTSD have high glutamate levels and low GABA levels. GABA can also be produced from putrescene by DAO enzymes. Taking GABA supplements in excess can cause digestive upset, muscle weakness, shortness of breath and low blood pressure. Taurine can be consumed to increase GABA receptor activity. Also magnesium bind to GABA receptors improving their sensitivity to GABA. L-theanine I am not comfortable with because it increases GABA, dopamine and serotonin. High dopamine can cause hyper sexuality. KAVA increases GABA levels in the brain. Gingko improves function of the GABA receptors. Magnolia bark binds to the GABA receptors which have very similar effects as GABA. Yoga has been found to increase GABA. Often time in those who experience chronic stress, trauma have PTSD or are chronically ill ATP production and the citric acid cycle are inhibited this inhibits the bodies ability to produce GABA from glutamate and can cause excess glutamate levels. I will discuss believe the symptoms of high glutamate. Low GABA levels can cause obesity.

GABA improves neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity is the brains ability to mold, reshape, and alter itself by by creating new neurons and neural networks. In those who experienced trauma as a child their neural networks are severely damaged. They are more prone to developing Azlheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Neurplasticity helps us adapt to stress, changes in environment, and learn new things. Scientist used to think the brain stopped growing once someone became and adult they have since learned that the brain continues to grow and adapt throughout life. They have also learned in healthy elderly their brains have become more efficient at taking in information and adapting. This is why they do not get stressed as easily. This is because of the memories they can access and use to solve problems. Neuroplasticity is also what gives us the ability to adapt to changes and learn new things. Neuroplasticity gives us the ability to recovers from stressful events, trauma, or set backs in life, and recover from fear based memories. Neuroplasticity is also how the body adapts when a limb is injured. For example if one of our legs was injured we would compensated by limping and putting more weight on the healthy leg so the injured one could heal.

Low frontal cortex activity from trauma, stress, or PTSD can cause high glutamate and low GABA levels which can cause the inability to sleep or get sleep that is refreshing. The person can experience frequent and severe headaches, anxiety, excess fear, depression, because excess glutamate has excitotoxic effects on the brain. Low GABA causes depression. This can cause suicidal thoughts and increased pain from the damage it causes to the cannabinoid receptors. Over time if this continues the brain becomes conditioned to make decisions based on fear which causes bad decision making. Low GABA cause fear or panic for no reason, anxiety, an overwhelming sense of fear or apprehension, inability to cope with stress, restlessness a person may be tired but cannot sleep, they will not be able to stay focused so their attention will jump from one things to another, sudden outburst of anger even for little things that most would not get angry about, excessive worrying they will worry about little things that most would not worry about and over think them, they may start developing phobias, when more severe they my develop tics throughout the body. Such as nose sniffing, shoulder shrugging, neck jerking, increased blinking, some may develop vocal tics. Low GABA also increases a person’s sensitivity to light , sound, and chemicals. Low GABA can cause blurred vision, tingling and numbness in extremities, slowed muscle reaction, muscle tension and weakness, and muscle pain such as found in fibromyalgia. It effects the digestive system also. When GABA is low it can cause vomiting. It can cause a person to alternate between diarrhea and constipation. It can also cause tachychardia resulting in could hands and feet. It can effect breathing because low GABA can induce asthma like symptoms, coughing or choking. Women may experience frequent urination, increased menstrual bleeding especially if they skip meals. Low GABA can also cause night sweats.

GABA increases growth hormones showing GABA supplementation may enter the brain through the pituitary. Low GABA can cause irregular heart beats. Just as low dopamine can cause carbohydrate cravings low GABA can also cause carbohydrate cravings.

GABA is also produced in the pancreas which helps to reduces it’s production of glucagon so can help protect the body from diabetes. It also promotes the replication and improves function of pancreatic B-cells. GABA also promotes the conversion of A-cells to B-cells.

There are probiotics we can take to increase GABA levels but studies have shown only a small amount of GABA from supplements and our gut microbes enter the brain. It does increase GABA levels but the amount it increases them are limited. What taking probiotics do that produce GABA is they prevent high glutamine levels because they use glutamine to prodce GABA. Also the GABA they produce would improve pancreatic health. Strains of bacteria that increase GABA can improve overall brain health , the feeling of well being and improve sleep. Akkermansia munciniphila, Lactobacillus rhanmosus, L rhamnosus GG, L planatarum, L bulguricus, L brevis, L buchneri, L rossiae, L holgardii and Bifidobacterium dentium produces GABA.

There are foods that contain GABA such as GABA-rich foods include cruciferous vegetables, beans, peas, tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, sprouted grains, rice especially brown rice, fermented foods , oolong and white tea.

Lemon Balm, and Rhodiola increases GABA activity in the brain.

Nutrients that help to reuduce glutamate levels and increase GABA are P5P no more then 50 mg, magnesium, zinc picolinate, taurine, glycine, vitamin C, selenium and L-lysine.

Those who have developed chronic fatigue and have a problem with gaining too much weight my have developed inhibited OXPHOS in mitochondria or their citric acid cycle has become dysfunctional. This can inhibit the bodies ability to produce GABA. If this occurs they will need to correct those issues in order to restore homeostasis.

One sign that GABA levels are increasing is some aging in the skin may be reversed because it increases growth hormones and improves collagen production in the body.

Trauma, chronic stress, and PTSD alters the cholinergic system causing it’s over expression. This causes increased acetylcholine and increased acetylcholine receptor activity. Acetylcholine is involved in control of motor function in our muscles. Acetylcholine is involved in arousal, attension, motivation and memory. Constant activation can start making the acetylcholine receptors non responsive. Supplementing does not increase brain acetylcholine levels because it cannot cross the blood brain barrier. There are two classes of receptors nicotinic and muscarinic. When the muscarinic receptors are not responsive a person can stop producing saliva. Low acetylcholine levels or decrease musarinic receptor sensitivity can cause high blood pressure excess can cause low blood pressure because acetylcholine increases nitric oxide production. When functioning properly , and a person wakes in the morning they feel more alert, they will have better memory, and improved ability to pay attention. Low acetlycholine receptor function prevents a person from having REM sleep. When acetylcholine levels are low or the receptors are damaged a person will have difficulty learning new things and taking in new information. They will have a difficult time discriminating what information is factual and what information is not. Losing function of the acetylcholine receptors can cause enterograde amnesia. This often occurs in people who have made a bad decision and released the ling term effects it will have on their life. The increased stress and anxiety can damage the acetycholine recptors causing them to be unable to recall the recent past. So they will not remember the error they committed. Those who have low functioning acetylcholine choline receptors can have this occur if they experience stress or trauma. Low acetylcholine function can make it difficult to breath. Some antihistamine decrease acetylcholine levels, Benadryl is one of them. Those with issues in the cholinergic system will suffer gastrointestinal problems because it maintains vagas nerve health. The vagas nerve is needed for our brain to communicate with our guts and our microbiome. Low acetylcholine makes a person prone to infections.

When the acetylcholine receptors become non responsive or acetylcholine levels become low a person can experience muscle weakness, especially in the eyes and face, and they will have difficulty swallowing. Often times clues this is happening can be found by looking at the thymus it becomes enlarged. The muscle weakness involved is not painful or fatigue but they will lack the ability to use them. When acetylcholine levels are low or the receptors are not functioning a person will develop a sensitivity to light, and may have troubling chewing because of muscle weakness in the jaw. This can also cause them to have slurred or slow speech. They may appear to be sad because their eyelids drop and they will not be able to hold their mouth closed. If they try to smile it may look more like a snarl. When acetycholine receptor activity is inhibited the muscle lose their ability to contract.

Because acetylcholine inhibits other neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin high levels of acetylcholine can make it appear that those are deficient. A person can have high acetylcholine levels but if there acetycholine receptors are damage they will be unresponsive making it appear they have low acetylcholine levels. If they appear to have low acetylcholine, serotonin and dopamine there acetylcholine receptors are most likely damaged. When this occurs a person will experience depression, lose the ability to feel pleasure, have difficulty consentrating, will not be able to have more complex problem solving thinking abilities, experience mental confusion and mental fatigue, they will be pessimistic and only able to see negative outcomes in the solution to problems, they will experience what many who have Lyme call ghost smells and ghost sounds. They will here things that are not there are smell aromas that are not present. They will experience headaches, and dry mouth, intestinal gas and bloating, tingling and numbness in legs or arms, flu or cold like symptoms, chills or the feeling you are cold, runny nose that is usually clear, they will only focus on their inner thoughts and not the thoughts of others, often times they won’t even acknowledge someone else thoughts. They prefer doing task and to work alone. They have a tendency to daydream a lot to work out a problem. High levels of acetylcholine can also cause anxiety. No that I covered symptoms of acetylcholine receptor dyfunction I will cover high and low acetylcholine. Those with poor function of the acetylcholine receptors with have poor impulse control, have bad decision making, make bad moral decisions, will have a difficult time planning for things and have a difficult time making more complex decisions. When functioning properly a person will be more alert, feel refreshed when they wake. Be happier and more content, and will have a more positive view of things and be able to see the possible positive outcomes. They will have improved memory especially of happy memories or of memories that made them feel good. They will have improve heart function. Low acetylcholine causes rapid heart rates and higher blood pressure. When functioning properly a person will have more energy, be more aroused and more alert and aware of things. Those who have PEMT issues in their livers will experience low acetycholine levels. Betaine (trimethylglycine, TMG) can help with that, these ones may have high estrogen levels. A diet deficient in choline will cause low acetylcholine levels. If the acetlycholine receptors are not function increasing acetycholine can cause severe depression. Taking high doses of vitamin D can cause excessively high acetylcholine levels. If a person is deficient in vitamin A,D or K it can cause acetylcholine receptor dysfunction.

When functioning properly acetylcholine allows the muscle to contract. Low levels makes it difficult to move your muscles they become stiff but there is no fatigue or pain. When functioning properly it improve the brains neuropasticity. When acetylcholine system is function properly a person will be able to better handle stress, have more positive attitude towards others and will have a more positive view point on solutions for problems instead of dwelling on the possible negative outcomes. When the cholinergic system is function properly a person will have better sleep quality and wake feeling refreshed.

Low acetylcholine will cause depression. Low acetylcholine levels causes systemic inflammation and can develop autoimmunity because the immune system becomes over activated. Acetylcholine balances inflammation and the immune response it does not reduce them if they are needed by the body to heal. Low acetycholine can cause constipation and gastroparesis. Low acetycholine levels can cause dry eyes and inhibit the ability to produce saliva, cause hypotension, loss of muscle tone and chronic inflammation, memory loss, and difficulty focusing. A person with low acetylcholine levels will lack the ability to stay focused, be depressed and have severe mood swings. Forgetfulness occurs when acetylcholine levels are low and often times a person will forget to complete a task. Low acetylcholine levels causes a person to become easily distracted. Low acetylcholine makes it difficult to recover after exercise or exerting oneself. A person will have a difficult time learning when acetylcholine levels are low. When acetycholine levels are low they will develop POTS which causes dizziness, light headedness, increased heart rate, weakness, confusion and nausea. Lyme sufferers refer to the mental issues low acetylcholine causes as brain fog.

High acetylcholine levels is usually induced by medications but stress, trauma , and infection can cause high levels. It can cause bronchial constriction, bradychardia, vomiting and abdominal cramping, muscle twitching which are similar to tremors but happen throughout the body including the heart, confusion, headache and drowsiness. Excess also inhibits the immune system so a person will experience frequent infections. Stress and trauma can cause excess acetylcholine levles. These can be correct by relaxations techniques. High acetylcholine levels can cause excessive sweating. Excess salivation, excess eye watering, blurred vision, muscular weakness and fasciculation which is similar to muscle twitching. Most lyme sufferers have experienced this. Increased depression and anxiety. They may experience confusion. Will lack the ability to get restful sleep and often times experience insomnia. If this occurs for an extended period of time the cholinergic system could become dysfunction.

Cod liver oil can increase acetylcholine levels. B1 deficiency can cause low acetylcholine levels. Vitamin D increases acetylcholine levels but if a person takes too much vitamin D it can increase levels too high. No more then 500IU should be taken.

Foods that contain choline include meat, fish, eggs, beans, whole grains, dairy products, nuts, and seeds. In addition, cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and cabbage also contain high amounts of choline.

I believe it is best to improve cholinergic function before trying to increase or decrease acetycholine levels because when there is damage to it the body cannot properly regulate levels. This is why I believe those who have experienced child hood trauma or have tick born illness jump between having high levels and low levels so much. I will list things that improve cholinergic system function.

Omgega 3 oils improve cholinergic function but Omega 6 oils , and transfats can inhibit cholingeric function. Bacopa, gingko, and huperzine A which is extracted from toothed clubmoss. Things that contain berberine such as bayberry or coptis improve cholinergic function.

Antioxidants such as NRF2 acitivators and milk thistle seed improves cholingeric function. Oil soluble vitamins such as vitamin A, E and D. Vitamin D in high does can cause excess acetycholine production. NAC (N-acetylcysteine) improves over all brain health, Vitamins such as niacin, methyl folate, vitamin B12, P5P help to improve overall brain health.

Things that contain complex polysaccharides improve overall brain health because they increase the production of glycoproteins in the body, reduce inflammation and fight infection. Things high in these types of polysaccharides are aloe vera, wild yam, pectin, berries, beans, legumes, fennugreek seed, peaches, sea algae especially read and brown sea algae, syrup from birch tree, oats, mushrooms, plums, and peaches. These things can cause weight loss. These also improve pasticity in the brain. Cherries, and curcumin have been found to improve cognitive function. Ashwangha and ground cherries are chemically similar. Ashwangha improves verbal and working memory. Coffee in moderate amounts improves brain function but in excess it can do the opposite.

Panax gensing is neuroprotective and has been found to improve overall brain health. Lions mane mushroom has been found to be very good at improving overall brain health. Phospatidylserine has been found to improve memory.

If a person takes a supplement to increase choline I would recommend citicoline. Citicoline does not increase TMAO. Taking supplements such as Alph-GPC or citicoline in super high doses can increase acetylcholine levels so high that the body will start inhibiting the acetylcholine receptors so do not take high dose. If a person has PEMT issues TMG can help and it will also increase choline levels.

Foods high in choline are liver, eggs, legumes, goat milk, fish, water melon , cruciferous vegetables, shiitake mushrooms, wheat germ, chicken, turkey, quinoa, and cottage cheese.

Saffron improves cognitive function and memory recall. It is used in those who suffered trauma and have episodes of stress induced amnesia.

Acetylcholine is produced from glucose, acetic acid (vinegar and choline). I suspect some who have low acetylcholine levels may have low levels of acetic acid producing bacteria.

Magneium is needed for the cholinergic system to function properly but in excess it can inhibit the cholinergic system and cause high acetylcholine levels. Zinc picolinate can improve function of the chlolinergic system. Selenium is a potent antioxidant so improves function of the cholinergic system.

Things that can inhibit acetylcholine are nicotine, forskolin, high dose glycine, over production of butyrate in the gut, excess branch chain amino acids which can be acquired from food or microbial production in the gut. Lipoic acid, and kava.

Lyme disease, inflammation, fluoroquinolone injury , eating foods high in glyphosate, gut dysbiosis, leaky gut, or gut inflammation can cause inflammation and excess oxidative stress which cause causes leptin resistance, this causes high leptin levels which activates choline acetyltransferase. This can cause high acetycholine levels.

Those who have suffered from severe trauma, chronic stress may benefit more from supporting the brain nutritional wise and doing things to decrease NMDA receptor expression. If a person reacts and their symptoms get worse it would most likely indicate they have an over expression of the NMDA receptor. This is very common in those who have been molested by a trusted figure. With borderline personality disorder, you have an intense fear of abandonment , and they may have difficulty tolerating being alone. Yet inappropriate anger, impulsiveness and frequent mood swings may push others away, even though you want to have loving and lasting relationships. I will discuss borderline personality disorder below. Using agonist and antagonist on the NMDA receptor is tough because what helps one person can make another worse. This is probably a result of each having damage to different areas of the brain.

N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) plays a major role in neuronal plasticity, cognition and memory. Dysfunction in it can cause borderline personality disorder. Those who have suffered from severe trauma, chronic stress may benefit more from supporting the brain nutritional wise and doing things to decrease NMDA receptor expression. If a person reacts and their symptoms get worse it would most likely indicate they have an over expression of the NMDA receptor. I will discuss borderline personality disorder below. Using agonist and antagonist on the NMDA receptor is tough because what helps one person can make another worse. Stress-induced neuronal death involves multiple systems, such as the catecholamine, glucocorticoid, free radicals and glutamate mechanisms. Stress activates catecholamine responses and NMDA neurotransmission. Excessive NMDA Recptor stimulation leads to free radicals, which have been associated with oxidative stress and can destroy the cells. Continuation of or reexposure to stress results in unregulated excitation of glutamate neurons. unregulated excitation of glutamate neurons indicates glutamatergic neurotransmission in stress-induced hippocampal atrophy and death. When this occurs reverse learning is effected. Reverse learning is our ability to learn and then unlearn certain behavior. When the NMDA is dysfunctional a person will make errors because they will not recognize the negative outcomes of their decisions. This is common in those who have borderline personality disorder. NMDA also regulate dopamine function so dysfunction in it can cause dysfunction with dopamine. It helps to transport dopamine to the correct areas of the brain.

I cannot find studies on the effects of excess NMDA receptor activation so I will list the symptoms of low NMDA receptor activity. The only information is NMDA over activation can cause excessive fear and anxiety and that is probably a sign that glutamate levels are high. When glutamate levels are high and the NMDA receptor is activated it increased the mental problems caused by damage to other areas of the brain so I would suggest doing a protocol to reduce glutamate before activating the NMDA receptor. NMDA receptor increase extracellular glutamate is is probably why some react badly when the NMDA recptor is activated. Glutamate and dopamine work to balance each other. Glutamate increase dopamine, showing the balance needed. High glutamate would mean high dopamine levels. I am not going to post much information on activating the NMDA because it also increases release of norepinephrine, glutamate and acetylcholine. A person would have to make sure those are balanced first before they even attempt to increase NMDA activity.

NMDA can also enhance GABA release and releases pregnenolone and IGF-1. Pregnenolone is very good at balancing hormones in the brain and body. IGF-1 is considered a logevity geen because of it’s many health benefits so I believe activating the NMDA receptor would most likely have more benefits then harm. But I do not believe increasing GABA is the answer because often times increasing a hormone or neurotransmitter someone is deficient in inhibits the receptors. Activating the NMDA receptor while glutamate levels are high can actually cause even more dysfunction in the NMDA receptor. If a person is low in nitric oxide the NMDA receptor can become over activated.

Obesity can be a sign of inhibited NMDA receptor activity especially if a person is fatigued also because it increases many things in the body that increases energy production and fat burning. Depression, lack of REM sleep which is the stage you dream, and muscle wasting is a sign the NMDA receptor is not functioning.

Low function of the NMDA receptor , causes glutamate production to no longer be inhibited causing high glutamate levels. So even though the NMDA receptor can increase glutamate levels , it’s inhibition can increase glutamate levels even higher. Supplementing with GABA can increase glutamine because it can be converted back into GABA in the body. When you supplement with GABA very little of it reaches the brain because of the size of the molecule.

Reducing inflammation and oxidative stress improves function of the NMDA receptor. NAC has been shown to improve NMDA receptor function. Vitamin C is an NMDA receptor agonist but reduces glutamine levels so would most likely improve NMDA function. Glutamate in excess is an excitotoxin. It overactivates the NMDA receptor. This can be caused by consuming too much glutamate, or even a nutrient deficiency inhibiting the bodies ability to produce glutamate. High levels could also occur if the microbes in the gut that convert Glutamate to GABA are deficient. L-carnitine has been found to improve overall brain function.

When things are balanced in the brain then NMDA agonist can improve the function of many areas of the brain. d-aspartic acid is an NMDA agonist improves focus and clarity of thought. Histamine is an NMDA receptor agonist. This is why histamine blockers such as benadryl can increase NMDA activity. Cannabis increases glutamate and decreases GABA. Glycine is an NMDA agonist (activator), alanine, sarcosine, spermidine, spermine, serine, DHEA and theanine are NMDA agonist. Curcumin is an NMDA agonist.

Excess zinc and excess copper inhibits NMDA receptor function. Alcohol is an NMDA antagonist (inhibitor). NMDA receptor antagonist induce sleep and can induce hallucinations. kynurenic acid produced in the brain from tryptophan is an NMDA agonist. Excessive NMDA inhibition can cause hallucinations, paranoid delusions, confusion, difficulty concentrating, agitation, alterations in mood, nightmares, muscle rigidiy,,difficulty speaking, difficulty swallowing, excess sleeping, and learning and memory deficits. Huperzine A is an inhibitor of the NMDA receptor. Arginine is a NMDA receptor antagonist. NMDA agonnist causes severe psychiatric issues. Studies claim magnesium inhibits the NMDA receptor but that is not true it only occurs if vitamin D is low. It decreases glutamate and increases GABA when vitamin D is adequate.

Glutamate seem to be the main regulator of many receptors in the brain especially the NMDA receptor so we should be aware of symptoms of high and low levels. Inability to focus, sleeplessness, anxiety, chronic pain, high glutamate has been linked to many mental disorders and age related diseases involving mental decline. A restless mind occurs with high glutamate levels you cannot shut your mind down. It causes the inability to organize thoughts and mental confusion, low tolerance to stress and get overwhelmed easily, severe depression, very severe headaches, symptoms of PANDAS. Intolerance to methyl donors. When I looked at studies high glutamine was connected to almost every type of mental illness and most diseases involved in age related cognitive decline. If glutamate levels are high then calcium should not be supplemented it will increase the excitotoxic effects of the glutamine. Zinc is supposed to inhibit the NMDA receptor but it reduces gluatamine. If someone takes zinc , zinc picolinate would probably be best it reduces brain inflammation. Vitamin D and Vitamin k are needed to properly regulate glutamate. Something to take note of inflammation, and oxidative stress can interfere with pathways involved in the pathways that convert GABA to glutamate and the pathways that are involved in reducing glutamate are inhibited in those with trauma, chronic stress induced or PTSD, studies have shown they have excess inflammation and oxidative stress. So those would also need addressed. Glutamine is in many foods so it most likely would not need to be supplemented if a person wanted to increase GABA and it could cause high glutamine levels. Issues with glutamate metabolism in the body can cause weight gain because it is used in the pathways for OXPHOS. I have seen many websites recommending argine to increase GABA. I would not do this because it would increase glutamate more then it would increase GABA. High glutamate can be an indication ATP levels are low.

Things that cause high glutamate are high ammonia levels in the body, infection, some medications, consuming foods high in glyphosate, stress, trauma, consuming too much foods that contain glutamate such as foods that contain MSM. The high ammonia indicates a metabolic issue, there are problems in the citric acid cycle and an alternative pathway to metabolize glutamate is being used in the citric acid cycle. You would think it would reduce glutamate but the ammonia causes cells to release glutamate. This occurs when OXPHOS is inhibited. Also having a deficiency in the microbes in the gut that convert glutamate to GABA can increase levels. Vitamin B6 deficiency can cause high glutamate levels. If a person has MELAS syndrome they should avoid things that increase lactate, alanine and branch chain amino acids until the metabolic issues causing it are addressed. Those with MELAS syndrome need to correct their OXPHOS. Those who are obese will probably react when they increase calcium intake and suffer mentally because they have inhibited ATP production which increases cellular calcium in the NMDA receptor when ATP levels are low which increases cell death. Glutamate uptake into the cells actually improves plasticity of cells in the brain showing the importance of reducing ammonia levels if they are high. Increasing helps to reduce ammonia levels. Increasing nitric oxide levels reduces high ammonia levels. Panax gensing, pomegranate, and beets increases nitric oxide levels. Low cGMP can indicate low serotonin levels or low vitamin C levels. Artichoke cinnamon, Butea Superba, horny goat weed, grape seed extract, pine bark extract increase cGMP. They also increase OXPHOS which would help increase ATP levels. Low cGMP could also be an indication of low insulin levels. When the cells ability to uptake glutamate is inhibited by ammonia muscles will become sore and cannot easily heal. This also happens to cells in the brain. Glutamate increases energy levels in the cells. So a person with high ammonia will also suffer from brain fog and muscle fatigue. Low intracellular gluatamate can cause excess blood clotting. Some pathways need betaine to prevent high ammonia levels so supplementing with betaine will help prevent high ammonia levels. Urease producing bacteria in the gut can also cause high ammonia levels. Consuming activated charcoal could help to prevent the absorption of of urease into the body if the high ammonia levels are microbial related. Those with high glutamate and high ammonia levels should avoid methyl folate because they will react to methyl donors and they will react the most to methyl folate. They need to reduce ammonia and glutamate levels.

Taurine can help to reduce the neurotoxic effects of glutamate and other excitotoxins in the brain. Taurine also helps to reduce cortisol levels helping a person be more relaxed. Magnesium taurate has been found to be one of the most effective forms of taurine for reducing over excitation of the nervous system.

Proline helps to reduce glutamate release. Glycine and Omega 3 fatty acids improve NMDA function. NAC improves NMDA function. Milk thistle and inositol produced by some microbes in the gut improves NMDA function. Perriwinkle has been found to improve overall brain health. There are natural COX-2 inhibitors that can improve NMDA function.

Niacine, ribose, thiamine, CoQ10 and increasing nitric oxide by increasing nitrate and nitrite consumption can improve function of the mitochondria helping to prevent high ammonia and high glutamate levels.

Things that improve overall brain health are gingko, bacopa, panax gensing, B vitamins, coconut oil because it has many nutrient that heal the brain that can usually only be found in a mothers breast milk. Grape seed extract improves brain function. Astaxanin dramatically improves brain health but some complain they get headaches. I believe this is because they are taking the man made Astaxanthin instead of Astaxanthan acquired from natural sources. Man made Astaxanthin is toxic to the body just as man made folic acid is toxic to the body.

Borderline personality disorder affects how you feel about yourself, how you relate to others and how you behave. They have an intense fear of abandonment or rejection. They idealize a person one moment then suddenly believe they do not care enough or they are cruel. They have rapid changed in self image and self identity. They can experience stress related paranoia that can last minutes or hours. Impulsive and risky behavior, such as gambling, reckless driving, unsafe sex, spending sprees, binge eating or drug abuse. They will often times have suicidal thoughts. Wide mood swings lasting from a few hours to a few days, which can include intense happiness, irritability, shame or anxiety. This is because the NMDA receptor interacts with many other areas of the body. They will have angry outburst but will have a stoic reaction when they are faced with anger from someone else and they will try to ignore it. They tend to have a bias perception and interpretation of emotionals signals. When they are face with trauma or stress they may have a partial and temporary collapse of mentalization. Those with BPD have poor impulse control and poor emotional control . Fear conditioning and extinction, both considered forms of new learning, are dependent on proper function of NMDA neurotransmission

Fear conditioning is where you learn from past errors that cause you pain, resulted in punishment or endangered you. Those who have dysfunction in the NMDA have a reduced ability for learning through fear conditioning so will often times make bad decisions repeatedly that can effect their lives negatively. Those who have experienced trauma as a child do not have a fully developed or functional NMDA receptor which can cause disassociative disorder commonly found in those with BPD. Those suffering from BPD often times experience identity diffusion or confusion, amnesic episodes, feelings of estrangement, and impairment or loss of sensory and motor function. Identity diffusion is the failure to develop and identity of oneself. These are the people who will imitate the behavior of those they associate with in an attempt to establish their identity. Your identity is based on your values, your experiences, your beliefs, your experiences and relationships. Because of the impaired ability to remember certain aspects of their life their ability to develop self identity is impaired. They have a difficult time identifying their purpose in life. They often times experience depersonalization when under stress. being a detached observer of oneself. They feel they have changed and that the world has become vague, dreamlike, less real, lacking in significance or being outside reality while looking in. It can be described as feeling like one is on “autopilot” and that the person’s sense of individuality or selfhood has been hindered or suppressed. This can happen to anyone during trauma or stress but usually persist in those with BPD. Often times they have an increased tolerance to pain.

Those with BPD tend to project the traits, feelings, emotions or thoughts they are having onto others. Projecting something internal about ourselves onto someone is an unconscious act. It is a defense mechanism. If we get upset when this occurs we can hinder their healing because it helps them let what is bothering them go. Psychotherapy has been shown to help with BPD. Therapists help patients to identify emotions and social cues, enhance interpersonal and emotion regulation skills, and increase the ability to mentalize through clarification, interpretation, education, validation, teaching and exercise according to the theoretical models. Once the patients can identify and appropriately interpret their own and others’ state of mind, they learn how to prevent or modulate previously pathological or detrimental, often impulsive behaviours. So supporting brain function and improving NMDA function along with therapy should improve symptoms of BPD.

I have found those who use cannabis usually react when they increase endogenous cannabinoids. Sadly they are much more potent for healing the cannabis. Vitamin D deficiency causes low endogenous cannabinoids. Omega 3 oils increases endogenous cannabinoids. Akkermansia muciniphila and Lactobacillus planatarum increases endogenous cannabinoids. Lactobacillus planatarum improves cannabinoid receptor function.

Anandamide is and endogenous cannabinoid. Anandamide improves brain function, increases the feeling of well being, improves memory, increases motivation and alertness, improve high thought processing, improves motor control in the body, reduces anxiety and prevents depression. Anandamide increases the good feelings you get from completing a task or from something such as eating a meal you enjoy. FAAH enzyme activity increases during trauma and chronic stress this causes a decrease in anandamide. Children who have experienced trauma and those who have PTSD have increased expression of FAAH enzymes. Also chronic stress or trauma increases FAAH expression. Anandamide works mostly with CB1 receptors. I am not going to discuss anandamide very much because increasing it can harm the body if it is increased too high. If a person inhibits FAAH enzymes I would not do it often.

Black pepper increasers anandamide because it inhibits it’s reuptake. Chocolate contains anandamide. Normal levels of anandamide improves overall health of the brain high levels cause cell death in the brain. This is why those who use cannabis excessively experience excess cell death in the brain. Those with excess anandamide are unable to feel fear which could cause problems and cause them to endanger themselves.

Many beans and legumes contain FAAH inhibors. Biochanin A highest levels are found in red clover, chick peas, alfalfa sprouts and chick peas , Keampferol inhibits FAAH. Maca root inhibits FAAH. Foods highest in keamperol are water cress, mustard greens, arugula, kale, endive, blue berry, water melon, kiwi, strawberries, elderberries, apricots and cherries.

2-AG (2-arachidonoylglycerol) is also and endogenous cannibinoid. Works with CB1 and CB2 receptors, as well as the receptors from a neurosignaling system dealing with body temperature regulation, the TRVP1 receptor. TRVP1 receptor activates when we feel pain. It also helps prevent excess anxiety when we feel pain. Excess 2-AG causes constipation, hypothermia, and increased endurance for pain. 2-AG is a potent anti-inflammatory. 2-AG improves the ability to remain calm during trauma, chronic stress or adversity. 2-AG increases dopamine but cannabis decreases it and induces psychosis. 2-AG also prevents an over active immune response. 2-AG is low in those who experienced trauma as a child, in PTSD, and when someone is under chronic stress.

The physiological effects independently of CB1 and CB2 receptors, for instance by binding to and activating GABAA, PPARγ , Adenosine A3, TRPV1 , and GPR55. Once side effect of 2-AG is it can increase food intake but it increases metabolism promoting a lean body type. 2-AG reduces inflammation in the brain and helps to protect the brain. 2-AG also prevents the build up of amyloid in the body which would prevent fibroid build up in the body and help prevent Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. When adrenal hormones are released 2-AG is recruited to prevent HPA over activation which is over activated in man in many types of mental diseases. 2-AG also reduces anxiety. 2-AG improves the function of the GABA receptors by helping heal them. 2-AG is also released when we experience severe pain it reduces the severity of the pain. 2-AG improves the ability of the brain to tolerate and adapt to stress.

2-AGimproves habituation, which is the ability to sort out thing that are inconsequential stimulus. For example if we hear a loud noise we have never heard before we usually react by getting distracted and will want to learn what the noise is. After we have learned what that noise is we learn to determine if the noise is of consequence or if it is not. This preserves memory and brain resources to be used more efficiently. Most who have experienced trauma have an inhibited ability to for habituation. This causes a decreased reaction to whatever the stimulating object was in the environment because our brain can rapidly process the information. The more we experience the more quickly our brains can process information from our environment. But those who have experienced trauma as a child or have PTSD or during episodes of chronic stress have an inhibited ability for habituation. Habituation also helps us decide what we like and what we do not like. So those with the inability to habituate will have difficulty understanding what they like and what they do not like.

Inhibiting Monoacylglycerol lipase (MAGL) increases 2-AG. MAGL is usually highly expressed in most types of cancer inhibiting it reduces cancer. cordalis yanhusou is one of the most potent inhibitors of Hops is also a potent inhibitor of MAGL. Red sage also known as Danshen is a potent MAGL inhibitor.
