Why chronic illness has become epidemic.
I am going to discuss how inflammation and oxidative stress cause chronic illness and may lead to high lactic acid levels in the body and some things that may help. This is not medical information , I am writing this for educational and and information purposes. If you are ill you should seek the help of an experienced and proven naturopath.
When in a state of excess inflammation the gut has a hard time absorbing nutrients. It may be necessary to get subligual nutrients until the body has healed enough to start absorbing foods. Some have used transdermal nutrient patches and said they worked for them.
Inflammation and oxidative stress cause the blood to thicken and damages blood vessels leading to thrombosis. The main causes of inflammation and oxidative stress now days is vaccinations, BT Toxins in GMO foods, glyphosate which has been found to be in most of our food supply and pharmaceutical drugs. Also sugar and processed food causes inflammation and oxidative stress. The causes of the oxidative stress are very numerous and mostly man made. Death from allopathic medicine is one of the number one causes of death in the world because many of the drugs and devices used cause excess oxidative stress and chronic low grade inflammation. Our food has become so toxic that it is also a source of oxidative stress and chronic low grade inflammation. This is why eating organic as much as possible is very very important because it reduces your exposure to toxins. Mental stress from anger, hatred , life’s stress, anxieties of life can cause excess chronic low grade inflammation. Constant exposure to mold can cause low grade inflammation and oxidative stress. We have many toxins now in our environment that is also causing excess oxidative stress and inflammation.
Once a chronic cycle of inflammation or oxidative stress gets started it is hard to stop especially when it is caused by vaccines because they contain chemicals that can effect the body for life putting it in a state of chronic low grade inflammation. This causes a persons health to slowly degrade over the years. Drugs like fluoroquinolones can have a much more dramatic effect and is very difficult to overcome.
Most will be told these things are genetic. When you hear them say something is genetic this usually means they are putting up a smoke screen for the harm they have done, or they lack the knowledge to understand what is really occuring and what the real cause of illness or they are brushing it under the carpet to hide the harm being done by the biotech industry, food industry, medical industry or pharmaceutical industry. This is why you will most likely not get answers from the allopathic community as to why you are ill and what led up to you becoming ill. As an example my family used to remain pretty healthy on both my mothers and my fathers side until they were in their upper 80 and 90s. As a matter of fact one of my aunts died at 102 and she was a smoker. Now most of my family starts suffering from chronic illness very young and they are now dying in their 40s and 50s. I see this occurring in many families and I wonder why no one is asking why?
Since our bodies are under constant attack from the oxidative stress and inflammation it is making us more prone to diabetes, cancer, autoimmunity , cardiovascular disease, lung disease and infectious diseases. This is also why tick born illness is rampant. Modern day society is losing our ability to fight infection because our bodies are under constant assault. Allopathic medicine gives you drugs to mask the symptoms to make you feel better but often times they are speeding up the rate that our health declines. Because man is losing the ability to fight infection it is leading to infectious diseases that normally would not effect us to be able to jump species. Once they jump species they rapidly adapt becoming much more dangerous then previous infectious diseases. Those most vulnerable to these diseases are the ones who are in a constant state of inflammation and oxidative stress.
The chronic illness is a symptom it is the oxidative stress and inflammation that is causing the problems. This causes you to experience psuedohypoxia. Though you have adequate levels of oxygen in your blood it is not getting to your tissues. This causes the cells to be in a state of hypoxia. This state of hypoxia causes you to use alternative metabolic pathways as a source of energy. Those alternative metabolic pathways result in the production of lactic acid at a rate faster then what your body can remove it. It also result in increased oxidative stress and increased inflammation.
The body is very resilient, it can take quite a few assaults before it breaks down and loses the ability to repair. When the oxidative stress and chronic low grade inflammation reach a certain point the body can no longer repair fast enough to be able to keep up and our health slowly declines. The more it declines the more prone we become to infection. It has gotten so bad now days that even commensal microbes we need are acting almost as if they are an infectious agent now days. Man has always had to deal with tick born illness, mold and many other things. They did not bother us before because our bodies were not always under constant toxic assault.
In order to heal and prevent farther illness you need to address the cause of the chronic inflammation and oxidative stress.
When we are in a state of chronic low grade inflammation it can cause thrombosis. This deprives the bodies tissues of oxygen. Even though our plasma oxygen levels may be normal because of the excess blood clotting the blood cannot reach our tissues. This causes our blood vessels to break down farther depriving the bodies tissues of much needed oxygen. This is often times referred to as pseudohypoxia some refer to is as tissue hypoxia. This causes the body to use alternative pathways to create energy for the cells. Often times this leads to lactic acid build of in the body because it is a byproduct of the alternative pathways energy production. With the alternative pathways being used lactic acid is being produced at a faster rate then the body can remover or convert it.
In order to heal we need to address the thrombosis so the tissues can get the oxygen they need, we need to address the inflammation and the excess oxidative stress. If we do not it does not matter how many supplements or how healthy your diet is you will not heal.
We need inflammation and oxidative stress in order to heal and protect us from infection so we need to find balance. Excess oxidative stress and inflammation can inhibit our ability to fight infection and if inflammation and oxidative stress is totally inhibited then the body cannot remove scar tissue and cannot fight infection so balance is key to healing.
Now the metabolic and genetic issues caused by these things are complex and needs someone experienced to help a person understand what they need to do in order to heal. There are many protocols out there but there is no one size fits all protocol. Healing is unique for each person and has to be geared towards the exposome of their family and location. We must correct any problems that may have been passed down from their parents exposome effecting their genes and we also have to address the effects of their present exposome on their genes. I am only going to lightly touch on things that will help but it is best to seek the treatment from an experienced naturopath with a proven good track record. Allopathic medicine gets you on a medical hamster wheel because there is no profit in treating the illness because a healthy customer is a lost customer. I have in a few instances seen naturopaths who used a similar tactic though it is not as common in naturopathic medicine I have seen naturopaths that have gotten people on a naturopathic hamster wheel. They sell products that treat the symptoms and not the cause of illness. So the person has moved from an allopathic hamster wheel to a naturopathic one. It is best to find out how successful the naturopath is before you hire them.
Once the body is in this chronic low grade inflammatory state and state of excess oxidative stress the cycle is very difficult to break. It takes time to heal. If you are living in mold it will take much much longer to heal because the toxins produced by mold cause inflammation and oxidative stress. This is also why those living in mold are more susceptible to injury from vaccines, GMOs, farm toxins found in our foods and allopathic drugs.
In order for your body to heal you have to address the health issues that have been caused while reducing the oxidative stress and chronic low grade inflammation that has been caused.
The oxidative stress and inflammation can effect many metabolic pathways and genes. It can even cause negative epigenetic changes which can get passed to children. So when a person is healing sometimes it is necessary to consider the negative epigenetic changes that may have occurred in their familes.
Our microbiome modulate many of our metabolic pathways and genes. Toxins, bad food choices and even vaccine injury can alter our microbiome. Also our genes and metabolic pathways need to communicate with our microbiome. When there is excess oxidative stress and inflammation this communication get broken. Also antibiotics, processed foods, GMO, farm chemicals in our food and even emotional and physical stress can alter our microbiome. We inherit our microbiome from our parents so any microbe alterations they experience will be passed to their children. Many of the gut microbes needed to maintain our health are now extinct in the guts of those who live in the U.S. and other nations who have high herbicide, pesticide and antibiotic use. This is why chronic illness, autoimmunity, and cancer are so rampant now days.
In order to help the body get the upper hand we need to detox, address genetic and metabolic issues and correct our microbiome imbalance and any other things in our exposome that are negatively impacting our health. We need to reduce the inflammation and oxidative stress and work on correcting microbiota, metabolic and gene issues. This take someone very experienced and is unique to each person. In my opinion we need a variety of naturopaths who communicate with each other and specialize in a specific area because the many health problems caused by these things are complex and some can take years to study to fully learn how to correct them.
Inflammation , oxidative stress and altered gut microbes can increase zonulin levels. This will cause a person to develop food allergies and intolerance. Once again they will tell people this is genetic when in actuality it has been caused by the toxic environment from man. Since we inherit our gut microbiome from our parents that damage gets passed to our children unless we correct it. Since we inherit our microbiome from our parents imagine how sick each generation is going to get as more and more farm chemicals and other toxins that are found in our food increases. Imagine all those who’s microbiome has been altered by antibiotics. This next generation of children to not stand a chance. I microbiome make up 80 percent of our immune system, they also keep our bodies from attacking themselves. Our microbiome prevent the absorption of toxins and regulate our zonulin levels. When zonulin is unchecked and gets too high it can lead to leaky gut which cause us to become sensitive to almost every thing we eat.
So the key to healing is to heal our guts, decrease inflammation and oxidative stress while addressing metabolic and gene issues a person may have. Removing the offending factors from our environment.
There are negative epigenetic changes that can occur to our parents and can be passed to us. Things such as trauma, nutrient deficiencies, toxins and many other things can cause negative epigenetic changes. Often times this can be corrected.
Another thing that causes inflammation and oxidative stress is nutrient deficiencies. This can be caused by a lack of variety in our diets, eating processed foods or consumption of foods that contain glyphosate or foods that have been grown where it has been used because glyphosate chelates minerals from the soil and when foods are consumed that contain it which most of our food supply has been found to be contaminated with it then it chelates the nutrients from the body also. Many believe this is why they started fortifying foods with vitamins because they started doing this at the same time the government approved it’s use. Documents showing communications between the government and Monsanto show that hey had the fact that this was occurring.
I am not going to get into detail on how to heal but I am going to make some suggestions. If you are chronically ill it is best to find an experienced naturopath with a proven track record for helping others to heal.
I am going to discuss some things that help reduce lactic acid but acetaldehyde will most likely need addressed also because excess lactic acid feeds the acetaldehyde producing microbes. Acetaldehyde is also a byproduct of alcohol consumption so those who have acetaldehyde levels will become intoxicated. There are reports of people who have never touched a drop of alcohol in their life and they have failed breathalyzer test and sobriety test. Auto-brewery syndrome can be caused by antibiotics or consuming foods high in glyphosate. Avoiding foods high in processed carbohydrates can help prevent auto-brewery syndrome. Also eating organic as much as possible help reduce the risk of developing it. Eating more complex fibers like organic unpolished brown rice, barley, pasta cooked Al dente , vegetables, many herbs like parsley and oregano help prevent it. Oats, and lentils also reduce the risk of it occurring. Things that can help reduce lactic acid are coconut oil, omega 3 oil, rutabaga, ginger, olive oil, lemon and other citrus fruit, pumpkin seeds, algae or seaweed, curcumin, Pau Darco, pineapple, nuts, grape seed extract , mugwort, wormwood, cinnamon, burdock root, and mushrooms help reduce lactic acid because they contain beta glucan. Bifidobacteria acidifies the gut which reduces pathogens and acetaldehyde producing microbes. Some nutrients that help are low dose biotin and consuming food grade Saccharomyces cereviciae. Also reducing glucose, fructose, and lactose consumption until homeostasis in the gut is reached should also help. The thrombosis, inflammation and oxidative stress still need to be addressed so that the body can start getting the upper hand and heal.
The poor circulation caused by thrombosis causes circulation shunting so the tissues are not getting the oxygen they need. This also causes damage to the blood vessels causing farther loss of oxygen to the bodies tissues. The oxygen levels in the plasma can appear to be normal but CO2 levels are usually high in those suffering from this. Another thing that can cause this type of shunting is if someone has catacholamine issues. Those suffering from this will most likely experience bone loss, muscle loss and ligaments and other soft tissue will start to deteriorate and they will start developing skin lesions. Mannose can help reduce the damage until the issues causing this are addressed. It is found in gaur gum, locust bean, genugreek gum, tara gum, konjac gum, peaches, apples, oranges, berries, cabbage, turnip, tomatoes especially green tomatoes, berries, palm kernel oil, cayenne pepper, kidney beans, lima beans, aloe vera, and bakers yeast. Taking high amounts of mannose can cause bloating, diarrhea, and kidney damage. Mannose also helps correct misfolded proteins which is a problem found in almost all forms of interstitial cystitis.
Ursolic acid can also increase oxygen levels to the cells. It is found in rosemary, apples , majorem, oregano and hawthorn. Also ursolic acid and Tomatidine can help to restore muscle mass by inhibiting ATF-4 activation. Tomatidine helps those who have APOE4 issues. Excess Tomatidine can cause tachycardia and can cause increased blood pressure. Tomatidine is found in green tomatoes and cherry tomatoes.
In order to get oxygen to the cells it is also very important to improve blood flow. These help improve blood flow. Cayenne pepper, grape seed extract, bromelain found in pineapples, pomegranate, cinnamon, cod liver oil, beets, L-arginine, tumeric, leafy greens, citrus fruits, walnuts, tomatoes, berries, foods high in vitamin E, wheat germ oil, grape seed extract Avocado, ginger and Foods high in B vitamins such as mushrooms, kale and spinach. Remember to cook kale and spinach because they are high in oxalates. Once you cook them dump the water to get rid of the oxalates. Gotu Kola, bacopa, hawthorne, Ginkgo Biloba, thyme, horny goat weed, and green tea also improve blood flow. Getting massages improves blood flow and speeds up lactic acid clearance from the body. Vitamin D also improves blood flow to cells. Stretching improves blood flow to the cells. Stimulating HSP70 improves blood flow to the cells but should be done in moderation because overstimulating it can increase oxidaive stress. HSP70 also helps remove scar tissue from the body and corrects misfolded proteins. You can simulate HSP70 by going from hot to cold for example by getting in a sauna and then taking a cold shower. I could not do that because my Lyme carditis was bad at the time so I would splash my face with cold water after I showered and it did help.
Now to address the oxidative stress. These are the most potent anti-oxidants, keep in mind we need a certain amount of oxidative stress to protect us from cancer and infection, it is also needed to remove toxins and scar tissue from the body. Olives contain the most potent antioxidant found. It is called Hydroxytyrosol. It improves mitochondrial function and reduces inflammation. Astaxantan found in trout , shrimp, and salmon. Pyrroquinolone quinnone found in green peppers, pine bark extract, larch bark extract,
Addressing the inflammation. These things help with inflammation. Magnesium, berries, fatty fish like salmon, sardines, mackerel and anchovies reduce inflammation. Broccoli, bell peppers, mushrooms, dark chocolate, cherries, swiss chard, bok choy, celery and beets are good for reducing inflammation. Sinapinic acid found in wine, vinegar, black mustard seed which has to be organic because they have GMO mustard, raspberries, avocado, mango, onion, garlic, rye, dill, sage, anise, turnip greens, oats, and beer contain Sinapinic acid. Sinapinic Acid increases estradiol concentrations in the body and is a more potent pain killer then aspirin. It is also one of the most potent anti-inflammatories there is. I mentioned melatonin being and anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. I usually do not like taking things that the body can produce because often times that can destroy the bodies ability to produce it but this does not occur with melatonin. N-acetyl-cystein (NAC) and glycine are very potent anti-inflammatories and antioxidants. Once you reach homeostasis with NAC it is best to start pulsing it to about three days a week. Alpha-Lactalbumin found in hydrolysed whey protein helps reduce inflammation better then aspirin. Proteins that help reduce inflammation are taurine, histidine, and carnotine. They are found in gelatin, scallop, fish, potatoes, legumes, beans, and eggs. Gaba also reduces inflammation. Bifidobactieria and commensal clostridia increase GABA levels. If a person is having trouble gaining weigh increasing prevotella will increase weight gain and is very potent at reducing zonulin levels and inflammation. Vitamin B6 and B12 help reduce inflammation. Often times when under oxidative stress or chronic inflammation we cannot convert B6 and B12 to the bioavailable forms. This happened to me so I had to take the bioavailable forms of B6 and B12. The body needs B6 in order to use B12 so it should be taken first. Many take hydroxyl B12 but the only one that worked for me was methyl B12. Yarrow reduces inflammation and also has effects similar to caffeine without the side effects of caffeine. Citroline helps reduce inflammation but should not be taken for long periods of time and should be pulsed about three times a week once homeostasis is reached because the body recycles it and it can build up in the blood stream and start damaging red blood cells and the liver. CoQ10 decreases inflammation but a person should detox before taking it because it can cause the cell to release toxins that may be in them. I would say it would be best to pulse it at first and detox between doses and then as you react less take it more often. I had to take it twice a day in order to notice the benefits.
Now to correct the leaky gut if you have food sensitivities you will need to increase intake of mucilage. Arrow root, kudzu root and maca root are good sources of mucilage. Also you oxalate absorption is increase so consuming calcium with food helps prevent oxalate absorption until you get your gut healed. Increased zonulin causes food allergies, high histamines, food intolerance, systematic inflammation and oxidative stress. You may have to avoid gluten, casein , and other foods like beans for a while because they contain lectins which can cause inflammation in the body when zonulin levels are high and they can also irritate the gut when zonulin levels are high. Inflammation can cause high adrenal activity causing the body to get stuck in a state of fight or flight. It is very important to learn to relax and handle stress as well as possible. A breathing technique that helped me relax is breathing in through the nose and exhaling it slowly through the mouth. Colostrum also decreases zonulin levels. These microbes reduce zonulin levels and inflammation but should not be taken until the butyrate producing microbes are restored. Enterococcus Faecium, Lactobacillus Acidophillus, Lactobacillus Brevis, and Lactococcus Lactis. Artichokes, bananas, chicory inulin, Jerusalem artichoke, fruit pectin, and coconut oil help to increase the butyrate producing and zonulin reducing microbes.
Meditating on positive things has been shown to speed up healing of the gut. Low impact exercise has been shown to speed up the healing of the gut. Zinc speeds up the healing of the gut but do not take high dose if you do it can push the copper from your body. Low dose vitamin D3 speeds up healing of the gut but high dose will cause oxalates leading to kidney stone formation. It also will inhibit the vitamin D receptor resulting in bile flow and digestive enzymes becoming inhibited. If you are having trouble digesting cargbohydrates black seed oil increases the digestion of carbohydrates. Thyme increase brush border enzymes helping with motility and the farther break down of our foods .
We inherit our microbiome from our parents and they modulate our genes and metabolic pathways. So if a family lacks certain microbes or has too many of certain microbes they will be prone to certain illnesses. They falsely claim the illnesses are genetic to hid the harm the biotech, food industry and pharmaceutical industry are doing. Our diets can alter our gut microbiome. Often times we learn eating habits from our family and if a family has bad eating habits then we also will make ourselves prone to certain illnesses involved with either consuming too much of one things or not enough of another.
If a child is lacking certain microbes and they are given a probiotic containing those microbes they usually will get established very quickly but in adults it can take months for the body to recognize the new beneficial microbe as friend instead of foe. Not only that but we can also get microbes from those we socialize with so if we socialize with those who have bad gut microbes form bad eating habits we could also get their bad microbes and cause illness on ourselves. That most likely can work in reverse also. PQQ supports the transfer of energy in the cells and enhances new mitochondria formation. It is destroyed in the cooking process. So foods containing it should not be cooked above 100 degrees. It is found in Natto. Remember Natto is made from soy and most soy is GMO and contains high levels of glyphosate so make sure if you consume Natto it is organic. Parsley, green bell peppers, papaya which you also should make sure is organic, Tofu which is also made from soy so make sure it is organic, carrots, cabbage, Bananas, Oolong Tea, and Green Tea. PQQ is absorbed better if taken with a fatty acid. Minerals such as zinc, magnesium, Low dose vitamin C because high dose can increase oxidative stress, manganese and molybdenum also help. Our bodies do not need much molybdenum so do not take high doses and once the body has enough start taking it less often. I backed off taking it about three times a week. We need very little manganese so once levels are up I would stop taking it and only take it once in a while to make sure I maintain levels in the body. Argan oil is also a very potent anti-oxidant. Melatonin is a potent antioxidant and potent anti-inflammatory. When under excess oxidative stress methione can increase oxidative stress farther.
