God’s word will be banned. We must write his word on our hearts while we can.

If you don't read it how can you have faith.

Deuteronomy 11:18 English Standard Version (ESV)

18 “You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

Hebrews 8:10 English Standard Version (ESV)

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
after those days, declares the Lord:
I will put my laws into their minds,
and write them on their hearts,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
Matthew 22:37 ESV

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

Those who love and trust God would not only read God’s word but they would live it. It would guide all they do. So much so that it would become a part of them. We know our hearts are deceptive and if we do not write God’s word on our hearts and live by his word our hearts can mislead us.

Jeremiah 17:9 ESV

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?

Psalm 40:8 ESV

I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Christ set the perfect example for us to follow by imitating him and learning from him we will please God. We must keep the commandments Jesus gave us. We must put on the new personality and not look back at the old.

1John ESV

2 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, 5 but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: 6 whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.

All this will be gone pretty soon. Why store up treasures that will soon be gone. The treasure we store in heaven will remain. The things in this system will be gone very very soon. We are close to the end of this system and near the beginning of the new system. Most of the things in this system will be gone. If we have not stored up treasures in heaven then what hope do we have?

Matthew 6

19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Collosians 3

12 Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, 13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

What we talk about and how we speak indicates what is written in our hearts. We must guard our tongues and speak of good things as much as possible and not get caught up in the habit many have of spreading gossip , rumors and using vulgar language. What comes out of our mouth shows what is in our hearts.

James 1 ESV

19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; 20 for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. 21 Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless.

Matthew 12

33“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, for the tree is known by its fruit. 34 You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.35 The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil. 36 I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, 37 for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Very soon the truths of the bible will not be tolerated. We can see it happening now. Many have become slaves of corruption while falsely declaring themselves righteous. If we do not put God’s word into our hearts we could also be misled.

2Timothy 4

3For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

2 Peter 2:10-19 NWT

Daring and self-willed, they are not afraid to speak abusively of glorious ones, 11 whereas angels, although they are greater in strength and power, do not bring against them an accusation in abusive terms, out of respect for Jehovah. 12 But these men, like unreasoning animals that act on instinct and are born to be caught and destroyed, speak abusively about things of which they are ignorant. They will suffer destruction brought on by their own destructive course, 13 suffering harm as their reward for their own harmful course. They consider it pleasurable to indulge in luxurious living, even in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes who revel in their deceptive teachings while feasting together with you. 14 Their eyes are full of adultery and are unable to desist from sin, and they entice unstable ones. They have a heart trained in greed. They are accursed children. 15 Abandoning the straight path, they have been led astray. They have followed the path of Baʹlaam the son of Beʹor, who loved the reward of wrongdoing, 16 but was reproved for his own violation of what was right. A voiceless beast of burden speaking with a human voice hindered the prophet’s mad course. 17 These are waterless springs and mists driven by a violent storm, and the blackest darkness has been reserved for them. 18 They make high-sounding statements that are empty. By appealing to the desires of the flesh and with acts of brazen conduct, they entice people who have just escaped from those who live in error. 19 While they are promising them freedom, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for if anyone is overcome by someone, he is his slave.

Very soon the beast will ban true worship and attack God’s people. When this happens all those who oppose the truth will meet their end and be destroyed. They will take our bibles and punish anyone who is caught with one. Many from false religion will side with the beast also in the battle. This will provoke God to give Jesus the command to end all this corruption and sin and to save those who have been seeking Jehovah with an honest heart.

Revelation 16 NWT

13 And I saw three unclean inspired expressions that looked like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the wild beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 They are, in fact, expressions inspired by demons and they perform signs, and they go out to the kings of the entire inhabited earth, to gather them together to the war of the great day of God the Almighty. 15 “Look! I am coming as a thief. Happy is the one who stays awake and keeps his outer garments, so that he may not walk naked and people look upon his shamefulness.”

Revelation 19 NWT

19  And I saw the wild beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the one seated on the horse and against his army. 20 And the wild beast was caught, and along with it the false prophet that performed in front of it the signs with which he misled those who received the mark of the wild beast and those who worship its image. While still alive, they both were hurled into the fiery lake that burns with sulfur. 21 But the rest were killed off with the long sword that proceeded out of the mouth of the one seated on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Matthew 24 NWT

7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.9 “Then people will hand you over to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations on account of my name. 10 Then, too, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will arise and mislead many; 12 and because of the increasing of lawlessness, the love of the greater number will grow cold. 13 But the one who has endured to the end will be saved.

I have posted on who the beast is, it is the disgusting thing mentioned. When this occurs we are to flee just as Jehovah’s people had to in the past when he had judged a nation. Only this time it will be on a world wide scale. Even now many nations have started to attack true worship so we know it has begun and we need to prepare our hearts so we will have God’s word written on them when they start taking his words from us.

Matthew 24 NWT

15 “Therefore, when you catch sight of the disgusting thing that causes desolation, as spoken about by Daniel the prophet, standing in a holy placer (let the reader use discernment), 16 then let those in Ju·deʹa begin fleeing to the mountains. 17 Let the man on the housetop not come down to take the goods out of his house,18 and let the man in the field not return to pick up his outer garment. 19 Woe to the pregnant women and those nursing a baby in those days! 20 Keep praying that your flight may not occur in wintertime nor on the Sabbath day;21 for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. 22 In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short.

Those who have been causing the tribulation and will cause it will be punished with everlasting destruction.

2 Thessalonians 1:6-10 NWT

6 This takes into account that it is righteous on God’s part to repay tribulation to those who make tribulation for you. 7 But you who suffer tribulation will be given relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels 8 in a flaming fire, as he brings vengeance on those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus. 9 These very ones will undergo the judicial punishment of everlasting destruction from before the Lord and from the glory of his strength, 10 at the time when he comes to be glorified in connection with his holy ones and to be regarded in that day with wonder among all those who exercised faith, because the witness we gave met with faith among you.

Only those who have written God’s word on their hearts will escape. Many will continue on just as they did in Noah’s day not seeing that the end is near so they will not escape the destruction that is coming. This is why now more then ever it is important to write God’s word on our hearts.

1 Thessalonians 5 NWT

5 Now as for the times and the seasons, brothers, you need nothing to be written to you. 2 For you yourselves know very well that Jehovah’s day is coming exactly as a thief in the night. 3 Whenever it is that they are saying, “Peace and security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly on them, just like birth pains on a pregnant woman, and they will by no means escape. 4 But you, brothers, you are not in darkness, so that the day should overtake you as it would thieves, 5 for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We belong neither to night nor to darkness.

Matthew 24 NWT

36 “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be. 38 For as they were in those days before the Flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, 39 and they took no note until the Flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be.

We must avoid the things that have resulted in those God had judged in times past that blinded them so they did not see the destruction that was coming, so we will not be blinded and escape the destruction that is coming soon we must stay awake and write God’s word on our hearts.

Luke 21 NWT

Play

34 “But pay attention to yourselves that your hearts never become weighed down with overeating and heavy drinking and anxieties of life, and suddenly that day be instantly upon you 35 as a snare. For it will come upon all those dwelling on the face of the whole earth.36 Keep awake, then, all the time making supplicatione that you may succeed in escaping all these things that must occur and in standing before the Son of man.

We do not need to fear when these things begin to occur. It should be happy times for us because it is an indication that deliverance is near and we only have a little longer to endure.

Luke 21 NWT

28 But as these things start to occur, stand up straight and lift up your heads, because your deliverance is getting near.”

Joel NWT

21 Do not be afraid, O land. Be joyful and rejoice, for Jehovah will do great things. 22 Do not be afraid, you beasts of the field, For the pastures of the wilderness will become green, And the trees will bear fruit; The fig tree and the vine must give their full yield. 23 You sons of Zion, be joyful and rejoice in Jehovah your God; For he will give you the autumn rain in the right amount, And he will send upon you a downpour, The autumn rain and the spring rain, as before. 24 The threshing floors will be full of pure grain, And the presses will overflow with new wine and oil. 25 And I will make compensation to you for the years That the swarming locust, the unwinged locust, the voracious locust, and the devouring locust have eaten, My great army that I sent among you. 26 You will surely eat to satisfaction, And you will praise the name of Jehovah your God, Who has done wonders in your behalf; My people will never again be put to shame. 27 And you will have to know that I am in the midst of Israel And that I am Jehovah your God—there is no other! My people will never again be put to shame.

How can someone put God to the test?

If you don't read it how can you have faith.

Written By Lee Stevenson

This was inspired by something someone said to me. They were eating foods that are known to cause chronic illness. They said that they could eat what they wanted because God would protect them. Jesus would not willfully put himself in harms way to test God and we should follow his example. By willfully putting ourselves in harms way then we are testing God which is something we are told not to do.

Why would Jesus not test God? What harm would it do? Why our trials and tribulation should not cause us to put Jehovah to the test.

As you read the scriptures you will see two examples of how Israel tested God. They tried tempting him and they also lacked faith and constantly ask for proof that he could do as he promised. It also includes whether we believe God’s word is true or not. Jesus had no doubt about the truth of God’s word and quoted it to show Satan the Devil that he did not doubt what Jehovah could do and did not doubt Jehovah’s word.

(Matthew 4:5-7) 5 Then the Devil took him along into the holy city, and he stationed him on the battlement of the temple 6 and said to him: “If you are a son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written: ‘He will give his angels a command concerning you,’ and, ‘They will carry you on their hands, so that you may not strike your foot against a stone.’” 7 Jesus said to him: “Again it is written: ‘You must not put Jehovah your God to the test.’”

Testing God is a sin, it is saying we do not believe him and that we do not have faith that he can or will save us and fulfill his promises.

(Psalm 78:16-22) 16 He brought streams out of a crag And caused waters to flow down like rivers. 17 But they continued to sin against him By rebelling against the Most High in the desert; 18 They challenged God in their heart By demanding food that they craved. 19 So they spoke against God, Saying: “Can God spread a table in the wilderness?” 20 Look! He struck a rock So that waters flowed and streams flooded out. “Can he also give us bread, Or can he provide meat for his people?” 21 When Jehovah heard them, he became furious; A fire blazed against Jacob, And his anger flared up against Israel 22 Because they did not put faith in God; They did not trust in his ability to save them. . .

Many in Israel seen Jehovah’s miracles first hand and still lacked faith. It was their sins and vanity that caused their lack of faith. This often times resulted in Jehovah having to destroy them because they were spreading their sinful nature and causing others to lose faith.

(Numbers 14:20-24) 20 Then Jehovah said: “I forgive them according to your word. 21 But on the other hand, as surely as I live, all the earth will be filled with the glory of Jehovah. 22 However, not one of the men who have seen my glory and my signs that I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness and yet have kept testing me these ten times and have not listened to my voice 23 will ever see the land about which I swore to their fathers. No, not one of those treating me without respect will see it. 24 But because my servant Caʹleb had a different spirit and kept following after me wholeheartedly, I will certainly bring him into the land where he went, and his offspring will take possession of it.

(Psalm 106:14-18) 14 They gave way to their selfish desires in the wilderness; They tested God in the desert. 15 He gave them what they requested, But then struck them with disease that made them waste away. 16 In the camp they grew jealous of Moses And of Aaron, the holy one of Jehovah. 17 The earth then opened up and swallowed Daʹthan And covered those assembled with A·biʹram. 18 A fire blazed among their group; A flame consumed the wicked.

These things happened as an example to teach us not to listen to murmurers who are causing division or causing us to lose faith. Those who listened would continually put Jehovah to the test. We need to be like A’haz he refused to put Jehovah to the test.

(1 Corinthians 10:8-11) . . .. 9 Neither let us put Jehovah to the test, as some of them put him to the test, only to perish by the serpents. 10 Neither be murmurers, as some of them murmured, only to perish by the destroyer. 11 Now these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for a warning to us upon whom the ends of the systems of things have come.

A’haz’s faith was very strong , he refused to put Jehovah to the test even though there were very fearful things happening. We are going to experience very fearful things very soon but we must stay strong and just as A’haz refused to put Jehovah to the test he held tight to his trust in Jehovah’s ability to save those remaining loyal and obedient to Jehovah.

(Isaiah 7:3-12) 3 Jehovah then said to Isaiah: “Go out, please, to meet Aʹhaz, you and your son Sheʹar-jaʹshub, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool by the highway of the laundryman’s field. 4 You must say to him, ‘Take care to stay calm. Do not be afraid, and do not lose heart because of these two stumps of smoldering logs, because of the hot anger of Reʹzin and Syria and the son of Rem·a·liʹah. 5 For Syria with Eʹphra·im and the son of Rem·a·liʹah have plotted harm against you, saying: 6 “Let us go up against Judah and tear it apart and conquer it for ourselves, and let us appoint the son of Tabʹe·el as its king.”  7 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah says: “It will not succeed, Nor will it take place.  8 For the head of Syria is Damascus, And the head of Damascus is Reʹzin. Within just 65 years Eʹphra·im will be completely shattered and cease to be a people.  9 The head of Eʹphra·im is Sa·marʹi·a, And the head of Sa·marʹi·a is the son of Rem·a·liʹah. Unless you have firm faith, You will not be firmly established.”’” 10 Jehovah continued speaking to Aʹhaz: 11 “Ask for a sign from Jehovah your God; it may be as deep as the Grave or as high as the sky.” 12 But Aʹhaz said: “I will not ask, nor will I put Jehovah to the test.”

Through our tribulation God is teaching us , building our endurance and helping us to endure things most could not dream of enduring and surviving. Those who tested Jehovah in the past left their imperfections guide their actions. We have Jehovah’s word to guide us and now more then ever it is very important to write it on our hearts because very soon it will be taken from us and all we will have left of his word is what we have written on our hearts. We know it is his word that is going to carry us through all this.

(1 Peter 5:6-11) 6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in due time, 7 while you throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you. 8 Keep your senses, be watchful! Your adversary, the Devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking to devour someone. 9 But take your stand against him, firm in the faith, knowing that the same kind of sufferings are being experienced by the entire association of your brothers in the world. 10 But after you have suffered a little while, the God of all undeserved kindness, who called you to his everlasting glory in union with Christ, will himself finish your training. He will make you firm, he will make you strong, he will firmly ground you. 11 To him be the might forever. Amen.

(James 1:12-15) 12 Happy is the man who keeps on enduring trial, because on becoming approved he will receive the crown of life, which Jehovah promised to those who continue loving Him. 13 When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone. 14 But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn sin, when it has been carried out, brings forth death.

We are not promised it will be easy but because we know God can and will save his loyal ones we have a peace that will help us endure many types of trials and tribulation.

(Philippians 4:4-7) 4 Always rejoice in the Lord. Again I will say, Rejoice! 5 Let your reasonableness become known to all men. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.

Jesus stated the student is no better then the teacher. The world and the wicked one hated him and it will hate those who faithfully follow Jehovah and submit to the authority given his only begotten son Jesus. So one who worships faithfully in truth will be treated no better then our teacher and king Jesus Christ. It does not mean you fell out of favor if you are suffering or if you are being attacked though many who false reason believe that to be so.

(1 Peter 4:12-14) 12 Beloved ones, do not be surprised about the fiery trials that you are experiencing, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 On the contrary, go on rejoicing over the extent to which you are sharers in the sufferings of the Christ, so that you may rejoice and be overjoyed also during the revelation of his glory. 14 If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy, because the spirit of glory, yes, the spirit of God, is resting upon you.

(2 Timothy 3:11-13) . . .I endured these persecutions, and the Lord rescued me from them all. 12 In fact, all those desiring to live with godly devotion in association with Christ Jesus will also be persecuted. 13 But wicked men and impostors will advance from bad to worse, misleading and being misled. . .

When we suffer trials it exposes our weaknesses so we can work on them and become spiritually stronger and wiser.

(Deuteronomy 8:1-5) . . .. 2 Remember the long road that Jehovah your God made you walk these 40 years in the wilderness, to humble you and to put you to the test so as to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not. 3 So he humbled you and let you go hungry and fed you with the manna, which neither you had known nor your fathers had known, in order to make you know that man does not live by bread alone but man lives by every expression from Jehovah’s mouth. 4 The clothing you wore did not wear out, nor did your feet become swollen these 40 years. 5 You well know in your heart that just as a man corrects his son, Jehovah your God was correcting you.

(James 1:2-8) 2 Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you meet with various trials, 3 knowing as you do that this tested quality of your faith produces endurance. 4 But let endurance complete its work, so that you may be complete and sound in all respects, not lacking in anything. 5 So if any one of you is lacking in wisdom, let him keep asking God, for he gives generously to all and without reproaching, and it will be given him. 6 But let him keep asking in faith, not doubting at all, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven by the wind and blown about. 7 In fact, that man should not expect to receive anything from Jehovah; 8 he is an indecisive man, unsteady in all his ways.

For those who like videos here is a wonderful video on examples of when others have put Jehovah to the test.

Who is Babylon The Great?

If you don't read it how can you have faith.

Babylon the Great who is she? We know she cannot be a political entity because the kings of the earth and merchants will mourn over her death. We know she would claim to be God’s representative on earth and convince many to follow her in her false worship. Baal worship was very similar to true worship but was not acceptable to God. Many of Gods people in times past were lured into Baal worship. We have to know what God requires in order to be able to avoid being part of Babylon the great.

(Jeremiah 51:7, 8) Babylon has been a golden cup in the hand of Jehovah; She made all the earth drunk. From her wine the nations have drunk; That is why the nations have gone mad.  8 Suddenly Babylon has fallen and is broken. Wail over her! Get balsam for her pain; perhaps she may be healed.”

We know the bible tells us not to put our faith in man and human governments but to put our faith in the Heavenly Kingdom. The Harlot also known as Babylon the Great will prostitute herself out to governments so she will be heavily involved in the political system and have a heavy influence on it.

(Revelation 17:1, 2) One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me: “Come, I will show you the judgment on the great prostitute who sits on many waters, 2 with whom the kings of the earth committed sexual immorality, and earth’s inhabitants were made drunk with the wine of her sexual immorality.”

(Revelation 18:2, 3) And he cried out with a strong voice, saying: “She has fallen! Babylon the Great has fallen, and she has become a dwelling place of demons and a place where every unclean spirit and every unclean and hated bird lurks! 3 For because of the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality, all the nations have fallen victim, and the kings of the earth committed sexual immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth became rich owing to the power of her shameless luxury

(Revelation 17:3-5) . . .. 4 The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and she was adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, and she had in her hand a golden cup that was full of disgusting things and the unclean things of her sexual immorality. 5 On her forehead was written a name, a mystery: “Babylon the Great, the mother of the prostitutes and of the disgusting things of the earth.. . .

It is clear that Babylon the Great represents an international entity but who is it? Babylon the Greats influence will be world wide. God is going to put it into mans heart to destroy Babylon the Great and those who refuse to get out of her.

(Revelation 17:15-18) . . .. 16 And the ten horns that you saw and the wild beast, these will hate the prostitute and will make her devastated and naked, and they will eat up her flesh and completely burn her with fire. 17 For God put it into their hearts to carry out his thought, yes, to carry out their one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God will have been accomplished. 18 And the woman whom you saw means the great city that has a kingdom over the kings of the earth.”

(Isaiah 47:1, 2) 47 Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon. Sit down on the ground where there is no throne, O daughter of the Chal·deʹans, For never again will people call you delicate and pampered.  2 Take a hand mill and grind flour. Remove your veil. Strip off your skirt, uncover your legs. Cross over the rivers.

We get a clue in Isaiah and Jeremiah when Jehovah is speaking about Babylon. He is mentioning things that false religion participated in, things he forbids us to do. Things like casting spells, going to fortune tellers and using idols and images in their worship.

(Isaiah 47:11-15) 11 But calamity will come upon you, And none of your charms will stop it. Adversity will befall you; you will not be able to avert it. Sudden ruin will come upon you like you have never known. 12 Go ahead, then, with your spells and your many sorceries, With which you have toiled from your youth. Perhaps you may be able to benefit; Perhaps you may strike people with awe. 13 You have grown weary with the multitude of your advisers. Let them stand up now and save you, Those who worship the heavens, who gaze at the stars, Those giving out knowledge at the new moons About the things that will come upon you. 14 Look! They are like stubble. A fire will burn them up. They cannot save themselves from the power of the flame. These are not charcoals for keeping warm, And this is not a fire to sit in front of. 15 So your charmers will become to you, Those with whom you toiled from your youth. They will wander, each one in his own direction. There will be no one to save you.

(Jeremiah 50:1-3) 50 The word that Jehovah spoke concerning Babylon, concerning the land of the Chal·deʹans, through Jeremiah the prophet:  2 “Declare it among the nations and proclaim it. Raise a signal and proclaim it. Do not hide anything! Say, ‘Babylon has been captured. Bel has been put to shame. Merʹo·dach has become terrified. Her images have been put to shame. Her disgusting idols have become terrified.’  3 For a nation has come against her from the north. It makes her land an object of horror; No one is dwelling in her. Both man and beast have taken flight; They have gone away.”

(Jeremiah 50:38) 38 There is a devastation on her waters, and they will be dried up. For it is a land of graven images, And because of their frightful visions they keep acting with madness.

Rulers of Babylon exalted themselves over Jehovah and again God mentions false worship being involved. They had stolen the Gold from the temple of the Israelite’s and were drinking from the cups. That was something only certain ones among Israel had a right to do. It was up to God who had that right so they were taunting God by deliberately disobeying him.

(Daniel 5:22, 23) 22 “But you, his son Bel·shazʹzar, have not humbled your heart, although you knew all of this. 23 Instead, you exalted yourself against the Lord of the heavens, and you had them bring you the vessels of his house. Then you and your nobles, your concubines and your secondary wives drank wine from them and praised gods of silver and gold, of copper, iron, wood, and stone, gods that see nothing and hear nothing and know nothing. But you have not glorified the God in whose hand is your breath and all your ways.

(Revelation 18:23, 24) 23 No light of a lamp will ever shine in you again, and no voice of a bridegroom and of a bride will ever be heard in you again; for your merchants were the top-ranking men of the earth, and by your spiritistic practices all the nations were misled. 24 Yes, in her was found the blood of prophets and of holy ones and of all those who have been slaughtered on the earth.”

(Deuteronomy 18:10, 11) There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs divination, anyone practicing magic, anyone who looks for omens, a sorcerer, 11 anyone binding others with a spell, anyone who consults a spirit medium or a fortune-teller, or anyone who inquires of the dead.

So you can see the prostitution is spiritual prostitution.

(Leviticus 20:6) 6 “‘As for the person who turns to the spirit mediums and the fortune-tellers so as to commit spiritual prostitution with them, I will certainly turn against that person and cut him off from his people. . .

(Exodus 34:14-17) 14 You must not bow down to another god, for Jehovah is known for requiring exclusive devotion. Yes, he is a God who requires exclusive devotion. 15 Be careful not to make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, because when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to their gods, someone will invite you and you will eat from his sacrifice. 16 Then you will surely take some of their daughters for your sons, and their daughters will prostitute themselves to their gods and cause your sons to prostitute themselves to their gods. 17 “You must not make gods of cast metal.

So we can see the harlot riding the beast is Babylon the Great which is false religion who claims to have the right to drink from the golden cup but in actuality are like those in Babylon they would be arrogant and unwilling to change. They would put their faith in worldly things and have a lot of influence on world governments. Instead of putting their faith in the heavenly kingdom they would believe they can change the world.

(James 4:4) 4 Adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever, therefore, wants to be a friend of the world is making himself an enemy of God.

(Revelation 18:4-8) 4 And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her, my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues. 5 For her sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind. 6 Repay her in the way she treated others, yes, pay her back double for the things she has done; in the cup she has mixed, mix a double portion for her. 7 To the extent that she glorified herself and lived in shameless luxury, to that extent give her torment and mourning. For she keeps saying in her heart: ‘I sit as queen, and I am not a widow, and I will never see mourning.’ 8 That is why in one day her plagues will come, death and mourning and famine, and she will be completely burned with fire, because Jehovah God, who judged her, is strong.

There would be many prostitutes spreading the false worship. So there would be many types of false religion linked to Babylon the great.

(Revelation 17:15) 15 He said to me: “The waters that you saw, where the prostitute is sitting, mean peoples and crowds and nations and tongues.

If we do not want to be a part of Babylon we must worship in truth. We must follow the path Jesus laid out. We are not to use idols or images in our worship. We are to worship only Jehovah God and to approach him in prayer to our king Jesus Christ. The bible tells us we cannot be a part of Babylon and a part of true worship.

(2 Corinthians 6:14-17) 14 Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with darkness? 15 Further, what harmony is there between Christ and Beʹli·al? Or what does a believer share in common with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement does God’s temple have with idols? For we are a temple of a living God; just as God said: “I will reside among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” 17 “‘Therefore, get out from among them, and separate yourselves,’ says Jehovah, ‘and quit touching the unclean thing’”; “‘and I will take you in.. . .

We do not want to prostitute ourselves to false religion.

(Judges 2:17) 17 But they refused to listen even to the judges and would prostitute themselves to other gods and bow down to them. They quickly turned aside from the way in which their forefathers had walked, those who had obeyed the commandments of Jehovah. They failed to do that.

(Judges 8:33) 33 As soon as Gidʹe·on died, the Israelites again committed spiritual prostitution with the Baʹals, and they appointed Baʹal-beʹrith as their god. . .

(Psalm 106:35-39) 35 But they mingled with the nations And adopted their ways. 36 They kept serving their idols, And these became a snare to them. 37 They would sacrifice their sons And their daughters to demons. 38 They kept spilling innocent blood, The blood of their own sons and daughters Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Caʹnaan; And the land was polluted with bloodshed. 39 They became unclean by their works; They committed spiritual prostitution by their deeds. . .

We cannot claim to love God yet participate in the things the world does that our heavenly father does not approve of.

(Matthew 6:24) 24 “No one can slave for two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stick to the one and despise the other. You cannot slave for God and for Riches. . .

(1 John 2:15-17) 15 Do not love either the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him; 16 because everything in the world—the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one’s means of life—does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world. 17 Furthermore, the world is passing away and so is its desire, but the one who does the will of God remains forever.

(2 Peter 2:1-3) 2 However, there also came to be false prophets among the people, as there will also be false teachers among you. These will quietly bring in destructive sects, and they will even disown the owner who bought them, bringing speedy destruction upon themselves. 2 Furthermore, many will follow their brazen conduct, and because of them the way of the truth will be spoken of abusively. 3 Also, they will greedily exploit you with counterfeit words. But their judgment, decided long ago, is not moving slowly, and their destruction is not sleeping. . .

We know the bible prophesied when the last of the apostles died true worship would seize for a time. Then it would be restored. We cannot let Babylon the Great deceive us because now more then ever true worship is very important. The bible made it clear there is only one truth.

(Revelation 21:2) I also saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband

(Colossians 2:8, 9) 8 Look out that no one takes you captive by means of the philosophy and empty deception according to human tradition, according to the elementary things of the world and not according to Christ; 9 because it is in him that all the fullness of the divine quality dwells bodily.

(Isaiah 1:24-26) 24 Therefore the true Lord, Jehovah of armies, The Powerful One of Israel, declares: “Ah! I will rid myself of my adversaries, And I will take revenge on my enemies. 25 I will turn my hand against you, I will smelt away your dross as with lye, And I will remove all your impurities. 26 I will restore your judges as in the beginning And your advisers as at the start. After this you will be called City of Righteousness, Faithful Town. . .

God requires exclusive devotion, he is the one true God.

(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) 4 Now concerning the eating of food offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world and that there is no God but one. 5 For even though there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” 6 there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and we through him.

(Matthew 23:8-12) . . .. 9 Moreover, do not call anyone your father on earth, for one is your Father, the heavenly One. 10 Neither be called leaders, for your Leader is one, the Christ. 11 But the greatest one among you must be your minister. 12 Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. . .

Now you can see that Babylon the Great is false religion. Since false religion opposes Christ this would also make them a part of the antichrist. I have also written about the antichrist you can learn more at the following link.

https://iamajuicer.wordpress.com/2018/08/23/who-is-the-antichrist/

Being no part of the world and persecution.

If you don't read it how can you have faith.

Being not part of the world means we will be persecuted. Some is obvious and some like with Job is not obvious. Being no part of the world means the world will hate you. We have to remember those who choose God as their king instead of man will be opposing the world. In doing so the world will hate you.

(Hebrews 10:32-39) 32 However, keep remembering the former days in which, after you were enlightened, you endured a great struggle along with sufferings. 33 At times you were publicly exposed both to reproaches and to tribulations, and at times you shared with those who were having such an experience. 34 For you expressed sympathy for those in prison and you accepted joyfully the plundering of your belongings, knowing that you yourselves have a better and an enduring possession. 35 Therefore, do not throw away your boldness, which will be richly rewarded. 36 For you need endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the fulfillment of the promise. 37 For yet “a very little while,” and “the one who is coming will arrive and will not delay.” 38 “But my righteous one will live by reason of faith,” and “if he shrinks back, I have no pleasure in him.” 39 Now we are not the sort who shrink back to destruction, but the sort who have faith for the preserving of our lives. . .

(Matthew 5:11, 12) 11 “Happy are you when people reproach you and persecute you and lyingly say every sort of wicked thing against you for my sake. 12 Rejoice and be overjoyed, since your reward is great in the heavens, for in that way they persecuted the prophets prior to you. . .

Nothing has changed as a matter of fact the end of this system is near so Satan and his people will increase in badness and also in their persecution of those who choose to follow our king Jesus instead of man. This is nothing new they have always persecuted those who chose to be not part of the world.

(2 Chronicles 36:16) But they kept ridiculing the messengers of the true God, and they despised his words and mocked his prophets, until the rage of Jehovah came up against his people, until they were beyond healing.

(Acts 7:52) Which one of the prophets did your forefathers not persecute? Yes, they killed those who announced in advance the coming of the righteous one, whose betrayers and murderers you have now become

Jehovah did not forget what they had done in his name. In his word he even declared that the world was not worthy of them. They remained faithful and God remembered what they had done and what they endured.

(Hebrews 11:37-40) 37 They were stoned, they were tried, they were sawn in two, they were slaughtered by the sword, they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins, while they were in need, in tribulation, mistreated; 38 and the world was not worthy of them. They wandered about in deserts and mountains and caves and dens of the earth.

We have born witness to them and delivered the good news of the kingdom. When it is time to flee there blood is on their own hands. We will have no guilt because we have warned them and tried to show them there is a better future hope. Their actions towards us shows who’s side they have chosen. We need to shake the dust from our feet and spend time with those who receive the message in a favorable way. We all want to be loved but we have been warned about the love of the greater number cooling off so hatred would abound world wide. But we do know that our heavenly father and his son Jesus love us and even death cannot separate us from their love.

(John 15:17-22) 17 “These things I command you, that you love one another. 18 If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, for this reason the world hates you. 20 Keep in mind the word I said to you: A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have observed my word, they will also observe yours. 21 But they will do all these things against you on account of my name, because they do not know the One who sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin. But now they have no excuse for their sin. . .

(Romans 8:35-39) 35 Who will separate us from the love of the Christ? Will tribulation or distress or persecution or hunger or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 Just as it is written: “For your sake we are being put to death all day long; we have been accounted as sheep for slaughtering.” 37 On the contrary, in all these things we are coming off completely victorious through the one who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor governments nor things now here nor things to come nor powers 39 nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We know that all the signs are in place and that deliverance is near and our heavenly father is ready to give his son the command to set matters straight.

(Luke 21:26-28) 26 People will become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 But as these things start to occur, stand up straight and lift up your heads, because your deliverance is getting near.”

We are in the final minutes of this system and the end will be sudden so we must stay alert and draw even closer to Jehovah now more then ever.

(Luke 21:34-36) 34 “But pay attention to yourselves that your hearts never become weighed down with overeating and heavy drinking and anxieties of life, and suddenly that day be instantly upon you 35 as a snare. For it will come upon all those dwelling on the face of the whole earth. 36 Keep awake, then, all the time making supplication that you may succeed in escaping all these things that must occur and in standing before the Son of man.. . .

(1 Thessalonians 5:1-11) . . .. 6 So, then, let us not sleep on as the rest do, but let us stay awake and keep our senses. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8 But as for us who belong to the day, let us keep our senses and put on the breastplate of faith and love and the hope of salvation as a helmet 9 because God assigned us, not to wrath, but to the acquiring of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died for us, so that whether we stay awake or are asleep, we should live together with him. 11 Therefore, keep encouraging one another and building one another up, just as you are in fact doing.

Our endurance will be rewarded if we do not give out.

(Romans 5:3-5) 3 Not only that, but let us rejoice while in tribulations, since we know that tribulation produces endurance; 4 endurance, in turn, an approved condition; the approved condition, in turn, hope, 5 and the hope does not lead to disappointment; because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the holy spirit, which was given to us.

15 Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn sin, when it has been carried out, brings forth death. . .

Some of us will walk through the great tribulation into the new system, and some will be resurrected into the new system. We can let sin have master over us or Jehovah. The promises of sin  is death. God gives hope of life if we are a slave for him. Either way we will be a slave, which master we choose determines if we have a future hope or not.

(Romans 6:15-17) 15 What follows? Are we to commit a sin because we are not under law but under undeserved kindness? Certainly not! 16 Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey, either of sin leading to death or of obedience leading to righteousness? 17 But thanks to God that although you were once the slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that pattern of teaching to which you were handed over.

(Romans 6:22, 23) . . .. 23 For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord. . .

(Matthew 25:46) These will depart into everlasting cutting-off, but the righteous ones into everlasting life

Being No Part of The World.

Because we cannot entirely be no part of the world we must do our best not to imitate the world or get caught up in worldly things. We need to learn to balance things.

(John 17:15-19) 15 “I do not request that you take them out of the world, but that you watch over them because of the wicked one. 16 They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world. 17 Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth. 18 Just as you sent me into the world, I also sent them into the world. 19 And I am sanctifying myself in their behalf, so that they also may be sanctified by means of truth.

Following Jesus example will help us in being no part of the world. He set such a good example to followed that the bible tells us he conquered the world because no matter what persecution, or harm he experienced he never lost faith and never became a slave to sin. There is a lot of deception in the world , now more then ever the line between right is wrong has been severely blurred. We have to remember it is Jehovah God who determines what is right and what is wrong. We are seeing the final result of mans rebellion against God which started in the garden of Eden when Adam and Eve decided that man would decide what was right and what was wrong for themselves.

(John 16:32, 33) . . .. 33 I have said these things to you so that by means of me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but take courage! I have conquered the world.. . .

(1 John 4:4-6) 4 You originate with God, little children, and you have conquered them, because the one who is in union with you is greater than the one who is in union with the world. 5 They originate with the world; that is why they speak what originates with the world and the world listens to them. 6 We originate with God. Whoever comes to know God listens to us; whoever does not originate with God does not listen to us. By this we distinguish the inspired statement of truth from the inspired statement of error. . .

(Genesis 3:4-6) 4 At this the serpent said to the woman: “You certainly will not die. 5 For God knows that in the very day you eat from it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and bad.” 6 Consequently, the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was something desirable to the eyes, yes, the tree was pleasing to look at. So she began taking of its fruit and eating it. Afterward, she also gave some to her husband when he was with her, and he began eating it. . .

Jesus was humble and did not act superior to others. Even though he knew he was God’s only begotten son and would be seated on the throne in the heavenly kingdom he never acted superior. He even washed the apostles feet which was something servants usually did.

(Luke 22:24-27) 24 However, there also arose a heated dispute among them over which one of them was considered to be the greatest. 25 But he said to them: “The kings of the nations lord it over them, and those having authority over them are called Benefactors. 26 You, though, are not to be that way. But let the one who is the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the one taking the lead as the one ministering. 27 For which one is greater, the one dining or the one serving? Is it not the one dining? But I am among you as the one serving. . .

(John 13:2-10) . . .. 3 So Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands and that he came from God and was going to God, 4 got up from the evening meal and laid aside his outer garments. And taking a towel, he wrapped it around his waist. 5 After that he put water into a basin and started to wash the feet of the disciples and to dry them off with the towel that was wrapped around him. 6 Then he came to Simon Peter. He said to him: “Lord, are you washing my feet?” 7 Jesus answered him: “What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will understand after these things.” 8 Peter said to him: “You will certainly never wash my feet.” Jesus answered him: “Unless I wash you, you have no share with me.” 9 Simon Peter said to him: “Lord, wash not only my feet but also my hands and my head.” 10 Jesus said to him: “Whoever has bathed does not need to have more than his feet washed, but is completely clean. . .

Many look down on others because of their gender, race, origin and even their financial status. We are to never imitate that behavior.

(Philippians 2:3, 4) 3 Do nothing out of contentiousness or out of egotism, but with humility consider others superior to you, 4 as you look out not only for your own interests, but also for the interests of others.

(Galatians 3:27-29) . . .. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor freeman, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in union with Christ Jesus. 29 Moreover, if you belong to Christ, you are really Abraham’s offspring, heirs with reference to a promise. . .

We are to treat others as we would want to be treated, many will go through the gate that leads to destruction. We must do our best to keep on the path to the narrow gate. We give witness to God’s glory when we love those hating us and when we endure the wickedness directed towards us with humility. Anyone can love those who love them but knowing God and writing his world in our hearts will teach us to let love guide all we do. We are not to hate anyone. We can hate what they do but if we hate them we are judging them. We cannot read their hearts Jesus is the judge and our king he earned that position and there is no one better qualified other then God himself. It would be arrogant on our part if we believed we could read what is in another’s heart and judged them. We must learn to be merciful just as Jesus was. The apostles made many errors. He kindly corrected them , he never struck back at his enemies or harmed them.

(Luke 6:27-36) 27 “But I say to you who are listening: Continue to love your enemies, to do good to those hating you, 28 to bless those cursing you, to pray for those who are insulting you. 29 To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also; and from him who takes away your outer garment, do not withhold the inner garment either. 30 Give to everyone asking you, and from the one taking your things away, do not ask them back. 31 “Also, just as you want men to do to you, do the same way to them. 32 “If you love those loving you, of what credit is it to you? For even the sinners love those loving them. 33 And if you do good to those doing good to you, of what credit is it to you? Even the sinners do the same. 34 Also, if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, of what credit is it to you? Even sinners lend to sinners so that they may get back as much. 35 On the contrary, continue to love your enemies and to do good and to lend without hoping for anything back; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind toward the unthankful and wicked. 36 Continue being merciful, just as your Father is merciful. If we do not show mercy how can we expect to receive mercy from God?

(James 2:13) For the one who does not practice mercy will have his judgment without mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

We must learn to forgive others keeping in mind we are also imperfect.

(Matthew 6:15) whereas if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses

There is a contrast between the world and those who have been blessed with the spirit. The fruits they produce are very clear and those producing the fruit stand out because of the blurred lines between right from wrong most are oblivious that the are sinning against Jehovah but our behavior will separate us from others.

(2 Timothy 3:1-7) 3 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. 6 From among these arise men who slyly work their way into households and captivate weak women loaded down with sins, led by various desires, 7 always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth.

(Galatians 5:19-21) 19 Now the works of the flesh are plainly seen, and they are sexual immorality, uncleanness, brazen conduct, 20 idolatry, spiritism, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, dissensions, divisions, sects, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and things like these. I am forewarning you about these things, the same way I already warned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.

(Galatians 5:22-26) 22 On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Moreover, those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed to the stake the flesh together with its passions and desires. 25 If we are living by spirit, let us also go on walking orderly by spirit. 26 Let us not become egotistical, stirring up competition with one another, envying one another.

What About Politics? Should we get involved?

We need to follow Jesus example. He knew that human rule was in opposition to God but he did not act disrespectful towards it because he knew our heavenly father had reasons for letting human rule over man continue. He also knew that mans rule would never solve all the problems on the earth. Man neither has the insight nor power that God has to make sure the things he promises gets fulfilled. Jesus put his faith in the heavenly kingdom but respected human authority. When they tried to seize him and make him king withdrew to the mountains. Jesus made it very clear that his kingdom was no part of the world. Even those with good intentions will not be able to see the whole picture as God can and will make decisions that will not be best for everyone. If they do things to help others , they will eventually die and what they have done will be undone by another. God is eternal so his kingdom will be everlasting.

(John 6:14, 15) 14 When the people saw the sign he performed, they began to say: “This really is the Prophet who was to come into the world.” 15 Then Jesus, knowing that they were about to come and seize him to make him king, withdrew again to the mountain all alone. . .

(John 18:36) 36 Jesus answered: “My Kingdom is no part of this world. If my Kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my Kingdom is not from this source.”

(Jeremiah 10:23) 23 I well know, O Jehovah, that man’s way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step. . .

God cannot be bought or corrupted as man can.

(Micah 7:3)  3 Their hands are expert at doing what is bad; The prince is making demands, The judge asks for a reward, The prominent one makes known his desires, And they work it out together.

As mentioned earlier man ruling over ourselves is in opposition to God. We are deciding what is right and wrong and we are seeing the finality of mans rule and the results of it. Our history has shown we do not have what it takes to know what is best for mankind we continue to make things worse and worse. It is clear that mans rule often times directly opposes God. One great final act of rebellion will be when all the kings of the earth join together with the wild beast which I have posted on who the beast is will join together in opposition to our king Jesus Christ and his people. We know Satan influences man and can easily manipulate them to oppose God. We also know he has already been judged so his destruction is inevitable.

(Luke 23:10, 11) However, the chief priests and the scribes kept standing up and vehemently accusing him. 11 Then Herod together with his soldiers treated him with contempt, and he mocked him by clothing him with a splendid garment and then sent him back to Pilate.

(Revelation 19:19) And I saw the wild beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the one seated on the horse and against his army.

(Ephesians 2:1, 2) 2 Furthermore, God made you alive, though you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you at one time walked according to the system of things of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience. . .

Satan had no hold on Jesus because he remained no part of the world. No one knows the father better then the only begotten son so he new that this system did not have what it would take to fulfill the future promises.

(John 12:31) Now there is a judging of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.

(John 14:30) I will not speak with you much more, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has no hold on me

(Luke 10:17-22) 17 Then the 70 returned with joy, saying: “Lord, even the demons are made subject to us by the use of your name.” 18 At that he said to them: “I see Satan already fallen like lightning from heaven. 19 Look! I have given you the authority to trample underfoot serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing at all will harm you. 20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice because the spirits are made subject to you, but rejoice because your names have been written in the heavens.” 21 In that very hour he became overjoyed in the holy spirit and said: “I publicly praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have carefully hidden these things from wise and intellectual ones and have revealed them to young children. Yes, O Father, because this is the way you approved. 22 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son is willing to reveal him.”

So by now you may be asking if they are in opposition to God why should we obey them and why does he tolerate them. We have to remember the original lie that man could decide what was right and what was wrong for themselves. If God interfered then there would still be doubt. Satan could still make that accusation and because things did not run their course the lie would not have been able to be proven to be the lie it is. Also by permitting human governments it does keep some sort of organization on the earth until Jehovah give Jesus the command to set matters straight. So opposing those authorities would be in opposition to God.

(Romans 13:1-4) 13 Let every person be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God. 2 Therefore, whoever opposes the authority has taken a stand against the arrangement of God; those who have taken a stand against it will bring judgment against themselves. 3 For those rulers are an object of fear, not to the good deed, but to the bad. Do you want to be free of fear of the authority? Keep doing good, and you will have praise from it; 4 for it is God’s minister to you for your good. But if you are doing what is bad, be in fear, for it is not without purpose that it bears the sword. It is God’s minister, an avenger to express wrath against the one practicing what is bad.

It is common for many to speak bad things against those in authority but we are not to speak bad of anyone. We are to expose corruption but not to speak ill of other for example making accusations as to their reasons. We can expose evidence we find but we should not judge them or accuse them that would be for the courts or if the courts ignore it then they all will answer to Jehovah on his great day.

(Titus 3:1, 2) 3 Continue reminding them to be in subjection and to be obedient to governments and authorities, to be ready for every good work, 2 to speak injuriously of no one, not to be quarrelsome, but to be reasonable, displaying all mildness toward all men.

There will come a time when we will have to obey God rather then men. God’s rule is over mans, very soon we will be given a choice to give obeisance to the beast or to obey God. God’s rule is always over mans if their laws go against God then he will have our backs. We have many examples of this occurring in the bible, Daniel is one of those times. We need to follow the examples of faithful ones in the bible , they did not get disrespectful or turn on the king but put faith in Jehovah.

(Acts 5:28-32) . . .” 29 In answer Peter and the other apostles said: “We must obey God as ruler rather than men. 30 The God of our forefathers raised up Jesus, whom you killed, hanging him on a stake. 31 God exalted this one as Chief Agent and Savior to his right hand, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are witnesses of these matters, and so is the holy spirit, which God has given to those obeying him as ruler.”

(Daniel 3:17, 18) If it must be, our God whom we serve is able to rescue us from the burning fiery furnace, O king, and to rescue us from your hand. 18 But even if he does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold that you have set up.

(Daniel 6:27) He rescues, saves, and performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth, for he rescued Daniel from the paw of the lions.”

So we need to stay alert but to do so in a way that would please Jehovah and our king Jesus. We do not need to be anxious we have God on our side. Many will walk through the great tribulation into the new system. Those who make it to the new earth will not remember the bad times. They will be replaced with good memories.

(Matthew 10:16) 16 “Look! I am sending you out as sheep among wolves; so prove yourselves cautious as serpents and yet innocent as doves. . .

(Matthew 10:19, 20) 19 However, when they hand you over, do not become anxious about how or what you are to speak, for what you are to speak will be given you in that hour; 20 for the ones speaking are not just you, but it is the spirit of your Father that speaks by you. . .

(Revelation 7:13-17) 13 In response one of the elders said to me: “These who are dressed in the white robes, who are they and where did they come from?” 14 So right away I said to him: “My lord, you are the one who knows.” And he said to me: “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 That is why they are before the throne of God, and they are rendering him sacred service day and night in his temple; and the One seated on the throne will spread his tent over them. 16 They will hunger no more nor thirst anymore, neither will the sun beat down on them nor any scorching heat, 17 because the Lamb, who is in the midst of the throne, will shepherd them and will guide them to springs of waters of life. And God will wipe out every tear from their eyes.”

(2 Peter 3:11-13) 11 Since all these things are to be dissolved in this way, consider what sort of people you ought to be in holy acts of conduct and deeds of godly devotion, 12 as you await and keep close in mind the presence of the day of Jehovah, through which the heavens will be destroyed in flames and the elements will melt in the intense heat! 13 But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell. . .

(Isaiah 65:17) 17 For look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be called to mind, Nor will they come up into the heart.

(Psalm 37:29) 29 The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it. . .

Bloodguilt is a sin that is not always obvious.

If you don't read it how can you have faith.
What is Bloodguilt?
At times the Hebrew word for “blood” (dam; plural, da·mim′) refers to guilt incurred by the shedding of innocent blood and is thus rendered “bloodguilt
This is a very complex one, for example If an Israelite killed a thief at the wrong time they could be bloodguilty.
(Exodus 22:2, 3) 2(“If a thief is found in the act of breaking in and he gets struck and dies, there is no bloodguilt for him. 3But if it happens after sunrise, there is bloodguilt for him.)
If we have an animal that poses a danger to others and we do not properly take care of the problem we could be bloodguilty.
(Exodus 21:28, 29) . 29But if a bull was in the habit of goring and its owner had been warned but he would not keep it under guard and it killed a man or a woman, the bull is to be stoned and its owner is also to be put to death.
If we do not warn those who do wicked things about their errors we could be bloodguilty.
If we do not warn others of what God requires of us we could be blood guilty.
(Ezekiel 3:17-21) 17“Son of man, I have appointed you as a watchman to the house of Israel; and when you hear a word from my mouth, you must warn them from me. 18When I say to someone wicked, ‘You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him, and you fail to speak in order to warn the wicked one to turn from his wicked course so that he may stay alive, he will die for his error because he is wicked, but I will ask his blood back from you. 19But if you warn someone wicked and he does not turn back from his wickedness and from his wicked course, he will die for his error, but you will certainly save your own life. 20But when someone righteous abandons his righteousness and does what is wrong, I will put a stumbling block before him and he will die. If you did not warn him, he will die for his sin and his righteous acts will not be remembered, but I will ask his blood back from you. 21But if you have warned the righteous one not to sin, and he does not sin, he will surely keep alive because he was warned, and you will have saved your own life..
If someone does not heed the warnings of danger they could be bloodguilty.
(Ezekiel 33:3-5) .. 4If someone hears the sound of the horn but does not heed the warning and a sword comes and takes his life, his blood will be on his own head. 5 He heard the sound of the horn, but he did not heed the warning. His blood will be upon himself. If he had heeded the warning, his life would have been saved.
Once someone has been warned their blood is not on your hands but on their own.
(Acts 18:5, 6) 5When, now, both Silas and Timothy came down from Mac·e·do′ni·a, Paul began to be intensely occupied with the word, witnessing to the Jews to prove that Jesus is the Christ. 6But after they kept on opposing him and speaking abusively, he shook out his garments and said to them: “Let your blood be on your own heads. I am clean.
Saul had been saved from bloodguilt by not killing David but later became bloodguilty when he killed the Gibeonites. The Israelites took an oath saying they would not kill the Gibeonites, violating that oath made Saul bloodguilty.
Harming others deliberately can bring blood guilt.
(1 Samuel 19:4-6) 4So Jon′a·than spoke well of David to his father Saul. He said to him: “The king should not sin against his servant David, for he has not sinned against you and what he has done for you has benefited you. 5He risked his life to strike down the Phi·lis′tine, so that Jehovah brought about a great victory for all Israel. You saw it, and you were overjoyed. So why should you sin against innocent blood in having David put to death for no reason?” 6 Saul listened to Jon′a·than, and Saul swore: “As surely as Jehovah is living, he will not be put to death.”
(2 Samuel 21:1, 2) 21 Now there was a famine in the days of David for three consecutive years, so David consulted Jehovah, and Jehovah said: “There is bloodguilt on Saul and on his house, because he put the Gib′e·on·ites to death.” 2So the king called the Gib′e·on·ites and spoke to them. (Incidentally, the Gib′e·on·ites were not Israelites but Am′or·ites who remained, and the Israelites had sworn to spare them.
Abigial saved David from being bloodguilty when out of anger he almost shed someones blood.
(1 Samuel 25:23-26) 23When Ab′i·gail caught sight of David, she hurried down off the donkey and threw herself facedown before David, bowing to the ground. 24She then fell at his feet and said: “My lord, let the blame be on me; let your servant girl speak to you, and listen to the words of your servant girl. 25Please, do not let my lord pay attention to this worthless Na′bal, for he is just like his name. Na′bal is his name, and senselessness is with him. But I, your servant girl, did not see my lord’s young men whom you sent. 26And now, my lord, as surely as Jehovah is living and as you are living, it is Jehovah who has held you back from incurring bloodguilt and from taking revenge with your own hand. May your enemies and those seeking injury to my lord become like Na′bal.
Why would God feel so strongly about the shedding of innocent blood? Remember we were created in God’s image so to deliberately endanger ourselves or another to the point it cost their life shows that we do not love God because we have been created in his image.
If we are blood guilty God holds us responsible.
(Genesis 9:5, 6) 6Anyone shedding man’s blood, by man will his own blood be shed, for in God’s image He made man.
The religious leaders in Jesus time were blood guilty because of their false teachings. So if we mislead someone and cause them to miss the mark we are blood guilty.
(Matthew 23:33-36) 33“Serpents, offspring of vipers, how will you flee from the judgment of Ge·hen′na? 34For this reason, I am sending to you prophets and wise men and public instructors. Some of them you will kill and execute on stakes, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, 35so that there may come upon you all the righteous blood spilled on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zech·a·ri′ah son of Bar·a·chi′ah, whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar. 36Truly I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.
Modern day false religion will be held accountable for their false teachings. So always make sure what we are teaching is in agreement with what Jesus and the apostles taught.
(Revelation 18:24) 24Yes, in her was found the blood of prophets and of holy ones and of all those who have been slaughtered on the earth.”
If we know that there is a condition that exist that could cost someone their life we could be bloodguilty if we do not take care of it.
If we do not properly maintain our home and things become unsafe and we knowingly neglect those things, we could be blood guilty if someone gets hurt.
(Deuteronomy 22:8) 8“If you build a new house, you must also make a parapet for your roof, so that you may not bring bloodguilt on your house because of someone falling from it.
So if we do not want to incur bloodguilt we should tell others about Jehovah and what he requires. We should also warn others of dangers that lay ahead. We should pray to God to help us so we do not become bloodguilty because it is a very serious matter.
(Psalm 51:13-15) 13I will teach transgressors your ways, So that sinners will return to you. 14Save me from bloodguilt, O God, the God of my salvation, So that my tongue may joyfully declare your righteousness. 15O Jehovah, open my lips,.
We would not want to live recklessly and become blinded to the dangers in front of us.
(Proverbs 24:7-12) 7True wisdom is unattainable for a fool; He has nothing to say in the city gate. 8Anyone who plots evil Will be called a master schemer. 9Foolish schemes are sinful, And people detest a ridiculer. 10If you become discouraged in the day of distress, Your strength will be meager. 1Rescue those who are being taken away to death, And hold back those staggering to the slaughter. 12If you say, “But we did not know about this,” Does not the One who examines hearts discern it? Yes, the One who watches you will know And will repay each man according to his activity.
We need to let God’s word guide us so we do not become bloodguilty.
(Proverbs 21:2-5) 2All of a man’s ways seem right to him, But Jehovah examines the hearts. 3To do what is right and just Is more pleasing to Jehovah than a sacrifice. 4Haughty eyes and an arrogant heart —The lamp that guides the wicked is sin. 5The plans of the diligent surely lead to success.
If we learn to let love guide us hopefully we will not incur bloodguilt.
(1 John 5:1-4) 5 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born from God, and everyone who loves the one who caused to be born loves him who has been born from that one. 2By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and carry out his commandments. 3For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome, 4because everyone who has been born from God conquers the world. And this is the conquest that has conquered the world, our faith.
If we believe someone is bloodguilty we must not make false accusations but we must have solid proof that they are bloodguilty.
(Matthew 18:15-17) 15“Moreover, if your brother commits a sin, go and reveal his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. 16But if he does not listen, take along with you one or two more, so that on the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter may be established. 17If he does not listen to them, speak to the congregation. If he does not listen even to the congregation, let him be to you just as a man of the nations and as a tax collector.
For example if someone was in a car accident and killed someone, we should not assume that they were drinking or acting reckless. We always have to have clear evidence and trust worthy witnesses.
(1 Timothy 5:19-21) 19Do not accept an accusation against an older man except on the evidence of two or three witnesses. 20Reprove before all onlookers those who practice sin, as a warning to the rest. 21I solemnly charge you before God and Christ Jesus and the chosen angels to observe these instructions without any prejudice or partiality..
So it has become clear disobedience to Jehovah, not warning others of dangers or not taking preventive actions to preserve life we can incur bloodguilt. So if we deliberately endanger ourselves or others we can incur bloodguilt. Over indulging in things that could have a negative impact on ourselves could incur bloodguilt. Smoking or doing other things that could cost our lives or someone else’s could incur bloodguilt. So we will be viewed the same as someone who murdered another.
(1 Corinthians 6:19, 20) 19Do you not know that your body is the temple of the holy spirit within you, which you have from God? Also, you do not belong to yourselves, 20for you were bought with a price. By all means, glorify God in your body.
We all have short comings so we should not judge others if we feel they are doing things that could incur bloodguilt. We should make sure of more important things first like building each other up spiritually and not get overly consumed in personal things it is between them and Jehovah if they are aware of the dangers.
(Colossians 2:16-19) 16Therefore, do not let anyone judge you about what you eat and drink or about the observance of a festival or of the new moon or of a sabbath. 17Those things are a shadow of the things to come, but the reality belongs to the Christ. 18Let no man deprive you of the prize who takes delight in a false humility and a form of worship of the angels, “taking his stand on” the things he has seen. He is actually puffed up without proper cause by his fleshly frame of mind, 19and he is not holding fast to the head, to the one through whom the whole body is supplied and harmoniously joined together by means of its joints and ligaments and made to grow with the growth that is from God.
Now the dilemma comes up what if the laws of the land that Jehovah requires us to follow could incur bloodguilt. In that situation what would we do. We have to remember Jehovah’s laws are above mans so we always obey him first.
(Romans 13:1-4) 13 Let every person be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God. 2Therefore, whoever opposes the authority has taken a stand against the arrangement of God; those who have taken a stand against it will bring judgment against themselves. 3For those rulers are an object of fear, not to the good deed, but to the bad. Do you want to be free of fear of the authority? Keep doing good, and you will have praise from it; 4for it is God’s minister to you for your good. But if you are doing what is bad, be in fear, for it is not without purpose that it bears the sword. It is God’s
minister, an avenger to express wrath against the one practicing what is bad.
(Acts 5:29) 29In answer Peter and the other apostles said: “We must obey God as ruler rather than men.
So whether it is entertainment, eating, socializing we need to let God’s word guide us so we can show God’s glory.
(1 Corinthians 10:31-11:1) 31Therefore, whether you are eating or drinking or doing anything else, do all things for God’s glory. 32Keep from becoming causes for stumbling to Jews as well as Greeks and to the congregation of God, 33just as I am trying to please all people in all things, not seeking my own advantage, but that of the many, so that they may be saved. 11 Become imitators of me, just as I am of Christ.

Conquering the Evil With The Good.

If you don't read it how can you have faith.

We are in the last days. We know evil abounds. We are told in Romans to conquer the evil with the good but how can we do that?

(Romans 12:21) 21 Do not let yourself be conquered by the evil, but keep conquering the evil with the good.

The previous scriptures in Romans 12 gives us a guide on how to overcome the evil with the good it stresses the importance of treating other good even if they are our enemy.

(Romans 12:17-20) 17Return evil for evil to no one. Provide fine things in the sight of all men. 18 If possible, as far as it depends upon YOU, be peaceable with all men. 19 Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but yield place to the wrath; for it is written: “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says Jehovah.” 20 But, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by doing this you will heap fiery coals upon his head.

It can be difficult at times. It seems that those doing bad go unpunished.

(Ecclesiastes 8:11-13) 11 Because sentence against a bad work has not been executed speedily, that is why the heart of the sons of men has become fully set in them to do bad. 12 Although a sinner may be doing bad a hundred times and continuing a long time as he pleases, yet I am also aware that it will turn out well with those fearing the [true] God, because they were in fear of him. 13 But it will not turn out well at all with the wicked one, neither will he prolong his days that are like a shadow, because he is not in fear of God.

We need to keep in mind God is the judge and he desires no one to be destroy so he is very patient. We need to learn to be patient also.

(2 Peter 3:9) Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with YOU because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance

If we return evil to them we become just like them and Satan has won because he has made us no different then the world.

(Romans 2:3-11) 3 But do you have this idea, O man, while you judge those who practice such things and yet you do them, that you will escape the judgment of God? 4 Or do you despise the riches of his kindness and forbearance and long-suffering, because you do not know that the kindly [quality] of God is trying to lead you to repentance? 5 But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath and of the revealing of God’s righteous judgment. 6 And he will render to each one according to his works: 7 everlasting life to those who are seeking glory and honor and incorruptibleness by endurance in work that is good; 8 however, for those who are contentious and who disobey the truth but obey unrighteousness there will be wrath and anger, 9 tribulation and distress, upon the soul of every man who works what is injurious, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; 10 but glory and honor and peace for everyone who works what is good, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 11 For there is no partiality with God.

Many who know their bibles and do bad have no excuse. There are those who do not know God’s laws and still obey them. So we cannot use the fact that they do not know God’s laws as a reason for treating someone bad. Neither can they use the excuse they did not know. The bible clearly shows we have been born with a conscience.

(Romans 2:12-16) 12 For instance, all those who sinned without law will also perish without law; but all those who sinned under law will be judged by law. 13 For the hearers of law are not the ones righteous before God, but the doers of law will be declared righteous. 14 For whenever people of the nations that do not have law do by nature the things of the law, these people, although not having law, are a law to themselves. 15 They are the very ones who demonstrate the matter of the law to be written in their hearts, while their conscience is bearing witness with them and, between their own thoughts, they are being accused or even excused. 16 This will be in the day when God through Christ Jesus judges the secret things of mankind, according to the good news I declare..

Our actions show who’s wisdom we are relying on. We are told to imitate our heavenly father, in doing so we show we are guided by the him.

(James 3:13-18) 13 Who is wise and understanding among YOU? Let him show out of his fine conduct his works with a mildness that belongs to wisdom. 14 But if YOU have bitter jealousy and contentiousness in YOUR hearts, do not be bragging and lying against the truth. 15 This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is [the] earthly, animal, demonic. 16 For where jealousy and contentiousness are, there disorder and every vile thing are. 17 But the wisdom from above is first of all chaste, then peaceable, reasonable, ready to obey, full of mercy and good fruits, not making partial distinctions, not hypocritical. 18 Moreover, the fruit of righteousness has its seed sown under peaceful conditions for those who are making peace.

Jesus perfectly reflected his heavenly father. So if we imitate him we can bring God glory instead of smearing his good name as many have done. Doing this requires us to be no part of the world. So we must not imitate the worlds behavior.

(John 17:4, 5) 4 I have glorified you on the earth, having finished the work you have given me to do. 5 So now you, Father, glorify me alongside yourself with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was.

We must do to others what we would want them to do unto us. We all fall short if others sought revenge for all our errors how would we feel? Doesn’t it feel much better when you are forgiven? Those who do not repent or who take your forgiveness for granted will be dealt with soon. We cannot let their actions effect ours.

(Matthew 7:12-14) 12 “All things, therefore, that YOU want men to do to YOU, YOU also must likewise do to them; this, in fact, is what the Law and the Prophets mean. 13 “Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.

(Ephesians 4:31-5:2) 31Let all malicious bitterness and anger and wrath and screaming and abusive speech be taken away from YOU along with all badness. 32 But become kind to one another, tenderly compassionate, freely forgiving one another just as God also by Christ freely forgave YOU. 5 Therefore, become imitators of God, as beloved children, 2 and go on walking in love, just as the Christ also loved YOU and delivered himself up for YOU as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling odor.

We need to make sure that since God has not acted it means he is not seeing and fall into the trap of taking action ourselves and start developing a worldly attitude.

When we are suffering evil we must keep in mind the example Jesus set. He did not strike out or seek revenge. His fine conduct drew many to our heavenly father. In showing humility and kindness we are showing our heavenly father what is in our hearts.

(1 Peter 3:16-18) 16 Hold a good conscience, so that in the particular in which YOU are spoken against they may get ashamed who are speaking slightingly of YOUR good conduct in connection with Christ. 17 For it is better to suffer because YOU are doing good, if the will of God wishes it, than because YOU are doing evil. 18 Why, even Christ died once for all time concerning sins, a righteous [person] for unrighteous ones, that he might lead YOU to God.

How could we avoid becoming like the world?

We know we are in the last days. Salvation is very near so now is not the time to give in. We were warned that there would not be much love in the world. Even the love for the truth in God’s word would be uncommon.

(Matthew 24:9-13) . 10 Then, also, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11 And many false prophets will arise and mislead many; 12 and because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off. 13 But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved.

(2 Timothy 3:1-7) 3 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. 6 For from these arise those men who slyly work their way into households and lead as their captives weak women loaded down with sins, led by various desires, 7 always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth.

One thing that can help protect us is to make sure good things are what we speak and that the things that come out of our mouths produce good fruits. We do this by making certain that the things we say are things our heavenly father would approve of. We must do our best not to imitate the behavior of the pharisees who produced bad fruits.

(Matthew 12:34-37) 34Offspring of vipers, how can YOU speak good things, when YOU are wicked? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 The good man out of his good treasure sends out good things, whereas the wicked man out of his wicked treasure sends out wicked things. 36 nI tell YOU that every unprofitable saying that men speak, they will render an account concerning it on Judgment Day; 37 for by your words you will be declared righteous, and by your words you will be condemned.

(John 14:15) 15 “If YOU love me, YOU will observe my commandments.

We have to keep in mind vengeance is Jehovah’s we cannot read their hearts and do not know their intentions or reasons they do the things they do. . We are all imperfect.

(Romans 12:17-21) 17 Return evil for evil to no one. Provide fine things in the sight of all men. 18 If possible, as far as it depends upon YOU, be peaceable with all men. 19 Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but yield place to the wrath; for it is written: “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says Jehovah.” 20 But, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by doing this you will heap fiery coals upon his head.” 21 Do not let yourself be conquered by the evil, but keep conquering the evil with the good.

We can help by teaching others about the heavenly kingdom and helping those in need.

(Luke 9:10, 11) 10 And when the apostles returned they recounted to him what things they had done. With that he took them along and withdrew to privacy into a city called Beth·sa′i·da. 11 But the crowds, getting to know it, followed him. And he received them kindly and began to speak to them about the kingdom of God, and he healed those needing a cure.

(Matthew 5:14-16) .15 People light a lamp and set it, not under the measuring basket, but upon the lampstand, and it shines upon all those in the house. 16 Likewise let YOUR light shine before men, that they may see YOUR fine works and give glory to YOUR Father who is in the heavens.

Need to be as open minded to the truths in the bible as a child is.

(Luke 18:15-17) 15 Now people began to bring him also their infants for him to touch these; but on seeing it the disciples began to reprimand them. 16 However, Jesus called the [infants] to him, saying: “Let the young children come to me, and do not try to stop them. For the kingdom of God belongs to suchlike ones. 17 Truly I say to YOU, Whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a young child will by no means get into it.

We need to appreciate what God has down for us and the ransom sacrifice that provided a way for us. We need to keep in mind many have come from the world an many more will come. Our behavior could draw them to God or push them away.

(Ephesians 2:1-3) 2 Furthermore, [it is] YOU [God made alive] though YOU were dead in YOUR trespasses and sins, 2 in which YOU at one time walked according to the system of things of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience. 3 Yes, among them we all at one time conducted ourselves in harmony with the desires of our flesh, doing the things willed by the flesh and the thoughts, and we were naturally children of wrath even as the rest.

The bible teaches us God is love. We need to let love guide all we do if we want to remain in his love.

(1 John 4:16-19) . God is love, and he that remains in love remains in union with God and God remains in union with him. 17 This is how love has been made perfect with us, that we may have freeness of speech in the day of judgment, because, just as that one is, so are we ourselves in this world. 18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love throws fear outside, because fear exercises a restraint. Indeed, he that is under fear has not been made perfect in love. 19 As for us, we love, because he first loved us.

(1 Corinthians 13:4-7) 4 Love is long-suffering and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, does not get puffed up, 5 does not behave indecently, does not look for its own interests, does not become provoked. It does not keep account of the injury. 6 It does not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth. 7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

By letting love guide all we do it protects us.

(Romans 13:8-10) 8 Do not YOU people be owing anybody a single thing, except to love one another; for he that loves his fellowman has fulfilled [the] law. 9 For the [law code], “You must not commit adultery, You must not murder, You must not steal, You must not covet,” and whatever other commandment there is, is summed up in this word, namely, “You must love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does not work evil to one’s neighbor; therefore love is the law’s fulfillment.

(1 Peter 4:7, 8) 7 But the end of all things has drawn close. Be sound in mind, therefore, and be vigilant with a view to prayers. 8 Above all things, have intense love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.

We all are imperfect, if we were perfect we would not need the bible to guide us and Jesus would not of had to die for us. We need to learn we are sinners also and we all fall short at times.

(Romans 3:21-26) 21 But now apart from law God’s righteousness has been made manifest, as it is borne witness to by the Law and the Prophets; 22 yes, God’s righteousness through the faith in Jesus Christ, for all those having faith. For there is no distinction. 23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and it is as a free gift that they are being declared righteous by his undeserved kindness through the release by the ransom [paid] by Christ Jesus. 25 God set him forth as an offering for propitiation through faith in his blood. This was in order to exhibit his own righteousness, because he was forgiving the sins that occurred in the past while God was exercising forbearance; 26 so as to exhibit his own righteousness in this present season, that he might be righteous even when declaring righteous the man that has faith in Jesus.

(Ecclesiastes 7:21, 22) 21 Also, do not give your heart to all the words that people may speak, that you may not hear your servant calling down evil upon you. 22 For your own heart well knows even many times that you, even you, have called down evil upon others.

Do not want to lose hope and start believing in ourselves, in doing this we may lose sight that there is a God who sees all we do.

(Psalm 14:1) The senseless one has said in his heart: “There is no Jehovah.” They have acted ruinously, they have acted detestably in [their] dealing. There is no one doing good.

(Proverbs 6:16-19) 16 There are six things that Jehovah does hate; yes, seven are things detestable to his soul: 17 lofty eyes, a false tongue, and hands that are shedding innocent blood, 18 a heart fabricating hurtful schemes, feet that are in a hurry to run to badness, 19 a false witness that launches forth lies, and anyone sending forth contentions among brothers. . .

(Jude 17-23) 17 As for YOU, beloved ones, call to mind the sayings that have been previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, 18 how they used to say to YOU: “In the last time there will be ridiculers, proceeding according to their own desires for ungodly things.” 19 These are the ones that make separations, animalistic [men], not having spirituality. 20 But YOU, beloved ones, by building up yourselves on YOUR most holy faith, and praying with holy spirit, 21 keep yourselves in God’s love, while YOU are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ with everlasting life in view. 22 Also, continue showing mercy to some that have doubts; 23 save [them] by snatching [them] out of the fire. But continue showing mercy to others, doing so with fear, while YOU hate even the inner garment that has been stained by the flesh. . .

We know very soon those who remain on the earth will be those who loves God and seeks his will.

(Matthew 5:5) 5 “Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth.

(Psalm 37:10, 11) 10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. 11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. . .

War of Armageddon.

These scriptures are from The New World Translation.

If you don't read it how can you have faith. Before the final war something has to occur. Those who are not worshiping in truth will be revealed. Most know now that this is Babylon The Great mentioned in Revelations.

(2 Thessalonians 2:7-12) 7 True, the mystery of this lawlessness is already at work; but only till he who is right now acting as a restraint gets to be out of the way. 8 Then, indeed, the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will do away with by the spirit of his mouth and bring to nothing by the manifestation of his presence. 9 But the lawless one’s presence is according to the operation of Satan with every powerful work and lying signs and portents 10 and with every unrighteous deception for those who are perishing, as a retribution because they did not accept the love of the truth that they might be saved. 11 So that is why God lets an operation of error go to them, that they may get to believing the lie, 12 in order that they all may be judged because they did not believe the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness.

(1 Timothy 4:1-5) 4 However, the inspired utterance says definitely that in later periods of time some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired utterances and teachings of demons, 2 by the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, marked in their conscience as with a branding iron; 3 forbidding to marry, commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be partaken of with thanksgiving by those who have faith and accurately know the truth. 4 The reason for this is that every creation of God is fine, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 for it is sanctified through God’s word and prayer over . . .

This will result in Babylon figuratively falling. So we would see Babylon for what she is more and more. Her sins would be exposed for all to see. Some will choose to be blind to Babylons sins and choose to remain in her even as her demise becomes obvious.

(Revelation 18:1-3) 18 After these things I saw another angel descending from heaven, with great authority; and the earth was lighted up from his glory. 2 And he cried out with a strong voice, saying: “She has fallen! Babylon the Great has fallen, and she has become a dwelling place of demons and a lurking place of every unclean exhalation and a lurking place of every unclean and hated bird! 3 For because of the wine of the anger of her fornication all the nations have fallen [victim], and the kings of the earth committed fornication with her, and the traveling merchants of the earth became rich due to the power of her shameless luxury.”

4 And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her, my people, if YOU do not want to share with her in her sins, and if YOU do not want to receive part of her plagues. 5 For her sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind. 6 Render to her even as she herself rendered, and do to her twice as much, yes, twice the number of the things she did; in the cup in which she put a mixture put twice as much of the mixture for her. 7 To the extent that she glorified herself and lived in shameless luxury, to that extent give her torment and mourning. For in her heart she keeps saying, ‘I sit a queen, and I am no widow, and I shall never see mourning.’ 8 That is why in one day her plagues will come, death and mourning and famine, and she will be completely burned with fire, because Jehovah God, who judged her, is strong.

Next Babylon the great will be brought to ruin. All the nations will turn on false worship and destroy it.

(Jeremiah 51:43-47) . . .. 44 And I will turn my attention upon Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth what he has swallowed. And to him nations will stream no more. Also, the wall itself of Babylon must fall. 45 “Get out of the midst of her, O my people, and provide each one his soul with escape from the burning anger of Jehovah. 46 Or otherwise YOUR heart will be timid, and YOU will become afraid because of the report that is to be heard in the land. And in one year the report will actually come, and after it in another year there will be the report and violence in the earth and ruler against ruler. 47 Therefore, look! there are days coming, and I will turn my attention upon the graven images of Babylon; and all her own land will become ashamed, and all her own slain ones will fall in the midst of her. . .

Many know the harlot is a representation of false religion. So the harlot would be Babylon or false religion. God will put it in mans heart to destroy false religion.

(Revelation 17:15-18) 15 And he says to me: “The waters that you saw, where the harlot is sitting, mean peoples and crowds and nations and tongues. 16 And the ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire. 17 For God put [it] into their hearts to carry out his thought, even to carry out [their] one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God will have been accomplished. 18 And the woman whom you saw means the great city that has a kingdom over the kings of the earth.. . .

The final war what will it be who will fight it and who will survive it? To understand that we need to understand who the key figures are in this war. But we need to identify when this war was ready to take place.

(Matthew 24:3-14) 3 While he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?” 4 And in answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads YOU; 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. 6 YOU are going to hear of wars and reports of wars; see that YOU are not terrified. For these things must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress. 9 “Then people will deliver YOU up to tribulation and will kill YOU, and YOU will be objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name. 10 Then, also, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11 And many false prophets will arise and mislead many; 12 and because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off. 13 But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. 14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

We will have those who will claim these things have always occurred. They have not occurred on a world wide scale and to the degree they are now. Also the news of the kingdom had not yet been preached to the entire earth as it has now. This was also prophesied and many would not take note because of their skepticism until it is too late.

(2 Peter 3:3-7) . . .For YOU know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires 4 and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep [in death], all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.” 5 For, according to their wish, this fact escapes their notice, that there were heavens from of old and an earth standing compactly out of water and in the midst of water by the word of God; 6 and by those [means] the world of that time suffered destruction when it was deluged with water. 7 But by the same word the heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire and are being reserved to the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly men. . .

(Matthew 24:36-39) 36 “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be. 38 For as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; 39 and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be. . .

(Luke 17:28-30) 28 Likewise, just as it occurred in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building. 29 But on the day that Lot came out of Sod′om it rained fire and sulphur from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 The same way it will be on that day when the Son of man is to be revealed. . .

Who is Gog of Magog? When the bible speaks of the attack by it , it also speaks of the attack by the king North and by the kings of the earth. These do not seem to be separate attacks but the same attack under separate names. Also take note that God’s people would be living in peace so they would not be involved in wars.

(Ezekiel 38:1-6) 38 And the word of Jehovah continued to occur to me, saying: 2 “Son of man, set your face against Gog [of] the land of Ma′gog, the head chieftain of Me′shech and Tu′bal, and prophesy against him. 3 And you must say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said: “Here I am against you, O Gog, you head chieftain of Me′shech and Tu′bal. 4 And I shall certainly turn you around and put hooks in your jaws and bring you forth with all your military force, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in perfect taste, a numerous congregation, with large shield and buckler, all of them handling swords; 5 Persia, E·thi·o′pi·a and Put with them, all of them with buckler and helmet; 6 Go′mer and all its bands, the house of To·gar′mah, [of] the remotest parts of the north, and all its bands, many peoples with you.

(Daniel 11:40-45) 40 “And in the time of [the] end the king of the south will engage with him in a pushing, and against him the king of the north will storm with chariots and with horsemen and with many ships; and he will certainly enter into the lands and flood over and pass through. 41 He will also actually enter into the land of the Decoration, and there will be many [lands] that will be made to stumble. But these are the ones that will escape out of his hand, E′dom and Mo′ab and the main part of the sons of Am′mon. 42 And he will keep thrusting out his hand against the lands; and as regards the land of Egypt, she will not prove to be an escapee. 43 And he will actually rule over the hidden treasures of the gold and the silver and over all the desirable things of Egypt. And the Lib′y·ans and the E·thi·o′pi·ans will be at his steps. 44 “But there will be reports that will disturb him, out of the sunrising and out of the north, and he will certainly go forth in a great rage in order to annihilate and to devote many to destruction. 45 And he will plant his palatial tents between [the] grand sea and the holy mountain of Decoration; and he will have to come all the way to his end, and there will be no helper for him. . .

The bible shows that all the kings of the earth will be involved. So many nations will be involved in this attack.

(Revelation 16:13-16) 13 And I saw three unclean inspired expressions [that looked] like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the wild beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 They are, in fact, expressions inspired by demons and perform signs, and they go forth to the kings of the entire inhabited earth, to gather them together to the war of the great day of God the Almighty. 15 “Look! I am coming as a thief. Happy is the one that stays awake and keeps his outer garments, that he may not walk naked and people look upon his shamefulness.” 16 And they gathered them together to the place that is called in Hebrew Har–Ma·ged′on. . .

So who will this war be against? ?We know the lamb is Jesus. We also know God has seated him on the thrown. So it is clear that they are going to wage war with Jesus. But who else? If you notice the bible tells us also those called and chosen and faithful. So the war will be against Jesus and those God has chosen who follow Jesus as our king and remain faithful to him.

(Revelation 17:12-14) 12 “And the ten horns that you saw mean ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom, but they do receive authority as kings one hour with the wild beast. 13 These have one thought, and so they give their power and authority to the wild beast. 14 These will battle with the Lamb, but, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, the Lamb will conquer them. Also, those called and chosen and faithful with him [will do so]. . .

Notice they join forces with the beast. I have posted on who the harlot is and who the best is. If you use the search feature you should be able to find it.

(Revelation 19:19) 19 And I saw the wild beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage the war with the one seated on the horse and with his army. . .

When they attack God’s people they will view them as defenseless because they do not have weapons and are peaceable. But God will fight for them , he will give Jesus the command.

(Ezekiel 38:8, 9) 8 “‘“After many days you will be given attention. In the final part of the years you will come to the land [of people] brought back from the sword, collected together out of many peoples, onto the mountains of Israel, that have proved to be a constantly devastated place; even [a land] that has been brought forth from the peoples, [where] they have dwelt in security, all of them. 9 And you will be bound to come up. Like a storm you will come in. Like clouds to cover the land you will become, you and all your bands and many peoples with you.”’

(Zechariah 2:7-9) 7 “Hey there, Zion! Make your escape, you who are dwelling with the daughter of Babylon. 8 For this is what Jehovah of armies has said, ‘Following after [the] glory he has sent me to the nations that were despoiling YOU people; for he that is touching YOU is touching my eyeball. 9 For here I am waving my hand against them, and they will have to become spoil to their slaves.’ And YOU people will certainly know that Jehovah of armies himself has sent me. . .

God will repay them for the tribulation they have caused. But those who are suffering will receive relief from God.

(2 Thessalonians 1:6-10) 6 This takes into account that it is righteous on God’s part to repay tribulation to those who make tribulation for YOU, 7 but, to YOU who suffer tribulation, relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels 8 in a flaming fire, as he brings vengeance upon those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus. 9 These very ones will undergo the judicial punishment of everlasting destruction from before the Lord and from the glory of his strength, 10 at the time he comes to be glorified in connection with his holy ones and to be regarded in that day with wonder in connection with all those who exercised faith, because the witness we gave met with faith among YOU.

The bible tells us who will survive this war.

(Revelation 7:13-17) 13 And in response one of the elders said to me: “These who are dressed in the white robes, who are they and where did they come from?” 14 So right away I said to him: “My lord, you are the one that knows.” And he said to me: “These are the ones that come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 That is why they are before the throne of God; and they are rendering him sacred service day and night in his temple; and the One seated on the throne will spread his tent over them. 16 They will hunger no more nor thirst anymore, neither will the sun beat down upon them nor any scorching heat, 17 because the Lamb, who is in the midst of the throne, will shepherd them, and will guide them to fountains of waters of life. And God will wipe out every tear from their eyes.”

God’s great day is very near so we must prepare our hearts and do our best to worship with an honest heart.

(Zephaniah 2:1-3) 2 Gather yourselves together, yes, do the gathering, O nation not paling in shame. 2 Before [the] statute gives birth to [anything], [before the] day has passed by just like chaff, before there comes upon YOU people the burning anger of Jehovah, before there comes upon YOU the day of Jehovah’s anger, 3 seek Jehovah, all YOU meek ones of the earth, who have practiced His own judicial decision. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. Probably YOU may be concealed in the day of Jehovah’s anger. . .

(Malachi 4:1) 4 “For, look! the day is coming that is burning like the furnace, and all the presumptuous ones and all those doing wickedness must become as stubble. And the day that is coming will certainly devour them,” Jehovah of armies has said, “so that it will not leave to them either root or bough. . .

The kingdom that remains will not be destroyed.

(Daniel 2:44) 44 “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;

God did not form the earth for nothing he created it to be dwelt upon. The original purpose that he command Adam and Eve will be fulfilled.

(Isaiah 45:18) 18 For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the [true] God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited:. . .

(Genesis 1:28) Further, God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving upon the earth.”

So we must do our best to continue to be meek and mild tempered the reward is well worth it. In the new earth there will be no more suffering, pain or tears.

(Matthew 5:5) 5 “Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth. . .

(Psalm 37:29) 29 The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it. . .

(Revelation 21:1-4) 21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. 2 I saw also the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.. . .

I wanted to keep this short so did not get into too much detail but if you want to learn more and in more detail go to http://www.jw.org . They have a wealth of information.

Bible tells us we are not saved by works alone, yet it says faith without works is dead. Seems contradicting but is it really?

If you don't read it how can you have faith.

To fully understand what the scriptures are telling us you have to consider what the works are. Their are various forms of work concerning any situation in life. It is the same for our spiritual part of our lives. In Ephesians it is saying we have to be saved through faith not by works. Yet it also says we are to do good works. So clearly it is speaking of two different works.

(Ephesians 2:8-10) 8 By this undeserved kindness, indeed, YOU have been saved through faith; and this not owing to YOU, it is God’s gift. 9 No, it is not owing to works, in order that no man should have ground for boasting. 10 For we are a product of his work and were created in union with Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance for us to walk in them.

Now if you remember the pharisees believe by memorizing God’s laws and by appearing to be the most righteous they would achieve salvation.

(Matthew 23:1-13) 23 Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples, saying: 2 “The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the seat of Moses. 3 Therefore all the things they tell YOU, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds, for they say but do not perform. 4 They bind up heavy loads and put them upon the shoulders of men, but they themselves are not willing to budge them with their finger. 5 All the works they do they do to be viewed by men; for they broaden the [scripture-containing] cases that they wear as safeguards, and enlarge the fringes [of their garments]. 6 They like the most prominent place at evening meals and the front seats in the synagogues, 7 and the greetings in the marketplaces and to be called Rabbi by men. 8 But YOU, do not YOU be called Rabbi, for one is YOUR teacher, whereas all YOU are brothers. 9 Moreover, do not call anyone YOUR father on earth, for one is YOUR Father, the heavenly One. 10 Neither be called ‘leaders,’ for YOUR Leader is one, the Christ. 11 But the greatest one among YOU must be YOUR minister. 12 Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. 13 “Woe to YOU, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because YOU shut up the kingdom of the heavens before men; for YOU yourselves do not go in, neither do YOU permit those on their way in to go in. . .

Now it is becoming clearer what some of the works is. Works of law. So the pharisees thought the law was their way to salvation. But Jesus stated many times we must exercise faith.

(Romans 9:30-32) 30 What shall we say, then? That people of the nations, although not pursuing righteousness, caught up with righteousness, the righteousness that results from faith; 31 but Israel, although pursuing a law of righteousness, did not attain to the law. 32 For what reason? Because he pursued it, not by faith, but as by works. . .

But does this mean we do not have to obey the laws of the bible? It seems to say this is so. But how can we exercise faith which Jesus stated many times we needed to do if we do not apply God’s laws in our lives to guide us.

(Galatians 3:10-14) 10 For all those who depend upon works of law are under a curse; for it is written: “Cursed is every one that does not continue in all the things written in the scroll of the Law in order to do them.” 11 Moreover, that by law no one is declared righteous with God is evident, because “the righteous one will live by reason of faith.” 12 Now the Law does not adhere to faith, but “he that does them shall live by means of them.” 13 Christ by purchase released us from the curse of the Law by becoming a curse instead of us, because it is written: “Accursed is every man hanged upon a stake.” 14 The purpose was that the blessing of Abraham might come to be by means of Jesus Christ for the nations, that we might receive the promised spirit through our faith. . .

We know that one exercises faith with the heart and we make a declaration of our faith. So how do we acquire the skills to exercise faith in our hearts?

(Romans 10:10) 10 For with the heart one exercises faith for righteousness, but with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation.

So we are to write God’s word on our hearts. In other words we are to live by his word and let it guide all we do.

(Proverbs 7:1-3) 7 My son, keep my sayings, and may you treasure up my own commandments with you. 2 Keep my commandments and continue living, and my law like the pupil of your eyes. 3 Tie them upon your fingers, and write them upon the tablet of your heart. . .

(John 14:15-17) 15 “If YOU love me, YOU will observe my commandments; 16 and I will request the Father and he will give YOU another helper to be with YOU forever, 17 the spirit of the truth, which the world cannot receive, because it neither beholds it nor knows it. YOU know it, because it remains with YOU and is in YOU. . .

So it is not by obeying the laws that will save us but faith in God and his laws, also faith in his son and our King Jesus.

(Romans 2:13) For the hearers of law are not the ones righteous before God, but the doers of law will be declared righteous

Now another dilemma faith without works is dead. Now what works could this be? We know that is takes more then learning God’s laws and obeying them but what are the other works? We can look to the book of James for that answer.

(James 2:14-17) 14 Of what benefit is it, my brothers, if a certain one says he has faith but he does not have works? That faith cannot save him, can it? 15 If a brother or a sister is in a naked state and lacking the food sufficient for the day, 16 yet a certain one of YOU says to them: “Go in peace, keep warm and well fed,” but YOU do not give them the necessities for [their] body, of what benefit is it? 17 Thus, too, faith, if it does not have works, is dead in itself.

Now it becomes clear we do not only have to learn the law and live by it but we must do certain works. Works of compassion.

(Matthew 25:34-46) 34 “Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, YOU who have been blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for YOU from the founding of the world. 35 For I became hungry and YOU gave me something to eat; I got thirsty and YOU gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and YOU received me hospitably; 36 naked, and YOU clothed me. I fell sick and YOU looked after me. I was in prison and YOU came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous ones will answer him with the words, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty, and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and receive you hospitably, or naked, and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to you?’ 40 And in reply the king will say to them, ‘Truly I say to YOU, To the extent that YOU did it to one of the least of these my brothers, YOU did it to me.’ 41 “Then he will say, in turn, to those on his left, ‘Be on YOUR way from me, YOU who have been cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels. 42 For I became hungry, but YOU gave me nothing to eat, and I got thirsty, but YOU gave me nothing to drink. 43 I was a stranger, but YOU did not receive me hospitably; naked, but YOU did not clothe me; sick and in prison, but YOU did not look after me.’ 44 Then they also will answer with the words, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them with the words, ‘Truly I say to YOU, To the extent that YOU did not do it to one of these least ones, YOU did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will depart into everlasting cutting-off, but the righteous ones into everlasting life. . .

Now we know that we must have some works , works of compassion not works of the law. What is faith? We know faith is involved in the works. In James we learned we must have works and faith. We cannot see faith. How do we acquire it?

(Romans 8:24) For we were saved in [this] hope; but hope that is seen is not hope, for when a man sees a thing, does he hope for it?

(Hebrews 11:1) 11 Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld. . .

The bible tells us we must keep our eyes on the things unseen, not the things seen to build out faith.

(2 Corinthians 4:18) while we keep our eyes, not on the things seen, but on the things unseen. For the things seen are temporary, but the things unseen are everlasting

(2 Corinthians 5:7) for we are walking by faith, not by sight

Without faith it is impossible to please God so it is very important to acquire faith.

Hebrews 11: Moreover, without faith it is impossible to please God well, for whoever approaches God must believe that he is* and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him.

We learn faith follow the things heard. So we must take in God’s word and listen attentively at meetings to make sure we put God’s word on the tablet of our hearts. It should guide all we do.

(Romans 10:17) 17 So faith follows the thing heard. In turn the thing heard is through the word about Christ. . .

2Timothy 3:16  All Scripture is inspired of Goda and beneficial for teaching,b for reproving, for setting things straight,* for disciplining in righteousness

We must do personal research to verify that all we are being told is true. We must look deeply into God’s word.

Acts 17:11 11  Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thes·sa·lo·niʹca, for they accepted the word with the greatest eagerness of mind, carefully examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.

We learn that faith is a fruit of the spirit so faith comes from God as a blessing of the holy spirit. How do we acquire the spirit. By asking our heavenly father.

(Luke 11:12, 13) . . .? 13 Therefore, if YOU, although being wicked, know how to give good gifts to YOUR children, how much more so will the Father in heaven give holy spirit to those asking him!”

(Galatians 5:22, 23) 22 On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. . .

Once we acquire faith we must exercise it by speaking to others about the reason for our faith.

(Romans 10:10) 10 For with the heart one exercises faith for righteousness, but with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation.

(Hebrews 13:15) 15 Through him let us always offer to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of lips which make public declaration to his name.

So it is not through works we are saved but through our faith and our showing our faith. The works would be the results of the fruits of the spirit. So we can see it is not the works of the laws of God but the works of our faith.

Colossians 1:9, 10) . . ., 10 in order to walk worthily of Jehovah to the end of fully pleasing [him] as YOU go on bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the accurate knowledge of God. . .

(Matthew 5:16) 16 Likewise let YOUR light shine before men, that they may see YOUR fine works and give glory to YOUR Father who is in the heavens. . .

So the work we must do is make sure we represent God in a righteous way so as not to smear his good name and prove our faith.

(Ephesians 5:6-12) 6 Let no man deceive YOU with empty words, for because of the aforesaid things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not become partakers with them; 8 for YOU were once darkness, but YOU are now light in connection with [the] Lord. Go on walking as children of light, 9 for the fruitage of the light consists of every sort of goodness and righteousness and truth. 10 Keep on making sure of what is acceptable to the Lord; 11 and quit sharing with [them] in the unfruitful works that belong to the darkness, but, rather, even be reproving [them], 12 for the things that take place in secret by them it is shameful even to relate.

Hopefully if we please God we will escape the destruction that is coming upon this wicked system and those who are causing God’s good name to be spoken of abusively.

(Titus 2:6-8) 6 Likewise keep on exhorting the younger men to be sound in mind, 7 in all things showing yourself an example of fine works; showing uncorruptness in your teaching, seriousness, 8 wholesome speech which cannot be condemned; so that the man on the opposing side may get ashamed, having nothing vile to say about us. . .

(2 Peter 2:1-6) 2 However, there also came to be false prophets among the people, as there will also be false teachers among YOU. These very ones will quietly bring in destructive sects and will disown even the owner that bought them, bringing speedy destruction upon themselves. 2 Furthermore, many will follow their acts of loose conduct, and on account of these the way of the truth will be spoken of abusively. 3 Also, with covetousness they will exploit YOU with counterfeit words. But as for them, the judgment from of old is not moving slowly, and the destruction of them is not slumbering. 4 Certainly if God did not hold back from punishing the angels that sinned, but, by throwing them into Tar′ta·rus, delivered them to pits of dense darkness to be reserved for judgment; 5 and he did not hold back from punishing an ancient world, but kept Noah, a preacher of righteousness, safe with seven others when he brought a deluge upon a world of ungodly people; 6 and by reducing the cities Sod′om and Go·mor′rah to ashes he condemned them, setting a pattern for ungodly persons of things to come;

So the works of are works faith in which we can read about those who did just hat in God’s word and some were mentioned in Hebrews chapter 11. There are many examples of those who trusted God and had faith he would fulfill the future promises and would do what is best. They held fast to Jehovah no matter what they had to endure. They worked to educate and guide others and set examples to follow. We need to work towards what is right in God’s eyes and not mans. In doing so we express our faith in our heavenly father and his son our king Jesus. So the works we are to do are an expression of our faith.

Someone once told me their church taught women were to be seen and not heard. What does the bible say about that?

If you don't read it how can you have faith.

Should women be silent? Someone once told me their church taught women were to be silent and not heard. They said only the man was to speak. He even said this was the case at home and if she spoke then she was to be disciplined. He even justified hitting her for speaking by misquoting the bible. So what does the bible really say about women?

Notice this scripture says women professing devotion to God. If they did not speak how could they profess that?

(1 Timothy 2:8-10) 8So I desire that in every place the men carry on prayer, lifting up loyal hands, without anger and debates. 9Likewise, the women should adorn themselves in appropriate dress, with modesty and soundness of mind, not with styles of hair braiding and gold or pearls or very expensive clothing, 10but in the way that is proper for women professing devotion to God, namely, through good works.

Many use this scripture to justify women not speaking . If you read this chapter closely many things that disrupt the meetings are mentioned so it becomes clear that it is referring to authority and the order of things in the congregation. Also it may be referring to questionings on their beliefs because they are instructed to ask their husbands. God set authority in a way it can not be questioned so there is organization and not chaos. They are clearly talking about meetings and how the authority and instruction should be.

(1 Timothy 2:11-14) 11Let a woman learn in silence with full submissiveness. 12I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man, but she is to remain silent. 13For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 1Also, Adam was not deceived, but the woman was thoroughly deceived and became a transgressor

God created Eve to be a helper not a slave. She is to be submissive but not oppressed. We are all one through God.

(Genesis 2:18) 18Then Jehovah God said: “It is not good for the man to continue to be alone. I am going to make a helper for him, as a complement of him.

(1 Corinthians 11:7-13) 7For a man should not have his head covered, as he is God’s image and glory, but the woman is man’s glory. 8For man did not come from woman, but woman came from man. 9 And what is more, man was not created for the sake of the woman, but woman for the sake of the man. 10That is why the woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head, because of the angels. 11Besides, in connection with the Lord, neither is woman separate from man nor is man separate from woman. 12For just as the woman is from the man, so also the man is through the woman; but all things are from God. 13Judge for yourselves: Is it fitting for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?

We have to remember they have also been covered by the ransom sacrifice. If we do not treat them respectfully and with honor our prayers could be hindered. We are to be one in Christ in other words all are to be treated with respect who are in unity of mind with Christ.

(1 Peter 3:7) 7You husbands, in the same way, continue dwelling with them according to knowledge. Assign them honor as to a weaker vessel, the feminine one, since they are also heirs with you of the undeserved favor of life, in order for your prayers not to be hindered.

(Galatians 3:26-29) 26You are all, in fact, sons of God through your faith in Christ Jesus. 27For all of you who were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor freeman, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in union with Christ Jesus. 29Moreover, if you belong to Christ, you are really Abraham’s offspring, heirs with reference to a promise..

Women were also blessed with holy spirit and given gifts in Pentecost. If they were given the same gifts and were to remain silent how could they share those gifts?

(Acts 2:1-12) 2 Now while the day of the Festival of Pentecost was in progress, they were all together at the same place. 2Suddenly there was a noise from heaven, just like that of a rushing, stiff breeze, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3And tongues as if of fire became visible to them and were distributed, and one came to rest on each one of them, 4and they all became filled with holy spirit and started to speak in different languages, just as the spirit enabled them to speak. 5At that time devout Jews from every nation under heaven were staying in Jerusalem. 6So when this sound occurred, a crowd gathered and was bewildered, because each one heard them speaking in his own language. 7Indeed, they were utterly amazed and said: “See here, all these who are speaking are Gal·i·le′ans, are they not? 8How is it, then, that each one of us is hearing his own native language? 9Par′thi·ans, Medes, and E′lam·ites; the inhabitants of Mes·o·po·ta′mi·a, Ju·de′a and Cap·pa·do′ci·a, Pon′tus and the province of Asia, 10Phryg′i·a and Pam·phyl′i·a, Egypt and the regions of Lib′y·a near Cy·re′ne; sojourners from Rome, both Jews and proselytes; 11Cre′tans; and Arabians—we hear them speaking in our languages about the magnificent things of God.” 12Yes, they were all astonished and perplexed, saying to one another: “What does this mean?”

(Acts 2:13-18) 13However, others mocked them and said: “They are full of sweet wine.” 14But Peter stood up with the Eleven and spoke to them in a loud voice: “Men of Ju·de′a and all you inhabitants of Jerusalem, let this be known to you and listen carefully to my words. 15These people are, in fact, not drunk, as you suppose, for it is the third hour of the day. 16On the contrary, this is what was said through the prophet Joel: 17‘“And in the last days,” God says, “I will pour out some of my spirit on every sort of flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy and your young men will see visions and your old men will dream dreams, 18and even on my male slaves and on my female slaves I will pour out some of my spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.

Jehovah is a God of organization so he does make clear arrangements for authority but he does not permit abuse of it. We are to treat women with the same humility that Jesus treated the congregation with. He set an example by washing the apostles feet. So we are not to lord our authority over the women. If we do so and it is tolerated in the congregation it could cause divisions in the congregation and smear the congregations reputation.

(Ephesians 5:24-27) 25Husbands, continue loving your wives, just as the Christ also loved the congregation and gave himself up for it, 26in order that he might sanctify it, cleansing it with the bath of water by means of the word, 27so that he might present the congregation to himself in its splendor, without a spot or a wrinkle or any of such things, but holy and without blemish..

If women were not to teach how could they instruct their children?

(Proverbs 1:8) 8Listen, my son, to the discipline of your father, And do not forsake the instruction of your mother..

(Proverbs 31:26) 26 Her mouth she has opened in wisdom, and the law of loving-kindness is upon her tongue. . .

If women were to remain silent how would they proclaim the good news of the kingdom?

(Psalm 68:11) 11Jehovah gives the command; The women proclaiming the good news are a large army.

(Matthew 24:14) 14And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come..

The high priest in Israel consulted a prophetess when they needed to learn what Jehovah would require. They followed her instructions and he blessed them with peace. If women were to remain silent how could the priest consult her?

(2 Kings 22:14-20) 14So Hil·ki′ah the priest, A·hi′kam, Ach′bor, Sha′phan, and A·sai′ah went to Hul′dah the prophetess. She was the wife of Shal′lum son of Tik′vah son of Har′has, the caretaker of the wardrobe, and she was dwelling in the Second Quarter of Jerusalem; and they spoke to her there. 15She said to them: “This is what Jehovah the God of Israel says, ‘Tell the man who sent you to me: 16“This is what Jehovah says, ‘I will bring calamity on this place and its inhabitants, all the words of the book that the king of Judah has read. 17Because they have abandoned me and are making sacrifices smoke to other gods in order to offend me with all the work of their hands, my rage will be set ablaze against this place and it will not be extinguished.’” 18But to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of Jehovah, this is what you should say to him, “This is what Jehovah the God of Israel says: ‘Regarding the words that you have heard, 19because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before Jehovah on hearing what I have spoken against this place and its inhabitants—that they would become an object of horror and a curse—and you ripped your garments apart and wept before me, I also have heard you, declares Jehovah. 20That is why I will gather you to your ancestors, and you will be laid in your grave in peace, and your eyes will not see all the calamity that I will bring on this place.’”’” Then they brought the reply to the king.

Are women to have no authority in life? This scripture clearly shows that women have authority or they could perform the task described in this scripture. Of course the mans authority would be over the womens.

(Proverbs 31:10-20) 10Who can find a capable wife? Her value is far more than that of corals. ב [Beth] 11Her husband trusts her from his heart, And he lacks nothing of value. ג [Gimel] 12She rewards him with good, not bad, All the days of her life. ד [Daleth] 13She obtains wool and linen; She delights to work with her hands. ה [He] 14She is like the ships of a merchant, Bringing her food in from afar. ו [Waw] 15She also rises while it is still night, Providing food for her household And portions for her female servants. ז [Zayin] 16She sets her mind on a field and buys it; She plants a vineyard from her own labors. ח [Heth] 17She prepares herself for hard work, And she strengthens her arms. ט [Teth] 18She sees that her trading is profitable; Her lamp does not go out at night. י [Yod] 19Her hands seize the distaff, And her hands take hold of the spindle. כ [Kaph] 20She extends her palm to the lowly one, And she opens her hands to the poor.

Women who ministered to Jesus, so it is obvious that their role in the congregation was not sitting learning like a lump and being silent. So they play a role in helping with things. Their role is not passive and to sit and let the men do all spiritual matters.

(Mark 15:40, 41) 40There were also women watching from a distance, among them Mary Mag′da·lene as well as Mary the mother of James the Less and of Jo′ses, and Sa·lo′me, 41who used to accompany him and minister to him.

So it is clear the scriptures are explaining the order of authority.

(1 Corinthians 11:2, 3) 3But I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; in turn, the head of a woman is the man; in turn, the head of the Christ is God.

So now we will discuss women who have had many roles in the bible that required them to speak and deliver messages.

If you read Judges chapters 4 and 5 you will learn about the prophetess Deborah. She was not only a prophetess but a leader in Israel. Many decisions she made showed Jehovah blessed her work.

In 2 Samuel chapter 20 A women took the initiative to speak for Israel. Her actions helped save many lives.

(2 Samuel 20:15-22) 15 And they proceeded to come and lay siege against him in Abel of Beth-ma′a·cah and cast up a siege rampart against the city, as it was standing within a rampart. And all the people that were with Jo′ab were undermining the wall, to throw it down. 16 And a wise woman began to call from the city: “Listen, men, listen! Say, please, to Jo′ab, ‘Come near as far as here, and let me speak to you.’” 17 So he went near to her, and the woman then said: “Are you Jo′ab?” to which he said: “I am.” At this she said to him: “Listen to the words of your slave girl.” In turn he said: “I am listening.” 18 And she went on to say: “Without exception they used to speak in former times, saying, ‘Let them but inquire in Abel, and thus they will certainly end the matter.’ 19 I represent the peaceable and faithful ones of Israel. You are seeking to put to death a city and a mother in Israel. Why should you swallow up the inheritance of Jehovah?” 20 To this Jo′ab answered and said: “It is altogether unthinkable on my part that I should swallow up and that I should bring to ruin. 21 The matter is not that way, but a man from the mountainous region of E′phra·im, whose name is She′ba the son of Bich′ri, has lifted up his hand against King David. YOU people, give him over by himself, and I will withdraw from the city.” Then the woman said to Jo′ab: “Look! His head [will be] pitched to you over the wall!” 22 At once the woman went in her wisdom to all the people, and they proceeded to cut off the head of She′ba the son of Bich′ri and pitch it to Jo′ab. Upon that he blew the horn, and so they were scattered from the city, each one to his home; and Jo′ab himself returned to Jerusalem to the king.

In 2Chronicles chapter 34 King Josiah wanted to learn more about Jehovah. He sent a delegation to a women named Huldah. They heeded her counsel and made many religious reforms that had a positive impact on Israel.

(2 Chronicles 34:22-28) 22 Accordingly Hil·ki′ah along with those whom the king [had said] went to Hul′dah the prophetess, the wife of Shal′lum the son of Tik′vah the son of Har′has the caretaker of the garments, as she was dwelling in Jerusalem in the second quarter; and they proceeded to speak to her like this. 23 In turn she said to them: “This is what Jehovah the God of Israel has said, ‘SAY to the man that sent YOU to me: 24 “This is what Jehovah has said, ‘Here I am bringing calamity upon this place and its inhabitants, all the curses that are written in the book that they read before the king of Judah, 25 due to the fact that they have left me and gone making sacrificial smoke to other gods, in order to offend me with all the doings of their hands and that my rage may pour forth upon this place and not be extinguished.’” 26 And to the king of Judah, who is sending YOU to inquire of Jehovah, this is what YOU should say to him: “This is what Jehovah the God of Israel has said, ‘As regards the words that you have heard, 27 for the reason that your heart was soft so that you humbled yourself because of God at your hearing his words concerning this place and its inhabitants, and you humbled yourself before me and ripped your garments apart and wept before me, I, even I, have heard, is the utterance of Jehovah. 28 Here I am gathering you to your forefathers, and you will certainly be gathered to your graveyard in peace, and your eyes will not look upon all the calamity that I am bringing upon this place and its inhabitants.’”’”. . .

In John chapter 20 Jesus entrusted Mary Magdalene with certain messages to deliver.

(John 20:15-18) . . .” 16 Jesus said to her: “Mary!” Upon turning around, she said to him, in Hebrew: “Rab·bo′ni!” (which means “Teacher!”) 17 Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me. For I have not yet ascended to the Father. But be on your way to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and YOUR Father and to my God and YOUR God.’” 18 Mary Mag′da·lene came and brought the news to the disciples: “I have seen the Lord!” and that he said these things to her.

In Romans chapter 16 Priscilla is mentioned as a fellow worker. Paul entrusted a woman to deliver his letter to the Romans.

(Romans 16:1-7) 16 I recommend to YOU Phoe′be our sister, who is a minister of the congregation that is in Cen′chre·ae, 2 that YOU may welcome her in [the] Lord in a way worthy of the holy ones, and that YOU may assist her in any matter where she may need YOU, for she herself also proved to be a defender of many, yes, of me myself. 3 Give my greetings to Pris′ca and Aq′ui·la my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, 4 who have risked their own necks for my soul, to whom not only I but also all the congregations of the nations render thanks; 5 and [greet] the congregation that is in their house. Greet my beloved E·pae′ne·tus, who is a firstfruits of Asia for Christ. 6 Greet Mary, who has performed many labors for YOU. 7 Greet An·dron′i·cus and Ju′ni·as my relatives and my fellow captives, who are men of note among the apostles and who have been in union with Christ longer than I have.

So it is clear that woman are not to have a passive role in the work but are to respect the arrangements of authority.

There are many examples of women in various positions of authority in the bible. For example in Judges chapter 13 God entrusted his plans for Samson to a woman. He had so much confidence in her that when her husband inquired Jehovah about it he reaffirmed the woman would do as he told her to. In Judges chapter 4 Deborah was a leader in Israel who made very decisive military decisions. We know Jehovah approved because there was peace in the land for forty years. In 2Kings 2:8-20 and 23:1-25 Huldah was a woman who gave spiritual council to the king. He heeded her council and things went well. This shows we are to obey leaders. It doesn’t say male leaders but leaders. So male or female we must submit to them. Hebrews 13:17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.

Many take this scripture and a few others out of context and oppress women. This and other scriptures are clearly speaking of womens role in the congregation. It does not say they should always be submissive. 1Timothy 2:11 Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve; 14 and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.

Galatians 3:28 Shows we are all one in Christ.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Mark 16:17, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils…

If we are going to take scripture out of context we could assume that since Paul is a man only men have authority over demons. We know this is not true because the bible says we are all one in Christ. It also stated all in Pentecost received the holy spirit.

Acts 2 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit enabled them.

God is a God of organization so he has made the man head over the wife. But does that means he should be in complete control over her. Of course not, we are to follow Jesus example and treat them in a way that honors God. Jesus even set the example of the type of humility we should display.

Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.

John 13:2 The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. 3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; 4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?” 7 Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” 8 “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.” 9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!” 10 Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.” 11 For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean. 12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. 1John 3:16This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? 18Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

We are to treat women as equals.

1Corinthians 11:11 Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. 12 For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.

Women have authority within the household. In Proverbs it mentions the many abilities a women could have. Many of the task require authority, though the man is head of the woman it is clear she is granted authority that should be respected.

Proverbs 31:10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. 11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. 13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. 15 She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. 16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. 18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. 19 In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. 20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. 21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. 22 She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. 23 Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.

Now we established that women can have authority and often does have it. So whether the authority is male or female if we go against that authority we are going against God.

Romans 15:13 Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. 2 So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished. 3 For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you. 4 The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong. 5 So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience.

Since we are all one in Christ and even women were considered Abraham’s seed it would be wise to treat them with honor, respect, compassion and humility because woman will be among the 144,000 who will rule as priest and kings judging the earth. So if you treat a women in a way that does not honor God you could be dishonoring one of our future rulers with Christ.

Galatians 3:26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Revelations 14 Then I saw, and look! the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who have his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads. 2 I heard a sound coming out of heaven like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder; and the sound that I heard was like singers who accompany themselves by playing on their harps. 3 And they are singing what seems to be a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders, and no one was able to master that song except the 144,000, who have been bought from the earth. 4 These are the ones who did not defile themselves with women; in fact, they are virgins. These are the ones who keep following the Lamb no matter where he goes. These were bought from among mankind as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb, 5 and no deceit was found in their mouths; they are without blemish.

Revelations 20:4 And I saw thrones, and those who sat on them were given authority to judge. Yes, I saw the souls* of those executed for the witness they gave about Jesus and for speaking about God, and those who had not worshiped the wild beast or its image and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand. And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for 1,000 years.

Promises should not be taken lightly. Breaking them can put us under judgement.

IMG_20140719_205356

Many break promises and now days if you remind the person you become the villain. But in God’s eyes who is right and who is wrong? The bible tells us it is better to not make a vow. It is more serious then people realize breaking a promise, especially if you had no real intentions of keeping it.

(Ecclesiastes 5:5) 5 Better is it that you vow not than that you vow and do not pay. . .

If we have broken a promise and have not tried to make it right then that has made us a liar because we stated something and made a vow and did not fulfill it. We know God does not approve of false statements.

(Proverbs 12:22) 22 False lips are something detestable to Jehovah, but those acting in faithfulness are a pleasure to him. . .

We may make a promise because we don’t want to look mean or uncaring but if we cannot fulfill that promise then we are not being honest with ourselves or the other person.

(Proverbs 25:14) 14 As vaporous clouds and a wind without any downpour is a man boasting himself about a gift in falsehood. . .

The lie originated with Satan, we do not want to choose him as a father we know that will not end well.

(John 8:44) 44 YOU are from YOUR father the Devil, and YOU wish to do the desires of YOUR father. That one was a manslayer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of [the lie].

In Romans they mentioned those God’s wrath would be against. Those who are false to agreements are among those who will experience God’s wrath.

(Romans 1:28-31) 28 And just as they did not approve of holding God in accurate knowledge, God gave them up to a disapproved mental state, to do the things not fitting, 29 filled as they were with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, badness, being full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malicious disposition, being whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, insolent, haughty, self-assuming, inventors of injurious things, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, false to agreements, having no natural affection, merciless.

The bible tells us no matter what if we make a promise we are to do our best to fulfill that promise.

(Proverbs 6:1-5) 6 My son, if you have gone surety for your fellowman, [if] you have given your handshake even to the stranger, 2 [if] you have been ensnared by the sayings of your mouth, [if] you have been caught by the sayings of your mouth, 3 take this action then, my son, and deliver yourself, for you have come into the palm of your fellowman: Go humble yourself and storm your fellowman with importunities. 4 Do not give any sleep to your eyes, nor any slumber to your beaming eyes. 5 Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand and like a bird from the hand of the birdcatcher.

Even if the promise is not favorable to us we are to keep it.

(Psalm 15:4)  4 In his eyes anyone contemptible is certainly rejected, But those fearing Jehovah he honors. He has sworn to what is bad [for himself], and yet he does not alter. . .

We are in times of uncertainty. To avoid making a statement that may end up proving false if we cannot fulfill it, it may be better to not make a promise or agreement.

(Matthew 5:34-37) 34 However, I say to YOU: Do not swear at all, neither by heaven, because it is God’s throne; 35 nor by earth, because it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, because it is the city of the great King. 36 Nor by your head must you swear, because you cannot turn one hair white or black. 37 Just let YOUR word Yes mean Yes, YOUR No, No; for what is in excess of these is from the wicked one. . .

When it comes to promises we could put ourselves under judgement if we do not fulfill it.

(James 5:12) 12 Above all things, though, my brothers, stop swearing, yes, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath. But let YOUR Yes mean Yes, and YOUR No, No, so that YOU do not fall under judgment. . .

If we have wronged someone by breaking a promise or we have been wronged and we confronted the person and they apologize then just as we have been forgiven by our heavenly father we should forgive others. They also should forgive us but we need to make sure we do not put ourselves in a position to be judged again.

(Colossians 3:13, 14) 13 Continue putting up with one another and forgiving one another freely if anyone has a cause for complaint against another. Even as Jehovah freely forgave YOU, so do YOU also. 14 But, besides all these things, [clothe yourselves with] love, for it is a perfect bond of union.

(Matthew 6:14, 15) 14 “For if YOU forgive men their trespasses, YOUR heavenly Father will also forgive YOU; 15 whereas if YOU do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will YOUR Father forgive YOUR trespasses. . .

What about the forgotten or lost books of the bible?

IMG_20140719_205356
Only Jesus could open the scrolls. People use this scripture to try to say there will be other scrolls. The scrolls mentioned are not for man but for our king Jesus Christ.
Revelations 5:2 5 But one of the elders said to me: “Stop weeping. Look! The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has conquered so as to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
We know that final the seal will be opened in the time of judgement.
Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. But another scroll was opened; it is the scroll of life. The dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds. These scrolls will be used to judge those living in judgement time and those who are resurrected. 2Timothy 4:4 I solemnly charge you before God and Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his manifestation and his Kingdom:
Judgement will start when the great harlot which is false religion has been destroyed.
Revelations 19: After this I heard what seemed to be a loud voice of a great crowd in heaven. They said: “Praise Jah! The salvation and the glory and the power belong to our God, 2 because his judgments are true and righteous. For he has executed judgment on the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality, and he has avenged the blood of his slaves that is on her hands.” 3 And right away for the second time they said: “Praise Jah! And the smoke from her goes on ascending forever and ever.”
The scrolls will be used to judge the unrighteous who died. Those who were righteous when they died will continue to live when resurrected.
Now that we have identified what those scrolls are it dispells the myth many religions have that claim the scroll has been opened and revealed to their supposed prophets.
The books of the bible have been sealed we are not to add to or take from them. So any other supposed books are inspired by demons. We have to remember the demons know the bible also. Satan quoted the bible when he was trying to tempt Jesus.
Revelation 22:18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.
Here are some scriptures to help identify false teachers. Notice they will not follow Jesus teaching but will have their own.
1Timothy 4:1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.
This is what the results of those teachings will be.
2Timothy 3:3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.
We must worship in truth or God will not except our worship.
1Corinthians 10:You cannot be drinking the cup of Jehovah and the cup of demons; you cannot be partaking of “the table of Jehovah” and the table of demons. Collisions 2:8See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.
Most know Jesus is seated on the throne so we know the gift of prophesying has been done away with. The gifts where a shadow of what was to come in the new system. Jesus and the apostles demonstrated what God can do. The proof is no longer needed we have it recorded in God’s word. God still performs miracles for people but the gifts the apostles had were done away with when the last of them died.
1Corinthians 13:8 Love never fails. But if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away with; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away with.
So what about modern day faith healers. They were prophesied.
Matthew 24:24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will perform great signs and wonders so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen ones.
Any teachings other then what Jesus taught are not from God. Especially any prophets because those gifts were done away with. All the knowledge we need leading up to the end of this system is in the bible.
Galations 1:12 11 I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin. 12 I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.
Jesus wants our knowledge to be complete. If there were other books he would have stated that. He would have said there would be other books but he said we are not to add to or take from God’s word so we know that any other scrolls are teachings of demons and not from God.

Why guard our hearts?

If you don't read it how can you have faith.
Guarding our hearts. Why should we guard our hearts? The bible teaches use that everything that comes out of us comes from the heart. So everything we do is affected by the heart.
Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
God looks at our heart when judging us so it is even more reason to guard it.
1Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
Even more reason to guard the heart is the bible tells us it can be deceitful. Our hearts can even become hardened towards Jehovah and lead us astray.
Psalm 95:7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you hear his voice, 8 do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as on the day at Massah in the wilderness,
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? 10“I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”
If our heart is wise we can make Gods rejoice.
Proverbs 23:15 My son, if your heart is wise, My heart will rejoice—indeed, I myself; 16 Yes, my inmost being will rejoice When your lips speak right things.
So what things can have a bad impact on our hearts. One thing we learn that can do that is. Not appreciating what Jehovah has provided for us. We need to appreciate what we do have.
Exodus 16:3 and the people of Israel said to them, “Would that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots and ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”
Philipians 2:14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing,
Putting spiritual things over wealth guards our hearts.
Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” 6 So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid What can mere mortals do to me?”
Speaking about bad things can harden our hearts.
Ephesians 4:31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
When we have a short coming we must work on overcoming it so we don’t get overtaken by it.
James 1:13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
False pride can affect our hearts. Seeking the glory from others instead of giving God glory.
Ezekial 28:17 Your heart was proud because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I exposed you before kings, to feast their eyes on you.
To protect the heart we need to focus on spiritual things.
2:Corinthians 10:4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ
Instead of seeing the bad in everyone and everything try to find the good in all situations.
Philipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Do not get overwhelmed by anxieties and fears of life. Put things in prayer to Jehovah.
Philipians 4:6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Stay away from people and things that God would not approve of the best we can.
Collossians 3:Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
Always let God’s word guide us, we should never lean on our own thinking. We need to keep in mind we are imperfect. Proverbs 3:Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Admit we are imperfect so we will be more aware and do not get over confident.
1John 1:If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Try our best to imitate Jesus.
Galations 5:And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Never give up learning about Jehovah God.
Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Do not hate anyone. Not even your enemies.
Matthew 5:44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48 You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Do your best to avoid anger.
James 1:For the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. James 1:19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Learn to leave anger go because it can open the way for Satan.
Ephesians 4:26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil. Matthew 5:22 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.
Do not befriend ill tempered people or vengeful people.
Proverbs 22:24 Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man,
Everything we do should bring praise for God and not ourselves.
1Corinthians 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
If we do not guard our hearts we become no better then the ones who tortured and killed Jesus.
Matthew 13:14 Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says: “‘“You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive.” 15 For this people’s heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.’
Remember if we reject Jesus and his teachings we reject God.
John 12:48 The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.
Always keep in mind Satan is on the prowl so we need Gods word to guide us.
1Peter 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
If we successfully guard our hearts we will receive the gift of life.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Also by guarding our hearts we can better answer the reason for our faith. God will remember the things we have done for him.
1Peter 3:13 Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? 14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats ; do not be frightened.”c 15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. 17 For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. 18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.
Psalm 55:Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee. He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Hebrews 6:10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
We are in the last days so we are going to suffer no matter what wouldn’t it be better to suffer as a righteous person?
1peter 4:1 4:1 So, since Christ suffered in the flesh, you also arm yourselves with the same attitude, because the one who has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin,
Also we must have faith that no matter what happens God do whats best.
Hebrews 11:6 Now without faith it is impossible to please him, for the one who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Others speech reveals a lot about them and whether we should associate or not.

Sorry about the format of this. I put spaces to separate the paragraphs but when I update the post the spaces are removed for some reason.
We should not tolerate those speaking bad of others. It is a sign of arrogance which we know Jehovah does not like.
(Psalm 101:5) Anyone slandering his companion in secrecy, Him I silence. Anyone of haughty eyes and of arrogant heart, Him I cannot endure.
If we jump conclusions based on a rumor it could come back to bite us. We should talk to the person ourselves. If we share that rumor and it proves to be false it will smear our reputation. Keep in mind if the truth does not come out Jehovah knows the truth and if the rumor is a lie you have made yourself a liar in Jehovah’s eyes.
(Proverbs 25:8-10) 8 Do not go forth to conduct a legal case hastily, that it may not be a question of what you will do in the culmination of it when your fellowman now humiliates you. 9 Plead your own cause with your fellowman, and do not reveal the confidential talk of another; 10 that the one listening may not put you to shame and the bad report by you can have no recall.
(Matthew 18:15-17) 15 “Moreover, if your brother commits a sin, go lay bare his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he does not listen, take along with you one or two more, in order that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every matter may be established. 17 If he does not listen to them, speak to the congregation. If he does not listen even to the congregation, let him be to you just as a man of the nations and as a tax collector.
If someone is going about revealing things that someone who trusted them told them and telling others about what they have said, they cannot be trusted. We have to stop and think, if they have no qualms in revealing confidential talk and gossip why are they doing that. Are they seeking attention? Are they trying to smear the persons reputation. Are they doing the same thing to you and others?
(Proverbs 20:19) He that is going about as a slanderer is uncovering confidential talk; and with one that is enticed with his lips you must have no fellowship
Gossiping and revealing private conversations causes divisions. People doing these things only cause divisions. These people act very kind and try to get on others good sides and even speak of these things as if they are concerned. We need to be very careful of these ones they can easily draw us in.
(Romans 16:17-20) 17 Now I exhort YOU, brothers, to keep your eye on those who cause divisions and occasions for stumbling contrary to the teaching that YOU have learned, and avoid them. 18 For men of that sort are slaves, not of our Lord Christ, but of their own bellies; and by smooth talk and complimentary speech they seduce the hearts of guileless ones. 19 For YOUR obedience has come to the notice of all. I therefore rejoice over YOU. But I want YOU to be wise as to what is good, but innocent as to what is evil. 20 For his part, the God who gives peace will crush Satan under YOUR feet shortly. May the undeserved kindness of our Lord Jesus be with YOU. . .
We need to be cautious of those who are complaining , keeping in mind seeking an ear for comfort is much different then complaining.
(Jude 16) 16 These men are murmurers, complainers about their lot in life, proceeding according to their own desires, and their mouths speak swelling things, while they are admiring personalities for the sake of [their own] benefit.
We need to be careful of those who try to show how wise they are.
(Isaiah 5:21) 21 Woe to those wise in their own eyes and discreet even in front of their own face. . .
(Proverbs 15:2) The tongue of wise ones does good with knowledge, but the mouth of the stupid ones bubbles forth with foolishness.
The things that comes out of a person mouth should be up building and comforting.
(Proverbs 25:11) 11 As apples of gold in silver carvings is a word spoken at the right time for it.
We must be cautious about those who make presumptions. Presumptuouness is to do something unwarranted or without a right to. So if they are seem arrogant or over assertive we may want to be careful.
(Proverbs 11:2) Has presumptuousness come? Then dishonor will come; but wisdom is with the modest ones.
When we listen to others we should not jump to false conclusions or make false assumptions we may say something we regret. Often times it may have been a miss understanding or as in my case I sometimes do not clearly say what I am thinking and it may come out wrong.
(James 1:19) Know this, my beloved brothers. Every man must be swift about hearing, slow about speaking, slow about wrath;
If someone gossips or whispers about others we should avoid them. It causes strife, jealousy, anger and many other bad things. God does not approve of back biters and we risk becoming one if we associate with them.
(2 Corinthians 12:20) For I am afraid that somehow, when I arrive, I may find YOU not as I could wish and I may prove to be to YOU not as YOU could wish, but, instead, there should somehow be strife, jealousy, cases of anger, contentions, backbitings, whisperings, cases of being puffed up, disorders
We ourselves must be careful about talking a lot.
We should choose our words wisely and not get into lengthy discussions on things the more words we use the more chance of us committing error.
(Proverbs 10:19) 19 In the abundance of words there does not fail to be transgression, but the one keeping his lips in check is acting discreetly. . .
Many try to hide God’s name, we are to make it known. We should avoid those who do not acknowledge his name. It is his unique name and the name of the only true God.
(Hebrews 13:15) Through him let us always offer to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of lips which make public declaration to his name
(Romans 10:10) For with the heart one exercises faith for righteousness, but with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation.
Our speech should promote unity not strife and conflict.
(Ephesians 4:1-6) 4 I, therefore, the prisoner in [the] Lord, entreat YOU to walk worthily of the calling with which YOU were called, 2 with complete lowliness of mind and mildness, with long-suffering, putting up with one another in love, 3 earnestly endeavoring to observe the oneness of the spirit in the uniting bond of peace. 4 One body there is, and one spirit, even as YOU were called in the one hope to which YOU were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all [persons], who is over all and through all and in all.
(1 Peter 4:15-19) 15 However, let none of YOU suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a busybody in other people’s matters. 16 But if [he suffers] as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name. 17 For it is the appointed time for the judgment to start with the house of God. Now if it starts first with us, what will the end be of those who are not obedient to the good news of God? 18 “And if the righteous [man] is being saved with difficulty, where will the ungodly [man] and the sinner make a showing?” 19 So, then, also let those who are suffering in harmony with the will of God keep on commending their souls to a faithful Creator while they are doing good.
We should not go on the defense when we are a victim of such things but react appropriately so they may be saved.
We have to be cautious of questions and why they are being ask. Look at what the pharisees did to Jesus. I have had someone ask me the same question in a variety of ways. Our memories are imperfect, if I varied in the slightest bit they would try to make it look like I was lying. Watch those asking leading questions or trying to stumble you with questions.
(2 Timothy 2:23-26) 23 Further, turn down foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing they produce fights. 24 But a slave of the Lord does not need to fight, but needs to be gentle toward all, qualified to teach, keeping himself restrained under evil, 25 instructing with mildness those not favorably disposed; as perhaps God may give them repentance leading to an accurate knowledge of truth, 26 and they may come back to their proper senses out from the snare of the Devil, seeing that they have been caught alive by him for the will of that one.
If you experience this do not respond, our heavenly father knows the truth and will judge us all.
(Luke 23:8-10) . . .. 9 Now he began to question him with a good many words; but he made him no answer. 10 However, the chief priests and the scribes kept standing up and vehemently accusing him
We all need to weigh what we say cautiously.
(James 1:26, 27) 26 If any man seems to himself to be a formal worshiper and yet does not bridle his tongue, but goes on deceiving his own heart, this man’s form of worship is futile. 27 The form of worship that is clean and undefiled from the standpoint of our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their tribulation, and to keep oneself without spot from the world. . .
If they are speaking things that are not of God it is Satans thoughts they are thinking so we must be careful associating with them.
We all slip up, even Peter had to be corrected by Jesus.
(Matthew 16:22, 23) . . .” 23 But, turning his back, he said to Peter: “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, because you think, not God’s thoughts, but those of men. . .
God’s wisdom will beat any humans there is no one wiser. That is why we should not get caught up in human wisdom and could lead us astray.
(Colossians 2:8) 8 Look out: perhaps there may be someone who will carry YOU off as his prey through the philosophy and empty deception according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary things of the world and not according to Christ;
Those who refuse to correct their behavior will be dealt dealt with by Jehovah.
(Proverbs 6:12-15) 12 A good-for-nothing man, a man of hurtfulness, is walking with crookedness of speech, 13 winking with his eye, making signs with his foot, making indications with his fingers. 14 Perverseness is in his heart. He is fabricating something bad all the time. He keeps sending out merely contentions. 15 That is why suddenly there will come his disaster; in an instant he will be broken, and there will be no healing. . .
(Matthew 12:36) I tell YOU that every unprofitable saying that men speak, they will render an account concerning it on Judgment Day;
Leave the vengeance to Jehovah.
When someone insults us we should not return the insult.
Watching what we say is very important. It can save or condemn us.
(Luke 6:45) 45 A good man brings forth good out of the good treasure of his heart, but a wicked man brings forth what is wicked out of his wicked [treasure]; for out of the heart’s abundance his mouth speaks. . .
(Mark 7:17-23) . . .. 18 So he said to them: “Are YOU also without perception like them? Are YOU not aware that nothing from outside that passes into a man can defile him, 19 since it passes, not into [his] heart, but into [his] intestines, and it passes out into the sewer?” Thus he declared all foods clean. 20 Further, he said: “That which issues forth out of a man is what defiles a man; 21 for from inside, out of the heart of men, injurious reasonings issue forth: fornications, thieveries, murders, 22 adulteries, covetings, acts of wickedness, deceit, loose conduct, an envious eye, blasphemy, haughtiness, unreasonableness. 23 All these wicked things issue forth from within and defile a man. . .
(Matthew 12:36, 37) 36 I tell YOU that every unprofitable saying that men speak, they will render an account concerning it on Judgment Day; 37 for by your words you will be declared righteous, and by your words you will be condemned.”
If we use or tolerate abusive speech or obscene language it is saying something about ourselves. What comes out of our mouths should build others up. We should not be gossiping or murmuring about others.
(Colossians 3:8-11) 8 But now really put them all away from YOU, wrath, anger, badness, abusive speech, and obscene talk out of YOUR mouth. 9 Do not be lying to one another. Strip off the old personality with its practices, 10 and clothe yourselves with the new [personality], which through accurate knowledge is being made new according to the image of the One who created it, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, foreigner, Scyth′i·an, slave, freeman, but Christ is all things and in all.
(Ephesians 4:28-32) . . .. 29 Let a rotten saying not proceed out of YOUR mouth, but whatever saying is good for building up as the need may be, that it may impart what is favorable to the hearers. 30 Also, do not be grieving God’s holy spirit, with which YOU have been sealed for a day of releasing by ransom. 31 Let all malicious bitterness and anger and wrath and screaming and abusive speech be taken away from YOU along with all badness. 32 But become kind to one another, tenderly compassionate, freely forgiving one another just as God also by Christ freely forgave YOU.
We need to ask ourselves. If we were talking to God would we say it? If not , why not?
(2 Timothy 2:14-17) . . .. 15 Do your utmost to present yourself approved to God, a workman with nothing to be ashamed of, handling the word of the truth aright. 16 But shun empty speeches that violate what is holy; for they will advance to more and more ungodliness, 17 and their word will spread like gangrene. Hy·me·nae′us and Phi·le′tus are of that number.
When someone repented and we have forgiven them we should not be gossiping about their transgression.
(Proverbs 17:9) 9 The one covering over transgression is seeking love, and he that keeps talking about a matter is separating those familiar with one another. . .
I have had even those spiritually related continually ask the same question in different ways and if I was slightly different in my response they would take that as evidence that I was lying.
We need to be careful of those who complain or brag and associating with those who do. It could draw us away we need to stay focused. If they murmur or gossip about others be cautious associating with them. We should keep in mind Korah and how his murmuring cost the lives of many. The things we speak should build unity and peace.
(Jude 16-21) 16 These men are murmurers, complainers about their lot in life, proceeding according to their own desires, and their mouths speak swelling things, while they are admiring personalities for the sake of [their own] benefit. 17 As for YOU, beloved ones, call to mind the sayings that have been previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, 18 how they used to say to YOU: “In the last time there will be ridiculers, proceeding according to their own desires for ungodly things.” 19 These are the ones that make separations, animalistic [men], not having spirituality. 20 But YOU, beloved ones, by building up yourselves on YOUR most holy faith, and praying with holy spirit, 21 keep yourselves in God’s love, while YOU are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ with everlasting life in view. . .
(1 Corinthians 1:10) 10 Now I exhort YOU, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that YOU should all speak in agreement, and that there should not be divisions among YOU, but that YOU may be fitly united in the same mind and in the same line of thought.
What comes out of our mouths and our friends mouths should be for building peace and unity.
If we have confronted a gossiper or someone who appears to be getting caught up in the world and our spiritual relative seems to be getting worse you may bring it to the attention of an elder so they can deal with it in an appropriate manor. Unfortunately in times past it sometimes took confronting them in front of others to get their attention. Now more then ever we will need to learn to forgive because many are coming into the truth and have much to learn we need to be patient with them and teach them and help them grow.
(Luke 17:3, 4) 3 Pay attention to yourselves. If your brother commits a sin give him a rebuke, and if he repents forgive him. 4 Even if he sins seven times a day against you and he comes back to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him..
(Galatians 2:11-14) 11 However, when Ce′phas came to Antioch, I resisted him face to face, because he stood condemned. 12 For before the arrival of certain men from James, he used to eat with people of the nations; but when they arrived, he went withdrawing and separating himself, in fear of those of the circumcised class. 13 The rest of the Jews also joined him in putting on this pretense, so that even Bar′na·bas was led along with them in their pretense. 14 But when I saw they were not walking straight according to the truth of the good news, I said to Ce′phas before them all: “If you, though you are a Jew, live as the nations do, and not as Jews do, how is it that you are compelling people of the nations to live according to Jewish practice?. . .
If we are disciplined we need to accept it and see it for what it is. A loving parent disciplines a child because they wish them no harm and know their course of action if it continues can bring a lot of misery on themselves and even harm. The discipline is for our own good so we should give respect to the one disciplining us.
(Hebrews 12:9-11) 9 Furthermore, we used to have fathers who were of our flesh to discipline us, and we used to give them respect. Shall we not much more subject ourselves to the Father of our spiritual life and live? 10 For they for a few days used to discipline us according to what seemed good to them, but he does so for our profit that we may partake of his holiness. 11 True, no discipline seems for the present to be joyous, but grievous; yet afterward to those who have been trained by it it yields peaceable fruit, namely, righteousness.
I have seen others murmur about those who were struggling and depressed because of hard times. This is not how it should be. We should be comforting them and be a support for them.
(1 Thessalonians 5:12-15) 12 Now we request YOU, brothers, to have regard for those who are working hard among YOU and presiding over YOU in [the] Lord and admonishing YOU; 13 and to give them more than extraordinary consideration in love because of their work. Be peaceable with one another. 14 On the other hand, we exhort YOU, brothers, admonish the disorderly, speak consolingly to the depressed souls, support the weak, be long-suffering toward all. 15 See that no one renders injury for injury to anyone else, but always pursue what is good toward one another and to all others.
What we say could smear our heavenly fathers good name and even cause his name to be spoken of in a bad way.
(2 Peter 2:2, 3) 2 Furthermore, many will follow their acts of loose conduct, and on account of these the way of the truth will be spoken of abusively. 3 Also, with covetousness they will exploit YOU with counterfeit words. But as for them, the judgment from of old is not moving slowly, and the destruction of them is not slumbering.
Now more then ever we need to stay focused on spiritual things.
(Galatians 5:16-21) 16 But I say, Keep walking by spirit and YOU will carry out no fleshly desire at all. 17 For the flesh is against the spirit in its desire, and the spirit against the flesh; for these are opposed to each other, so that the very things that YOU would like to do YOU do not do. 18 Furthermore, if YOU are being led by spirit, YOU are not under law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, and they are fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, 20 idolatry, practice of spiritism, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, contentions, divisions, sects, 21 envies, drunken bouts, revelries, and things like these. As to these things I am forewarning YOU, the same way as I did forewarn YOU, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s kingdom
We should do to others as we would want them to do to us. If we have a bad day and may lose our temper how good do you feel when you have been forgiven by the person you offended. If someone offends us shouldn’t we also let them know we love them by forgiving them?
(Luke 6:31) 31 “Also, just as YOU want men to do to YOU, do the same way to them.
We need to prepare ourselves mentally and spiritually because it is going to get much worse. We know this system is about to collapse and Satan and those who chose his side are only going to accuse us more.
.(Revelation 12:8-12) . . .. 9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God! 11 And they conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their witnessing, and they did not love their souls even in the face of death. 12 On this account be glad, YOU heavens and YOU who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to YOU, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.”
If we choose to follow Jesus then we will also be treated as he was. We know we are very near the end of this system and Satan and his people will turn on us just as they did Jesus. Jesus was innocent and look at the things that were said about and to him.
(Acts 24:5-8) 5 For we have found this man a pestilent fellow and stirring up seditions among all the Jews throughout the inhabited earth and a spearhead of the sect of the Naz·a·renes′, 6 one who also tried to profane the temple and whom we seized. 7 —— 8 From him you yourself can by examination find out about all these things of which we are accusing him.”
(John 15:18-21) 18 If the world hates YOU, YOU know that it has hated me before it hated YOU. 19 If YOU were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because YOU are no part of the world, but I have chosen YOU out of the world, on this account the world hates YOU. 20 Bear in mind the word I said to YOU, A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute YOU also; if they have observed my word, they will observe YOURS also. 21 But they will do all these things against YOU on account of my name, because they do not know him that sent me.
Keep in mind God knows what they are doing is wrong and he will deal with them. He hates lies also and finds it detestable. Keep in mind who is behind the bad speech.
Jesus suffered the persecution and left us an example of how we should deal with it.
(1 Peter 2:21-23) 21 In fact, to this [course] YOU were called, because even Christ suffered for YOU, leaving YOU a model for YOU to follow his steps closely. 22 He committed no sin, nor was deception found in his mouth. 23 When he was being reviled, he did not go reviling in return. When he was suffering, he did not go threatening, but kept on committing himself to the one who judges righteously.
We need to be very careful associating with those who do not produce the fruits of the spirit but are displaying the fruits of Satan and those who reject our heavenly father. Many of us will be isolated and will have to depend mainly on Jehovah for our support so we need to draw as close as we can to him now. The things occurring can rob us of our happiness and health. If they seem to have a form of godly devotion but are not producing God fruit we should be cautious.
(2 Timothy 3:1-5) 3 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here.
Those producing good fruits will strengthen and build us up not tear us down.
(James 3:17, 18) 17 But the wisdom from above is first of all chaste, then peaceable, reasonable, ready to obey, full of mercy and good fruits, not making partial distinctions, not hypocritical. 18 Moreover, the fruit of righteousness has its seed sown under peaceful conditions for those who are making peace. . .
(Galatians 5:22-24) 22 On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Moreover, those who belong to Christ Jesus impaled the flesh together with its passions and desire.
It is more important then ever to take God’s word in now we are at a turning point and things are going to change very soon. We will need Jehovah more then we ever have before. So we need to put on the complete armor of God. This involves having an accurate knowledge of the truth, trying our best to have a good standing with our heavenly father, sharing the good news, we need to have faith in the future promises and God’s ability to fulfill what he has promised. We have to have an accurate knowledge of how salvation has and will occur by putting God’s words in our hearts. We must pray continually, especially now in these times even little decisions can go bad with all the corruption and Satans attacks. We must keep awake especially now.
(Ephesians 6:10-13) 10 Finally, go on acquiring power in [the] Lord and in the mightiness of his strength. 11 Put on the complete suit of armor from God that YOU may be able to stand firm against the machinations of the Devil; 12 because we have a wrestling, not against blood and flesh, but against the governments, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places. 13 On this account take up the complete suit of armor from God, that YOU may be able to resist in the wicked day and, after YOU have done all things thoroughly, to stand firm.14 Stand firm, therefore, with YOUR loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and with YOUR feet shod with the equipment of the good news of peace. 16 Above all things, take up the large shield of faith, with which YOU will be able to quench all the wicked one’s burning missiles. 17 Also, accept the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, that is, God’s word, 18 while with every form of prayer and supplication YOU carry on prayer on every occasion in spirit. And to that end keep awake with all constancy and with supplication in behalf of all the holy ones, 19 also for me, that ability to speak may be given me with the opening of my mouth, with freeness of speech to make known the sacred secret of the good news

You can get Firefox at https://www.mozilla.org .  Once you go to Mozilla’s website, scroll down and you will see a download button on the right. Don’t worry it is free and safe software. You will love this browser, it is very fast. Once you download and install it proceed to the next step.

Now below that you will see version. You can choose what version of the  scriptures you want to use. I have found the (ASV) American Standard Bible, (NLT) New Living Translation or (KJV21) 21st Century King James Version to be the easiest for me to read.  Make sure there is a check mark in the box at the bottom that says open references in new browser window so that when you click a scripture you won’t lose your page.  Then close the tab and you are ready to go.

Choosing Bible Version

All you have to do is click on the scripture and a new browser window will open to the scripture.

Now try it out on these scriptures.    Psalms 83:18 , Romans 10:13John 17:26

Keep in mind that most bibles have removed God’s name Jehovah from their bibles and replaced it with the general term God.

   I hope this helps someone.
