Excess Oxidative stress leads to chronic illness there is a test to see if you have excess oxidative stress. If you do not get it resolved you cannot heal. There is a test that can check for excess oxidative stress. Excess inflammation and toxins can also cause chronic illness. Identifying the root cause and correcting it is very important. Microbial imbalance in the gut have been linked to diabetes, Alzheimer’s and many other forms of chronic illness.

There are other test that can help identify which areas of the anti-oxidant system are working and which may not be working. This can help identify the sources of high ROS levels or other toxins produced in the body from oxidative stress.

Issues with the Folate pathway can cause Type 1 diabetes. I wouldn’t doubt if folic acid could contribute to this. It is man made and the body does not produce enough of the enzyme needed to break it down. Many have high levels of folic acid which can effect the brain, increase our risk of cancer and have many other negative health effects on our body. Sadly the scientific and medical community use folate and folic acid interchangeably.  Science has gotten very sloppy now days. Folate is the natural form.

Metabolic, inflammation and infection can cause thrombosis and fibrosis. These are found to be common in diabetes so if someone has diabetes they need to address the cause of the oxidative stress , inflammation or metabolic issues or whatever else is causing the health problems. Diabetes is a symptom not a cause. Allopathic medicine only looks at and treats symptoms they do not address the cause. There is no money in curing. A healthy patient is a lost customer. These are a sign of endothelial dysfunction.

They say folic acid, for some reason many medical professionals use the term folate interchangebly with folic acid which most know by now is toxic to the body. I do not know if they are doing it to promote it for better sales or if they are in error or are just doing sloppy science but folic acid can be toxic to the body. Folate is the safe one it is natural.

These studies frustrate me. Instead of looking at what is causing the bile issues they are looking at the symptoms and how to resolve them. The symptoms are not the cause. Posting these links to demonstrate something. Inflammation, oxidative stress and many other things cause Fe3 to build up in the body to cause iron toxicity. The body cannot use Fe 3. Lactoferrin and curcumin reduce Fe3 . This would increase Gs/1 which should let B cell grow. Because Fe3 cannot be used by the body it would work as if a person was deficient in iron. They chelate iron from the body to fight cancer because it reduces Gs/1.  So by reducing Fe3 in the body it would let our bodies restore iron levels back to normal which should promote B cell growth. I could find little research to verify what I believe but I am convinced it would help.

High Ammonia/Alkalosis Levels in chronic illness.

Ammonia is very toxic to the body and can be formed when there are too many toxins, endotoxins can cause it, vitamin deficiencies, infections, farm chemicals in our food, vitamin deficiencies can cause it and oxidative stress can cause high ammonia levels. When we have high ammonia levels it alkalize our digestive system and our bladder. They are normally acidic. Most pathogens thrive in an alkaline environment. Candida goes from commensal to pathogenic in an alkaline environment and then it will start to alkalize even more. This kills our good bacteria that regulates our gut and bladder PH. I rarely ever fart now I have reach gut homeostasis.

If not addressed it can cause brain swelling.

http://www.neuroradiologycases.com/2012/02/hyperammonemic-encephalopathy-mri.html

Toxins can cause Lysinuric protein intolerance which causes high ammonia levels when protein is consumed. I did a post on proteinuria it should help with this. If not addressed this can lead to copd or NAFLD.

One of the differences between acidosis and alkalosis is that nerves become hyper sensitive in alkalosis and we become excitable. In acidosis nerves are depressed and we become drowsy. Alkalosis is usually caused by fungal infections acidosis by infections that produce endotoxins like Lyme or a viral infection.

Symptoms include brain fog, depression, delusions, neurological problems, swelling in the throat, gut dysbiosis, interstitial cystitis or frequent bladder infections, gall stones the list goes on and on.

If you have a blocked or upregualted CBS pathway , or an upregulated BH4 pathway and don’t address it this could make you ill. Most with those issues would benefit from taking P5P, selenium, and magnesium citrate. Also three times a week molybdenum and manganese. Do not use magnesium citrate more then twice a week. The body recycles it and it can build up in the body and start causing liver and kidney damage and destroy red blood cells. Citrate also reduces oxalates.

Issues with our CBS pathway could also cause high ammonia levels. Anything that causes high sulfite levels can cause high ammonia levels. Gene mutations only present when there are many things wrong, once I got my ammonia levels and sulfite levels down I could start consuming high sulfur foods again. I still take the nutrients once in a while to support those pathways so it does not become a problem again. Glyphosate also effects the pathways negatively so we should try our best to eat organic. Also if we have gut dysbiosis then we need to address that because that raises our sulfite and hydroxy radical levels which also causes high ammonia levels.

Not getting enough cholesterol, high sulfite level, and oxidative stress can inhibit bile production. This make H Pylori go from commensal to a pathogenic form. Bile helps detox ammonia from the body. If it feels like a brick is in your stomach after you eat and you get gassy then you have low bile production which will lead to low stomach acid production. Your food is fermenting instead of being digested which will also cause high sulfite levels and high ammonia levels.

Hyper Excitement of NMDA (autism also known as encephalitis)

This is not medical advice I am posting this for informational and educational purposes.

stock-photo-concept-of-human-intelligence-with-human-brain-on-blue-background-294471983

The NMDA receptors in the brain is one of the most effected when we are ill. It can cause blurred vision, trouble with light it will glare to those effected. You may get buzzing in the ears. It can cause bipolarism, autism , schizophrenia, dissociative behavior and tunnel vision among many other issues.

The main causes of this now days are tick born illness, vaccine injury and consuming genetically modified foods and other foods high in glyphosate.

Most things like metabolic issues , oxidative stress, autoimmunity that I mention in here I have posted on and you can find it using the search feature in my blog.

NMDA Receptors

Information on how the NMDA receptor functions.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1760733/

L-glutamate or glutamic acid is one of the most important of the excitatory neurotransmitters. It is released by many different types of neurons and stimulates other neurons at the synapses. The excitatory neurotransmitters act to stimulate the next neuron to fire.

Excitotoxicity is when levels of excitatory neurotransmitters are to high, at which point the level of neuronal activation or induced firing of neurons becomes damaging.

GABA inhibits firing of neurons. GABA is synthesized from glutamine. It needs the active form of B6, pyridoxal phophate. When there have been inhibitions in metabolic pathways the body may not be able to convert the B6 to the active form causing a build up of glutamine or glutamate. This can lead to dysfunction in the brain. It can also lead to high ammonia levels. Raised ammonia levels can kill our good gut bacteria and let the sulfur digesting and methane producing bacteria increase in numbers. This will also happen in the bladder. Also high ammonia levels will make candida go from commensal to pathogenic form. This will cause high sulfite levels which will interfere with BH4, I discussed earlier the problems that creates. The high sulfite levels can also cause problems with the CBS pathway which can eventually effect the Krebs Cycle.

GABA and glutamate are balanced in the brain . P5P deficiency can result in elevated glutamate to GABA ratio in the brain which results in elevated levels of exitotoxicity.

Taurine performs manby vital functions in the body including nutritional metal transport into the cells.

L-glycine is an inhibitor of neurotransmitter.

N-Methyl-D-Aspartate (NMDA) receptors found in various nerve cells or neurons in the brain. They are stimulated by glutamate and aspartate (aspartic acid). There are 4 main types of of neurotransmitters. NMDA, AMPA, Kainate and Metabotropic receptors.

NMDA primary role is to respond to glutamate or aspartate. NMDA is also stimulated by glycine and polyamines. Aspartate is also involved in the Krebs cycle. Polyamines are interesting, they do not know a lot about them but from what I have read they are almost like software that will zip or compress files then decompress them. They also have a lot of other functions.

Post synaptic NMDA receptor hyper excitement by the presence of elevated glutamate and aspartate levels and/or insufficient GABA, Taurene or Glycine levels results in the receptor opening a channel in the cell membrane allowing the influx of calcium (Ca2+) ions and a reduction of potassium (k+) ions. This has been linked to many brain disorders and it is a common theme in a variety of disorders effecting the brain. The influx of calcium into the cells stimulates NOS leading to NO production in post synaptic cells. I discussed eNOS and iNOS in my post on Nitrosative Stress. Most of the NO production in the NMDA receptor is from nNOS. This can increase peroxynitrite levels because of elevated superoxide levels from oxidative stress. This can damage the brain and blood brain barrier. This can also deplete ATP , when ATP levels are low the NMDA receptors become hyper sensitive.

When the NMDA receptor is hyper sensitive a person will become sensitive to many thing, sound, light, certain odors especially toxic ones. It can make a person sensitive to chemicals because of the over stimulation.

Copper moduclates the NMDA receptor. When we have an infection our bodies will hide copper in our soft tissue. This can make us appear to be deficient in copper. Vitamin C frees the copper from our soft tissue. Do not take too much, in high doses vitamin C destroys red blood cells. If you are deficient in copper liquid chlorophyll is a good source of copper.

Muscarinic

Muscarinic receptors are G-protein (molecular switches) coupled acetycholine receptors. They are found on the outer membrane of certain neurons and cells. There are five types of Muscarinic Acetylcholine receptors (mACHRs). M1-M5 , when the odd numbered receptors are stimulated they produce increased levels of cytoplasmic (material within a cell) calcium ions in the cell. The odd number receptors trigger synthesis of a chemical messenger IP3 (inositol triphosphate-a phytate) which releases intercellular calcium stores from certain calcium stores that have been sequestered away in the cell. The increased cellular calcium concentration will lead to increased NO production by nNOS and eNOS this can lead to high peroxynitrite levels.

Over stimulation of mACHRs from farm chemicals and many other toxins like heavy metals cause high acetycholine levels by inhibiting acetylcholesterase enzyme which breaks down acetylcholine. This causes high levels of acetycholine which causes the release of NO leading to the production of peroxynitrite. Excessive supplementation of DMAE or Centrophenoxine which has a DMAE component can result in elevated acetylcholine. This can also lead to excess inflammation throughout the body because it is involved in reducing inflammation.

High acetylcholine levels can cause anxiety and high risk taking behavior and mood swings.

Psychological Stress or Trauma

Psychological stress or trauma causes high NO levels which can lead to high peroxynitrite levels which is very damaging to the brain and body. iNOS is upregulated in the lungs and liver during stress. High iNOS levels have been found to be common in post traumatic stress disorder and many illnesses involving chronic fatigue. iNOS is also unregulated during physical trauma which makes those who have been abused more susceptible to chronic fatigue disorders.

Vaccinations and NMDA

It is stated on many vaccine inserts that brain swelling is a side effect. Vaccinations have a dramatic impact on the NMDA and Muscarinic receptors causing the above mentioned things. If you look up the symptoms of autism you will see that brain swelling is the main symptom. But the pharmaceutical companies play the rename game. When people start figuring things out they will rename an illness. They now call it encephalopathy. They played this very game when people figured out that Gulf War Syndrome was caused by vaccinations. They now call it ASIA syndrome.

Endotoxemia or Sepsis

This is not medical advice and should not be taken as such. I post this for educational and informational purposes.

Because most allopathic medical treatment is not based valid scientific research you need to be your own advocate and do your research. Allopathic medicine is usually about 50 years behind the science. So in order to be healthier you will need to educate yourself and become an advocate for your own health . It takes a lot of self discipline and persistence.

I did a post on Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction. Herxing is a symptom of the die off from an infection. In this post I am going to show what all is going on as a pathogens die off. One of the major toxins is endotoxins they also secrete excitoxins. They cause most of the damage from dying pathogens. The presence of endotoxins in the blood is called endotoxemia. You do not have to be treated with antibiotics to experience it. The body fighting infection can raise endotoxins in the blood. Many now days most likely are carrying and infection of some type and do not know it because vaccinations have been found to be contaminated with mycoplasma and most have been vaccinated. Mycoplasmas can live in the body for many years. Endotoxins are usually connected to bacterial infections. Endotoxins can be released when fungal infections die off also. When Candida is in pathogenic form it will release endotoxins when it dies off. Inflammation is the main culprit in endotoxemia. It can inhibit many metabolic pathways, disable the immune system. As a matter of fact it is one of the main tactics used by HIV and Lyme to disable the immune system. It will take a while but I will try to do post on methods used to address the many health issues caused by endotoxemia.

Now GMOs and the farm chemicals used in agriculture can cause the very same things but have to be dealt with somewhat differently. Our food supply has been found to contain high levels of farm chemicals and the BT Toxin in Genetically Modified foods has been found to cause the body to react the same way it would if you had food poisoning. That is why many feel like they have a brick in their stomach after eating. So you can experience sepsis which would resemble endotoxemia but need to address it somewhat differently. If time permits I will address sepsis caused by things like these. Imagine if you are dealing with an infection which many infections can persist for years without major symptoms and now you are dealing with sepsis from farm chemicals. Now you have become Synergistically Ill. Vaccine injury is a result of a synergistic effect of the bodies reactions to the pathogen in the vaccine and the toxins so it would be a synergistic type illness. Just just as we would need to learn how farm toxins and environmental toxins contributed synergistically to make someone ill and how those toxins effected the body would need to be researched and addressed so would the toxins in the vaccine that caused the injury and how the toxins in them have effected the body.

Inflammation causes changes in pathways involved in oxidative stress, fatty acid metabolism, the bodies system for healing and protecting itself, and the coagulation system of the blood. This can result in a variety of illnesses and each is effected differently. In some instances in the elderly instead of having excess inflammation their inflammatory response may be inhibited which can prevent the body from healing and protecting itself. Once Lyme sets off an inflammatory response it will use this tactic to protect itself from an immune response. Lyme sets off an inflammatory response to initially evade the immune system. This causes the body to unleash an all out attack but Lyme is prepared for such an attack and once established it will start doing the opposite and start inhibiting inflammation to help stealth itself from the bodies immune system. Drugs are another source of synergistic effects that can cause a synergistic effect of sepsis and side effects that cause injury to the body which complicates matters. Many believe they are only dealing with sepsis but often times they are dealing with the synergistic effects of sepsis and something else in their environment. Fluroquinolones are known to cause major damage to the body and induce sepsis causing a synergistic effect.

In order to detox the endotoxins we must focus on controlling inflammation, we need inflammation to heal so homeostasis is the goal. We need inflammation to heal so if we suppress it too much then we will prevent ourselves from healing. We need to reduce inflammation but not prevent it entirely.

So we must address the issues the inflammation and high toxin levels have caused, thing like inhibited glucuronidation, sulfation issues, porphyria, phenylketonuria, and many other metabolic issues that can occur from chronic illness. Not only that but many other things need to be addressed our detox enzymes can be inhibited or depleted and would need to be addressed. This can be done with proper nutritional support and diet adjustments to prevent feeding the problems and making them worse. For example cutting processed sugars especially fructose from the diet. This does not mean cutting the fruits that contain sugars in them because they are actually needed by the body and are different because of the way they enter the body and are used by the body. I have posted on how I dealt with some of these issues already.

The majority of the medical community seem to be unaware of endotoxemia and do not seem to be able to identify or deal with it.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29778648

I have found this to be very common in those with endotoxemia. Bile flow has been obstructed from the inflammation. This results in effects on the whole body. It is why we must work on getting inflammation down when suffering from endotoxemia. Inflammation is the major cause of the damage to our bodies.

This was the hardest part to deal with for me. Our diaphragms can become pretty much paralyzed. When I told my Lyme Literate Medical Doctor that sometimes I struggle to breath and had to force my diaphragm to work he laughed at me. I have come to the conclusion that LLMDs are a part of the fake allopathic medicine. Most allopathic medical treatment is not backed by science.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29925937

Many develop high acetycholine levels because endotoxins can inhibit acetylcholesterase which breaks down acetylcholine. It is very important to address this because not only will this cause mental issues like anxiety it can also result in a higher rate of mortality. This is why it is very important to address the things causing the inflammation.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29853783

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5949165/

The saddest part of it all is the medical community is still struggling on how to identify sepsis. What I am finding is allopathic medicine is usually decades behind the science. For example all research concerning Lyme disease decades ago was proven to have been falsified. There is newer real research on Lyme disease and it’s treatment but allopathic medicine is still relying on the falsified studies from decades ago in their decision making on patients care in tick born illness.
