Benefits of nucleotides.

Written by Lee Stevenson, sorry I am not the best editor.

This is not medical advice I am writing this for educational purposes . If you are ill you should seek the aid of a qualified and experienced naturopath.

Types of nucleotides and their beneifts. Just a note. Nucleotides require nitric oxide to form. Many are produced in the body but can be acquired through food.

Adenosine- It is used by the body to produce ATP. Adenosine improves sleep quality. It’s levels increase throughout the day. Exercise and doing mental puzzles or solving problems increases adenosine. It is produced through the bodies production and use of ATP. So increasing ATP will increase adenosine. Those who avoid solving problems or avoid certain types of stress instead of finding solution inhibit their production of adenosine. This can cause them to have low quality sleep.

Adenosine prevents excess blood clotting. It promotes the break down of glycogen to glucose which is the main source of energy for the brain. It increases fat burning and prevents fat retention which prevents obesity. It prevents diabetes and glucose intolerance. It improves muscle function, prevents muscle fatigue and increases muscle growth. Adenosine is one of the building blocks for DNA and RNA. Adenosine prevents heart arrhythmia, prevents cystic fibrosis, Promotes the growth of hair and increases hair thickness. It protects the body from the effects of low oxygen levels. Adenosine prevents sleep apnea, adenosine prevents hypertension by increasing nitric oxide. Adenosine reduces pain in the body. Adenosine counter acts the effects of oxidative stress. Adenosine improves the healing of tissues throughout the body. Adenosine protects the brain from the effects of age related diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. Adenosine prevents diabetes and glucose intolerance. Adenosine improves the health of the HPA. Adenosine can reverse the effects of aging. Adenosine increases VEGF which is low when someone has experienced trauma, stress, infection, sepsis or have CIRS. This would help to speed up their healing. Adenosine prevents the an over active immune response which would prevent autoimmunity. Excess adenosine can increase the risk of cancer and prolong sepsis. Adenosine is usually high in sepsis. This is from ATP production being inhibited which prevents the body from clearing adenosine. Those with high adenosine have difficulty waking in the morning and will feel tired throughout the day.

Symptoms of low adenosine are fatigue, muscle weakness and atrophy or muscle wasting, skin problems like rashes, inflamed skin or dry skin, depression, anemia, frequent infections, vertigo, allergies.

Inceasing ATP which provides energy for the cells increases adenosine. ATP should be increased in the morning. As ATP is used adenosine is produced. Things that increase ATP are CoQ10, L-carnitine, D-ribose, niacin, folate, P5P in moderation, over consumption of 100 mg can have the opposite effect. Omega 3 oils, copper is needed for adenosine production, SAMe increrases ATP, Increasing anandamide increases adenosine. Anandamide is one of the most potent endogenous cannabinloids it reduces pain and inflammation and give the euphoric feeling. It is increased by consuming Omega 3 oils, eating berries, apples, grapes, lettuce, peaches, cumcumbers, spinach, potatoes, and onions. Black truffles contain high levels of anandamide. DIM (diinolymehtane) found in cruciferous vegetables increases anandamide. Creatine can increase ATP levels. Cordycep mushrooms, panax gensing, also increases ATP levels.

Cytidine also known as citicoline. Citicoline protect the brain from the negative effects of glutamine and improve function of the NMDA receptor which would help with autism. Citicoline has been shown to reduce withdrawal from addictive drugs. Citicoline improves urinary function and health. Citicoline prevents depression and anxiety. It prevents viral infection and E coli infection. It has been shown to help prevent glaucoma and improve overall eye health. It improves brain function by increasing the repair and growth of cells in the brains and nerves. It is a potent anti-inflammatory. It improves mood by increasing acetycholine and dopamine which gives a person more motivation, and a more positive outlook. Citicoline improves muscle strength and endurance. Citicoline improves blood circulation. Citicoline improves memory. Citicoline helps prevent leaky gut and a leaky blood brain barrier. Citicoline prevents excess lipid peroxidation.

Citicoline is found in organ meats, eggs, fish, beans, cauliflower and broccoli. If taken in supplement form no more then 600mg should be taken.

Uridine- supports the production of dopamine, serotonin and norepinephrine which would improve mood and prevent inflammation. It works synergistically with Omega 3 oils and choline so it would be more beneficial if taken with those nutrients. Urindine increases ATP levels which prevents fatigue. Uridine improves exercise endurance. It improves brain function even under low oxygen levels. It prevents the negative effects of toxins such as mercury on the brain. It enhances brain function. It improves mitochondrial function and improves energy production by the mitochondria. It has been shown to prevent depression and bipolarism. Uridine improves sleep quality. It increases neuroplasticity which improves the brains ability to learn and adapt. It increases alertness and mental focus. Promotes the repair and growth of neurons. Reduces symptoms of cystic fibrosis. Helps restore the production of tears in those who have dry eyes. It helps to improve the heart rhythm by increasing ATP. It improves liver health and promotes the regeneration of the liver. Reduces pain and inflammation. It improves the tolerance to milk and milk products.

There are severe side effects so it is best acquired from food. High levels of uridine can cause scarring on the heart and increase the risk for cancer. It can cause insulin resistance. 1 to 2 grams a day is what was used in studies but most claim 500 to 1000 mg is the safest amounts if taken in supplement form.

Food sources of uridine are brewers yeast, nutritional yeast, mushrooms, oats, broccoli, organ meats, fish, beer, goats milk, sugar cane extract, and tomatoes.

Guanosine (guanylic acid) – It is needed for the production of healthy RNA and DNA. It prevents infection by RNA viruses. It prevent uncoupling of OXPHOS. OXPHOS is needed for mitochondrial production of ATP so it would improve mitochondrial ATP production. It improves the function of the citric acid cycle needed to produce energy for the body. It prevents obesity, diabetes and glucose intolerance. It prevents the exitotoxic effects of glutamate in the brain. It increases adenosine which improves sleep quality. It has anticonvulsant effects. It improves the health of the hippocampus so would improve HPA function. Guanosine decreases oxidative stress and inflammation. It has been shown to reduce brain inflammation. It reduces ammonia in the body. It dramatically reduces the symptoms of sepsis. It reduces pain in the body. Guanosine prevents depression and anxiety. It helps to reduce symptoms of schizophrenia. Guaonosine protects the brain from the negative effects of low glucose and low oxygen levels. Guanosine increases expression of APOE which would improve fat soluble vitamin levels, improve fat and cholesterol levels in the body. This also would help to prevent Alzheimer’s. It increases Heme-oxigenase which would reduce oxidative stress and improve mitochondria function. It upregulates klotho which reverses aging and heals the liver and kidney. It reduce uric acid levels in the body which would help with gout. It prevents muscle weakness, and fatigue and increases muscle growth. Guanosine reduces the risk of cancer. It improves mitochondrial fusion which improves mitochondria health and DNA health. Guanosine inhibits PDE5 which can increase arousal in men and women. There is not much information on increasing quanosine except that nitric oxide dramatically increases gaunosine. Low guanidine levels causes cardiovascular disease, and obesity. Guanosine prevents intestinal inflammation. PDE5 inhibitors increases guanosine. Artichoke, horny goat weed, cinnamon, panax gensing, coleus (forskolin), mega tribulis extract, ferula hemonis, and Epimedium brevicornum inhibits PDE5 . Excess guanosine can cause the body to become too acidic. Also high levels of guanosine can cause food allergies. So this one would be best if a person works on balancing guanosine. Consuming fish, mushrooms, foods that contain umami increases guanosine. Tomato increases guanosine. Fish and eating brewers yeast or food grade yeast increases guanosine. Inosine increases guanosine.

Inosine (inosinic acid) – those with gout should not use inosine. It increases uric acid levels. This would increase the risk of kidney stones and make gout worse. Uric acid is a potent antioxidant but high levels can decrease nitric oxide levels. So if your uric acid levels are high or nitric oxide levels are low I would not increase inosine. That being said, inosine reduces oxidative stress which improves athletic performance by improving blood flow, preserving ATP and preventing high lactic acid levels in muscle. It improves the healing and growth of nerves so improves brain health. It has been found to help with Parkinson’s disease. It reduces the symptoms of amylotropic lateral sclerosis and multiple sclerosis. It prevents high glutamate levels in the brain which would prevent anxiety and autism. Inosine protects the brain from the effects of toxins. Inosine helps to prevent fatigue. Inosine has been shown to help prevent type 1 and type 2 diabetes by improving the health of pancreatic B-cells. Inosine improves overall eye health. It is produced by the body and it increases adenosine. It can also be acquired through eating brewers yeast, and organ meats. If taken in supplements not more then 500 to 2000 mg should be taken.

Those who got the Covid vaccines should be tested for Sepsis and CIRS.

Written by Lee Stevenson. Sorry I am not the best editor.

When I talk to those who got the covid vaccine many of them show signs of Sepsis, post sepsis and CIRS. Because of that I would like to see these test performed on those who have gotten the vaccine because I believe all of them are suffering from severe immune system damage and damage to the body.

Testing for sepsis

a person would need a Complete blood cell count to measure leukocyte levels. Lactic acid levels should be measured, C-reactive protein levels should be measured, Prothrombine time should be measured because excess blood clotting occurs in sepsis. Partial thromboplastin time, platelet count should also be measured.

Test for various endotoxins.

Procalcitonin should be tested, when high it indicates an undetected bacteria infection.

Urin should be analysed.

Low grade inflammatory cytokines should be tested for such as Il-6, IL-8, Il-10, MCP-1, IL-3 , TNF-a, Proadrenomedullin should be checked. This also can indicate if a person has CIRS.

Myocardia biomarkers such as troponin, natriuretic petides and myoglobin to check cardiac function.

Arterial blood gases should be measure to test pulmonary function.

Bilbirubin should be tested to test hepatic function.

Creatine should be tested to test renal function.

Soluble urokinase plasminogen activator receptor is upregulated in sepsis so should be measured. High levels indicates bacteria infection and systemic inflammation. It increases mortality.

Presepsin levels are high during sepsis and severe infection.

Nuclear encoded transcription factor A (TFAM) support mitochondrial biogenesis. It’s expression is increased during beginning stages of sepsis but becomes very low during long term sepsis. TFAM is needed for ATP production so a person will have inhibited mitochondrial production of ATP.

Liposlysis is increased at the beginning of sepsis which is caused by the high acetylcholine, cortisol, catecholamine glucagon growth hormone and decreased insulin levels. Gluconeogenesis becomes inhibited and glycolysis is upregulated. This can cause weight gain and fatty liver disease if not corrected. This can cause low glucagon levels resulting in severe fatigue.

Cortisol is high in the beginning of sepsis but when the adrenals get exhausted cortisol levels will become low which you would find in post sepsis.

Post sepsis after a person has had sepsis for a while.

IL-10 levels become low. This ihibits the immune response.

CD4+ and CD8+ cells become low

MDSCS (myeloid derived suppressor cells, neutrophils), granulocytes which suppress T cell capabilities causes T cell to not mature which makes them lose their function.

Mitochondrial ATP production in low in post sepsis.

IL-6, TNF-a and IL-1B levels remain high in post sepsis.

Oxidative stress is increased from the inhibition of ATP production which causes ischemia throughout the body, inflammation and inhibits the cells ability to take up glucose. So glucose levels will be high in the blood, insulin resistance is common in post sepsis.

Calcium levels can be high in the blood because the cells ability to uptake calcium becomes inhibited.

Muscle loss is common because the body starts breaking down protein (muscle) to survive.

Nitric oxide levels should be measured . Levels become low during sepsis and post sepsis. This is causes by the break down of muscle for energy to compensate for the low ATP production. . Increasing protein intake can help to prevent the loss of nitric oxide. Hydrolysed whey protein usually works very well for preventing this.

Testing for CIRS

This is systemic low grade inflammation which causes chronic illness. It is referred to as SIRS by the government.

A visual contrast test helps to diagnose if a person has CIRS.

A person should be tested for mycotoxins to check if they have been exposed to mold.

They should be tested for tick born illness.

Microbe set enrichment anyalysis (MESA) measures microbiome interaction with the body.

Vasoactive intestinal peptide. Excercise and fasting can increase levels. Low levels can indicate CIRS. It is increased by glycine, limonene, leptin, creatine by increasing ATP. High substance P levels decreases VIP.

Low grade inflammatory cytokines should be tested for such as Il-6, IL-8, Il-10, MCP-1, IL-3 , TNF-a, Proadrenomedullin should be checked. This also can indicate if a person has CIRS. C4a levels are high when a person has CIRS.

Cortisol is usually low when a person has CIRS.

Vassoactive intestinal peptide levels are usually low in CIRS.

TGF-B1 (tranforming growth factor-B1)levels are usually high in CIRS.

MSH (melanocyte stimulating hormone) is usually low in CIRS and it prevents the body from being able to shut down inflammatory cytokines.

Anti-gliaden antibody (AGA) levels are usually high in CIRS. This causes high IgE levels when a person consumes gliaden.

VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) is usually low during CIRS.

Leptin levels are usually high from the increased systemic inflammation causing leptin resistance.

Anti-cardiolipin antibodies are high in autoimmune diseases such as CIRS. It indicates the body is attacking itself.

MMP9 is increased during CIRS and indicates there is systemic inflammation.

Benefits of threonine.

Benefits of rhubarb root.

Written by Lee Stevenson, sorry I am a lousy editor.

This is not medical advice I am writing this for educational purposes. If you are ill please seek the aid of a qualified and experienced medical practitioner.

Rhubarb root. (rheum Spp)

There are many varieties of rhubarb. The root is the part I will be focusing on because it contains emodin which is one of the few substances that will help with interstitial cystitis and Crohn’s disease. Rhubarb root also prevents herpes viruses from hijacking the mitochondria. It has very potent anti-inflammatory properties. It prevent fibrosis in the liver and lungs. Rhubarb root reduces inflammation in the gut. Rhubarb root has been found to balance the immune system. It helps normalize the gut microbial balance. It increases IgA which is low in interstitial cystitis and Crohn’s disease and many autoimmune disease. It helps restore proper T regulatory cell function. It has been shown to improve pancreatic function and health . Rhubarb root dramatically reduces the symptoms of sepsis. It should be pulsed because over use can increase risk of certain types of cancer and can be hepatoxic. This can occur with many nutrients so do not use in super high doses or excessively. I have seen people prescribed 50,000 IU of vitamin D. This causes kidneys stones and causes the vitamin D receptor to become inhibited which causes many health issues. Balance is the key to healing. More does not mean better. Rhubarb extract prevents osteoporosis. Rhubarb root improves kidney function. Rhubarb extract inhibits just about all the inflammatory cytokines found in sepsis , Sars-Covid infection and herpes infections. Rhubarb root improves kidney and liver function. Rhubarb root when used in moderation is safe to use long term. It has been shown to reduce the symptoms of menopause. Over all it looks like rhubarb root would be great at helping with and preventing autoimmunity.

Rhubbarb root (Rheum spp)

Rhubarb root has a broad rang of antibacterial properties.

I low doses it improves kidney function but in very high doses it can damage the kidneys. It has been shown to protect the body from many toxins. It reduces free radicals in the body which improves DNA function and prevents DNA damage.

Rhumbarb root improves glycolysis which would prevent accumulation of fat in the liver and would prevent obesity. It also improves liver function. When used in moderation it helps to prevent liver fibrosis.

It does stimulate the immune system so those whose immune system is already over active may want to be careful using rhubbarb root. It is unlikely it would cause a problem though because it does inhibit many receptors that are over-expressed in autoimmunity. It does increase TH2 expression so those who are TH2 dominant may want to use caution in using Rhubarb root.

It contains emodin which inhibits NLRP3. NLRP3 is over activated in interstitial cystitis and Crohn’s disease so it may help with those illnesses. Emodin also inhibits MAO B, this would help with Parkinson’s because it would prevent the body from breaking down dopamine. Inhibition of NLRP3 also prevents lung inflammation. Aloe vera also contains emodin.

Emodin in rhubarb root inhibits the Sars-Covid virus and also inhibits it’s ability to interact with the ACE2 receptor so may prevent Covid infection. Emodin has been found to be effective against many other types of viruses. Rhubarb root has also been found to inhibit many herpes viruses.

Emodin is also cardioprotective because it increases nitric oxide levels.

Rhubbarb root inhibits MCF-7 which can help with certain types of breast cancer.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7601677/
Emodin found in rhubarb root has been found to decrease the inflammatory cytokines found in sepsis , inflammatory disease and autoimmune disease.

Emodin in rhubarb root inhibits intracellular influx of Calcium which prevents mast cell degranulation which would prevent high histamine levels. This can help with autoimmune diseases like asthma, lupus, psoriasis and many others. Also excess calcium in the cells can inhibit beta oxidation which can cause diabetes and obesity. Beta oxidation is how the body burns fat to create energy for the body. Emodin also increase browning of fat cells which prevents insulin resistance and obesity. Rhubarb root also increase the butyrate producing bacteria which helps to prevent obesity.

Emodin prevents the over activation of the NMDA receptor and other receptors in the brain. It is neuroprotective so can reduce the occurrence of seizures. It improves the function of the adrenals and many other areas of the brain. It prevents damage in the brain from excess glutamate. It also decreases the perception of pain so it would reduce pain in the body.

As stated earlier taking high doses of rhubarb root can have the opposite effects and actually damage the liver. It can also cause diarrhea, stomach cramping, It can also make the urine darker colored and even brown color.

When chronically ill the medicine you choose could mean life or death.

Written by Lee Stevenson. Sorry I am a lousy editor.

This is not medical advice I have written the for educational purposes.

At the end of this I am going to briefly explain how someone can heal and how a person’s friends and family can help with the healing of the individual. Keep in mind if you are getting allopathic treatment then this article will be bleak for you because those getting allopathic treatment the outcome usually is not good. Those who seek the treatment of a functional medicine practitioner the outlook is much much better. Allopathic medicine is limited in the testing they do because they only know how to look at the symptoms and not the cause of illness. Functional medicine looks at the cause of illness so many of the test I mention in this article most will have never heard of them. If your medical practitioner does not know what these test are or what labs they can order them from then I would seek someone else it means they do not know enough to help you heal. It is becoming clearer and clearer most of the time if you chose allopathic you chose death and if you chose functional medicine you choose life.

You can heal from this. The keys are getting inflammation down, reducing oxidative stress and addressing whatever caused the illness and correcting any health issues caused. I have written this to help clarify why certain things happen and at the end I explain that there is a way out and you can heal. Something I do not mention is mold it can cause illness if a person is subjected to high levels and they have other health issues. It can lead to them developing sepsis, post sepsis or CIRS.

I am going to try and make the distinction between sepsis and post sepsis and explain how they contribute to long term illness and even mortality. The harm caused to the body from sepsis can take years to heal if the person who is ill does not have the proper guidance and treatment. Allopathic medicine only treats the symptoms they do not treat the cause so can only throw medications at the condition which eventually causes a person to become sicker while they feel better at first. Functional medicine addresses the causes of the illness. I am also going to discuss the causes of sepsis which there are many and infection is not the only cause. Something to take note of infants are being born with sepsis. If they parent has experienced vaccine injury , come in contact with toxins especially glyphosate, used antibiotics, medication, excess stress it can induce sepsis in the infant and they can be born with sepsis even vaginal dysbiosis can cause an infant to be born with sepsis so many who are now adults have some how managed to survive post sepsis and have dealt with it most of their lives. These ones can heal but it takes much more time and patience. For example glyphosate has been found to be very high in many infants and it has been found to be very harmful especially to a developing child. Functional medical practitioners are aware of sepsis and know how to deal with and prevent it to reduce the harm and speed up recovery.

Sepsis is one of the leading causes of death in the world. Post sepis is what occurs when a person survives sepsis. In sepsis the body is fighting to stay alive. It can result from infection, emotional trauma, depression, physical trauma, drug injury, vaccine injury, eating foods high in toxins such as GMOs, farm chemicals found in most foods and toxins added to foods. Sepsis usually occurs from more then one of those thing occurring . Many infants are in a state of post sepsis from parents who have been vaccine injured or from being vaccine injured as infants. In sepsis the body is fighting to stay alive so it shuts many things down and upregulates many other things. This is keeping the person alive but causes a lot of damage in the body and causes thrombosis which causes excess blood clotting and damage to blood vessels. The mortality rate for Sepsis is very high. In sepsis the adrenals get upregulated , the body starts causing the blood to clot, systemic inflammation and excess oxidative stress occurs. If the sepsis and cause of sepsis is not addressed the person has very little chance of surviving. Sepsis causes a hormone imbalance that is unique from post sepsis. In sepsis the adrenal hormones are very high in post sepsis the adrenals have become worn out and no longer function properly. It takes a very strict protocol to help recover from sepsis and post sepsis. If a person does not address what has caused their sepsis while they are in post sepsis they can slip back onto sepsis only this time it is much more dangerous because of the organ damage and tissue damage that has already occurred throughout the body. Infants born by C-section have a dramatic increased risk of acquiring sepsis because they do not receive the microbes that protect them from the mothers vaginal fluids. Infants who are breast fed have a dramatic decreased risk of sepsis. Studies have shown the sooner a mother starts breast feeding the less the risk is of the infant getting sepsis. The microbes that protect the child can be found if a person know where to look and has an experienced functional medicine practitioner.

Sadly when a child experiences sepsis from a vaccine the medical professionals lie and instead of reporting the adverse reaction to the vaccine they brush the parents concerns off or they will lie and tell them it is proof the vaccine is working. We also cannot rule out other causes of neonatal sepsis though. These are some of the symptoms of neonatal sepsis. These are the main symptoms but not all symptoms. If a child develops sepsis from vaccine injury it is up to the parent to report it. Mot medical professional do not know how to identify vaccine injury and the ones who do will not report it.

Not feeding will or frequent vomiting.

Fever or inability to properly regulate body temperature.

Rapid breathing or long pauses in breathing.

Pale appearance or a whole body rash.

Something else that occurs, sepsis can cause gut dysbiosis and gut dysbiosis can cause sepsis. The systemic inflammation cause our gut microbial makeup to change to an inflammatory one. This leaves things that normally would not enter the body enter the body such as endotoxins, heavy metals and environmental toxins and even food particles. This is why those with sepsis and post sepsis develop, high heavy metal levels and will have oxalate issues, food intolerance and food allergies. This is a cycle that becomes difficult to break because this also contribute to the systemic inflammation, immune dysfunction, and oxidative stress. This is why it is very very important to heal the gut when dealing with sepsis and post sepsis. Gut dysbiosis on it’s own can cause organ damage and failure and has been linked to diabetes, mental disorders and heart disease. When a person develops sepsis they also become more prone to infection increasing their risk of dying from sepsis or post sepsis. It is very important to replace the microbes lost, reduce inflammation and balance the immune system.

You can survive sepsis and post sepsis. It takes someone very knowledgeable in functional medicine. It takes very specific supplements and nutrients unique to each person. There is no one size fits all. If a person has post sepsis and has not addressed what caused their sepsis they could develop sepsis again and each time their risk of mortality increases because many organs are already damaged and struggling to function. When a person has post sepsis things such as the adrenal and many other hormones are low. I will not get into detail because it can get very complex.

When a person experiences Sepsis DAMPs, MAMPs, and PAMPs are released. These are danger signals that stimulate the immune system, systemic inflammation, and oxidative stress all these things contribute to damage in the body but also contribute to keeping a person alive by preventing the toxins, depression, infection or any other causative agents from killing the person. It is the bodies last ditch effort to survive. So to survive sepsis you need to address the causes. Also to try and prevent post sepsis the inflammation, oxidative stress, organ damage, metabolic and gene issues caused need addressed. A person who has survived go into a state of post sepsis. Usually the oxidative stress and systemic inflammation is still there but they have metabolic issues, organ issues, endocrine issues, and immune dis-regulation have to be addressed. If these things are not addressed chronic illness will start to occur and they will develop autoimmune diseases, digestive issues. Brain swelling occurs and needs addressed. The organ damage needs addressed. If the post sepsis is not corrected organ failure will occur and a person will start to develop things such as liver disease and kidney disease, interstitial cystitis and many many more illnesses. When it has reached the stage of causing organ damage it takes much much longer to correct. Notice inflammation is one of the key factors in causing the chronic illness. Reducing inflammation is key to healing.

Most allopathic medical professionals do not know how to identify or deal with sepsis but functional medicine practitioners have been trained to identify and address it. It is very important to distinguish between sepsis and post sepsis. What is good for treating sepsis may home someone with post sepsis. There are those who still have the issues that caused their sepsis so they will alternate between bouts of sepsis and bouts of post sepsis. Those are the most difficult to heal because with those one the little things are very very important. Ones who can still have a tendency to experience sepsis get set back very very easily. Things that would normally be beneficial like social interaction can really take it’s tolls on those who are still going back and forth between experiencing sepsis and post sepsis. When I was very ill it was surprised how even positive social interaction would set me back for days. The brain is so focused on healing the body and dealing with the pain and keeping track of healing and what needs to be done to heal that anything that takes more thought can set us back. I remember if I interacted on Facebook too much when I was very very ill it would really set me back and often times it was positive interactions, my Facebook friends would be encouraging me and teaching me. But combine the chronic illness , with the normal stresses of daily life and it gets overwhelming. This can increase the blood clotting and tax the adrenals which dramatically sets our health back. It also increases brain inflammation. So when in a state of sepsis or post sepsis we have to learn to listen to our bodies and our minds. It can be difficult because sometimes it is necessary to isolate ones self to let their brain and body recover. Little things are very very important like maintaining glucose and insulin levels, making sure we support our adrenals. Even though we may want to be sociable if our minds or our body is telling us not to do it then we need to find a way to listen to our bodies within reason. We do have certain family responsibilities but We also need to try our best to get our family to understand the harm of social interactions and others things may be causing us. These things are usually healing to the body when we are well but when in a state of sepsis or post sepsis the body is in survival mode so nothing is as it should be. Those experiencing sepsis or post sepsis often times look healthy, and will pretend to be healthy which I did often so they are responsible for some of the lack of understanding people have towards those who are chronically ill. These can be prevented and corrected with the correct guidance from someone knowledgeable in how to deal with these things.

Now I will cover the many ways that sepsis and post sepsis kills. They kill by causing damage to the organs, this is why those with sepsis and post sepsis die from organ failure, brain damage, but the most common cause of death during sepsis and post sepsis is heart failure. The inflammation and oxidative stress damages the organs including the heart and brain. It also causes excess blood clotting and excess blood vessel damage which often times leads to heart failure. Another way that sepsis and post sepsis causes heart failure is through the adrenal dysfunction. The limbic system regulates our blood pressure and heart rate. A healthy adrenal system is required for this. This is where the real harm comes in because adrenal dysfunction also causes excess blood clotting and blood vessels can constrict, now add to the fact the inflammation and oxidative stress is interfering with the limbic system and adrenals to interact with each other to properly regulate the cardiovascular system and a person because prone to heart failure or stroke. There are many other ways that sepsis and post sepsis can cause heart failure to numerous to continue but these are the most common causes. I am stating this to let people know the importance of not ignoring these things. They need addressed and corrected.

Because the body experiences oxygen deprivation from the restricted blood flow throughout body causes organ damage, damage to the brain and neurological damage. The neurological damage in itself can cause death. Now ad to the fact that pain has been shown to cause things to occur in the body that can result in death. Mitochondrial function get upregulated during sepsis and down regulated and even inhibited during post sepsis. So if we do things that would increase certain mitochondrial processes during sepsis it could increase the persons mortality. For example when a person is in a state of sepsis increasing ATP levels increases mortality but when in a state of post sepsis increasing ATP can speed up healing. In post sepsis usually mitochondria function is inhibited so increasing it can speed up recovery but in full on sepsis increasing certain mitochondrial function can increase mortality. I will try to cover the best I can how to distinguish between the two though some things do overlap in sepsis and post sepsis for example often times oxidative stress and systemic inflammation levels are still high in both.

Now I will try my best to describe the symptoms of sepsis and test that can be used to detect when someone has sepsis.

Fast heart rate or an irregular heart beat

Temperature dis-regulation some may have a fever some may be hypothermic.

Warm or clammy skin or excessive sweating.

Mental confusion , feeling disoriented, or disassociation

Dizziness

Rapid breathing or shortness of breath and at times it may be difficult to take a breath.

Muscle weakness.

Difficulty waking up.

Skin rash, skin burning or severe itching.

If severe enough seizures.

Some test that can be used to detect if a person has sepsis.

Excessively high or low glucose or insulin levels.

Difficulty urinating.

Back pain which is caused by a variety of issues.

Irregular heart beat which can cause dizziness when walking or standing.

Sudden sharp or burning pain in the chest.

Difficulty breathing especially when lying down.

Anciety, fear, flash backs, even paranoia from the increased brain inflammation. This can also cause depression and suicidal thoughts.

Ok test that can be used to determine if someone has sepsis . Now some of these test also overlap with post sepsis.

Vassopressin levels it becomes impaired during sepsis.

Glucose and insulin levels

A complete thyroid test even testing for reverse T3. Usually reverse T3 is low and T4 levels are high. Thyroid hormone levels usually become decreased.

Testing cortisol levels . Cortisol is usually high.

During sepsis Growth hormone levels are usually high.

Often times white blood cell count is high in sepsis.

Low red blood cell count or high red blood cell count which often times gets mistaken for leukemia.

Liver function should be tested because it becomes impaired during sepsis. Bilirubin and creatine should be tested.

Lactic acid levels usually become high during sepsis.

Inflammatory cytokines such as C-reactive, IL-3, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, MCP-1, MMP-9, IL-13 and TNF-a.

Troponin, natriutetic peptides and myoglobin to check for myocardial dysfunction.

Arterial blood gases to test pulmonary function.

Prothrombin time and partial thromboplastin time, platelet count when low it indicates excess blood clotting. D-dimer can also indicate if blood is clotting excessively.

The type of sepsis is important to determine it is from infection or to rule out infection a test for endotoxins can be done. It is non specific but it will indicate if an infection is present.

If procalcitonin is high it can indicate there is a bacteria infection present.

IGF-1 is low during sepsis.

Catecholamine levels become high during sepsis. (dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine)

Glutamine levels become low but increase in the brain because it’s uptake into the cells becomes inhibited. This can cause glutamate toxicity in the brain. Increasing glutamate levels during sepsis increases risk of mortality.

Copeptin is usually high in sepsis which makes it difficult to urinate.

Leptin levels are usually high during sepsis.

Luteinizing hormone releasing hormone is usually high during sepsis which increases B-endorphin and GABA.

Ok now lets cover Post Sepsis . Many of the symptoms of sepsis and post sepsis overlap for example usually the systemic inflammation and oxidative stress levels remain high. So the organ damage, brain inflammation and immune dysfunction remain but the symptoms will change because often times the organ damage causes hormone changes that are different in sepsis. For example the adrenals, liver and kidney function has because lower so those hormones and enzymes will be different then that found in sepsis. Mitochondrial respiration and other mitochondrial functions have become inhibited in post sepsis. In sepsis it usually becomes upregulated so the causes of oxidative stress between sepsis and post sepsis are different.

Some symptoms that may be found in post sepsis.

Difficulty sleeping or difficulty staying asleep.

Fatigue, lethargy.

Sever muscle and joint pain. Poor muscle function, muscles will be tight and difficult to move.

Swelling in limbs

Susceptibility to repeat infections.

Hair loss

skin rashes or burning skin

many of the psychological symptoms carry over to post sepsis such as anxiety attack, memory flash backs, nightmares or strange dreams that make no sense, difficulty concentrating, memory loss

Most medical professionals do not even acknowledge sepsis. They send patients home and either they are not concerned or lack the knowledge to be able to identify when they have caused sepsis or they are trying to hide their error. Studies have shown that most who have had sepsis get sent home and have no farther support or resources which increases their mortality. Now add to this , the fact that those with sepsis appear to be healthy so they get ostracized and criticized by family. They do not get the support they need and often time family adds burdens to them that not only hinder their healing but because of the stress, depression and physical demands it can send them back into sepsis this is why those who have survived sepsis have a 40% mortality rate. They lack the support and resources needed for them to heal. When a person is suffering from sepsis any emotion even positive can put a physical demand on the body because their body and brain are in survival mode. Yet they say that those who have post sepsis have lost their minds and are isolating themselves, or they are neglecting family when they are actually trying to survive. Those with post sepsis are on a teeter totter. They can quickly develop sepsis again and each time it takes longer to recover. Little things add up and can help a person to get over the hill and start to recover but very few have the support they need to focus on those little things. I cannot get into details when I say little things because the list is long but one of them is when a person is showing memory loss or being irritable they are struggling and need help with some of the normal everyday burdens that are usually easy for others to do. They become mountains for someone suffering from post sepsis syndrome.

It would take me a very long time to show what happens and why with post sepsis. The mitochondria is the little factories of the body which are involved in almost everything in the body. In post sepsis the mitochondria shrinks and molecules can not longer be transferred into and out of the mitochondria. It slows the bodies processes down. In order to get the mitochondria functioning again. The inflammation, oxidative stress, metabolic issues and many other things have to be corrected. It takes very specific nutrients for the person and a lot of self discipline. A person can recover from post sepsis but it takes time persistence and a lot of learning. There are many things that occur in sepsis and it takes very specific nutrients to get things functioning correctly again. For example often times the pituitary, adrenals, thyroids and hypothalamus become damaged. It takes time and very specific nutrients and protocols to promote their healing. This causes many hormones to get out of balance like estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, adrenal hormones, many hormones needed for proper brain function. The gut becomes damage and the microbes in the gut become out of balance and need corrected.

If these things are not corrected a person will develop cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, autoimmunity and many other chronic illnesses. There are not test for post sespsis but test for things such as CIRS also known as SIRS can help to determine what needs addressed.

Hormone test, complete thyroid test and adrenal hormone test along with testing for CIRS can help to determine if a person has post sepsis. It can persist for years especially if the health problems that contributed to it are not addressed. A person can recover if they are diligent.

These are test for CIRS

Vassoactive intestinal peptide – this is usually low in post sepsis.

Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1 (TGF-b1) usually increased in post sepsis and CIRS. It is involved in cell division and cell death.

Melanocyte stimulating hormone (MSH) controls the pigment of the skin, regulates how much cytokines can be produced. Usually low in post sepsis and CIRS. If it is low the production of inflammatory cytokines cannot be shut down.

C4a – when levels are high it indicates systemic inflammation.

Adrenocoricotropic hormone (ACTG) regulates cortisol levels. It is usually low in post sepsis and CIRS.

Anti-gliaden antibodies (AGH, IgE, IgA) – triggered in response to mold toxins, inflammation and gluten sensitivity. It can also indicate gut inflammation.

Cortisol usually low in post sepsis and CIRS.

Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) – Stimulates blood vessel formation. Is usually low in post sepsis and CIRS.

Leptin – helps regulate fat storage in the body. Excess inflammation causes leptin resistance which can increase levels of leptin. This can cause excess weight gain and diabetes.

Anti-cardiolipin antibodies (ACLA) , IgA, IgG, IgM – high in autoimmune disease. Indicates high levels of inflammation. If these are high it indicates the body is attacking healthy tissue.

Antidiuretic hormone – it is responsible for regulation of the balance of water in your body, blood pressure, and concentration of urine being produced in the kidney. Reduced levels of ADH couldn indicate dehydration or excess urinating.

Little things really mean a lot when it comes to healing. Reducing stress, or try to deal with stress in a less negative way. Family and friends can help by reducing stress as much as possible. When someone has CIRS or post sepsis it is like being on a teeter totter. It does not take much to set their health back for weeks. What little progress they have made can easily be set back and they have to start climbing the figurative ladder over again.

There are things that can indicate someone with CIRS or post sepsis is starting to back slide with their health or need to take a rest. If they start getting irritable or absent minded, confused or disoriented it means they need to rest. The adrenals and other organs in the body have become damaged and take a very long time to heal. Even positive social interactions take a lot when it comes to adrenals and physical energy. When someone who is interacting socially either in life or online and you see those things start to occur it means they need some alone time and need time to let their adrenals and energy levels recover. If they keep pushing through it they will get set back and be in a very bad way for a while. Much of the progress they made will be lost.

It is very important to reduce inflammation and oxidative stress. The body requires higher amounts of certain nutrients so it is very important to get the proper nutrients the body needs. There are very specific supplements that can help the body to heal. Not all functional medicine practitioners are the same. So find one who has a proven track record of success. Do not skip meals. Fasting can be injuries when a person is dealing with CIRS or post sespsis and it can set the persons health back. Taking the wrong supplements can cause harm also so they need to be will researched and make certain they would be what is best. If in doubt don’t.

A person may recover enough to function but if the health issues are not addressed they will be prone to many types of illnesses, from allergies, food intolerance, interstitial cystitis, inflammatory bowel disease, diabetes, autoimmunity and even cancer. Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in those with post sepsis and CIRS. It is very important to get the hormone levels straightened out, reduce the excess blood clotting, reduce the inflammation and oxidative stress. All these alone contribute to hear damage, strokes , neurological damage that can cause the heart to fail, imbalances in the minerals in the body which can cause the heart to beat irregular. Stress, to much emotional interactions, over doing it physically, and many other things can increase the risk of those things occurring. When you are healing it is very important to realize you have limits even on days you feel good and set those limit and do not pass them even if you feel well. They add up and will catch up with you and can set you back.

It is good to do things like listen to music, color in coloring books, do puzzles, do word games, read some jokes laughing is very healing. Going in nature has been found to promote healing. There are many things a person and their family can do that can promote healing. Little things mean a lot. They add up and can help someone get over the hill so they can fully recover.

Often times because those with CIRS and post sepsis do not look ill and we can put on a good front in pretending we are well they will not realize how ill the person really is. That is why if you see the person tripping a lot, getting disoriented, absent minded or irritable. They may start sitting down a lot . Their breathing may speed up. It means they need rest and most likely need to be alone for a while so their adrenal hormones can also recover. Sometimes those who are chronically ill just want to be normal again. I did it to myself often but I was fortunate and had two friends that were aware of what I was doing to myself and would make me slow down and rest and take time to myself to recover. So the person who is ill may need others to watch out for them. Those who are ill try so hard to be normal again or just to function that they will often times push themselves too much and end up setting themselves back so much it may take days or weeks to recover.

When a person has post sepsis or CIRS their immune system is barely functioning. When I was very ill people would come near me with colds or sore throats. I easily picked these infections up even when I kept my distance. This would set me back for weeks. Sometimes I would even end up bedridden for days. Even when a person who is ill has restored immune function the damage the infection causes to the persons body sets the back physically and makes them lose a lot of the work they have done to heal.

I personally struggled eating properly because most food especially GMOs are very damaging to the body. If I would eat them I would become very very ill and it would set me back. Most people do not understand this. I would have them go shopping and put very specific brands on the list but if they could not find those brands they would replace them with GMOs. I could not eat them. If I went shopping myself I would be too exhausted to cook so often times would not eat for a day which would set me back health wise. Eating three meals a day became a major struggle for me when I was ill. For some who experience type 1 diabetes type symptoms they may have to eat a bunch of small meal a day to keep their energy levels up so they do not back slide.

The main thing is working on getting the mitochondria repaired first. Then work on the immune system. If you repair the immune system before the mitochondria is functioning adequately it can make the person very ill. They need the mitochondria to be functioning to launch a proper immune response. One if the most important things about healing is addressing the excess blood clotting and neurological damage. These cause organ and brain damage that will continue until proper blood flow is restored and neurological function is corrected.

I did a blog post that explains you can heal and at the end of it , I explain how to find someone who can help you learn to heal. Allopathic medicine only treats the symptoms and if you compare the research from those treated with allopathic medicine the outcome is usually not good it usually end in death. If you look at the outcome from those who have been treated with functional medicine they have recovered and lived a productive life. Allopathic medicine only treats the symptoms, functional medicine treats the cause. I explain in much better detail in the article in this link. This link also show there are labs that will let your order test online. https://iamajuicer.wordpress.com/2021/05/28/how-to-get-off-the-medical-hamster-wheel/

Dealing With Endotoxemia or Sepsis.

This is not medical advice , I am posting this for educational and informational purposes.

Those getting sepsis and suffering from post sepsis from the Covid vaccines need to read my post on healing from those specifically because they do so much damage to the body and DNA that they have to be addressed in a different way.

These are my notes of things I researched to recover. I have much more to add to it but figured I would post what I have typed up so far. This is not in order and inflammation is very very important to address in order to be able to detox endotoxins.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/19UH1Jfe0qlPrKunC36yZVXZcuRLx_f8MslQdSXkV8pA/mobilebasic

This is not medical advice, I am putting this here for informational and educational purposes. My advice on reading this because it is very long is skip over things that do not seem to concern you and the issues you are dealing with. I had many health problems I had to deal with and these are my notes. It seems I had more then usual so my notes are extensive. From what I am learning most do not experience the number of health issues I had. I need to cover oxidative stress first because it is the main cause of the symptoms of sepsis.

Many take CoQ10 for their fatigue. I would say it is better to avoid but supporting NADPH might be a better option. I noticed I got worse when I took CoQ10 but Ubiquinol seemed to work fine for me.

Oxidative Stress

Oxidative Stress is caused by an imbalance in our antioxidant system. When there is an imbalance taking antioxidants will increase the damage in the body. We must address what is causing the imbalance before taking antioxidants. Taking antioxidants when there is an imbalance in the antioxidant system also makes us more prone to health issues especially cancer. An imbalance in or inhibited redox cycling and blocked Nrf2 pathways are the most common issues involving excess oxidative stress.

This results in the production of peroxides and free radicals. This damages components of the cells including lipids and DNA , they cause strand breaks in the DNA preventing it from repairing . This is why high LDL levels are a sign of oxidative stress. High cholesterol indicates an imbalance in the antioxidant system. This can be caused by toxins like heavy metals, the many farm chemicals found in our food, toxins in processed food, heavy metals, infections and the endotoxins from dying pathogens, many of the toxins in vaccinations can cause oxidative stress, and stay in the body a very long time, especially the aluminum in vaccinations. To restore balance we need to detox whatever is causing the imbalance, also address any metabolic issues causing the imbalance. The hydrogen peroxide produced from the reactive oxygen species can act as cellular messengers which cause a disruption in normal mechanism in cell signaling. This causes redox cycling to be inhibited and has been linked to many forms of chronic illness. Nrf2 regulates the antioxidant system and toxins, infection and bad diets can inhibit the Nrf2 pathways. Excess oxidative stress causes adenosine triphosphate (ATP) depletion. ATP is important in molecular cellular energy transfer. This causes apoptic cell death to be inhibited so the cell simply falls apart. When the cell is not removed by apoptosis it can cause a build up of cellular debris in the body which has many negative health effects. Inflammation can inhibit the bodies ability to remove toxins and waste which can contribute to oxidative stress. Over production of ROS can lead to stroke, hypertension, hardening of the arteries, heart attacks, and failure of organs. It can result in damage to the brain resulting in impaired thinking and even mental illness.

There are many sources of reactive oxygen species in the body. Xanthine Oxidase is an enzyme that generates reactive oxygens species it is found in the blood and lungs. It’s activity is increased during infection. Levels of xanthine oxidase are increased during liver damage. It has been found to be high in gout. Phytic acid inhibits xanthine oxidase. Remember homeostasis is the goal because the antioxidant system protects us we do not want to keep inhibiting it. Once we get inflammation down and the peroxide, and free radical levels down we want to maintain homeostasis.

Free radical from oxidative stress deplete cofactors involved in electronic transport, DNA repair. Damaged (Fe-S) clusters can cause iron overload. It also causes inhibition of lipoic acid synthase which is involved in amino acid metabolism and glycine degradation. When inhibited it results in encephalitis and lactic acidosis. This also causes a build up of hydroxyl radicals. NADPH oxidase is activated by infections and certain cytokines. Arachidonic acid (omega 6) also stimulates activity of NADPH oxidase Apocynin found in many plants inhibits NADPH oxidase. I do not know which plants but most research papers state apocynin found in many types of plants. Inhibition of NADPH can cause granulomas to form. This is the bodies way of blocking off something it cannot rid from the body. So do not over do it. Nitric Oxide also inhibits NADPH oxidase. Arginine and citrulline can help increase NO.

Superoxide Dismutase

Superoxide Dismutase comes in three forms in the body, SOD1 is located in the cytoplasma inside of cells, SOD2 located in the mitochondria, SOD3 is extracellular. SOD serves as a key antioxidant. Low SOD levels increases the risk of cancer. SOD has anti-inflammatory effects. SOD decreases ROS and oxidative ss, and interstitial cystitis. It also reduces inflammation in the urinary tract. SOD also prevents liver and kidney damage and protects us from radiation damage. The most bioavailable form of of SOD is found in the chaga mushroom but it is also found in phytoplankton, horseradish, and cantaloupe. If you have iron toxicity it will inhibit SOD. Lactoferrin helps restore the bad iron back to good and helps the body get rid of excess iron. Curcumine chelates iron but if taken to often or too much it can cause anemia. Infection can cause the body to store copper in our soft tissue to prevent pathogens from using iron. This also prevents the body from using iron, it kills the pathogen but inhibits SOD production. Natural sources of vitamin C will get the body to release the copper from the soft tissue. High doses of vitamin C can cause red blood cells to break down so don’t get carried away. Also man made vitamin C can cause oxalates. Manganese is needed for SOD production but should not be taken in high doses it can be toxic if we get too much in the body. Zinc is also needed for SOD production , honey is high in zinc.

Low SOD3 can cause acute respiratory distress syndrome which is when fluid leaks into the lungs. It has also been linked to COPD.

Glutathione and SOD are tightly linked so I will cover it next. Resveratrol also activates SOD it is found in grape seed extract.

We need to find balance because high levels of SOD has been show to make us susceptible to certain types of cancer. Homeostasis should be the goal then do things to maintain homeostasis.

Glutathione peroxidase

Glutathione peroxidase is a general name for a group of enzymes with peroxidase activity. Gps main biological role is to protect from damage from oxidative stress. GP reduces lipid hydroperoxides to their corresponding alcohols. Lipid hydroperoxides are caused from the oxidative degredation of fats. It mostly effects polyunsaturated fatty acids. There are several documented cases of anemia from GP deficiency, most likely if they measure the Fe3 iron it would be high. The iron in the plasma was probably in a form the body could not us.

This is a link to a more in depth article I did on Nitrosative Stress.

https://iamajuicer.wordpress.com/2018/07/11/nitrosative-stress/

If you have been reading the links in my post you know by now that lipopolysaccharides a component of endotoxins is responsible for the systematic inflammation that endotoxins cause. Lipopolysaccharides are a component of many pathogens.  It is very important to reduce the level of LPS in the body to reduce chances of sepsis which results in chronic illness. LPS can cause a bunch of issues that prevent us from detoxing which causes many other issues. In order to detox LPS we need to address those issues. I am going to place these links here so when you decide the approach you may want to take you can look at nutritional options that may help after you have read the article and get a better understanding of endotoxemia these can be used for a reference.

https://iamajuicer.wordpress.com/2018/06/23/supplement-and-nutrient-information-i-have-accumulated/

https://iamajuicer.wordpress.com/2018/06/26/supplement-and-nutrient-information-i-have-accumulated-part-2/

It is very important to reduce LPS because it has a dramatic effect on our brain. It can cause anxiety, dissociative behavior, emotional dysfunction. It also impairs memory. It can cause fatigue and even disrupt the reproductive cycle. High LPS levels have been linked to things such as diabetes, heart disease, mental illness, cancer, obesity, metabolic disorders, renal disorders, autism, hearing and eye health can be negative impacted. LPS also cause digestive disorders like SIBO, IBD, IBS and dysbiosis. LPS contributes to arthritis and increased allergies. LPS has even been linked to PCOS in women. LPS causes adrenal fatigue. It can cause many skin disorders like lupus or psoriasis. It can contribute to bone loss. It causes neurological damage throughout the body.

Endotoxins also cause hormone imbalances and thyroid problems.

There are gut bacteria that reduce LPS, Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus GG, Saccharramyces Boulardii Bacillus Infantis, B Longhum, Clostridium Butyricum, E Coli Nissle 1917, Lactobacillus Brevis, L Casei, and many others.

Fruit pectin reduces LPS. The pectin is the waxy substance found on the skins of many fruits. One of these articles mentions corn flakes. Corn is GMO and causes leaky gut which would make things worse. I do not recommend eating any GMOs they themselves can cause sepsis.

Resistant starch decreases LPS by increasing the good gut bacteria. This should be introduced slowly because when the good gut bacteria increase the bad die off which will cause bloating and herxing. I got very ill when I tried to eat resistant starch. I had to start with small amounts and slowly increase my intake.

LPS and Fats

Diets high in bad fats, like transfats and saturated fats increase the effects of LPS.

These sites suggest ways to reduce LPS. I do not agree with all their methods so always take things with a grain of salt and do your research. Many have metabolic issues that need addressed before taking some of the suggested things in these articles. For example those with high sulfite levels or CBS or BH4 issues would become ill from some of the things suggested because they are high in sulfur. Those with Pyrrole issues will become ill from any types of fats so Omega 3s will cause problems. So before you can even attempt to detox LPS you need to address any metabolic issues or you will be running on a hamster wheel of ill health getting no where because the things needed to heal will make you ill.

LPS Causes Leaky Gut

LPS causes leaky gut, leaky gut causes our bodies to absorb more LPS. Here is another area where the cycle must be broken. Just as with high oxalate levels it is difficult to heal the gut , high LPS levels make it difficult to heal the gut. I have posted articles that will help with information on healing the gut so I will not cover it in detail but if time permits I will post the links to the articles. Healing the gut is very important in order to break the cycle.

Polyunsaturated fats should be avoided. The body only needs a small amount of them. When the levels get to high in the body they negatively impact our health. These are found in things such as corn oil, canola oil, cotton seed oil, and soybeen oil. They also contain transfats which really need to be avoided. Fats from things like fresh cod liver oil which should be refrigerated. If it smells fishy then it has oxidized and has lost some of it’s benefits, other sources are coconut oil, beef tallow, lard and butter contain the fats that our bodies need. The tallow, lard and butter should be from grass feed beef. We need PUFAs in our diet but in the form of Omega 3s. We have to do our best to prevent the Omega 3s from oxidizing. The previously mentioned oils are high in Omega 6 , our Omega 3 levels should be higher then Omega 3s but processed food is high in Omega 6 and is why many have inflammatory diseases.

It is very important to protect the liver while detoxing endotoxins because it is hit pretty hard and can get damaged. Burdock root and sarsparilla root seemed to help me. Rooibos tea was another herb that really helped me, it is great for oxidative stress and inflammation. Sculletaria is another one that seemed to really help me. Bayberry has also been found to support the kidney and liver.

Oxidative Stress

Endotoxins cause oxidative stress which results in the oxidation of lipids. The can result in damage throughout the body and is why many have high oxLDL levels. High LDL is a symptom not a cause. It is very important to also address the oxidative stress caused by endotoxins. This includes restoring the balance of our gut bacteria which protects us from oxidative stress. If they are out of balance they can actually contribute to oxidative stress. It is why those who take the same probiotic daily usually end up sicker. They get too much of specific strains of gut bacteria and are preventing their gut bacteria from balancing out. Cholesterol is an antioxidant and an anti-inflammatory. Reducing cholesterol would do the opposite of what we want. It would increase inflammation and prevent the body from healing.

Vitamin E reduces oxidative stress from LPS but the most effective is a-tocopherol. A-tocopherol is found in wheat germ, liver, egg yolk and nuts. Green leafy vegetables are high in it but most are high oxalate especially spinach so must be cooked to break down the oxalates. I have posted on supplements so I will not get into detail but will list the most effective ones here.

Nicotinamide reduces oxidative stress from endotoxins.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29803807

Foods that help increase nicotinamide are milk , yeast , mushrooms, fish, green vegetables and beer. Most beer is GMO it must be organic because the harm GMOs do would defeat the purpose.

Lycopene reduces oxidative stress. Foods high in lycopene are tomatoes, watermelon, guava, papaya, sweet red peppers, purple cabbage, and mango. Some foods like tomatoes when cooked increases the amount of lycopene the body absorbs.

Carbon dioxide reduces LPS damage but increasing it has to be done with caution. You can increase carbon dioxide by breathing into a paper bag for a short period of them. I would not do this for long though. It takes a while for oxygen levels to return to normal. I do not recommend trying this I put it here for others to research farther. Those with COPD, asthma, or lung damage would not fair well doing this.

Because LPS increases estrogen because it prevents the body from detoxing it, it is important to decrease estrogen. Some medications increase estrogen, stress increases estrogen, nutrient deficiencies increase estrogen, environmental toxins can increase estrogen, emotional stress can increase estrogen. Many view estrogen as a female hormone, men can have high estrogen levels also. Oxidative stress caused by LPS causes nutrient deficiency which prevents the body from detoxing estrogen. It is very important to get the nutrients we need. Especially minerals and fats. Flouride, fluoroquinolones, farm chemicals especially glyphosate increase estrogen. It is best to eat organic when possible. Sunlight helps detox estrogen when we get it in moderation. Those who avoid getting sun have higher rates of cancer. Those who get too much sun have higher rates of kidney stones. So moderation is the key. There is not much research on reducing estrogen but when the other things are addressed and the detox enzymes are functioning again your body will detox the excess estrogen. Fiber also lowers estrogen. High estrogen levels cause lipid oxidation this can result in high triglyceride levels. High tryglycerides are a symptom and not a cause.

Inflammation

It is important to reduce inflammation. Inflammation can inhibit bile, inhibit the bodies ability to detox, it also can cause autoimmune disease. Bile detoxes many things in the body including LPS and it prevents it from entering the body through the digestive tract. If you get constipated or it feels like you have a brick in your stomach after eating then you may have inhibited bile production. This will cause you food to sit in the upper part of the digestive tract and it will ferment instead of digesting which causes many health problems. Cholesterol is needed to produce bile. If we have excess oxidative stress our cholesterol will get oxidize and it is another reason we must address oxidative stress and reduce it. Fats are also needed to produce bile, this also gets oxidized from oxidative stress. Also the metabolic issues like porphyria can cause problems with fat metabolism and is why it is very important to address metabolic issues. I have posted supplements that help with these issues. If you look through the list COX , inhibitors, anti-inflammatory nutrients will help to reduce inflammation. There are many things involved in the production of bile. Even our gut bacteria modulate bile production. Inhibited bile production can also cause problems with the gall bladder. Sulfation is also important factor in bile production so if you have high sulfite levels from gut dysbiosis, candida, CBS or BH4 issues then you need to address those also. Polyunsaturated fatty acids cause a decrease in the livers ability to detox estrogen.

Things that increase bile are lemon water, artichoke, dandelion root, foods high in sulfur. Taurine deficiency which is common in vegetarians can cause inhibited bile production. Taurine has been shown to increase bile flow.

https://www.belmarrahealth.com/bile-function-liver-foods-help-increase-bile-production/

Our gut bacteria also can cause inflammation if we are deficient in certain strains.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4839080/

Bile

Bile aids in the absorption of healthy fat. If we have poor bile production it can have dramatic effects on the whole body. Every cell in the body needs fat, the brain is mostly fat so fat malabsorption effects the whole body.

https://empoweredsustenance.com/fat-malabsorption/

Many think their indigestion is from acid reflux but often times it is from inhibited bile production. Inhibited bile could cause a deficiency in fat soluble vitamins especially vitamin K. Antibiotics also reduce the gut bacteria that produces vitamin K which can add to the problem.

This is a very in depth article on bile.

https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamainternalmedicine/fullarticle/1105662

Adrenal Fatigue

Endotoxins damage betadorphin nerves in the hypothalamus. This results in raised cortisol levels. This is another reason why it is very important to address inflammation. This results in insulin resistance and suppressed progesterone production. LPS causes high histamine levels , progesterone and testosterone are needed to protect us from histamines. There is supplements mentioned in my post on supplements that discusses ways to reduce histamines this is also cover in my post on how our gut bacteria effect our genes. We have histamine reducing bacteria. Adaptogenic herbs help with the adrenal fatigue caused by LPS.

http://www.mdpi.com/1422-0067/18/7/1431

Kupffer Cells

LPS stimulates liver kupffer cells which can cause a rise in reactive oxygen species and inflammatory cytokines. The body can get stuck in a cycle that escalates and the inflammation and oxidative stress will keep increasing. This is why it is very important to address oxidative stress, inflammation and work on detoxing LPS and excitotoxins so the cycle can be broken and healing can begin. If not broken this can result in liver fibrosis. Because kupffer cells are needed to detox LPS we do not want to inhibit them but we need to detox, and address metabolic issues and oxidative stress.

Bradykinin

Bradykinin – it is a peptide that causes blood vessels to dilate, which decreases blood pressure. Bradykinan stimulates the release of Nitric Oxide, Postacyclin, Endothelium-derived hyperpolarizing factor. This allows the smooth muscle to relax , increasing their diameter which reduces blood pressure. Bradykinin raises internal calcium levels in neocortical astrocytes. Astrocytes fuel neurons with energy during times of stress , physical exertion, and periods of fasting. They are important in the flow of blood to the brain. Astrocytes clear excess postassium in extracellular space. Excess potassium can cause epilepsy. Astrocytes in the hippocampus suppress synaptic transmition by releasing ATP which through a number of processes produces adenosine. Adenosine prevents tachycardia. Astrocytes promote the healing of nerves but if over stimulated can cause nerve damage. Astrocytes can also promote nerve cell and brain cell growth. ACE inhibition raises bradykinin and causes the dry cough people get from taking ACE inhibitors. High bradykinin levels causes asthma, and swelling in legs , face, and abdomin. High bradykinin levels also causes vomiting and airway obstruction. Bromelain, aloe vera, and polyphenols reduce the effects of bardykinin.

HPA axis is important in the homeostasis of bradykinin.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22935637

So we can see not enough bradykinin can effect our health as much as too much bradykinin. Homeostasis should be the goal with all our health goals. Once we reach homeostasis then we need to work towards maintaining it to prevent over doing things which can cause just as much harm.

http://www.nwpii.com/ajbms/papers/AJBMS_2011_2_09.pdf

High bradykinin levels can cause low blood pressure, tachycardia, blood vessel leakage, it can cause inflammation especially in the salivary glands. Bradykinin also raises substance P which causes burning in the scalp and down the spine, also can be felt in the skin and increases at night. ACE inhibitors raise bradykinin levels.

https://www.pharmacorama.com/en/Sections/Angiotensin_2.php

https://www.news-medical.net/health/ACE-Inhibitor-Side-Effects.aspx

Glycosides like astilbene and eurcrypin inhibit bradykinin. Also keep in mind histamines and inflammation stimulate bradykinin so we must reduce those also. Most plant polyphenols will reduce bradykinin especially grapes and the white part of citrus fruit. Also if we do not have high sulfite levels , high sulfur foods reduce bradykinin.

Hormones and their effects.

Adenosine- is involved in the regulation of blood pressure. If deficient a person could develop high blood pressure and tachycardia. It reduces inflammation by suppressing the activity of most immune cells. A deficiency can be caused by excess inflammation and immune responses. This can result in muscle fatigue. D-ribose has been found to help reduce the fatigue. So those with lung disease , cardiovascular disease or low immune function could be effected by adenosine.

Symptoms of adenosine deficiency would be muscle fatigue will exercising and frequent infections in the lungs. A deficiency in adenosine causes a loss of T regulatory cells. Symptoms of this are conditons such as eczema , and also type 1 diabetes. Adenosine deficiency also causes hypoxia. Excess adenosine can result in asthma. When cells are stressed or damaged adenosine increases. This is why I freqently say homeostasis should always be the goal. Those with low adenosine may have trouble sleeping.

Adiponectin

Adiponectin is a protein hormone involved in regulating glucose levels in the body. It plays a role in the endocrine system, and metabolic and inflammatory signaling. Issues with adiponectin have been tied to ADHD, diabetes, and arthritis. Those who have type 2 diabetes, obesity, hyperlipodemia, and arthritis have been shown to have low adiponectin levels. Alpha-Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone

Alpha-Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone- it is an endogenous hormone and neuropeptide. It is one of the proteins responsible for hair and skin pigmentation. It plays a role in our feeding behavior, energy homeostasis in the body and even our sexual activity. It protects from injury that results from restricted blood flow, it also protects from the injury that results when the blood flow is restored. When blood flow has been restricted and then is restored it results in oxidative stress and inflammation. It also has antimicrobial properties.

Brain Nutriuretic Peptide

Brain Nutriuretic Peptide – is a hormone secreted in heart muscle cells. It reduces blood pressure, it reduces renal sodium reabsorption and increases the break down of fats. It reduces the release of aldosterone in the adrenal cortex. Aldosterone causes a reabsorption of salt and water into the body and a loss of potassium which results in high blood pressure. Those with Addison’s disease and chronic fatigue syndrome were found to have the opposite problem they have too much BNP in their bodies.

http://www.yourhormones.info/hormones/aldosterone/

https://openheart.bmj.com/content/4/2/e000697

BNP is released during strokes to protect the brain from injury.

http://jaha.ahajournals.org/content/6/12/e007329

Oldly enough high BNP levels increases the risk of high blood pressure in men but not women. It is released when the arteries start hardening, most likely to try and protect the body. Most know by now hardening of the arteries is caused by oxidative stress and inflammation. So high BNP levels would indicate a problem that needs addressed. I do need to research this more because I could not find much information on decreasing or increasing BNP safely.

https://www.physiology.org/doi/pdf/10.1152/japplphysiol.00360.2016

Things that reduce BNP also reduces cortisol so I would say there is a feedback loop between the two and reducing cortisol would reduce BNP and vice versa.

Things that raise BNP are excessive alcohol consumption, smoking, stress, sleep deprivation, NSAIDs, oxidative stress, inflammation. So reducing oxidative stress, meditate and do other things to reduce stress, get plenty of sleep, stop smoking if you smoke, consume alcohol in moderation, use natural methods of reducing inflammation instead of NSAIDs shoulld reduce BNP and cortisol.

Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide

Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide is another mechanism the body uses to protect itself. It is released during pain or other stimuli that can indicate harm to the body. Is is found in the nerves throughout the body. It is released during inflammation in nerves and from activation of the capsaicin receptors in the gastrointestinal system. It is a vasodilator so can reduce blood pressure and prevent cardiovascular disease. If too high in the body it can cause high systolic blood pressure. It also causes head aches if levels are too high. Raise levels cause the nerves to become sensitive. Serotonin reduces CGRP. Low estrogen causes a rise in CGRP and is why many experience headaches around the time of their menstruations. Things that contain phytoestrogens may help with this.

I do not recommend trying to increase CGRP because substance P is usually high in those with endotoxemia and it increases the potency of substance P.

If levels are too high there are natural inhibitors. Proanthocyanidins increases serrotonin which reduces CGRP. Avoid capsaicin it is a CGRP activator.

Mast Cells

Mast cells are one of the bodies first responses to an invader even in parasite invasions. They accomplish this through extracellular trap formation. They also release antimicrobial agents. Some pathogens like tuberculosis have developed strategies to avoid destruction by mast cells. Lyme is another infection that has developed more strategies to evade the immune system the HIV.

When endotoxin levels get high then mast cells start to break down which causes high histamine levels. This results in allergies and sensitivities.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22581748

Because some pathogens can evade the effects of mast cells in removing them it can set off mast cell activation syndrome or mastocytosis. Both disorders are very similar and difficult to tell appart.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5112577/

Description of mastocytosis. Symptoms can be skin rashes or lesions, difficulty breathing, swelling under the skin or in the mucous membranes, diarrhea, low blood pressure, bloating, Inhibiting inflammation, cox, and reducing histamines helps resolve this. I have mentioned in the links at the beginning of this article things that help reduce histamines and on another post I did no gut microbiome I mention probiotics that will reduce histamines. The symptoms of Mastocytosis and mast cell activation syndrome are similar and how to resolve it are the same.

Proenkephalin and Kyotorphin

proenkephalin an kyotorphin are neuroactive dipeptides that plays a major role in pain regulation in the brain. They release met-enkephalin which has opioid like effects. Low levels of kyotorphin causes persistent pain. It also reduces inflammation similar to how steroids do.

Has effects of endotoxin induced inflammation similar to how steroids would.

hypothalamus-adrenal-axis regulates met-enkephalin so it is important to reduce inflammation, histamines, and toxins because they can have a negative impact on them. Vaccinations, farm chemicals, fluoride and drugs, especially fluoroquinolone have been shown to disrupt the HPA axis. Stress and lack of sleep also disrupt the HPA axis. Thiamin deficiency can have a negative impact on the HPA axis and glyphosate causes many nutrient deficiencies. Many of us are in very stressful situations we cannot get out of, we must learn to remain calm because it will effect the HPA access. I know it can be difficult but if we don’t win that battle we will lose the long term battle.

Melatonin

Melatonin – is one of the bodies most powerful antioxidants. It is produced in the pineal gland. It regulates our sleep wake cycles. It is a powerful anti-inflammatory. It also regulates our blood pressure. It can be found in our food. Foods that contain it are bananas, grapes, rice, grains, plums, olive oil, pineapple, and oranges. I do not believe in taking things orally because often times taking things orally can disrupt the bodies ability to produce the substance so I try my best to stimulate the production or find food sources. Inflammation disrupts the production of melatonin.

Norepinephrine, also known as Noradrenaline.

Norepinephrine – it is an amino acid derivative that functions as a hormone and neurol transmitter. It is produced in the adrenal glands and an area of the brain stem that is responsible for our responses to stress and panic. It functions to mobilize the body to action. It rises when we wake and in the presence of danger or stress. It enhances memory retrieval . Too much norepinenphrine causes restlessness and anxiety. It increases heart rate and triggers the release of glucose. It increases blood flow to the muscles. It reduces blood flow to the gastrointestinal system and inhibits bladder voiding. So it can cause inhibited digestion and difficulty voiding the bladder when levels are high. Norepinephrine prevents low blood pressure. Low levels of norepinephrine have been tied to depression and ADHD. So we can see how we need to reach homeostasis with norepinephrine because it has dramatic effects throughout the body. Metabolic issues can prevent it from being produced or prevent it’s break down. So if we have high or low levels we must address metabolic issues especially phenylketonuria.

Norepinephrine helps protect from sepsis.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25277635

High norepinephrine has been linked to increased attention, increased awareness, anxiety, restlessness, paranoia, increased heart rate, hypertension, reduced sensitivity to pain, ADHD, depression and difficulty digesting foods and difficulty urinating. There are ways discussed in this article to reduce or raise levels. Though the effects it has is incorrect in this article. Many sites state these things but when I read the research the effects I mentioned above is what the research has shown. So they may be correct on how to lover or raise levels but many sites are incorrect on the effects of norepinephrine.

Endotoxemia or Sepsis

This is not medical advice and should not be taken as such. I post this for educational and informational purposes.

Because most allopathic medical treatment is not based valid scientific research you need to be your own advocate and do your research. Allopathic medicine is usually about 50 years behind the science. So in order to be healthier you will need to educate yourself and become an advocate for your own health . It takes a lot of self discipline and persistence.

I did a post on Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction. Herxing is a symptom of the die off from an infection. In this post I am going to show what all is going on as a pathogens die off. One of the major toxins is endotoxins they also secrete excitoxins. They cause most of the damage from dying pathogens. The presence of endotoxins in the blood is called endotoxemia. You do not have to be treated with antibiotics to experience it. The body fighting infection can raise endotoxins in the blood. Many now days most likely are carrying and infection of some type and do not know it because vaccinations have been found to be contaminated with mycoplasma and most have been vaccinated. Mycoplasmas can live in the body for many years. Endotoxins are usually connected to bacterial infections. Endotoxins can be released when fungal infections die off also. When Candida is in pathogenic form it will release endotoxins when it dies off. Inflammation is the main culprit in endotoxemia. It can inhibit many metabolic pathways, disable the immune system. As a matter of fact it is one of the main tactics used by HIV and Lyme to disable the immune system. It will take a while but I will try to do post on methods used to address the many health issues caused by endotoxemia.

Now GMOs and the farm chemicals used in agriculture can cause the very same things but have to be dealt with somewhat differently. Our food supply has been found to contain high levels of farm chemicals and the BT Toxin in Genetically Modified foods has been found to cause the body to react the same way it would if you had food poisoning. That is why many feel like they have a brick in their stomach after eating. So you can experience sepsis which would resemble endotoxemia but need to address it somewhat differently. If time permits I will address sepsis caused by things like these. Imagine if you are dealing with an infection which many infections can persist for years without major symptoms and now you are dealing with sepsis from farm chemicals. Now you have become Synergistically Ill. Vaccine injury is a result of a synergistic effect of the bodies reactions to the pathogen in the vaccine and the toxins so it would be a synergistic type illness. Just just as we would need to learn how farm toxins and environmental toxins contributed synergistically to make someone ill and how those toxins effected the body would need to be researched and addressed so would the toxins in the vaccine that caused the injury and how the toxins in them have effected the body.

Inflammation causes changes in pathways involved in oxidative stress, fatty acid metabolism, the bodies system for healing and protecting itself, and the coagulation system of the blood. This can result in a variety of illnesses and each is effected differently. In some instances in the elderly instead of having excess inflammation their inflammatory response may be inhibited which can prevent the body from healing and protecting itself. Once Lyme sets off an inflammatory response it will use this tactic to protect itself from an immune response. Lyme sets off an inflammatory response to initially evade the immune system. This causes the body to unleash an all out attack but Lyme is prepared for such an attack and once established it will start doing the opposite and start inhibiting inflammation to help stealth itself from the bodies immune system. Drugs are another source of synergistic effects that can cause a synergistic effect of sepsis and side effects that cause injury to the body which complicates matters. Many believe they are only dealing with sepsis but often times they are dealing with the synergistic effects of sepsis and something else in their environment. Fluroquinolones are known to cause major damage to the body and induce sepsis causing a synergistic effect.

In order to detox the endotoxins we must focus on controlling inflammation, we need inflammation to heal so homeostasis is the goal. We need inflammation to heal so if we suppress it too much then we will prevent ourselves from healing. We need to reduce inflammation but not prevent it entirely.

So we must address the issues the inflammation and high toxin levels have caused, thing like inhibited glucuronidation, sulfation issues, porphyria, phenylketonuria, and many other metabolic issues that can occur from chronic illness. Not only that but many other things need to be addressed our detox enzymes can be inhibited or depleted and would need to be addressed. This can be done with proper nutritional support and diet adjustments to prevent feeding the problems and making them worse. For example cutting processed sugars especially fructose from the diet. This does not mean cutting the fruits that contain sugars in them because they are actually needed by the body and are different because of the way they enter the body and are used by the body. I have posted on how I dealt with some of these issues already.

The majority of the medical community seem to be unaware of endotoxemia and do not seem to be able to identify or deal with it.

I have found this to be very common in those with endotoxemia. Bile flow has been obstructed from the inflammation. This results in effects on the whole body. This was the hardest part to deal with for me. Our diaphragms can become pretty much paralyzed. When I told my Lyme Literate Medical Doctor that sometimes I struggle to breath and had to force my diaphragm to work he laughed at me. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29925937

Many develop high acetycholine levels because endotoxins can inhibit acetylcholesterase which breaks down acetylcholine. It is very important to address this because not only will this cause mental issues like anxiety it can also result in a higher rate of mortality. This is why it is very important to address the things causing the inflammation.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29853783

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5949165/

The saddest part of it all is the medical community is still struggling on how to identify sepsis. What I am finding is allopathic medicine is usually decades behind the science. For example all research concerning Lyme disease decades ago was proven to have been falsified. There is newer real research on Lyme disease and it’s treatment but allopathic medicine is still relying on the falsified studies from decades ago in their decision making on patients care in tick born illness.
